Emergency broadcasts are a way for authorities to communicate urgent information to the public during a crisis. In the United States, the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) are the main systems used for emergency broadcasts:

Emergency Alert System (EAS)

A national warning system that allows officials to broadcast emergency alerts on radio, television, cable, and satellite. The EAS is used when other means of alerting the public are unavailable. The President activates the national-level EAS, while the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) are responsible for testing and exercises.

Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA)

A system that allows authorities to send emergency alerts to mobile devices. Some carriers only offer WEA on some of their devices, so you should check with your carrier to see if your phone is WEA-capable. Devices that can receive emergency alerts include:

Smart watches and phones with Android GO with Android 13 or later

Apple phones (iPhone 8 or later) running on iOS 16.2 or later

Apple watch running on watchOS 9.2 or later

Smart watches with wearOS

The EAS and WEA are part of the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS), which coordinates emergency broadcasts across multiple channels.

2022年12月14日（水）

出勤すると、メールボックスに過日回答した＜ストレスチェック＞の結果が届けられていた。＜回答時のあなたのストレスの状態は普通より低めで、またストレスの原因となる要素もあまりない様子が窺えます。＞とのことだ。ま、同僚諸氏が授業や入試、学生対応などで忙しくしているところ、授業のみで他の学務無しという気楽な（低賃金の）立場だから当然であろう。残る2年＋α、楽しく過ごさせていただこう。

5時30分起床。

月水は朝が忙しいので日誌を書く余裕がなく、出勤後のことにする。

ツレアイが息子2人分の朝食と、2男のおにぎりを用意する。

今朝は残っていた冷凍うどん、トッピングは関東煮の残りのゆで卵。

洗濯1回。

空き瓶・缶、45L*1。

ツレアイは今日も午後から休みをもらったとのこと、帰宅して食べられるようにと弁当を3人分用意する。

ツレアイの職場経由で出勤する。

順調に到着。

換気してから暖房のスイッチオン、まずは昨日の日誌を作成してポストする。

週末の＜冬の京都でキルト展＞用に、配付資料を印刷する。

水曜日は2限・3限「情報機器の操作Ⅱ（食物栄養学科）」、先週の入力試験で不合格となったものの再試験＋エクセルのグラフの復習＋データベース機能。

2限のクラスは全員合格していたが、3限は欠席者が多く、本日も遅刻者がいたりして3名不合格、来週の年内最終授業時に再々試験を実施する。

明日の「共生社会と人権（人権論）」の配付資料を印刷する。

帰宅��、＜韓国の原爆被害者を救援する市民の会・大阪支部＞のFacebookページの更新作業。

apple からアップデート通知、iOS 16.2, watchOS 9.2と��った。この段階で、iPad を職場に忘れてきたことに気づく。

灯油の移動販売、18l購入。

夕飯は鍋、ツレアイがスーパーで＜やたがらす＞のワンカップを半額でゲット、それならいただかねばなるまい。

少し食べ過ぎたので、軽く町内をウォーキングして歩数を稼ぐ。

片付け、入浴、体重は300g減、よし！

ツレアイは明日の午前10時に整形外科を予約しているとのこと、良い結果を期待しよう。

なんとか3つのリング完成、水分は1,400ml。
