So I'm doing my daily rounds around camp, making sure everyone's happy. Gale gets a "sorry I chose Karlach over u" line but when I click it, cuz I legitimately adore gale and he will NOT die on my fucking honor–

He asks if it's between Wyll or him?? And I was like ??? Cuz I legit never had Wyll in my party, and I don't know how to check that without. Is it a bug??

Also is Halsin... available to romance...I'm confused because I was asking him how he was faring and he's all like "ye we in the shadowlands but u make it worth it *wink wink*" and I was like..."wait so you aren't the father figure/mentor without dreams/old guy???"

ppl claiming that scar turned his character around entirely out of nowhere like they haven't been building it up since (at least) his first meeting with winry. He understands her desire to make him pay, to exact revenge, and wouldn't hold it against her for doing what he would have done. But what he didn't expect is seeing it demonstrated that taking revenge holds the possibility of it destroying you despite what your loved ones want for you or would have wanted for you, and that not taking revenge and finding a way to improve the situation (instead of playing into a cycle - a main theme of the story) can be an alternative to his instinct to destroy himself enacting revenge (which on its own also holds a very nuanced perspective on what PTSD can do to ppl and how ppl around them - even strangers - can help them for the better, even if it's just demonstrating a different perspective)

My honest Rant about Rinlen (aka Lenrin, Bananaorenji) + Whenever I ship Rin/Len with a vocaloid.

(I have a feeling that I'll get some criticism...but idc..)

Rinlen or either known as Bananaorange, Rilen, Lenrin, Lerin. Used to be a popular ship back in the first times of Vocaloid fandom alongside with Kaimiku and perhaps of Meiluka.

Now whenever we see. About this ship. A majority of it hates the ship either bc of they look similar, twins (despite the fact that they aren't tbh) or it's just they have the same last name. A small part of it loves the ship. And there's a way way smaller part of the community that doesn't care about Rinlen/ doesn't mind the ship of itself.

And I'm one of the rare people doesn't mind Rilen or at least doesn't care. Why? You may ask. Because Vocaloids basically don't have personalities or canon relations (expect Anon-Kanon since they are both canonically twins)

Since we talk about this ship. Why people dislikes the ship?

1) They look the Same.

Just because they look same? Well. Yeah they do look the same but who cares? All humans are related whether the skin colour that u have. All of us are siblings. Let me show some couples that kinda look similar.

Ichigo x Orihime for instance. They both have orange hair (thou Orihime's kinds look a bit brownish) but they both have smh same eye color!

And another example is Edward x Winry from FMA/FMAB. Again they look a bit similar despite the fact that their eye color are different. So the shade of blond/blonde hair.

2) They have the same last name.

Again. Vocaloid shows of us possibilities. So does Crypton. Crypton announced that they are mirror bendings but you can make their relationship different. In some songs they are twins right (aka Evillious Chronicles) or lovers (like Suki Kirai)

Just because they have the last "Kagamine" doesn't really change the fact. You can change of the character's surname like:

(L) Ren Hane or Rin Kuroyami

(Lmao goofy surnames...)

3) They sound the same. And have the same voice actor

Again? Guys. I mean Mirai Komachi and Rin sound the same. Ofc some vocaloids do kinda sound same..

4) Isn't Rinlen a bit Selfcest/Incest?

Whenever I ship a vocaloid with Kagamines. I technically ship the other kagamine with that loid too.

What I mean is....

If I ship LenPiko I also would technically ship RinPiko

As i see the fact that kagamines do have the "One soul in two different bodies" which one is represents Femininity and the other is Masculinity.

been thinking abt my fmab hunger games au all day and its so convoluted lmao

So there's three timelines we gotta explain right away

First timeline:

Riza Hawkeye won a la guns (in this au u get weapons and can use alchemy) thus became the victor for her district (like the equivalent of district 12 but i cant be bothered to have 24 ppl in a cast therefore we splitting this as arakawa intended- east district)

Second timeline:

Edward Elric was reaped. Al could not volunteer because he knew that if the capitol (aka central) ppl find out about his body theyd not only punish him but theyd probably also kill ed for comitting the taboo

Now!

It's WINRY who volunteers for some random girl because she is eds mechanic!! And he can't survive out there without her!! She is doing this for you Ed!

Riza is their haymitch. Roy Mustang, exists in this au but I'm torn between two routes for him

He's like a Gale character for Riza but the reason why he didn't volunteer to be alongside Riza for her HG was because he was too old by that point. Riza was like 18 when she got reaped.

Roy Mustang is a capitol boy who is the main schmoozing bitch that gets riza all her sponsors because that woman has 0 rizz. Effie but a man whore.

Ed and Winry win much alike Katniss and Peeta do in the first HG. I don't care for this. My fic would start with the 2nd quarter quell when all of the previous winners gotta fight.

