I MUST LET THIS OUT FOR THE LIFE OF ME.

The Sabigiyuu mythos that is still on hold to be rewritten is like a mess of all my favorite mythologies combined but has now grown into an even BIGGER mess because at first I was like:

"Oh cool, Giyuu is just a fair maiden kidnapped by God of the underworld Sabito, that will be a cool idea to make a story of."

But it just didn't fit the bill... no it really didn't fit the bill with me doing a simple story, so I decided to give a backstory to Sabito's death.

Oh boy that was a hole I shouldn't have stepped of especially in the third chapter of the fic.

But I sweated it over bc I was still doing writing for cracks and laughs [I still am but my world building skills have taken over me.]

Mistake number two was getting more information about the hymph of Demeter, you know, the og story of hades and persephone.

I was surprised! What do you mean Hades didn't exist in mycenaean records but persephone and the hymphs did??? Eh????

Then my brain hushed over me, "Hey hey~ maybe we should expand Sabito and Giyuu's story a little more~"

So chapter 5 got rewritten, remade.

*incoming muffled groans of pain as I start to suffer from worldbuilding syndrome*

Brain did not stop there.

"Oh I think the underworld, the Waterworld, the earth and the havens are good enough for worlds."

Brain: "Eight. Make eight different worlds all connected by the a worlds tree like the Yggdrasil."

"Hm, I want to add a little angst to sabigiyuu--"

Brain: "Illiad mate, make references to the Illiad, also take a few things from the oddessy and Ishtar's journey to the underworld so we can get the reason as to why Giyuu is the water god."

"But that-"

"Do it."

"Hey we haven't explored how Sabito met Giyuu-"

Brain: "Easy, give it heaven's official kind of blessing vibe."

"But thats not a myth-"

"Apapap- I'm not done yet, that's just for their first meeting. The second focal meeting will be inspired by the epic of gilgamesh."

"...."

"So about the war."

Brain: "Yeah just a few things like the Illiad- NO WAIT! Add the Theogony...and um... Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh add the ragnarok yeeeee~~ ragnarok~~"

Brain:"Hey."

"It's almost 11 pm and I am doing the family tree for all the gods for the... fourth time what do you want?"

Brain: "Eros and Psyche's story."

"....Go on..."

Brain: "But in Obamitsu style, and adding in the Atlanta and Hippomenes story instead of the whole oracle thing."

"Mnn.. that sounds cute."

Brain: "Also do you think prometeus story would fit well for Kyojuro's origins-".

"I should have chosen the story to be DouKoto when I had the chance." *keeps adding more lore and turns the fic into a series.*

All in all the story is quite the twist and turns, and by that I mean going from the present days of Giyuu's kidnapping and exploring the underworld while contrasting both gods to their past Giyuu and Sabito's selves when they where human and demigods. Because if we are making fluff, there must be a balance of angst, it's just the law of equivalent exchange.

And then I weep as I make Sabito's origins as the God of the underworld far more tragic because Giyuu is a belovedwho I must torture. (For the time being because this has a happy ending... if you strech the meaning... of happy...)

I should just call this the 1000 year hiatus because of how long it's taking me to write it down.

And lord help me because we haven't even gotten to the OTHER main ship of the fic, AkaYuki, because their romance is developed as the story really goes on since THEY are the ones who get to know more about why Sabito just kidnapped Giyuu out of nowhere, how to get back to the underworld to bring Giyuu back, and most importantly, what where Sabito's and Giyuu's past. Meanwhile Sabito is holding back from not telling everything and Giyuu has no idea bc ~lore~

Sabito... oh God Sabito is a mess in this fic, and I mean that in the "holy Jesus you need hugs" kind of way.
