I DONT EVER REALLY TALK ABOUT PIT BABE IN ANY SERIOUS CAPACITY HERE BUT LIKE i know i've seen people wondering why Pete looks at Way the way he does (myself included) and there's this longing in his eyes, and he brought Way home and all this

but we now know Pete is an Enigma and an orphan of Tony's and like-- Did Pete learn about Way during his stay or after his escape? Did he decide he'd get Way out of there no matter what because he didn't want Way to be used by Tony the way he would have been if he hadn't escaped? The way he nearly was? Have all of Pete's rescues and investigations been trying to find a way to get Way out of there and save him as well as save the children?

Like, he really, seriously doesn't mean to, but Pete's taking so long to prepare him that it's basically torture at this point and Way's getting impatient and he just happens to be touching Pete when he groans "come on, just fuck me already". And Pete kinda freezes for a moment, but then he moves to obey, and it takes Way a few seconds to realize what the hell just happened, and then he's like "wait, no, snap out of it, I didn't mean that!"

Pete isn't mad or anything. He's mostly mildly amused by Way losing his mind so thoroughly that he can't even control his own powers.

Does he still end up tying Way's hands to the headboard and discovering a new kink of theirs? Well, maybe...
