At @nerdstronggym (still not cleared for any weight training for at least another 2 weeks) last night, Coach @corrinpiercefitness mentioned a lost & found box, "Kevin, I think you have a couple of things in there". I go to look, and there are my two old WOD books, I guess the last ones in the building. My first when it as still Nrdfit, and then Big Blue. It'll be my 4th anniversary next week of finding this amazing place because of a chance meeting with @kimapult at @galaxyofcomics . Where has the time gone. It was the place I needed in my life at a very trying and depressed time, and still as important to me today. Its a community of like minded amazing multi-gendered geeks/nerds people who share nothing but support, love, care, concern, all with a sprinkle of sass. Packed day starting with surgery consult at @uclahealth Urology (probably in 2 weeks) then an awesome first time VO session with @kingrobgss at Green Street Studios for a character I thought was dead! Finished up with a @zombiesrun_app 5K training, Battle Stations! and Core & Mobility at @nerdstronggym with the illustrious Coach @corrinpiercefitness who made sure all our muscles were nice & juicy! Two days of some tough, great WODs at @nerdstronggym , started rehearsals for my first full length play in about 6 years, and hit a big #finishwhatyoustarted goal: after 5 years I finally finished the 8 week @zombiesrun_app 5K training app, with a non-stop 5k jog (still working with a lot of baggage so full on running is still tough). Was too exhausted to post yesterday: @nerdstronggym had the 2 hr Infinity Gaunlet in honour of @marvelstudios @avengers with teams of Captain America, Black Widow, Black Panther & Okoye. We didnt defeat Thanos, but we survived, even though I got put in the naughty list pretty quick. Still a great time.
