wHY IM GLAD YOU ASKED-- I'll hold off on my nagito rant (you a good fren for letting me ramble about a game you haven't even played--) So let's start with the first two.

JAKE ROGERS

OKAYYY I don't know how to feel about Jake Rogers because the game doesn't go that deep into him. I would love more of a backstory on him. I think there was definitely more going on than what we saw. I really would have liked to know more than just "oh yeah he blackmailed a bunch of people and sold drugs and everyone's happy he's dead." So the headcannons about him are A+ but canon Jake is wasted potential if I've ever seen it

COLIN BAXTER

Okay Colin is about as interesting as a dry cracker lmao, HER Interactive did really good on some characters and then some were just so boring. But I would have been interested if it were revealed he was somewhere on the spectrum. To me he totally reminds me of someone with Asperger's (with a special interest in art) but this could just be my interpretation. But just at face value very boring sorry Colin

NAGITO KOMAEDA

ah yes my favorite boy with his body count gotta love him

OKAY LET ME EXPLAIN A FEW THINGS so the reason i marked "deeper than they seem" and "not as deep as they seem" is because you really get to know Nagito by watching extra scenes that are easily accessed in the game but you have to actively look for it. So if you don't look into him you miss the facts that 1) he has so much trauma 2) he has frontotemporal dementia, both of which explain a lot of his actions. So yes deeper than he seems. ON THE OTHER HAND all of the characters assume he's super shady and always planning a murder and such. And yes he is manipulative, but at the same time, sometimes he's just vibing. Like leave him alone he's just saying good morning he's not going to try to kill you.

There's a part in the game where you actually get to play as Nagito (I screamed when this happened I was so happy) and since you play first person POV you get to see some of his thoughts. Here are just a few because I do what I want

OKAY so from the first one, this scene was after he just offended someone and they left. And he can recognize they're upset but he doesn't know why. This is common in patients with frontotemporal dementia; they offend people without meaning to because they're too blunt or say things that typically aren't said because of social rules and such.

SECOND AND THIRD PICTURE basically just prove he really does want to help his classmates. He wants to be useful and wants them to be happy and safe from danger. Even if his motive is always "for the sake of hope" he still genuinely cares about them. Which is why the other characters in the game frustrate me when they outcast him and treated him like a deranged psychopath (they legit tied him up after the first trial and didn't feed him for like a full day) and I get why they hated him after he… you know, tried to kill everyone except the traitor. But before that, he was morally gray and did bad things, but he was trying to do it for a good reason and to accomplish a good thing. And yes, his apathy towards death (whether it be his own death or someone else's) is not great, but first of all, apathy is another symptom of frontotemporal dementia, second of all he's really used to death because people have died in front of him so many times. Including his dog. Which is still tragic af.

Fourth picture is just funny my guy just wants to play on a playground but doesn't anyone mad at him. (He'll go on about how he'd love to die and he's a stepping stone or whatever BUT HE DRAWS THE LINE AT THE SWINGSET)

The fans did Nagito dirty by turning him into an uwu gay boy. It will never not drive me insane. Unless someone is projecting in a fanfic, if Nagito cries for no reason I'm going to throw myself out a window. Though I don't like him being portrayed as a deranged lunatic it's not like he's never done anything wrong either. And he's not super sweet soft fluffy boy.

Lastly seriously. Why do he look like that. He's a multimillionaire and is coat looks like it came out of a garbage can. Someone please teach this man how to dress.

HERE'S AN MCC RANT/DISCUSSION POST. FEEL FREE TO DISCUSS OR ADD ANYTHING. NEGATIVITY AND DIFFERENT OPINIONS ARE WELCOME. (Unless you disagree with me 👹 /j)

No disrespect to any other MCC players or the hate they receive because of toxic fans however I think out of every single competitor Dream deserves to rant like a little bitch the most.

Most of the MCC Reddit and fanbase in general hate him, some of their reasons are valid however downvoting every comment or post that remotely is nice to Dream is weird especially if it's got no actual mention of Dream but is an opinion that Dream also has (Buildmart /neg) especially as the Reddit claims to be less toxic than Stan twt yet seem to cry over any opinion related to Dream. (Newsflash that behaviour is just as toxic as twitter saying Niki shouldn't be in the event if she just cries over letting her team down)

Not to downplay any past toxic behaviour from Dream (MCC9) but he definitely ends up with the most toxic bitches up his ass which is definitely not deserved and people saying he's just egotistical is low-key weird. Yes he has a bit of an ego however that's a good thing. I'd rather be self confident in my abilities than constantly see myself as a failure and honestly the people I see getting mad at Dream being proud of himself are some of the most insecure bitches and honestly do you hate Dream or do you hate that he doesn't hate himself like you hate yourself.

Getting excited because he's lost his passion for MCC which means he's not in it is gross especially because of why he no longer enjoys it. I mean someone sent a false police call to his house mid event (which based on private things he's previously shared could very easily be a traumatic event), people waste thousands of dollars to buy spam bots to fuck with him and his streams, he has this insane amount of pressure being the biggest streamer and being stuck with the reputation of being a top player because if he's not first place people hound his ass saying he's bad at the game and doesn't deserve to be in MCC, if he gets first people try to place all the credit to his teammates or claim other competitors are scared to face him because of his deranged fans. No wonder he doesn't want to be in an event if all he gets is hate no matter how he plays. You know its bad when the dwt2 subreddit thinks the mud counter would reset every MCC day.

