A Buzz about town. After over 20 years of teasing, @volkswagen_uk have unveiled the spiritual successor too the iconic Type 2 Bulli, the 2022 ID Buzz. Unveiled 5 years ago as the ID Buzz concept as part of VDubz initial unveiling of the ID range, some of the extravagant details have of course gone, but the design is faithful to both the concept and its Great Grandfather. Both passenger and Cargo van variants have been unveiled, the latter not just being style over substance having 3.9 m3 of cargo space and being able to carry two Euro pallets, while the passenger varient also has a very useful 1121 litres of cargo capacity, and that's before you fold the second row. If said row of seats is folded down, the load capacity increases to up to a massive 2,205 litres and with a longer wheelbase version coming, if you need space, this will deliver Of course being based on the same MEB platform as most of the other VAG group leccy cars (ID3, ID3, ID5, Škoda Enyaq, Cupra Born and Audi Q4 E-Tron among future products) means shared powertrains, although currently a single, rear driven 2wd variant with a 77 kWh battery pack with 150 kW/201 hp motor, although with less and more powerful variants of the other cars available its just a matter of time for an AWD, twin motor Buzz GTX. No official range yet, though somewhere between 250 and 300 miles should be expected, perfect for those little getaways (hopefully the rumored ID Buzz California appears) With great looks, funky colour schemes, lots of space and practicality and the all Important VW badge on the nose, the Wolfsburg based brand have definitely made a Buzz about the BUZZ.
