Day Nine of @celerymoondesigns' #12DaysofChristmas is "Rich & Royal." Since Janet VanDyne is a fashion designer (depending on canon), here's my Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes #Waspcosplay! 💖🐝✨ * * This is one of the cosplays I'd most like to redo, for several reasons, but EMH Janet is so much fun (though I'm nowhere near as perky & confident as she is)! First picture is from #WildcatComicCon 2014; swipe on IG for a somewhat silly picture from Halloween that year featuring my Captain Ameribear from @buildabear (my concept for the picture was that Steve somehow got turned into a bear because magic & Janet went big so she could grab him). @ugoandcosplay's recent Seattle Avengers group snap made me realise I've not posted my Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes #Wasp cosplay to this account yet! 💖 This was a tricky #cosplay for me for a few reasons: pattern modification (the bodice & skirt are two different patterns), those zigzags!, first time making non-sewn props (the headset), & my only attempt at bootcovers so far. I've worn this to #WildcatComicCon (this snap is from 2014), @t2comiccon, & Library Comic Con at my library. * * This is one of the cosplay I'd most like to redo: the bootcovers detached pretty much halfway through their first Con, the bodice doesn't fit as well as it should (the whole thing is Lycra, but I lined it in cotton for coolness (& now it doesn't stretch), & I made the mistake of trying to use iron-on interfacing (to stiffen the bottom of the skirt).
