According to Apple, the device that heard you best or the device that was most recently raised or used will respond. Siri is an active assistant that you can interact with, but Apple has also integrated Siri into other aspects of iOS and watchOS, allowing Siri to make proactive suggestions that you can act on. On the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, Siri can make various kinds of recommendations. When you're running late for a scheduled meeting, for example, Siri might suggest that you call your boss either on the Home screen or when you swipe down to search and access the Siri Suggestions options. In Messages and Mail, Siri can suggest things like phone numbers or addresses based on what you've typed, and in Safari, Siri can offer up search suggestions. Siri can do other things like suggest HomeKit scenes to activate, suggest a time to leave when you have an event scheduled, suggest events to add to your calendar from your email, and more. Siri suggestions are all based on your personal device usage habits, so what you see will vary. There's also a feature in iOS called 'Siri Shortcuts,' which are shortcuts and automations that let you complete multi-step tasks on your iPhone. Siri Shortcuts are so named because Siri will suggest them to you and because you can activate Shortcuts with a Siri trigger word.

For many Mac users, one of the top features of macOS 10.14 Mojave will be the new Home app and support for controlling HomeKit devices with Siri on the Mac. Both of these have been sorely missed in previous versions of macOS, but Mojave is finally changes things…

Home app

First and foremost, macOS 10.14 features a new Home app. As Apple explained on stage at WWDC, this is one of the applications it brought from iOS to macOS using new cross-platform frameworks.

On the surface, it’s not necessarily clear that the Home app was brought directly from iOS to macOS. It looks and operates like a Mac app for the most part, though there are some instances where things feel a bit wonky.

For instances, when you would 3D Touch in iOS app, you have to right-click on macOS. This isn’t explicitly clear and causes some funky windowing to occur. However, what’s important to remember here is that this is only the first beta of macOS 10.14 Mojave, and we can expect Apple to refine things as the testing continues over the coming months.

In terms of features, the Home app on macOS works just as you would expect it to. App for google photos mac download.

Along the top of the app, you have tabs for Home, Rooms, and Automation, as well as a “+” icon for creating a new scene or automation. At this time, it appears that scene creation is broken in the Home app for iOS and macOS, but that’ll be fixed in future betas.

To search for an image on Docker Hub run the docker command with the search subcommand, like so:

When you find the image you want to use you can download it using the pull subcommand, For example, to install Alpine Linux I run sudo docker pull alpine.

In this guide we looked at installing Docker on Ubuntu 20.04 and getting official images installed. But this is only the beginning of what possible with Docker.

One possible avenue to explore is installing Docker rootless. This is an experimental feature and not (yet) easy to enable. But the effort required to set it up is worth it if you’re concerned about security and stability.

Between mid October 2019 and mid February 2020 everyone in the Army was migrated to use their PIV Authentication certificate for Email access. You no longer use the Email certificate for Enterprise Email.

Mac users who choose to upgrade (or already have upgraded) to Mac OS Catalina (10.15.x) will need to uninstall all 3rd Party CAC enablers per https://militarycac.com/macuninstall.htm AND reenable the built in smart card ability (very bottom of macuninstall link above)

Step 2d: Verify the CAC reader shows in Hardware, USB, under USB Device Tree. Different readers will show differently, most readers have no problem in this step. See Step 2d1 for specific reader issues.

Step 2d1: Verify firmware version on your SCR-331 or GSR-202, 202V, 203 CAC, or SCR-3500a reader. If you have a reader other than these 5, Proceed directly to step 3

In the 'Hardware' drop down, click 'USB.' On the right side of the screen under 'USB Device Tree' the window will display all hardware plugged into the USB ports on your Mac. Look for “SCRx31 USB Smart Card Reader.” If the Smart Card reader is present, look at 'Version' in the lower right corner of this box: If you have a number below 5.18, you need to update your firmware to 5.25. The 'bad certs' that have caused problems for Windows users now show up in the keychain access section on some Macs. These need to be deleted / moved to trash.

The DoD Root CA 2 & 3 you are removing has a light blue frame, leave the yellow frame version. The icons may or may not have a red circle with the white x

Apple has been working with developers to transition their apps, and in 2018 Apple informed them that macOS Mojave would be the last version of macOS to run 32-bit apps.

Apple's transition to 64-bit technology is now complete. Starting with macOS Catalina, 32-bit apps are no longer compatible with macOS. If you have a 32-bit app, please check with the app developer for a 64-bit version.

When you attempt to open a 32-bit app, you will see an alert that the app needs to be updated to work with this version of macOS, or that the app is not optimized for your Mac and needs to be updated.

If you haven't upgraded to macOS Catalina, you can still open and use the app, but you should check with the app developer for a 64-bit version that also works with the latest macOS.

