Hey guys! Here are some glimpses of the assignments that I saved from my favorite class in senior year aka my Italian class. It was so incredibly fun; since the class was an elective, we got to have a lot of fun with learning about the culture like through projects, presentations, virtual reality (we toured Rome and it was so cool), songs, movies, and we ate lots of food, talked, and the class was just such a fresh breath of air to my day! I’ve always been in love with the Italian language and their culture (seriously, I’ve always been magnetically drawn to it since I was young, I still don’t know why) so it was such an enjoyable class and I’m so grateful that I had the chance to take it! Every week, we would do a quick research about a cultural topic regarding Italy and it always filled my soul. As for some quick life updates, starting today, I probably won’t be as active for a month or so because I’m taking some time to myself and to spend more time with my family, but you’ll hopefully still see me from time to time! I hope y’all will have a wonderful week ahead of you!! 🤍✨

a/n: this is a spin-off/mini-blurb that i might turn into the part 2 of my recent fic passing clouds!

you wiped away the rest of your tears before unlocking your phone to dial another number, the only number you trusted at this time, who picked up on the very first call.

“hey mark.. can you come pick me up?”

“(y/n)? what’s wrong? are you okay?” childhoodfriend!mark sensed your distress, worry heavy in his voice as he scrambled for his keys. “where are you?”

“i’m at the movie theater right now, the one by the diner. jisung stood me up,” you mumbled shamefully. you wanted to crawl into a pit and stay there forever, overwhelmed with embarrassment. this moment is definitely the most humiliating one of my entire life, you thought bitterly.

“can you please come as soon as you can..” you sniffled.

“i’m on my way, stay right there. i’ll be there soon, (y/n), i promise. just hold on,” mark’s soothing voice eased your body, some sense of comfort returning to relax your racing heart and mind. “it’ll be okay.”

Author’s note: Alright, for @lovelikeyoursfest​ prompt of “The Day to Day Bliss” ( I apologize for a day late submission notice. Took me a long time to make this. 😅), I was listening to the song called “Way Back Home” by SHAUN which is the same title as the fic. And it got me to write this. And I recommended listening to the song when reading this. Links are below right here.

There’s two version, one ft. Conor Maynard. I think the original Korean version is more relatable to the fic, but I like both so I recommended both. Either way, I hope you enjoy!

Every time Asra leaves the shop, he would always see that lonely expression on her face but then saw her smiling brightly whenever he came back. Guilt creeps up to him. It’s not that he was trying to avoid her. Of course, that was never the case. He was only trying to protect her. Or so he kept telling himself that. He doesn’t want to risk hurting her by getting emotionally close to her and returning her memories. Yet, it still hurts to leave her all over again.

After receiving the word from Muriel that she’s asleep and thanking the former for looking after her, Asra went inside the shop quietly and saw Iris laying on the couch, with several books either opened or closed in front of her. Faust was curled up beside her comfortably until she saw the white hair magician.

“Asra home!” Faust telepathically cheered as she slithered towards him.

“I’m definitely home, Faust,” Asra replied with a smile.

“Friend asleep!”

“I know. Thanks, Faust. I’ll take it from here.”

After rewarding Faust with chin scritches, the white hair magician gathered all the books to its respective place on the shelves. He thought he made a noise at some point because all of a sudden, he heard the white hair woman stirred from her sleep.

“Master? You’re home,” she mumbled sleepily.

“Hey, Iris. I am,” he replied gently, though he winced a bit when he heard Iris called him ‘master’, “C’mon. We should get you to bed. It’s more comfortable there.”

Iris mumbled something that not even Asra could comprehend and then tiredly have her arms out, as if she wanted him to hold her. The white hair magician hesitated for a second before giving it a chance to gather Iris in his arms and carry her to bed. He could’ve sworn his heart skipped a bit when she wrapped her arms around him and nuzzles his neck.

He managed to tuck her in, only to hear her whisper before falling back asleep, “...I miss you.”

Then, he felt his heart pang and replied softly and sadly, “...I miss you, too.”

Ironically, Asra has always been away when Iris needed him the most. Yet, he knows that she could take care of herself. And that was proven when she was tasked to investigate Lucio’s murder at the palace. Still, he just can’t help but worry.

Maybe her visit to the gateway between worlds triggered that feeling. Just seeing her beside him, being able to touch her, and to hold her fills him with joy. And that kiss they shared...it definitely brought back the times when they used to be together. Yet, it was almost as if she was the one who always completes him as a whole. Heart-to-heart.

And that certain feeling definitely got him to head back to Vesuvia and entered the palace just to see that certain blue-eyes magician in person again. Let’s just say that seeing that reaction that took her breath away from seeing him in person again was worth it.

“I can’t believe...you’re here,” she managed to whisper right after he hugged her.

“I am.”

A year passed after that near life-or-death experience from The Devil. And everything in Vesuvia went back to normal again. Though, no one...not even the two magicians...would like to go through that event ever again.

They just got back from one of their travels and opened up the shop. However, business ended up being slow today so the couple decided to close the shop early and spend the rest of the day being lazy. And that ended up with Asra laying down on Iris’s lap while the latter was playing with his fluffy hair. (And Faust is curled up on her tiny hammock Asra made for her).

Asra had one of his violet eyes open and smiled at the woman he loves, which made her raise her eyebrow in curiosity.

“What? Is there something on my face?” she asked.

“No, of course not, love,” he laughed, “It’s just that thinking back...every time I look at you, every moment I spent with you, no matter where I go...I always go back to you.”

That got Iris to giggled, “Well, I’m your lighthouse, am I? What are you getting at, Asra?”

The white haired magician gently cupped her on the side of her cheek and sighed in content, “Whenever I’m with you, I feel like I’m home.”

The woman responded by smiling and taking his hand to her lips, kissing those gentle, calloused fingers one by one. “Then, I’m glad you’re home.”

She leans down and their lips met, taking in the feeling that only one word describes what they always feel with each other.

Home.

We’ll climb aboard, into our cabin, the click-click-clacketing hum of the spokes stuttering against the tracks. I’m surprised with how smooth it sounds, even when it chugs dutifully up the hill; the passing scenery whizzing by. You’re feeling so calm, I can tell, the delighted chime of your chuckle faced out the window but matching my own. Are we being crazy? I’ll ask, and you’ll just shake your head, the way you do, because you’ll always indulge me, and I’ll always ask you to come along, like the partners in crime we were meant to be.

We can stop anywhere, find somewhere new to get lost in whenever you like. We’ll take photos, so many of them, and we’ll keep them for ourselves; frame them in places only we can see. We’ll sit side by side, sharing earbuds, charging our souls with promises of new discoveries.

this is just my go to blac/ksun song aside from well... the actual bla/cksun song. like morning follows night echos the same lyrics -- that no matter where blake is, sun is by her side every step of the way; that he won’t leave her to fight her enemies or even her demons alone. she’s become someone so important to him -- his new home, so even if they’re apart, he’d do anything to find his way back.

this is also kinda a blac/ksun song for me since they had their moment at the beacon dance. it’s a callback to the event and dancing in general returns sun to a happier, more blissful place. after all that’s happened, sun can’t help but feel at ease to be able to dance so freely without having to worry about their safety.