I'm sorry but if he wants to answer a public open question on Reddit about who he thinks is the GOAT of MCC he's allowed to say himself and give reasons without it being a ego trip. It's gross to see people respond to his comment with "actually this person beat you in this event and this person stats are higher than you" all because of a fucking opinion. Like if you want to uplift another competitor then post your own comment instead of trying to downplay someone else's achievements.

Yeah he's definitely been a toxic MCC player in the past and was definitely less than kind to some players however he's also definitely grown in maturity and I think people should acknowledge both past and present MCC Dream. Yeah some of the shit he said was real cunt behaviour but it's the exact same shit people say to him and about him now. So by all means call him a toxic player as long as you acknowledge that you're a toxic fan.

Honestly MCC hasn't been fun for a while it's just been pure stress. It went from a fun chill event during MCC 1 to MCC 5 and then MCC 6 is when Dream and Fruit joined and Dream gained his little competitive head because of Techno and both Dream and Fruit became two big threats. Then MCC 11 honestly was the last fun event for me. After that it became too much of a competition and wasn't fun. I still watch someone's pov for the live event and watch Hbomb, CPK, Ant, Krtzyy etcs vod reviews but half of the competitors just seem more stressed than excited and it just isn't the same vibe.

I think the whole tier list system is a huge contributor to the competitive level which is past of the reason why I hate the whole tier system. Top players got stressed everytime they weren't in top 5 and it's honestly an insult to reduce people to a tier placement especially when saying something like Sapnap and Niki should team because Sapnap needs to be needed. Like that's so insulting to Niki. The tier lists are way more toxic than the fans ever were because at least the toxic fans didn't try and sugarcoat their insults and hatred using tier lists and downvotes.

Yes I agree Scott shouldn't be allowed to take part in the event and make the teams however I literally couldn't care less anymore. However if I were Scott I wouldn't feel good about it especially if I was first to 5 because I know people would downplay it to me being team bias. I mean it was kind of a slut move to put himself with Captain who everyone wants to win so of Scott does win hopefully his first to 5 backlash will be overshadowed by Caps win.

Also my order for the first to 5 is Dream, Pete, Hbomb, Sapnap, Scott. Dream first because I want him to keep his clean Dodgebolt wins and because I have a Dream bias, Pete I would enjoy his win because he was my favourite mcyt back in the day and he was my first face reveal, whilst I don't watch him as much anymore I still think it's a cool full circle moment if he won, Hbomb I would want to win because he's not s Tier and a non s Tier non event organizer winning would be cool also I would love to see twitter cry (sorry to Hbomb mental health if he did win but I would love to see toxic fans cry), Sapnap whilst I'd love for him to win and would put him second I do think he needs to be humbled a bit, I also like the idea of the first to 5 being an og s Tier not a season 2 s Tier (however I know Dream and Sapnap would be happy if the other won so I consider a Dream win a Sapnap one and vice versa) finally Scott, whilst I want him to win aswell I do think it's not as cool if someone involved in making the event and the event creator is the first to 5 wins. Like I always root for the gays but I'm in my homophobic arc with Scott and MCC win 5. (This is a joke I'm LGBTQ) finally whilst I don't like the idea of someone else getting to 5 wins before any of the current ones if anyone was to be first to 5 I would want it to be Krtzyy, CPK, Quig or Shubble.

Not Beth parents being more awful then I ever though they would be 😢 I could understand the whole wanting to detach an Beth needing to find her own friends instead of being dependant on her parents- but they're her parents!!! Like notice when your child is depressed 😭

And Rick doing a 180° to become the most well balanced member atm, we love to see it 😅 But like... Has this teacher never heard of actual studying and trying? Like people that decide to try can actually turn out to be super smart, way to encourage.....

1. I am honestly still on the fence about Beth’s parents. From Beth’s pov yes they’re being pretty upsetting and I absolutely understand why she’s in some serious pain, but I still want to give them the benefit of the doubt. Not only because I know what it’s like to be the daughter of a hospital shift parent, but also because like I really really REALLY just want one black “superfamily” to be in tact for ONCE— But yes, Beth is struggling and they need to notice. At this point I’m also more sus of her father. We see her mom like 50% try but her dad? What the heck is his excuse?

2. Rick being the most well-balanced while also sounding like a deranged kid to his teachers and literally listening to like Blue Valley’s version of Yogi Bear is KILLING me hakalspdlgp also I LITERALLY just wrote 2 weeks ago a canon compliant fic to the scene of Rick being accused of cheating I legitimately flipped out when I saw it

3. With Cameron, I’m not concerned, he’s always been an overly chill (ha) teen. It actually sort of fits in with the whole Icicle Jr persona. I’m wondering where exactly did Cameron go since they keep referencing that he left, but was it with his grandparents??? Hm. Also this isn’t his first tragedy, maybe he deals with grief by shutting down and acting in denial like you know “this is fine” meme.
