Promotion is actually being made official, after months of (expected and unavoidable) delays related to things like waiting to hear back from grants and (less expected and more avoidable) sorting out internal organizational politics stuff (ugh). I am torn between wanting to dismiss it as expected and not a big deal and wanting to actually celebrate it and be celebrated.

#there are logistics I don't know yet #(like actually pay which sounds ridiculous but my organization has very fair and uniform salary/raise practices #& pays better than other comparable social service jobs so I am not actually particularly concerned)#but the big deal is that this will mean supervising other people in what I do & training people across the state to do it #and having a major voice in shaping how services for this group of survivors are provided & expanded #which is actually a tremendous amount of responsibility and I am still countenancing it #personal #advocacy
