when someone sends you a picture of their dog and youre not an arsehole but youre also not a dog person, so you have to look at this hairy thing you have no feelings about and go "aww hes sweet" but they take that as an encouragement to send you SO MANY MORE pictures of their dog and youre thinking. i should have said im not a dog person. but that always comes across as rude no matter how you say it. so you just commit to pretending youre thrilled about the steady stream of pics of this hairy dumpling thing. i always pretend im happy to see dogs on the street too and idk why i do it. i want dog owners to be happy and appreciate their animal but i dont really want to be shown 200 pictures of some hairy guy. how do you balance this. why do i keep talking myself into this situation
