Tumblr media
WHAT A GUYYYYY i know 4 some people, the area of the night forest in general and its themes makes them uncomfortable but PERSONALLY 4 me at least, it was rlly interesting! i can say the same thing abt solomon tbh. he rlly is just a guy and if im comparing him to all of the other lemurian heroes, he places like. a solid 3rd for me i think. he doesn't do anything rlly mean to us nor does he rlly "undervalue" the wizard and their help... hes just a little goofy sometimes (more thoughts in the tags :3)

you knocked on miles' door, his mom inviting you in. when she heard you were coming to hang out with miles she decided to make a nice dinner. "hola cariño" she said, bringing you in for a hug "hi mama rio!" you exclaimed returning the embrace.
rio really loved you - you were kind, smart, respectful, and more importantly you brought a sense of joy to miles' life that he hadn't had since his father's passing.
"miles, tu novia esta aqui!" she called out, moving to the side so you could come in. "oh ya voy, un segundo!" he called back out. he walked out of his room, face lighting up when he saw you "hola princesa" he kissed you.
he pulled out a chair at the dining table for you before rio came over with plates for the two of you. it was brown rice with curry chicken and some veggies on the side. you loved when rio cooked for you, it was banger after banger every time.
she was about to sit down with you guys when her phone rang. she answered it with a tired expression "yes, i'll be in soon, dame unos minutos" she sighed. "aye! lo siento cariño. i've gotta go the hospital just called me in." she frowned, gathering her things. "mami, just eat before you go." miles said. "it's okay honey i'll eat when i come back" and with that she made her leave.
he looked back at you with a frown on his face "i just feel so bad you know? ever since dad died she's just been taking up shift after shift. she keeps saying it's to take care of us and it makes me feel so guilty" he told you, solemn expression on his face. "miles, baby i'm sorry. but it's okay don't feel guilty, times are tough is all" you frowned holding his head to your chest. you stayed like that for a moment before you finished your food.
you were on the couch watching gossip girl, miles wrapped in your arm, body sprawled out over you. "you know i love you right baby" he said looking up at you, poking your lips. "yes baby you tell me everyday. i love you too" you smiled kissing him. "love your pretty lips and your cute smile" he whispered holding your hand.
just then a cough made you both dart your heads in the direction. it was his uncle aaron standing there with a teasing smirk on his face "whipped" he said making miles roll his eyes. "since when you such a big softie lil man" he chuckled. "yeah yeah what's up?" miles asked going to dap him up. "we gotta go" aaron answered. he furrowed his eyebrows "right now? you said we was off tonight" he said in a low voice. "sum'n came up sorry man" aaron said heading to the door. "y/n i could drop you home" he turned around to look at you.
you nod your head and miles rolled his eyes "miles it's okay. if you're busy i can go" you told him holding his hand. "m'sorry mi amor" he said rubbing your knuckles.
aaron drove you home before him and miles quickly drove off. you walked to your room not before saying hi to your mom and nas. "i'm sleepy so i'm just gonna go to bed early okay?" you told your mom. she nod her head and you eased your bedroom door shut.
you grabbed your spider suit from the box in your closet quickly getting dressed. you pulled the mask down and swung out of your window.
you did some patrolling for two hours listening to any police radio announcements. there was a guy who was attacking people on the bus so you knocked him out and took him to the police station. there was a man on the subway platform screaming at people and harassing women so you escorted him off.
the police radio signaled that there was a security breach at the city hall, so you quickly shot your webs, slinging past buildings as fast as you could.
when you got there there were two men running to a motorcycle to get away, not before you shot a web at said motorcycle and threw it out of their reach. "hey boys, whatcha doing with that briefcase there. i don't think that belongs to you" you teased walking over to them. "you dumb bitch, get out of here. you don't know what you're doing!" one of them shouted. "oh i think i do" you retorted throwing a web at the briefcase, slinging it over to the police. "thank you spider-girl!" they called out.
the other criminal pointed a gun at you and began firing. you shot a web at the building next to you and swung up out of the way. he kept firing at you following your every move until he finally landed a shot in your thigh. "fuck!" you screamed out, falling to the ground. he then quickly ran and grabbed the briefcase before they made a swift get away. an officer ran over to you "spider girl are you okay?!" he called out holding you up. "i-i'm fine" you said holding your thigh. your spider sense picked up on a figure watching from atop a building. prowler.
he watched the scene before making his exit, quickly running and jumping over the rooftops. you quickly and as quietly as you could, followed behind him leaving a good distance between you two. you stayed on a rooftop and watched as he met near an alleyway with the two guys who broke into city hall and kingpin.
kingpin was a billionaire and was obviously a bad guy, many different allegations and accusations coming out regarding him murdering people and being involved with multiple crimes. obviously though, he made himself look like a standup guy and always charmed his way out of any situation that was bad for his reputation. he was supposed to go to court a month ago but when the witness didn't show up it was called off. it was rumored that he either killed or had someone kill her off.