How to find 32-bit apps on your Mac

System Information can find 32-bit apps that are installed on your Mac:

Choose Apple menu  > About This Mac, then click the System Report button.

Select Legacy Software in the sidebar. All legacy software is 32-bit.

If you don't see Legacy Software in the sidebar, select Applications in the sidebar, then check the list of apps on the right. The column labeled ”64-Bit (Intel)” shows ”No” for apps that are 32-bit.

When upgrading to macOS Catalina, the installer shows a list of recently used apps that are 32-bit. You can review this list before choosing whether to cancel or continue the installation:

How to contact the app developer

Apple Music is a streaming music service that brings more than 50 million songs and a strong music video crop to macOS, iOS, tvOS, watchOS, CarPlay, HomePod, Windows, Android, Chrome OS, Amazon Echo, Sonos, and web browsers. So, if you own a consumer tech device, there's a good chance that you can use it to stream Apple Music. Signing up is easy. Apple Music offers a three-month trial, which is a significant amount of time to try before you subscribe (you'll still need to supply credit or debit card info, though). After that, you'll need to sign up for a subscription plan. The $9.99 per month Single Membership and the $14.99 Family Membership (for up to six people using iCloud Family Sharing) grant ad-free music listening, ad-free video watching, offline listening, and access to Beats 1 Radio (Apple's human-curated, 24/7 channel). I like seeing Apple Music and other streaming music services adopt family plans, which is something that LiveXLive still lacks. If you're a college student who's enrolled in an eligible college or university, you can subscribe to Apple Music for a wallet-friendly $4.99 per month. Students can take advantage of the discount for up to four years. Spotify and Tidal offer a similar student deal. Unfortunately, Apple Music lacks a free, ad-supported version.

Putting the Needle to the Groove

Apple Music's layout features large, eye-catching icons that invite you to explore the service, be it via a browser or an app. Honestly, that's something that you're likely to do anyway, as the interface features a menu structure that helps you quickly find content. Library, Playlists, Artists, Albums, and Songs are all prominent and easy to navigate. Apple Music is also for discovering new music, not just for listening to old favorites. So, I hopped over to the For You section and swiped through numerous themed playlists, such as Eric Clapton: The Early Years and Lady Gaga vs. Madonna. Apple must have discovered that people really dig these prefabricated playlists, because the original For You iteration was an entirely different beast. The older For You tasked you with manually selecting genres using brightly colored bubbles and creating stations around those picks. So, basically, the current For You removes the extra step. Of course, you still have the option to use the search box to find new tunes.

Digging Into the Library

Apple Music features a vast selection of albums and songs, including Dr. Dre's The Chronic, as well as tracks from Taylor Swift and other pop acts. I found many Prince albums, too, including 1999, Purple Rain, and Sign 'O' the Times. You can also listen to music channels dedicated to certain themes, such as Hip-Hop Workout Anthems and Disney Princess Radio. There are plenty of comedy tracks, too, for those times when you're in the mood to yuck it up. Maria Bramford, Kevin Hart, Eddie Murphy, Joe Rogan, Amy Schumer, Daniel Tosh, Katt Williams, and Daniel Tosh arer just a few of the notable comedians who have standup work on Apple Music. Meanwhile, Apple's flagship radio station, Beats 1, features tracks curated by DJ Zane Lowe, along with artist interviews. However, that's the extent of the music-related extras; Apple Music lacks LiveXLive's Stories and music history channels (Artist DNA and Sample City), Tidal's editorial, and Spotify's podcasts. If you want to listen to podcasts, Apple Podcasts is your destination. If you dig music videos, you'll be happy to know that Apple Music has a dedicated section for that medium. The videos are tailored to your preferences, too, so it was not at all surprising that I was fed plenty of hip-hop tracks.

Audio Quality and Siri

Apple Music's audio quality is fine, but not as high as Tidal's Hi-Fi and Masters offering. Only hardcore audiophiles will notice the difference, as the audio streams at 256 Kbps. That's a lower bitrate than Spotify's 320 Kbps streams, but Apple's use of the AAC format enables its streams to retain more audio data. In addition, Apple Music supports lyrics (when they are available), so you can sing along to a song, even if you don't know the words. What would an Apple service be if it didn't encourage you to use other Apple services and products along with it? You can use Siri to tell Apple Music to play specific songs or ask for recommendations, like The Top Songs of the 80s. Apple Watch owners can sync music to their devices and keep listening even when not paired to an iPhone.

A Sound Garden

The 90-day free trial should be plenty of time to determine whether Apple Music is a service you want to invest in (just make sure to turn off auto-payments in case you don't dig it). However, chances are that if you're a music fan, you'll like it. Apple Music has numerous tracks and music videos, as well as very solid radio service in Beats 1.
