JALDI SE… What do you see in this picture? A very calm and composed Mama posing for her picture emanating very ‘life’s good’ kinda vibes. And it definitely is, alhamdulillah but it’s not calm and not composed in any way 😂 You know what’s my catchphrase these days? It’s ‘Jaldi se’ (hurry/ quickly) Jaldi se naha lun (Bath quickly) Jaldi se Namaz parh lun (Pray quickly) Jaldi se khana Kha lun (Eat quickly) Jaldi se tayar ho jaun (Get ready quickly) Jaldi se bas sab kuch kr lun (do everything QUICKLY) Even right now while I am writing this.. I am thinking Jaldi se ye khatam kr lun to phr kitchen mai jaun (Quickly finish this off so that I can go into kitchen) I am always running after time. It seems like Ms. Clock is somehow not pleased with me. I try! I try hard to: • do everything perfectly, • Make everyone happy, • get everything done ON TIME. And in all this constant struggle, I sometimes fail to remember that I am also a human and not a machine. A human who: • Also needs some down time (even the machines require it), • Can be wrong, • Is designed to make mistakes. I know most of us tend to forget this. This goes out to all the awesome human beings (not necessarily to the mothers only) who are trying hard to achieve their goals. While it is very essential to keep an eye on your aims, you also need to give yourself some time to unwind. Try to take a break: • And enjoy a hot cup of tea in the middle of a chaotic day, • in between house chores and eat your meal in peace, • And Stretch your limbs during those long working hours when you are trying to meet a deadline. The chores, tasks and duties can wait (for a while). Take a deep breath, relax (as I am doing in the picture) And once you are done with it 'Run after all the To-Dos'.. Haha (I ran to finish off a task right after enjoying this momentary solitude too :p) Small pauses are needful for us to recharge!