they talked for a bit before getting into a car and driving off. you debated a bit on whether or not to continue following them. on one hand, you had a bullet wound in your thigh but on the other hand, they were villains that you've been in pursuit of for a while now.
you ultimately decided on following behind the car on the rooftops. they drove into the parking garage of some random building where not much people were near. you quickly swung down and into an open window, using your spider senses to help you find them.
you heard kingpin's grainy voice coming from down a hallway and you followed it, staying hidden behind the wall. "good work getting these files boys." he spoke to the guys you'd just fought. "of course big man, now when are we getting our share" one of them said. kingpin just chuckled before grabbing a pistol and shooting them both dead.
"that damn bug almost ruined everything." he growled. "as always." you heard the prowler's distorted voice speak. "she won't be getting in our way anymore. prowler, you're in charge of keeping her out of the way. kill her if you have to" he spat, examining the files.
you eased over a little bit, trying to get a good look at what they were looking at. when you shifted your body over, the pain from your wound shot through your body like electricity making you let out a groan. both of their heads shot in your direction and you quickly turned down the hallway to make an exit. "you know what to do" you heard kingpin say.
soon enough you heard loud rapid footsteps heading in your direction. you picked up the pace and swung back through the window you came in from, shooting a web at the roof of a nearby building. you ran across it as fast as you could shooting another web, but before you could swing away the clawed glove grabbed you back and slammed you on the ground right on the thigh you were shot in.
you let out a yelp before shooting a web at his mask, quickly getting back on your feet. you opted for running away because you weren't really in any shape to fight back. he threw a punch at you knocking you off your balance. he noticed the blood that was soaking your suit and tightly squeezed around your bullet wound and pressed a thumb against it. you screamed out and groaned "fuck you!" shooting webs at his face with force making him trip back.
you quickly swung from building to building before lowering to the ground, turning the corner and running the opposite direction. you looked back to see he was still going the direction you led him and you sped up. you swung all the way to may's house, surely you weren't gonna go to the hospital like this and you definitely couldn't go home.
you pound on her door, tears streaming down your face. your leg was aching and with how long you've had your open wound you were sure it was only gonna get worse. she opened the door, pulling you into an embrace "what's going on honey?" she said looking at you.
"t-there was a security breach at city hall. a-and i got shot by one of the guys and kingpin was with the prowler and then he chased me and and-" you frantically explained. "alright keep your head straight kiddo. come on i've got some first aid" she said bringing you to her bathroom. you changed out of your suit, left in a tank top and shorts.
she got to work on your leg, wiping away all the blood pouring from it. she wrapped a cloth around your leg to stop the bleeding and began poking around to find any stray bullet fragments that was still in your leg. she cleaned with the wound like a professional and wrapped some gauze around it. "don't worry, it'll heal a bit faster than normal. thanks to your spider powers and all" she told you putting away the supplies.
"how'd you know how to do that" you asked coming off the counter struggling to stand on your legs. "sweetie i dealt with peter for years, i had to know how to do it" she chuckled.
"i'll clean up your suit but here take these it's chilly out" she handed you a pair of what she told you were peter's old sweatpants. "it's getting late, think you should start heading home" she said opening the door for you. "thank you so much may. have a good night" you still had your mask so you put it on and swung home.
you swung up to your window, tucking the mask in your pocket before entering. you gasped seeing someone lay in your bed "miles! you have to stop scaring me like that" you laughed. "hola princesa where you been?" he said getting up over to you, wrapping you into a hug. "and whose sweatpants are these? they mad big on you" he asked raising an eyebrow.
"o-oh i went on a walk, my mom was being annoying." you lied. "at night?" he asked worried expression on his face. "yeah yeah don't worry, i had my taser on me. and at least it's safer out now with spider girl" you said grabbing a water bottle. he stayed silent and looked at you, eyebrows slightly furrowed. "yeah guess you're right" he sighed dropping back down on the bed. when he looked away from you you quickly shoved the mask in the box stepping out of your sweatpants.
