Aha! Scratch what I said in the previous post, as I decided to educate myself for this one. Looks like Shakugan no Shana is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Now I am in shock that it has been 20 years! XD

But this will definitely explain why we are getting not one but two brand-new scales. I love the kimono design on this one, but I am not a fan of how the flowers are the exact same shade as her hair. It looks like she has a bed hair or something. May be with a bit more shading? The flames at her feet are cool, the black base, not so much. Hopefully they will at least paint it red by the final prototype...

But still an overall interesting one. A+ for effort, Kadokawa!

✧2023冬ワンフェス後記✧

HPへの事前掲載をすっかり忘れてしまいました。2/12（日）にワンフェス2023冬に参加してきました。すっかり客足も戻った感じがあります。

今回デビューはともゑちゃん。原型はポリパテとZbrushミックスでつくりました。あずみ商會初の胸像になります。（ポリパテで人物を作るのはちょっと限界だったような気がしています。）

彩色は、ピンクベースっぽいほうを先に塗りましたが、顔がちょっとけばいかしら〜と思って緑ベースのほうを作りました。こちらは目がさっぱりしています。同じ原型でも塗り方で顔がこれだけ変わるというのはメイクで変わる証明であります。

ともゑは当初、どちらのお面を向けて置いておくかで家族等へ意思表示出来るYES/NOまくら的実用フィギュアと思ってたけど、どちらのお面も「カッ」としてる表情になったいま、その用途は微妙になりました。 

かれらは誰がメインでもなく、三つ巴というわけです😉

Wonder Festival (and others) Winter 2023 Highlights 

So Chainsaw man has been getting a lot of noise around it. I haven’t finished the first season of the anime yet and never started the manga, but the huge number of high quality figures that have been piling already is a testament this show is more than popular. Companies have been getting figures up for pre-order one after another so fast, I find it funny. One would wonder why are they not always so quick to catch on the most recent trends.

Personally, I admit, a few of the pieces have been catching my eye, but as I am still finding my footing with the show and just getting to know all the characters, I’ve been staying away.

But, I see a handsome man with a huge fox next to him, so I have to talk about it and there you have it! This looks gorgeous, probably my favorite design-wise of everything I have seen thus far.

Am I going to get it, tho, probably not. Am I gonna kick myself later when it doubles in price, probably. But for now, I am staying on the other, much more collected side of this craze. XD

But to whoever is all in, I think the pre-orders for this are already open.
