Suds slowly popping above a bucket of tomato seed in the rain. I fermented the seed and pulp in a little water for five days, then added more water and agitated to let the good seed sink and everything else float. Pour off the floaties, add more water, and repeat as many times as it takes to get clear water and sunken seeds. Strain and allow to finish air drying for a week or two in a ventilated place away from direct sunlight. Fermentation helps clean any disease and helps separate seeds from gel/pulp. #tomatoseeds #fermentingtomatoseeds #seedsaving #wetprocessing (at Delaware County, Pennsylvania)

Verve Costa Rica Don Jose is one of the finest coffees I have ever tasted. First of all, the tasting note is dead on...malt and lemon curd. The most impressive thing about this #coffee is that it manages to maintain great tension from the first sip through to the finish while maintaining elegance and finesse throughout. In wine terms, this is a Grand Cru Burgundy from Romanee Conti. The only other Central American coffee this memorable to my palate is Ritual Hacienda Carmona. I knew when I read the story behind the beans that this would be a winner (you can read the story on Verve's site) and Juan Ramon Alvarado is a genius. #coffeeoninstagram #centralamerica #costarica #tarrazu #juanramonalvarado #villasarchi #ojodeagua #fullywashed #wetprocess

Once the coffee arrives in the buyers warehouse, it’s being processed. There are different processing methods, which have different effects on the cup. In the case the buyer wet-processed (washed) the coffee. Therefore fruit-flesh and skin first needs to be removed with a depulper. Afterwards the beans are put in a water tank for a certain amount of hours to be fermented. Finally the coffee dries under this roof for and is turned regularly until the moisture content reaches 10-12% ☕️ #throwback #beantherejourney #coffeejourney #beanthere #coffee #coffeelover #coffeeculture #coffeeshop #barista #traveltheworld #travelblog #coffeeblog #hawaii #kona #bigisland #farmstay #coffeeplantation #coffeepicking #coffeebuyer #coffeeprocessing #wetprocess #washedprocess #coffeedrying #konacoffee #timeflies (hier: Kona, Big Island Hawaii) https://www.instagram.com/p/CJ9GzLCAI9h/?igshid=z6uh08zy7sqa

What is Oxidising Agent | Application of Oxidizing Agents in Textile Wet Processing
What is Oxidising Agent | Application of Oxidizing Agents in Textile Wet Processing #oxidisingagent #reducingagent #wetprocessing
What is Oxidising Agent? An oxidising agent is a reactant that removes electrons from other reactants during a redox reaction. We can also say that any chemical substance that has a tendency to accept electrons and thereby undergoing reduction themselves is known as an oxidising agent. An oxidizing agent is also referred to as an oxidizer or an oxidant. Oxygen is the prime example of an oxidising…

Potential Problems Caused by Hard Water in Textile Wet Processing Industry
Potential Problems Caused by Hard Water in Textile Wet Processing Industry #hardwater #waterhardness #hardnessofwater #hardnessintextile #wetprocessing
Hard Water: The presence of Calcium, Magnesium salt i.e bi-carbonates, sulphates, Chloride in water is responsible for hardness of water. The water which contains these salts is called hard water. These salts may precipitate some dyes during dyeing or form complexes resulting in dulling of shades. Other metal salts, such as iron and strontium, may also contribute to hardness, but they are…