"what's that on your leg?" he asked pointing at the gauze. "i-i was trying to cut up some pineapple but the knife slipped out my hand and cut me real good."you replied coming up with a story last minute. you laid next to him in the bed, wrapping up under his arm. he looked at you with a sly smirk on his face "wanna come over tomorrow? mom's not gonna be home all night" he said kissing you. "what are you implying miles?" you giggled. "i think you know mama" he kissed you. "mhm" you said holding him tight.
you knocked on miles' door the next day, him opening it and immediately latching his lips on yours. "hello to you too" you giggled. "missed you" he kissed your cheek, leading you to his room "you saw me last night" you dropped your bag. "too long" he sighed taking your lips on his again.
you wrapped your arms around his neck, his tongue entering your mouth. he moved down to kiss down your jaw to your neck, sucking and leaving a mark. he reached for the hem of your shirt, tugging it over your head.
he moved to his bed and pulled you in his lap, finding your lips again. you rummaged your hands through his braids and rocked your hips against his lap, smirking when you felt him harden underneath you. "are you sure you wanna do this?" he asked breaking away from the kiss. "yes" you breathed out
you laid wrapped under his sheets head resting on his chest as he played with your hair, staring at you. "i love you so much hermosa" he smiled pressing a kiss to your forehead. "i love you too bonito" you smiled. “forever” he breathed out.
"i wanna take a shower" you told him, getting up from his sheets. "i'll join you" he smirked. he went in the bathroom to brush his teeth. "miles baby where's your towels at?" you called out to him. "the closet, tird shelf!" he called back, muffled by toothpaste.
you went over to grab one when something on the top shelf caught your eye, a silver claw poked out from underneath a piece of cloth. you weren't one to snoop but your spider senses were going crazy. you lifted it and your heart dropped, it was the same clawed glove that had thrown you on the ground and punched you yesterday - blood still staining it. your eyes stung with tears as you held it in your hand. the same boy who professed his love to you everyday, who wrapped up in your arms every night, the boy you just slept with was out killing people - you included.
"you can't find one?" his voice spoke up, coming back to the room. you turned around still holding the glove "miles. what is this?" you asked hoping it was a misunderstanding, maybe he was just a fan? "b-baby it's not what it looks like" he answered and you knew what that meant.
"miles, you're murdering people?! you work with fucking kingpin?!" you shouted. "y/n you don't understand, i have to do it! for my mom, for me, for you!" he retorted. "that doesn't fucking justify it miles, i never asked you to commit those crimes for me!" you yelled, tears streaming down your face.
"aye mami, don't cry, you're overreacting!" "overreacting?! miles you tried to fucking kill me yesterday" you growled throwing the glove at him. his eyebrows furrowed "what are you talking about?" he asked catching it. you looked around trying your best to blink back tears "miles, i am spider-girl. i'm the one you were throwing around yesterday. the one your fucking guys shot!" you screamed at him, pointing to the wound you’d lied about earlier.
his eyes almost popped out of their sockets. “no no no no, baby no. i’m so sorry. i didn’t know it was you” he walked up to you, holding your face. you looked at him, tears blurring your eyes “no miles no i-i have to go” you said grabbing your clothes and throwing them on. “princesa, wait! let’s just talk about this” he pleaded. you just ignored him and went out his window swinging your way home.
you opened your window, running to your bed flopping down to your pillow. you cried into it, thinking things over. it all made sense - the random leaving, the late arrivals, this is what “work” was.

you went outside to look for some flowers for your art project, you roamed the familiar streets until you found the forest you and your friends normally hung out in.
The leaves crunched as you walked upon them, not minding your surroundings, you were to focused on finding the perfect flower.
As you walked, calm silence filled the air, the only sound was the crunch of the leaves and the occasional bird chirping. When all of a sudden you felt an arm snake around your waist and before you could respond to the situation, the person pinned up against a tree.
"Ellie?" you looked at the auburn haired girl in front of you "I gotcha good!" Ellie exclaimed,, "very funny, very funny but I need to get some materials for my art project" you say as you look at her, something felt different.
"wait no-" Ellie cuts you off "stay here"
,, "what?"you said quietly. Ellie leaned in closer as one of her arms were still snaked around your waist, the other had you pushed up against the tree. This wasn't normal, not for a girl.
She leaned in closer and mumbled "Let me be your sin" she said it quietly but loud enough for you to hear. "Ellie- what-" before you could fully answer Ellie cut you off by her lips connecting with yours. You blushed like crazy, this isn't normal but god it feels right.
She pulled away looking at you, you looked back at her "so?" She mumbled "Ellie.." you sighed "this isn't right" "but it can be"
Her words caught you off guard "Ellie I mean, if we get caught-" "we wont" she said sternly "I promise"
You sighed as you looked around "my mom said I need to be home in an hour" Ellie looked into your eyes, she was quite surprised you were alright with this "I can make it quick"
with that she started to bite down on your neck, you started to breathe heavier with anticipation. You never thought you would do this, let alone with a girl but it felt so right.
She continued to leave trails all down your neck as she moved to your breast, you blushed as she spoke "can I, I don't wanna make u uncomfortable or" "ellie please" you mumbled as you put your hands in her hair "yes mam" she said sarcastically which made you giggle.
Before she could even start, you realised that kids hung around in these parts often. "Your so pretty" Ellie mumbled as her hand was holding onto the waistband of your bra, you knew you had to stop although you knew deep down you wanted this so bad. "Ellie.." you said quietly "mm?" ,, "I need to go"
And with that all the anticipation and neediness left the air, only confusion.
