winwin + waking up in the morning to see that you aren't alone, and there is someone's arms clinging to your side. everything inside of you is filled with relaxation.
warnings: he’s healing from smth unmentioned, fluff an: you rlly unlocked my love for writing him, anon.. this is a little short but i tried making it poetic so i hope you enjoy 🤍🤍🤍 it was a bit of a struggle but i had fun !!!
Tumblr media
it’s quite cold this early in the morning, window cracked and birds chirping outside. it sends subtle shivers through his spine, gives him a cold sweat, and he’s already dreading that feeling of waking up. he curls in on himself, hugging himself tight. the feeling of isolation is strong, even the second he wakes up this morning, that feeling of another person’s warmth and weight on his chest withers away.
“sicheng? are you okay?” he hears, the prettiest voice blessing his ears, a warm hand rubbing his back.
oh.
he turns, and there you are, his love, so sleepy and so gorgeous, expression full of beauty and concern. his body feels like a vacuum sealed plushy, full of tension that slowly releases when the bag is cut. he allows himself to stretch, to breathe, turning to you fully and bringing himself as close to you as possible. there isn’t a single inch of skin left untouched by him, his hands running over you like he might forget. he has.
“i won’t ask any questions you aren’t ready for, but know that i’m right here, okay?” you say, running a hand through his slightly damp hair.
he just hums, voice baritone with his returning fatigue. he’s not worried about whatever he had been going through, and honestly, he forgot. you’re here, you’re real, and that’s all he needs. he’s gotten his relief, his confirmation that you’re his, he’s okay.
he allows himself to fall back asleep in your arms, the feeling of safety and security finally coming back to him. nothing plagues his dreams this time, his thoughts are positive, and he actually feels safe for once. you’ve always been there, helping him remember that he’s not alone. he sinks deeper into you, into the bed almost deadweight, but you let him. he’s healing, and so are you. mending his heart is everything.

wayv and pda
pairing: wayv x gn!reader
cw: none
author's note: guess who's back from the dead! long story short i've been booked and busy, and since i started this blog purely to post if and when i have an idea and/or inspiration, i didn't want to push myself to put out just anything. i'll continue to write as motivation comes though, so please stick around 🫶
Tumblr media
#kun
not really huge on pda. he prefers to keep intimacy for, well, intimate spaces, but still enjoys showing his affection for you to the level that says "this is my partner and i love them" without making any of the parties involved uncomfortable. that said, he prefers to do it with actions over touching, like opening the doors for you, walking on the side of the sidewalk that's closer to the street, or helping you out of your outerwear, but linking your arms or wrapping his hand around your waist is also very welcome. he's extremely observant too, so he'll move your necklace if the clasp has shifted to the front, fix your hair or head accessories, or take care of an eyelash that fell on your cheek. bonus: not exactly pda unless someone else is in the car, but he will put a hand over your thigh when he's driving.
#ten
honestly couldn't care less. not that he doesn't show pda, he does, a lot, but he never does it on purpose. he'd just casually put a hand around your shoulders when you're walking, on your thigh when you're sitting down, or place his chin on your shoulder when you're waiting in line out of habit. he'd touch your arm or shoulder when he's talking and lightly slap your arm while laughing because it feels natural to him. he's mindlessly reaching for your hand and intertwining your fingers when he's absorbed into telling a story, and give it a little squeeze when he's done and realizes it. most of those he would also do to his members or other close friends, but none of them would give him that familiar feeling in the stomach when reciprocating his affection like you do.
#winwin
not a fan, at all. not in front of strangers, not family, not the members. you'd have to take things slowly and look out for his reactions to get an idea of what he's okay with, or simply just sit him down and get it out of him. he will get shy and embarrassed, and that's the main reason for why he's not big on pda, but unless you plainly don't respect his boundaries he won't be uncomfortable to the point of getting annoyed either. he can handle a few teasing comments from his members and probably will gradually accommodate, but he still prefers when there's only one pair of eyes watching him. when it comes to holding hands, please link your pinky with his, for the sake of his heart (he also thinks it's cute).
#xiaojun
gets shy about pda but does it nevertheless. what can he say? he's whipped for you and he couldn't go an hour without a peck on your head, at the very least, and if someone happens to be in the same room at the time, then that's what the universe must have wanted. he's really just slightly less clingy in public than he is in private, and maybe will limit the amount of kisses according to who's there with you, but won't really complain about anything you initiate. will he blush all the way to the tips of his ears if anyone comments on his display of affection? yes. is he going to do it again in the span of the next thirty minutes? also yes. is he going to get over the shyness anytime soon? probably not.
