Corsie has been captaining Villa one way or another since she’s been there

Rachel is a little bit of a no brainer. She has a ton of captaining experience and she’s definitely one of the best in the world right now

Lucy Stan I think was just a matter of consistency. Out of her and Jord she’s more likely to be present more due to the fact that she’s less likely to get call ups, etc. She also tends to play full 90 minutes whereas Jord is rested more.

I also think there has to be some kind of ptsd there 😭 Her being stripped of the vice captaincy at Arsenal must’ve been a horrible experience. Everyone knows she’s a leader and an extension of Carla on the pitch so the added pressure and responsibility of the armband isn’t needed imo (but yes I miss armband Jord 🥲).

Agree with you anon ! I think Carla has done good with her picks for her leadership group, they all bring different qualities to the table that I think will be good for the team when any of them wear the armband, Lucy Stan was an interesting one ! I didn’t see it coming but I have no complaints as I could see her as a good captain

I also agree 😭if I was Jordan I’d need some serious therapy, she got dragged through the bushes at arsenal the past 1.5/2 years, being pushed to third in the leadership group mustn’t have been easy. When she’s on the pitch we always see her giving out instructions, and I can always hear her shouting from my screen 😭 she doesn’t need the armband to be a leader, less pressure for her. 🥲

I will miss the warmup and on pitch contents of Leah and Jord!!! So we understand now why Leah hugged Jord last game when jordy was crying🥹🥹 so you think they’re still together, right? Hugging, holding hands and the ways they look at each other❤️