"Whats up?" Ellie asked quietly as she slowly let go of you completely. "I just remembered that my mom actually wants me home now" you lied "oh.. alright, well I'll see you around?" Ellie sighed, clearly dissapointed in the whole situation "yeah, bye ellie" you then walked off as she stood there.
You didn't want to leave her there, you wanted to finish what you both started, but you couldn't. You knew this was wrong and that if anyone caught you guys or found out, you would be in serious trouble.
You made it back home and unlocked your front door, you took your shoes off and walked into the living room to see your mom reading the bible, as per usual.
"Hey sweetie" she said quietly as she looked up from her book "you took awhile, did you find a flower" you completely forgot. "couldn't find one, I guess I'll just have to create one in my mind" ,, "I guess so, well get ready for church alright? Change your oufit too, maybe something more dressy?" she asked.
You rolled your eyes and mumbled "fine" as you walked out of the room, your mom was very Christian and if you weren't following any of the rules your mom would be furious. As for you, you only believed to make your mom happy.
When you made it to your room and started to take of your t-shirt and shorts by replacing it with a long dress. You hated the way your mom made you dress.
Once finished you then started to listen to music on your walkman, your mom wasn't the biggest fan of the music you listened to but you didn't care. You had posters all over your wall, depeche mode, nirvana, or just movies you watched. What you never realised is the amount of girls you had all over your wall. You didn't know who half of them were but you found them pretty and stuck them on your wall, normal behaviour for a girl hm?
You started to think about what you and Ellie had done, it felt so right and normal, she was extremely pretty too, but you wouldn't let yourself take this further it was against the laws but god you wanted too.
As you thought about the situation further your heard your doorbell ring it caught you by suprise."ill get it!" You exclaimed as you took your headphones off and ran down stairs.
You opened the front door to a familiar face "Ellie?" You questioned "can I come in?" you stayed silent unsure of what to say "please" she sighed, you could tell by her tone she was quite desperate and if you stayed at the door to long your mom would question it "fine but make it quick" you say short toned.
Ellie made it to your bedroom and sat down your bed making herself at home, she came around to your house often and it wasn't normally akward but this time was different.
You walked over and sat next her unsure of what to say until she spoke "listen, I'm sorry about what I done I really didn't mean-" Ellie spoke but you cut her off "no Ellie it's fine, honestly?" You said tone quite annoyed "no but seriously I'm sorry okay? I got ahead of myself" you couldn't help but blush at ellies words, you let out a short chuckle "you got ahead of yourself? So you've been thinking about this" you tease, you were still annoyed at the situation itself but couldn't help but tease Ellie about it, she's your bestfriend after all.
"What- no I didnt mean it like that, fuck" Ellie mumbled which made you laugh "so your into women huh?" You said bluntly which caught Ellie of guard "uhm- I mean, I'm not aloud too" Ellie sighed. You wanted to comfort her tell her it was aloud and that she would find love but you knew deep down society didn't accept people who loved like that.
"I'm sorry" you sighed. Your window was open and the chill breeze made ellies hair move slightly, she looked pretty even when she was upset, but you didn't like her, you weren't aloud too.
"No it's okay alright? I made a stupid mistake and i don't want this to impact our friendship" Ellie spoke as she fidgeted with the rings on her fingers, you sighed and told her "it won't" you wanted to say more but you just couldn't find the right words.
As silence filled the air you spoke up "I have to go to church soon, you can come if you want too I'm sure my mom won't mind" you looked at Ellie and she looked at you and that's when you realised that this feeling wasn't friendship, it was different, but you knew that they wouldn't go away unless you put up with them.
Ellie nodded and then spoke "yeah sure but uhm by the way.. you have a hickey on your neck" she giggled as she maintained eye contact with you. You immediately blushed as you looked up at her "what?!" you exclaimed "Ellie if my mom sees this she's gonna kill me!!" "Relax, relax, come here" you moved closer to Ellie as she looked around "got any concealer?" you nodded and pointed towards your desk.
Ellie got up and walked over to your desk picking up the nearly empty concealer bottle "you know, you dont need makeup" she said casually "well I do, to cover up mistakes like this" that caught Ellie of guard, I mean yeah the hickey was a mistake but did you really have to say it?
Ellie sat back down as she sat close to you and then applied the concealer on the hickey "you know, there's quite a phew" she giggled which made u blush even more "Ellie!! Seriously? Why are you only telling me now!!" You said playfully in which she replied "might aswell show them off" she was playing with fire here, ellie was making it extremely clear she didn't regret the situation at all.
