dude obviously no pressure but i would Love to hear abt ur playlist sorting system...

ok so. i can normally spend around like 2 hours making a playlist bc it's genuinely fun and relaxing for me to mess around nd try nd find new music. like i have a whole thing where i addd songs from my current library that i think fit, and then i look up words that relate to whatever concept or character i'm making a playlist for nd see if any of the lyrics match up (i get a lot of new music this way :] ). i get a cover nd maybe a description if im feeling zany ... and then i have 2 sort it !

i have a few main folders that most of my playlists fit into. there's one for general 'feeling' type playlists; really any collection of songs centered around a specific emotion goes here. next i have a folder for more thematic playlists, which tends to be where my character playlists or movie/video game/etc aesthetic playlists live. this also just ends up being a catch for anything that doesn't really fit anywhere else lol like my workout playlist is in here LMAO. i also have a folder for all of my monthly music playlists, dating back to january 2020! i keep my spotify wrapped in here too. not to be gay on main but i have a self ship folder since i like having f/o playlists/insert separate from general character playlists (nd when i Really Enjoy a character i tend to end up with both <3). after that is a lil folder called 'for orion', which is playlists made for me by my friendds! as well as like . the lil playlists spotify generates for you sometimes lol. i also keep playlists that i save off of spotify in their own folder, and i'm currently working on getting that sorted better; i wanted subfolders of like uhhh soundtracks and genre playlists and thingz like that. it's very messy currently lol.

and i really don't delete playlists! i like to keep them even if i don't listen to them. i have around 170 unique playlists or so (i made a playlist last night lol i think the number was up there) with even more saved off spotify, but i'd say i only listen to around 2-3 on rotation at a time. sometimes i don't sort them until i get bored of them just so i don't have to go searching in my gay little folders for them every time lol. the monthly one actually stays out until it gets archived just so i can easily drag songs to it, and at the end of each month i go through and prune it before putting it away !