Third timeline:

Winry gets chosen for the 75th HG. Riza steps up for her. They know she won't be this lucky again how she was last time.

Ed is the only East District male tribute.

Reason why riza stepped up is because these hunger games are going to be a bloodbath.

Olivier and Alex Armstrong will he competing. And they're careerists. (See this is where it gets kinda weird how to plan because if I have Central be capitol then that means we can't have Armstrong in this but which district would I put them in if I can't have this- lmao Olivier and Miles as North District tributes maybe - Miles may have volunteered for Alex because Alex came out of his HG completely traumatised (much alike in ishval))

Comanche and Izumi from the south district (also careerists or just built like that lmao)

And that just leaves us with the West District

This random boy gets reaped but oh! Oh! Don't worry - because there's someone who REALLY wants back in that arena! The one and only Crimson Lotus (that man would RELISH in all of the fanfare and the centre of attention he'd play the game very well and would always be like: no fair, why are we doing this w kids we should invent a new hg for us :/ (lmaooo a sponsor sent him a ph stone during his initial hg could u believe that and then he went ham thatd be so funny honestly)

Anyway Sheska is the female tribute because plot reasons.

Ishval is its own district let's say and we get Scar (volunteered for his brother in his first games and now is the only male tribute from the Victors)

I guess an OC there aren't a lot of female characters to choose from.

Anyway I love my pandemonium *kicks legs* it'd be so fucked up especially because I have ideas how to nerf the alchemists to make them more equal with the regulars when they're running for that cornucopia.

LOTS OF BODY/ORGAN TALK !!!!!!

EHHHH so. one of my ideas was that al lost 100% of his arm and legs but a good portion of his torso was still...... there? i guess? and that the automail torso functions more as a shell to both to help operate the limbs and protect everything that was left. I thought of it like this so that he he could retain all of his organs. but also this leads to the imagery that Al is literally a nugget once you remove the automail parts (EXPLODES MYSELF) so i have ignored it bc i didn't like that !!

The main reason i thought of it like that was because it's never mentioned in the manga/anime whether or not theres automail organs and I'd imagine there isn't such a thing, so i wasn't sure whether or not to make the jump myself and give al automail lungs/intestines/stomach/etc. because that makes automail HELLUVA lot more crazy. the absolute magnitude of shit that winry and pinako would have to be able to do to keep al ALIVE would be fucking insane??

Idk if i mentioned it somewhere but i also thought of al particularly losing more and more of his body over time. Like. maybe the legs/arm were gone from the word go, but it would slowly keep leaching further and further up his torso or even down his neck to his chest since they either couldn't cut it all out. hence them being able to keep progressively working on Al's torso and creating/replacing the organs as he both grows older and decays. i primarily went with this because if Al lost all of that body mass right from the initial accident, he literally would not be able to survive. they would not be able to make automail organs fast enough.

it's something i need to do more research on bc currently I'm just word dumping onto this ask and am not looking at anything but! what IS the limit of organs someone can have as mechanical replacements? like there's artificial lungs and hearts in modern medical practice, but would having both put too much stress on the brain?? what is the neurological impact of that??? the amount of shit that al would need replaced would be insane. how the fuck would the brain comprehend that.

i didn't even think about it until just now tbh but i wanna know any opinions on if Al should have a bionic eye...? this would of course mean more facial automail which i'm nooot against? idk........

he very much feels phantom pain!!!!! he is in pain 95% of the time!! i think i mentioned the idea of al having to take sooome kind of pain-reliever to even be able to deal with day-to-day life, but with that train of thought i was worried i would toe into addiction issues coming up (bc. i mean. either he's in cataclysmic pain or he's not. i wouldn't blame him for not wanting to feel like a giant fucking bleeding wound) and i wasn't sure if that is a subject i want to tackle/am confident i could tackle and do justice with.

anyways. yea! i never thought about whether or not he had to use the bathroom honestly lol. i knew that i wanted him to still not be able to eat. which BLOWS he gets to be human (????? are u still human if you're 85% metal??????) but my guy can't have fucking pie??? such bullshit. i'll haveta think about how he gets energy though bc of the lack of food intake. (lol what if hes solar powered . KIDDING)

Dogs can feel | fear but also love with perfect accuracy

This one is an old WIP, begun in summer 2021, and I clearly remember thinking about it while looking for wild blackberries to harvest in the forest.

It's about Riza and the dogs who shared her life at one point or another, a 5+1 fic with a Royai ending. For now I have three chapters in English, four and the beginning of the fifth in French, and an idea for the +1. I've found a great beta in @magipies !

General Opinion over said character:

i think he's nifty! i'm glad there's less focus on him in brohood than in fma03 cus i think fma03 tries a bit too hard to have him be a sort of heroic aragorn type, and i think thematically it works better if he's on more equal footing with his allies and friends. but i also like brohood giving him more nuance, the dark-past-redemption-via-coup works better in that version imo