#hendery
no amount of eyes can stop hendery from showering you with all the kisses and touches you deserve. he loves you and he's not afraid to show it - more than that, he might even get a slight ego boost from a stare or a teasing comment (to which he will respond with something along the lines of him being able to pull someone like you and make you embarrassed instead). he lives by the rule that if he can see you, he should be able to touch you and will sulk if you sit too far away for his liking. got past the stage where the members would tease him for pecking your lips by throwing shade back at them and now wouldn't even flinch if they walked into the room right into your make out session (which may or may not have happened).
#yangyang
he doesn't mind pda, but most of the time won't initiate it either. he's fine with more casual things like holding hands, hugging, or an occasional kiss on the cheek if that's something you're into, but he will get embarrassed and slightly uncomfortable if you do anything more without a warning, espacially in front of a bigger group of people. he has pretty strict boundaries in this matter but he's more than happy to communicate them to you and make sure he's aware of your own, as well as make sure that you don't feel pushed away. yangyang's also not a fan of showing affection in front of his members. he'll throw an arm around your shoulders when you're all watching a movie together if you've already been together for a while, but that's about it. you'll get all the cuddles and kisses in the world when you head to bed for the night though.

SICHENG WAS OVERTHINKING THINGS.
He’d been working non-stop, but he couldn’t deny his mind had drifted—right to his anniversary with you. He’d overheard you talking with one of your friends about how excited you were, how much you were looking forward to it. He wanted to make it perfect, something that would make you happy. Dinner reservations were easy, but they didn’t feel like enough. Should he get a gift? Plan a whole day out? Come up with something else that might be truly memorable?
Lost in his thoughts, he didn’t even notice when his bandmate, Kun walked in and took a seat across from him, observing him with a hint of amusement.
“Sicheng?”
Blinking, he looked up, a bit surprised to see Kun there. “Huh? Sorry, what did you say?”
Kun just laughed, shaking his head. “Not much. Just that it’s rare to see you this distracted unless you’re really deep in thought.”
“Yeah, maybe…” Sicheng rubbed the back of his neck, trying to brush it off. He didn’t want Kun reading too much into it.
“Lately, it’s like you’re in another world. Everything all right?”
“Yeah, of course…” Sicheng answered a little too quickly, trying to sound casual.
Kun just smirked at him. “You sure? I mean, there’s no comeback, no new schedules, and you’ve been back from China for a while. So the only thing I can think of is…Y/N.”
Sicheng let out a wry chuckle. Kun knew him too well. It was true; every free moment, his mind drifted back to you, to your anniversary, and to how he wanted to surprise you. He hadn’t expected one person could so easily take over his thoughts, filling him with the urge to make every moment with you special. “Alright, maybe you’re right,” he admitted, a slight smile tugging at his lips. “I just…want it to be perfect.”
“Why don’t you just ask her?” Kun pointed out.
“I’ll try I guess.” Sicheng knew it was a bit silly, but he couldn’t deny how much he’d changed since meeting you.
After wrapping up work, he headed home, the excitement building as he approached your room. Seeing you lying comfortably in bed, he slipped in quietly and sat beside you, gently brushing his fingers through your hair.
“Y/N…is there anything special you want to do for our anniversary?” He tried to keep his voice casual, hoping to hide just how much he’d been agonizing over it.
You looked up at him with a small smile. “Honestly? Just spending the weekend together sounds perfect. It’s been a while since we did that.” There was a slight hesitation in your voice, as if you didn’t want to ask for too much.
“You don’t have to hold back,” he said softly.
You shook your head, reassuring him, “I mean it, Sicheng. You’re always working so hard; I just want you to rest.”
Sicheng’s eyes softened. If there was ever a time for you to ask for anything, it was now, your anniversary of all days. Reaching out, he brushed the backs of his fingers along your cheek, your smile putting him more at ease. “Honestly? Seeing you smile is what makes me relax when I’m tired. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to make that happen.”
He thought back to when your relationship had first become public, some fans were supportive, some fans were not. The two of you saw some of your worst days, the only people to depend on for support was each other. But through it all, you’d both stayed strong, and now here you were, closer than ever.
“Besides, I can rest anytime,” he murmured, as he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you closer.
You chuckled and leaned forward, planting a gentle kiss on his forehead. “Well, I’m really happy that I can help you relax.”
Seeing the happiness on your face, he made up his mind—he’d plan something extraordinary for your anniversary, something that would bring that same beautiful smile to your face, even if you hadn’t asked for it.
