Godzilla vs Gigan was actually Godzilla and Angurius vs King Ghidorah and Gigan. I had a hard time getting through this one but mostly because I couldn't find a dub and I was trying to do other things besides read my TV. I put it on while I took a bath tonight and I got invested in the plot once I gave it my full attention. This one's a mystery which unfolds as you go. Godzilla and Angurius talk in thought bubbles and there's a giant Godzilla building. I don't really get whatever Gigan is but he's from outer space and he looks cool. The big reveal had me howling with laughter. #watchinggodzillas

Loved Godzilla x Kong! This one had a lot going on but I was into all of it. Did it matter/help that id watched them all? Absolutely not but I didn't watch them for the purpose of watching this in the theater, that was just the end goal for the timing. Every one of the Godzilla films brought something to the party and I feel like it was some kind of life lesson to go into each next chapter with no expectations and find what there was to enjoy before moving on to the next. I will try to bring this spirit with me to everything I do. #watchinggodzillas

I'm not watching Kong: Skull Island and you can't make me. I've just spent three months of my life #watchinggodzillas and I'm going to see Godzilla x Kong tonight in 3D. But I do have enough time to watch @luluclemons @newrockstars break it down for me before I go to the theater. I totally got the idea from watching Godzilla vs Kong last night and I'm very ready to rejoin society and stop watching these films now.

Godzilla vs Kong was fantastic! It looked great and it was exciting AF the whole way through. King Kong basically had a bad day that was just an endless string of traumatizing things happening to him while the humans did stuff that was interesting but not too much stuff. Godzilla godzillad and they made a great looking and fierce Mechagodzilla out of the head Godirah lost last film. Really good. I'm very glad to not have any more to watch. I may do the King Kongs eventually but I also might not. Really good way to end the at-home portion of my #watchinggodzillas

Halfway through the last Godzilla film there is to watch before I take myself to the theater for the newest one. This was a project I started in the winter to keep myself entertained while I waited for Spring to come so I'm ready to go out into the world and do irl things now even if the weather isn't cooperating yet. I know I didn't watch all the Legendary films, just the Godzilla ones and that's fine with me. I'll probably get to the others eventually. This whole thing took longer than expected what with Sausage Queen consuming my life unexpectedly for most of February, but I feel like that was quite an accomplishment and I'm proud of myself for being recognized as the fun weirdo I think of myself as. I'm only a week behind in Godzillas and I'm sure Ill do a whole lot more posts about him before I'm done but I just wanted to take this moment to say, "That was a lot of Godzillas" . #watchinggodzillas

I finished Godzilla King of Monsters last night which means I've only got one more to go before I can go see the one in theaters now! I liked this one a lot which is awesome because I generally haven't liked King Gidorah or ones with too many monsters in it but I really like how these Legendary films make me care about the people and still get the monster stuff right. I still really love a guy in a Godzilla suit in a miniature city but they've done a great job making a modern Godzilla. I've run out of Big Action Bill History of videos but MT has broken this one down for me Heavy Spoilers @mastertainment #watchinggodzillas

Shin Godzilla got bigger once he stood up. This was an interesting take on things from the point of view of politicians and administrators trying to deal with the Godzilla problem in real time, not knowing what they were doing or dealing with and making mistakes as they went. Relatable. Too much talking for me but I did get through it in one sitting. It looked great and there was an incredible amount of destruction. Godzilla had some new tricks I liked buti expected to like this more than I did. I'm pretty excited I've only got two more Lgendary films before I finally take myself to the theater for the current film. #watchinggodzillas

After every film, I watch @bigactionbill 's YouTube History of that film. This one is over 2 hrs long but it's Easter Sunday and I've got time. I love how he fills in all the history for me. I learn everything from him. I'm like how is he referencing Godzilla Minus One winning the Oscar in here? That just happened! And then I see this was uploaded 9 days ago so I guess I'm catching up to him. #watchinggodzillas

It took me so long to watch this 2014 Godzilla because I put it on and the special effects were so good I decided to do a bunch of other stuff first so I could give it my full attention and then when I got to it I kept getting interrupted so I ended up watching it in 20 min chunks. I went in with a good attitude and I was very pleased they got all of the critical elements I expect in a Godzilla film right. This was a disaster film and other than the nighttime monster battles being so dark I couldn't see shit even with the brightness turned way up, I thought it was great. Its definitely not a guy in a suit film but it was Godzilla. The main dude was conveniently located in all the right places throughout the entire film but I can roll with that. #watchinggodzillas

Washing fake blood out of everything while I start Godzilla (2014) which puts me in the Legendary Monsterverse finally. Looks like I'm not as far behind as I'd thought since some of the films on my list are anime and I'm just going to skip those so I think I've got four more till I can go see Godzilla x Kong in the theater! WTF did I just watch?!?! 😂😜😂😜 I was warned generally about Final Wars and I saw a pic ahead of time with the baby Godzilla driving the car so I thought this one might be a wild ride. I wasn't expecting every monster ever to make an appearance. There was also Mutants and Aliens and much melodrama and a lady in a red plastic coat. And a little dog. The monster fights were good. I guess the people ones were too but I didn't sign up for people fights. This all went very Power Rangers at times and I found myself asking why are they doing any of this and what am I watching? It's also the longest of all the films. My very short attention span was pleased with so much going on for about the first hour and a half but then there was more people action and I stopped caring and I was like ... Is this not over yet?;?;? Godzilla fought everyone and those parts were fun to watch but really why any of this film. How did they decide this was the direction to take this film? It seems incredibly weird to me. That's the end of the Millennium Era which I found generally more boring than the other two Eras. At least Final Wars wasn't boring. #watchinggodzillas

I loved Godzilla: Tokyo SOS. What I've learned so far from #watchinggodzillas is that after a couple of bad or boring ones, there's always a great one. Just when you give up hope, it's awesome again. Every era seems to be this way. This film was 2003, which for me was when I was just starting to come out of a really dark period of my life and Hugh hired me as a gay bartender at Jacobs' in Cincinnati. The bar was gay, I was the token straight girl. For me it was the beginning of a whole new era in my life. For Godzilla, its the first one I've liked in awhile so it kinda parallels my life at the time. Hopefully Godzilla's life goes on an upward trajectory from here like mine mostly did.