"Your such a dork williams" you teased as she closed the bottle of concealer "and you love it" she finished and got up "well, let's forget about the situation mm?" She asked in which you nodded, the cool breeze filled your bedroom and your curtains swayed, you got up and looked at Ellie "well cmon, we gotta go to church"
You both walked out of your room and in that moment you both knew you had sinned, you felt like you should be ashamed but you weren't. it was for the right reasons, sometimes you can't hold back atleast not when a pretty girl is practically begging for your attention.

fem!Miya!reader x Suna Rintarou || mostly platonic || part of the Third Miya series
Synopsis: A glimpse into your friendship with Suna during your 1st year at Inarizaki High school.
Warnings: barely proofread, general stupidity, there's a serial killer joke, reader is a lil shit
wc: 1.6k
a/n: naming chapters is hard 😭 as always feedback is greatly appreciated and if you wanna be tagged in future chapters let me know!
Tumblr media
Friendship with Suna is one of those where you can't quite remember how or when it started. One week he was just that lanky guy sitting at a desk to the right of you, the next week you walked home together and you told him your brothers' embarrassing childhood stories in exchange for chemistry homework. In a way it's an echo of all your childhood friendships forged on the beach with other kids you only knew for a week but during that week you'd take over the world for them if they asked. But the one week friendship with Suna became two weeks, three weeks, and after the fourth you stopped counting.
Tumblr media
Suna Rintarou is a funny guy. Not funny as in telling jokes or spouting quips and smirks. He's funny in a way that even now you can't really tell who he is. He's quiet. But not shy in the slightest. He moved over from Aichi and you cringe at the memory of saying: “Oh so that's why ya talk funny. I thought yer just pretentious,“ when he told you. Your ears catch on fire by just thinking about it. So embarrassing. But he must have pretty low standards for his friends because at the time he didn't really seem bothered by your slip of the tongue. The next day he offered you a chuupet and that was enough to buy your undying loyalty.
Suna's a funny guy. You don't know how he became your friend, you don't know what he sees in you that makes him put up with you. But you're glad to have an inside man on the volleyball team.
Tumblr media
Years of living together with the same person makes one develop the ability of sniffing out trouble before they even start to happen. In this case it's four empty pudding packages in the trash bin that make you decide to nope right out of there before Tsumu tries to blame you for their mysterious disappearance. Again.
You put on music and walk aimlessly through the streets, one of those walks where it doesn't matter if you get lost because you have no clue where you're headed anyway. Everyone needs a stroll like that from time to time. Often they lead to situations that would otherwise probably never happen. Like running into a serial killer, but luck is on your side today so the only person you run into is a familiar lanky figure stretching by the side of the road. “Sunarin! Didn't expect to meet ya here!“
He looks up and his blushed sweaty face wears the same expression as ever. In the last months you've learned Suna has two expressions, the deadpan one, and the deadpan one with furrowed brows. “O, Miya. Well, I live nearby.“ Oh right, you did pass the bus station where he exits just a song ago. “Taking a stroll, are you?“
“Samu and Tsumu are having a screamin' match right now so I decided to get myself out of there before they'd drag me into it.“
“Tragic. Where are you headed?“
Your destination is 'who cares' so you join Suna on a walk. It's good he already ran his evening route because you're not in the mood to reenact a wanna be healthy person's only free time activity.
Just a short walk between the apartment buildings by the side of the road you reach a path of cobble stones that leads further between trees.
“What? You didn't know there's a park here?“ Suna smirks and you're surprised his face muscles are even capable of stretching so far.
You shake your head, slightly embarrassed. “No, I really didn't. To be fair this neighbourhood used to be ruled by another clan so we never played around here,“ you quickly add as if children clan wars from years ago are a better excuse than simply being unfamiliar with this part of the town.
Suna doesn't comment but the corners of his mouth keep tugging up even after you walk through the park. Or maybe that's because you tripped over nothing while watching a cat cross your path.
“We have a cat back home,“ he tells you and shows you the picture of his little sister with a big fluffy orange cat on her lap.
“So cute,“ you coo, “looks just like ya.“
“Oh yeah, lots of people say she looks just like me. I think I'm more handsome though.“
“No, I meant the cat.“
This time you're the one prepared to jump away form a well aimed kick but Suna only gives you a disappointed glare. “I thought you were the nice Miya.“
You sympathetically pat his shoulder. “Sorry. My sincere condolences. Shall I send some flowers for the funeral of yer last brain cell? Samu always wanted a cat but dad wouldn't let him.“
“Really? Why not?“
“Oh he made the mistake of asking just after the mango incident.“
“The-“
“Only Miyas are allowed to know about it,“ you say, snickering at Suna's furrowed brows. You know curiosity is going to eat at him for weeks to come. Maybe you should come up with a cover story, just in case. “Do ya miss yer friends? Ones from Aichi I mean?“
Suna thinks for a moment, maybe still trying to figure out what a mango incident could possibly be. “Sometimes,“ he says after a while and a poke to his side, “but I met a lot of new people at the dorms. Inarizaki isn't that bad either. There's you and Ginjima, and your brothers sometimes, and ehm,“ he mumbles as he tries to remember whom else he could call a friend.
