Does anybody ever wonder about what would’ve happened if Ruyi hadn’t died so soon after her innocence was proven? I mean in the show it looks like some time passed, not sure how much, but it would have been immensely satisfying to see her enjoying herself at least. All I’m saying is that I would have loved loved loved it if we had gotten to spend more time with Ruyi in the last two episodes instead of focusing on the emperor/emperor and her. Like, so we know he was trying to win her back? Ok! Let me see her absolutely give zero fucks and decline EVERY offer, luxury, favor, EVERYTHING he would offer because deep down there’s nothing he can give that she wants/needs anymore. Let me see HIM fail, let me see him suffer! Let me see those concubines that sided with Wei Yanwan scramble trying to regain favor! I wanted it so badly!! 😩
