Y’all we do NOT give the bugs in Welcome Home enough attention.
Like look at these little guys!!!
(Note: None of these belong to me, they are Clown’s! The image is not mine either, I got it from a search engine.)

Welcome Home-style b e e

🐝
I was working on the Frank and Eddie piece today, just wanting to do some minor things as to not exhaust my brain (spent most of the morning/early afternoon watching lecture videos and taking notes -_-) and ended up designing what I think a bee would look like in Welcome Home~
This little guy is going to be on the book Frank is reading, along with some of those fancy hardcover-book-cover designs you see on old books!! (~see below the break for what I got~)
✨Inspo and general idea✨

Really happy with how the design turned out, plus I got a neat little bee out it~~

Welcome Home Ya Bugs
cw bugs and spiders ofc
Tumblr media
i like the theory that we see things in the audio clips through the eyes of these guys. that would make them bugs in THREE senses of that word! however, there are many things against this theory, drawing these has made me realize that, but it would be fun...
closeups, an extra comic and more detailed descriptions under cut

I finally finished making Julie. Kinda because of school and the fact that I didn't like the first Julie I created (We don't talk about what happened to the first Julie). But she's here. :D

As for what happened to the first Julie....

I'm sorry, Julie number 1. You just didn't make the cut.

*slides in* Bug symbolism? Tell me more

(Jewel?) Scarab?
I know I’ve seen people saying this is a love bug, but love bugs don’t look anything like this (unfortunately, I love the idea that a love bug would direct into a conversation between Eddie and Frank. However, this bug resembles a beetle, possibly a scarab, more than anything. Scarabs are especially prominent in Ancient Egyptian culture, and they symbolize rebirth and renewal. While western civilization has come to interpret scarabs as a symbol of death and destruction, Ancient Egyptians believed scarabs to hold rejuvenating power for the living and the dead. They were also associated with the sun god Ra (partially due to their behavior of moving dung balls aligning with the movement of the sun). They are associated with death, as they come out of the soil, and also because, during mummification, the heart was often replaced with a scarab-shaped amulet. Overall, scarabs represent rebirth, revival, and even resurrection.