“If Tsumu or Samu bring this topic up just let them know ya were my friend first,“ you pout. That's the problem with having had siblings in the same class for the entire grade and middle school; all your friends were also their friends. “It can't be easy,“ you say, half trying to make him feel better, and half just changing the topic that's starting to turn his ears red, “movin' over here I mean. Ya really left all ya knew behind for volleyball. That's pretty admirable. Ya just might be as crazy as Samu and Tsumu.“
“Please don't compare me to your brothers,“ says Suna.
“That bad, eh? So what's it like? Livin' in a dorm?“
“Oh. Well. We're four in a room-“
“Yikes. And I thought havin' two other people in your room is a lot.“
Suna laughs. Oh, so he can do that. It suits him, you decide after a moment. “Now take into account that two of those keep leaving dirty socks around.“
“Oh I know what that's like,“ you nod, all too familiar with dirty socks under table, under bed and other parts of bed you'd rather not think about.
“I doubt you'd get in trouble for punching them though.“
“Oh I would.“ You look him over. “Ya don't really look like a punchin' type to me. More a very petty guy. Soy sauce in mornin' tea kind of guy.“
“You're giving me ideas.“
“Thanks, that will be one kit-kat. Or none if ya put some in Samu's water bottle.“
“All in all dorm isn't that bad,“ Suna tells you once you both stop laughing over the prospect of putting soy sauce into Osamu's drink. “Wish I could sleep a bit longer in the morning but what can you do? And I miss mom's cooking. We cook ourselves and the food is good. Usually. It's just not the same, you know? Want a chuupet?“
“Ya brought a chuupet to an evenin' run?“
You still gladly take the fruit stick. It's a rare occasion in which it isn't in danger of being snatched away by one of your co-spawns. You don't comment but the next day a neatly wrapped bento box waits on Suna's table.

Suna doesn't quite remember when you became friends. One day you were a girl from his class that looked suspiciously similar to those loud Twins on the volleyball team (the moment he realised your last name is in fact Miya too he felt incredibly stupid for not noticing sooner), the next day you're hanging with him during breaks and sending him messages along the lines of 'I'll buy you as many chuupets as ya want if ya tell me what happened at practice yesterday, I need to let Tsumu know who's the boss' that usually arrive in the middle of the night. Even if they wake him up your name popping on his screen still makes him smile.
Really it takes impossibly long for Suna to realise he doesn't enjoy being in your presence only because being friends with you is as easy as getting the ball around a block or because you're the one Miya to voluntarily share your food with him.
The moment the cogs finally fell in their place and began to spin, making the little 'there might be something more' thought appear is one he'll remember for the rest of his life, and will quite probably haunt his nightmares too.
That's the thing about emotions (truly the revelations of that day are almost too much for his volleyball focused teenage brain), they take over neurones in charge of sending information around the brain, bribing the ones running toward mouth to run faster than the ones heading towards the comprehension centre, and then you find yourself in awkward situations such as saying your name out loud in the packed locker room followed by: “She's really funny and amazing. I like her a lot.“
But the situation being awkward is the least of Suna's problems as two pairs of almost identical brown eyes stare him down.
Oh, shit.

in my dreams (chapter one)
wc: 2158
notes:  hey guys! this is a story i’ve been working on for IT. it features multiple pairings and also an original character! hope you enjoy! it’s very gay whoops
warnings: cursing, mentions of comas/unknown illnesses
The soles of Mike’s combat boots pounded against the cement of the driveway as he sprinted to the shed, pulling out his rusted silver bike from under a mound of gardening equipment.
“Mike, hurry the fuck up!” He heard Eddie yell from the road.
He finally got his bike untangled, hopping on and pedaling down the driveway. Eddie had already started moving when he saw Mike had hopped on his bike, and was already crossing the intersection at the end of the road.
The two boys sped through the quiet streets of Derry, racing towards their designated meeting place in the forest, an old abandoned shed that no one ever visited except their group.
The two boys skid to a stop in front of the small brick house, their bikes joining the group already resting on the ground as they sprint across the grass and into the backyard. The shed door is already opened and the two boys quickly enter, slamming it shut behind them.
“F-finally.” Bill sighs as the two boys take their seats.
“Took you long enough.” Stan mumbles, moving over so Mike could squeeze onto the seat next to him.
“Guys! Can we stay focused, please?” Bev snaps, her forehead creased in stress. The boys nod solemnly, directing their attention to Bill.
Bill takes a deep breath, preparing to deliver the news to the six teenagers in front of him, similar looks of stress and fear on each of their faces.
