🏡 Home: Back on Alternia, his hive had an upper story + ‘tower’.  Unfortunately, none of the upper floors were wheelchair accessible, so he didn’t go up there from the time he was injured (around 4 sweeps old) to the time they played SGRUB.  Originally, he had very low attachment to his hive as a location or a residence–he’d have been perfectly happy traveling around at will.  However, he spent so long on his quest in the Furthest Ring that now, he’s rather more attached to the place they’ve settled on their new planet than he would have otherwise been.

🌼 Happiness: He purrs when happy/contented.  He’s profoundly happy to be finished with his quest and have a place to call ‘home’, now.  He’s also happiest when he can be doing something for people he cares about.

emotions run extremely high for him, especially given his high empathy and desire for bonds to form. he loves to make friends but also hates it and how much energy it takes, usually opting for a very laid-back approach and minimal effort as to not overwhelm himself at any given moment.

when his emotions run too high, he has a very bad habit of shutting down completely, turning people away from him (and this is no exception for even those whom he loves.) his moods and thoughts can flip on a dime and he can go from being the most loyal son of a bitch you know, to hating your goddamn guts. if something rubs him the wrong way, he will easily let you know and likely leave you in the dust. he, is however, a hypocrite and if someone leaves him, he will be affected for what seems like sweeps- doubting every action and thought he’s ever had and very nearly letting it consume him. this is why he leaves others, before they leave him. the fear of rejection and eventual thought that he’ll end up alone again is his sole drive for trying to make things work and be the most amicable person he can be, even if he does come off badly 9 times out of 10.

there’s a lot of shit that i can’t exactly fit here without writing a goddamn novel, but this gives some insight at the very least, i hope!

Bubbly’s interpretation of the clown religion doesn’t really match anymore with those on most timelines’ Alternia or Beforus; not even his own.He never was really part of any clown community on his Alternia - with the cult being too rare, too low in numbers, and Gamzee living quite far off civilization - so it was mostly a thing he did by himself and only himself.

Sweeps passed, he lost his belief and found it anew ... and saw flaws in what he had learned by reading at a young age. By then he had encountered the Sufferer’s philosophies and incorporated them into his believes.

The result is a clown, that doesn’t see murder as a needed part of his religion and sees castes as even, even though he’s still an Alternian troll and is rather unfazed by murder that doesn’t influence his social circle.