The next morning, as Sicheng watered his plants, he found himself lingering by the peonies, their delicate petals reminding him of you. Maybe a bouquet would be a sweet anniversary gift? It wasn’t flashy, but it was heartfelt, and he couldn’t help but picture the smile it might bring to your face. As he absentmindedly watered the flowers, his thoughts drifted back to last night. You’d tried to be considerate, downplaying any big celebration just so he could rest. But he wanted you to feel comfortable expressing what you really wanted, even if he had a surprise up his sleeve.
That afternoon, after another agonizing day at that entertainment company, Sicheng made his way to a cozy flower shop owned by a friend’s family. The warm, fragrant air and the sight of bright blossoms felt like a haven from his hectic schedule. A new part-timer greeted him. He immediately recognized her as the new Thai-Chinese female trainee Ten had introduced to her a while back. Sherlisa. That was her name. With a smile, she asked what he was looking for.
“You want a bouquet of roses?” she asked, a curious smile forming from her lips. “That’s a little unexpected.”
Sicheng nodded, almost shyly. Meeting someone from work outside of work hours was awkward for him, especially it being a 19 year old trainee. He was glad dispatch had laid off his back for a while, since he hadn’t seen anyone following him around lately. “It’s for our anniversary. I just… I want Y/N to know what she means to me.”
Her eyes sparkled mischievously. “Oh, so you mean you’re ready to tell her you’re madly in love?”
Sicheng chuckled, glancing down at the counter. It was more than that, though. His thoughts returned to you, the way you’d changed his life without even trying. "My life already belongs to her," he murmured softly, more to himself than anyone else.
When he looked up, Sherlisa’s jaw had dropped a bit. “Damn boy, I knew you were whipped, but I didn’t think you were that whipped. If you’re serious about what you just said then that’s pretty much a proposal.”
“A Proposal?” He’d been so absorbed in the idea of making you happy that he hadn’t considered that. But now that it was out there, the thought settled in his heart with unexpected warmth as he started reflecting over his feelings.
“You want to live your life for her, right?,” Sherlisa added knowingly. “So maybe… make it a bouquet she’ll never forget?”
He could only smile, the decision suddenly clear. “Yeah… you’re right.” Picturing you in his mind, his heart swelled with certainty. Yeah, that’s basically what he wanted to tell her, yes. Ever since the two of you became a couple, his feelings for you have just grown stronger inside of his heart.
“Sherlisa,” he said, his voice steady and sure. “I need to change the number of roses in that bouquet.”
That night, Sicheng found himself outside your room again, his heart beating a little faster than usual as he knocked.
You smiled at him as you opened the door. “What’s up, Sicheng?”
He cleared his throat, trying to keep his composure. “I wanted to invite you out on a date.”
Your eyes widened, a flush creeping up your cheeks. “A date?” You sounded a little surprised, and it was so endearing that he had to resist the urge to throw his arms around you right then and there.
“Yeah… how about this? We’ll meet in front of SME on our anniversary, and then head somewhere special.” He hadn’t worked out every detail yet, but he had some ideas—something that would make this a night to remember.
“That sounds amazing,” you replied, a bit of hesitation still in your voice. “But… are you sure you’re not too busy?”
He gave you a gentle pat on the head, watching as your smile softened. “Don’t worry. I’ve made sure there’s nothing that could keep me from you that day.”
“All right, then! I’m excited already,” you said, beaming up at him. But, truth be told, it was him who could hardly contain his anticipation.
Leaning in close, he brushed his lips near your ear, his voice dropping to a warm murmur. “And make sure you don’t have any other plans that night, either.”
“O-Of course,” you stammered, your cheeks turning even pinker. Despite how long you two had been together, his spontaneous displays of affection always seemed to catch you off guard.
He smiled, brushing his lips over your flushed cheek in a quick, sweet kiss. “Good night, Y/N,” he whispered, pulling back reluctantly. As he turned to leave, a rush of excitement filled him, and he couldn’t help feeling excited about your anniversary already.
The next night, Sicheng made his way to a quiet pub tucked away from the bustling city. It was the kind of place he only went to for close friends— and this one he hadn’t seen in a while. As he entered, he spotted Jaehyun already waiting at the bar, nursing a drink and giving him a casual nod.
“Thanks for meeting me,” Sicheng said, sliding onto the seat beside him.
Jaehyun chuckled. “Anytime. Besides, I needed a night out myself.” He reached into his bag and handed Sicheng a small, glass vial filled with a clear, shimmering liquid. “Here’s the…potion, chemical—whatever you want to call it. If you put it on the flowers, they’ll stay fresh and won’t wilt forever.”
Sicheng took the vial, a wave of relief washing over him. “Thanks, Jae. Really.”