“Lili’s in the h-h-hospital.”
“Is something wrong? Is she okay?” Bev asks almost immediately after the words leave his mouth, practically jumping out of her seat in her need for information.
Bill stares at the stressed girl, whose eyes were swimming with tears, the small drops of sadness balancing on her thin eyelashes, preparing to pepper her cheeks.
Usually Lili would be the one to calm everyone down when something particularly stressful was occuring, placing a warm hand in theirs and offering a soft smile that could melt your heart.
But, Lili wasn’t here right now.
Bill wonders if he should sugarcoat his response, offering a little bit of solace in the rough times to come. He decided against it. No point in offering false hope.
“They duh-don’t know.”
“What do you mean they don’t know?” Bev demands, her tone rising, “What’s wrong? Why is she in the hospital?”
“Bev, please.” Eddie begs, voice small as he shrinks in fear, the stress in the room getting to him. But Bev is too riled up to care, her green eyes wide as she stares at Bill.
“They’re n-not sure what’s wuh-wrong with h-h-her,” Bev’s about to pipe up again but Bill sticks out a hand, gently silencing her, “They t-told me the duh-doctors have never s-seen ah-anything like it before. It’s like she’s in a-a coma, but every cuh-couple hours, she’ll b-b-burst out into f-fits of screams.”
It takes a bit for Bill to force the words out of his uncooperating mouth, trying to bridge the disconnect between his voice and brain. His stutter gets ten times worse when he’s stressed.
Bev gasps, letting out a strangled moan as the tears begin spill out of her eyes at the thought of her Lili in such a state. Eddie shrinks further into his seat, until he’s managed to squeeze his body into the corner of the couch, resembling a turtle receding into its shell. Stan sits stock still, and Bill can see the gears in his brain whirring as he processes this information.
“But, she’ll be fine, right?” Richie asks tentatively, pushing his coke bottle glasses up the bridge of his nose, a nervous habit of his.
Bill pauses before answering quietly, “They d-don’t k-k-know.” Bev begins crying harder, but still silently, her tears staining Richie’s Fredo’s t-shirt. Eddie looks like he’s going to be sick.
“Can we go see her?” Mike asks. His hands grip the end of the couch, scrunching the ripped fabric between his fingers.
“Not us.” Stan answers solemnly, brown eyes staring straight ahead, “She didn’t tell her parents about us, remember?”
Mike does remember. How Lili had come to them that night, eyes sparkling with tears as she told them her parents had forbid her from seeing them, too scared of protecting their own reputations to allow their daughter happiness.
The members of the Losers Club (as their classmates had dubbed the group of friends) had many ‘negative’ things surrounding their group that Lili’s parents did not prefer to have their daughter being associated with. There was Bev’s alleged promiscuity, Richie’s foul mouth, Stan’s religion, Eddie’s sexuality and Mike’s race .
“But, you can, Bill.” Bev murmurs, her voice still thick as she wiped away tears.
Lili’s parents did not dislike the entire Losers Club. They liked Bill. He was nice, respectful, friendly. A good influence on their already perfect daughter.
Bill nods slowly, not denying their statement. I mean, that was the reason he had been the one to call Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs and not any of the other Losers.
“You need to go see her.” Bev insists, “Please, Bill.”
Bill stood there awkwardly, the worn sneakers on his feet shuffling against the dusty floors of the shack. He had never liked hospitals, and now he had even less of a reason to like them now that one of his closest friends could be on her deathbed in one.
But, he nodded, “I’ll see what I can do.” Because Bill wanted to make everyone happy. He wanted to fix this.
“Hello?”
“H-hi, Mrs. Jacobs. It’s Bi - William Denbrough.”
“Oh, yes, Michael. Hello.” Delilah Jacobs’ voice was weak as she spoke with her daughter’s friend, thick and sore, like she had been crying all day. Bill guessed she had been.
Bill felt bad for calling. He didn’t want to bother the grieving parents, but the group had asked him to and he didn’t want to upset them...
“I’m sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if I would be able to visit Lilith in the hospital?”
“Oh, yes, please come!” Mrs. Jacobs’ exclaimed, though her voice was lacking the same sort of life and energy as it usually did, “Does tomorrow work? After school?”
“Um, yes, it does. Thank you, Mrs. Jacobs.”
Bill hung up the phone after Delilah responded with a wet thank you, and Bill could tell she was about to start crying again.
He sighed, running his hands through his copper colored hair. Everything had been fine just a few days ago. Yet it had all been ripped away from him, leaving a frayed mess for him to deal with.
“The blue lights look stupid, Richie! They’re not festive.”
“You wanna know what’s not festive, Stan? The stick up your ass!”
“Richie!” Bill had interrupted, placing a hand on the tall boy’s shoulder, “I t-think Bev needs some help with the decorations outside, could you go help h-h-her?” Richie bites his lip before nodding, glancing back at Stan before walking out of the front of the house.
