I dont say this in any superior sort of way, but if you werent subjected to destiel in your formative years as it unfolded in real time then you simply don't get it
#to be clear you dont want to get it#to be clear !!#but like so much happened that in hindsight ??#it just will never compare to any other show (not a compliment)#i was thinking abt that scene when dean gets a hard on because cas walks into the room all cleaned up and pretty#and as a 14 year old (or something) viewer I was like ???? gay ?????#and still almost 10 later im not sure wtf they intended with any of the dean and cas scenes ?#no other piece of media has left me with so much rage at its unfulfilled potential#and with so many questions for everyone involved#like why did jensen make such ?? gay choices in his gay acting when he was so clearly against the idea of his character being gay ??#why did the writers mock the audience so harshly for picking up on the subtext that they very much wrote into the show ?#ok sorry to rant#what im saying is you had to be there#and when people say 'oh you got queerbaited queerbaited' they arevery much correct#like it is just. it was evil.#spn#destiel