Jaehyun glanced at him curiously, eyebrows raised. “I’ve gotta ask…what’s with the magical flower potion request? You’re usually not the type to go all out on that kind of thing.”
Sicheng hesitated for a moment before taking a steadying breath. “I’m going to propose. To Y/N.”
Jaehyun’s eyes widened, nearly spilling his drink. “Propose? As in, marry?” He was definitely shocked, but within seconds, a smile spread across his face. “Sicheng, that’s amazing! I didn’t know you were thinking about it. Congratulations, man!”
Sicheng couldn’t help but smile back, the nerves mixing with excitement in his chest. “Thanks. I’ve thought it over so much lately. And this just…feels right.”
Jaehyun laughed, patting him on the back. “I always thought you’d be one of the last guys in our group to settle down, but it looks like love changes people.” He shook his head, looking impressed. “She must be really special.”
“She is,” Sicheng replied softly, picturing you in his mind. “She’s been with me through everything—the highs and the lows. She’s the one person I want by my side, no matter what.”
Jaehyun raised his glass with a warm smile. “Then here’s to you, man. And to Y/N. May she say yes and make you the happiest guy in the world.”
Sicheng lifted his own glass, clinking it with Jaehyun’s. “Here’s to hoping.”
As they drank, Sicheng felt a new sense of confidence settling over him. The night was filled with laughter, memories, and stories of the past. He had never imagined that his friends would be this supportive during one of the biggest moments of his life, and Jaehyun’s unwavering encouragement made him feel more ready than ever for the step he was about to take.
With renewed determination, he tucked the vial carefully into his pocket, knowing it would be the final touch to make his proposal perfect.
It was finally here—your anniversary. Sicheng’s heart raced the entire evening, each little detail of your date building up to this moment. Dinner had been perfect, and when you’d discovered that new cafe for dessert, your face lit up with excitement, making him feel like he’d already succeeded. But the real surprise was waiting back home.
“That dessert was amazing,” you said, still smiling as you unlocked the door.
“I’m glad you liked it,” he replied, unable to keep the excitement out of his voice.
As you stepped inside and turned on the lights, you froze, eyes going wide at the sight of a massive bouquet of roses waiting for you on the table. “Oh my gosh!” you gasped, looking between the flowers and Sicheng with an expression of pure delight. “There are so many!”
Sicheng couldn’t help but smile; you were reacting exactly as he’d imagined, if not better. He stepped forward, picking up the bouquet, the roses almost spilling out of his arms. “Today’s the anniversary of the day we became a couple.”
“Yes…” You looked up at him, eyes softening as a sentimental smile crossed your face.
He took a deep breath, his heart pounding. He had been thinking about this moment for days now, planning and preparing. This was it. “Did you know that giving someone 108 roses means asking them, ‘Will you marry me?’”
Your smile faded as you froze, eyes widening even more as you processed what he’d just said.
“I love you so much it makes me crazy,” he continued, his voice filled with emotion. “Since the day I met you, everything I do has been about making you happy. Being with you… it’s everything I’ve ever wanted. He held out the bouquet which was practically overflowing from his arms, his voice soft yet steady. “So, will you accept this and say yes?”
Tears sparkled in your eyes as you reached out, fingers slightly trembling. “Yes, of course!” You took the bouquet from him, clutching it close to your chest, your smile radiant with joy.
Your eyes shimmered with tears, and Sicheng felt his heart swell. This was exactly the reaction he’d hoped for—a sign that you felt the depth of his love.
You lifted the bouquet, inhaling the sweet fragrance. “They’re gorgeous, and they smell amazing… I wish I could keep them forever, so I’d always remember this day.”
He smiled, feeling the joy bubbling inside him. “You can.”
Your eyes widened, puzzled. “What do you mean?”
He chuckled softly. “Those roses were treated with a special potion to keep them from wilting. They’ll stay just as beautiful… forever.”
“Wait, seriously?” You gasped, looking back at the bouquet with a mixture of wonder and disbelief. Almost like a kid in a toy store. “So they’ll stay like this, and I can keep them forever?”
“Yes.” Your cheeks slowly turned the same deep pink as the rose petals, and he took a step closer, cupping your face in his hands. “You sacrificed so much just to be with me,” he said, his voice tender. “I want to make all your dreams come true, no matter how small they are. Even if you wish for something as simple as a flower, I want to give it to you. I want to give you everything.”
You gazed up at him, emotions swirling in your tear-filled eyes. “Sicheng…”
“I want to spend the rest of my life making up for anything you’ve lost,” he whispered. “Because you’re the person I’ve been searching for all along. And I want to stay by your side forever, just so I can remind you every day how much I love you.”