Stanley continued hanging his red and green lights up in peace, humming softly as he tacked the string to the wall with a pin. Bill wandered into the small kitchen area, where Lili was sitting on the counter, singing along to the radio. as Mike placed a tray of cookies into the oven, smiling as he listened.
“Hey, Bill!” Lili had greeted him, smiling wide as the boy entered the room. Bill returned the greeting, patting Mike on the shoulder as he leaned against the counter next to Lili.
Soft music played in the background, playing some version of ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ Lili seemed to know. “I feel bad for not helping.” Lili confessed to him, toying with the lace of her boot.
“Y-you need to r-rest, Lil.” Bill had replied, “Y-you were sick as a duh-dog just a couple days ago. You shouldn’t have e-even come out w-wuh-with this horrible weather.”
“And miss Christmas decorating? No, thank you.” She replied easily.
Shaking the memory away, Bill started getting ready for bed, taking a quick shower and changing into his pajamas. He climbed under his plaid duvet, closed his eyes, and laid still, hoping sleep would take him. It didn’t.
Little did he know, a girl just a couple blocks down the road was in the same position, her ginger locks tousled as she tossed and turned. Beverly Marsh could not focus on anything except Lili and the mental image of her tiny frame shaking as doctors pinned her down to a cot.
Bev forced her eyes shut, willing the thought out of her head, just to have it be replaced with more, equally as bad ones. It was a never ending cycle.
Abandoning sleep, she stood up, pulling on a hoodie, some pants and shoes. She climbed out her window and slid down the roof, her converse hitting the ground with a thud. She pulled her sweatshirt tighter around her as she hopped on her bike, taking off down the street.
Left, right, down the straight-away and she was there, the tall, white house looming in front of her, looking as empty and desolate as it had just a few hours before.
Bev threw her bike on the grass, the same place it had been this afternoon but without the five other bikes surrounding it. She walked across the front lawn, the dry grass crunching under the soles of her shoes.
She shimmied up the gutter, pulling herself onto the roof and carefully creaked open the window. It looked the same as it had when she visited the night before, except one thing was missing.
Lili.
Bev clambered into the bedroom, the familiar soft gray walls surrounding her. She loved it here, the room filled with good memories and a peaceful vibe.
The only light in the room was the red, yellow and blue christmas lights Lili had tacked up to the wall the day after Halloween. Bev remembered it well as she dragged her yellow painted fingernails across the thick wire.
“Christmas isn’t for another two months!” Bev exclaimed, watching the girl stand on the tips of her toes to pin the festive lights above the window.
“Right around the corner!” Lili sung back, and Bev could hear the smile in her voice, “Don’t be such a grinch, Bev.”
“I’m not a grinch.”
Lili had laughed, dropping the rest of the lights on the floor as she approached the girl sitting on her bed, standing between her knees and pressing a light kiss to her nose.
“Then help me put up these lights, you’re much taller than me.” Bev had grumbled, but complied after her girlfriend offered her a dazzling smile that made Bev’s heart stop.
Bev walked away from the lights as she felt tears pricking at her eyes. She wished she could visit her, hold her hand, press a kiss to the space between her eyebrows.
But, she couldn’t.
Lili’s desk was clean, a few leftover homework papers with her neat script scrawled on them left for her to pack up for school, which she had thought she would be attending the next day. A yellow marble notebook was balanced on the corner of the desk, a sticker placed square on the front of it, reading Lilith Jacobs.
She couldn’t help but smile at the last -th in her name crossed out. Lili hated her given name, thus why she went by ‘Lili’, but her parents insisted on calling her ‘Lilith’. One day at lunch, Richie had taken a red marker and drawn right through the two letters, and Lili had smiled so wide.
Bev cracked open the notebook to a random page, met with Lili’s delicate handwriting spelling out, ‘October 2nd, 1994’. Lili always carried this specific book around, tucked away in her backpack, but she refused to let anyone read it, including Bev. Anytime they brought it up, she would blush and shake her head, clamming up, so they would drop it.
Bev closed the book, knowing it would make Lili upset and not wanting to intrude on her girlfriend’s privacy.
She ran her hand over the crisp white sheets on her bed, remembering the times Lili and her would squeeze onto the twin bed, holding tight onto each other to keep from falling off. Bev had cried here on many occasions, turning to Lili for solace after particularly harsh words from her father or a bad day at school.
She wanted Lili here now, to hold her as she cried and let out all the emotions that had been boiling inside of her the whole day. But she supposes if Lili were here, she wouldn’t have a reason to cry.
Realizing that being in this room was only reminding her of the fact that Lili was most definitely not here and possibly in danger, Bev left, leaving the room exactly as it was when she arrived, quiet and abandoned.