He pulled you gently into his arms, holding you close. Your head rested against his chest, and he could feel the warmth of your embrace, the quiet joy that had always connected you two.
Sicheng felt as if his heart might burst. He gently cupped your face, his eyes filled with a sincerity that spoke louder than words. "I love you more than anyone in the entire world,” he murmured. It was rare for him to voice his feelings so openly, but tonight, they poured out effortlessly, the depth of his love shining through in every word.
A warm smile spread across your face, and you whispered, “I love you too, Sicheng. So please… stay with me forever.”
“Of course I will,” he replied softly, his gaze steady.
As you gazed into each other’s eyes, you felt the air grow thicker with a shared warmth. Unable to resist any longer, he leaned in, pressing his lips softly against yours. The kiss was gentle but full of promises, and when he pulled back, he took the bouquet from your arms, setting it carefully on the table.
Without a word, he swept you up into his arms, drawing a startled laugh from you. “Sicheng?” you whispered, cheeks flushed.
He grinned, feeling a sense of boldness he rarely indulged. “I want to see your smile from closer up.” Your scent drifted up to him, light and sweet like the roses you’d been holding, and he couldn’t help but lean in, nuzzling his nose against your cheek.
Your cheeks turned pink, and you wrapped your arms around his neck. “O-Okay…”
“Good girl,” he whispered, feeling your heart beating wildly against him as he carried you to the bed. As he gently lowered you down, you hesitated, fingers slowly releasing their hold on his neck. He brushed a soft kiss on your cheek, his fingertips trailing over your face and down to your lips.
He leaned in, voice barely above a whisper. “I want to see you the happiest you’ve ever been.” His fingers caressed your cheek, moving to your slightly parted lips. “Tell me what you want, and I’ll do it for you.”
You gazed up at him, your breath warm on his cheek. “You’ll do anything?” you murmured, an unmistakable glint of joy in your eyes.
“Yes,” he replied, his voice filled with certainty. “Name it.”
Your eyes dipped down shyly, and after a brief moment, you said softly, “Okay… I want you to stroke my hair.”
A soft chuckle escaped him, and he nodded, his fingers gently combing through your hair. You closed your eyes, your expression melting into one of pure happiness. “Your hands… they’re so big and gentle,” you whispered, your voice almost dreamlike. “I love them.”
He smiled, his heart swelling. “I’m glad to hear that.” He continued to run his fingers through your hair, brushing a tender kiss on your forehead. “Anything else?”
You looked up at him, your gaze softened with affection. “I want you to kiss me…”
His lips curved into a warm smile, and he leaned down, his mouth finding yours in a tender, lingering kiss. The world faded away, leaving only the two of you in this perfect, quiet moment, wrapped up in each other. He kissed you again, and again, savoring each touch, feeling his love deepen with every brush of his lips against yours. Your breath hitched, and he could feel the echo of his heartbeat mirrored in you.
He was yours, eternally yours. He’d spend his life by your side, sharing each joy, every little moment, every kiss, forever and always.

[ author's note ! ] this may or may not have been inspired by my crush that later turned out to be an asshole..... but uh sicheng in a shirt<3

stepping into your dance class, you gnawed at your lower lip nervously. the other people were already here, waving at you.
“hi, how you’ve been?” one of them – yeri – asked, tilting her head. you knew her the best out of the group but you wouldn’t call her a friend yet.
“good! and you?” you asked, walking up to her. yeri tucked a strand that fell out of her ponytail and just smiled.
“me too. i’m excited for today’s class, and you?” she tilted her head and pointed at the instructor “he dressed up, didn’t he?”
shyly looking over, you nodded. it was no secret sicheng, your dance instructor, was attractive. last class, when you just had a choreography to learn, he had black sweatpants on and a t-shirt with something on it.
today, however… since you were about to learn tango, he had an elegant outfit on. his black shoes shone in the light of the training room, even his hair slicked back subtly.
“you’re blushing” yeri nudged your elbow and you grunted, looking back at her. you missed the way sicheng smiled at you.
“how is everyone today?” sicheng asked, his voice smooth as honey sending chills down your spine.
you signed up for the dance class to finally learn something other than drunk dancing while clubbing. it was supposed to be fun and relaxing. but you never would have thought that you’d fall deep for the dance instructor. he was literally sent from heaven: handsome, charming, gentle… and on top of that, he had a fashion sense and could dance well? how on earth was he not taken yet? (you knew he’s single – yeri stalked him after the first class and came to such a conclusion, and you decided to trust her).
you noticed his gaze lingered on you a little longer when everyone hummed or nodded.
“i’m happy to see you today. as promised, i’ll teach you tango basics. and if you like it, we can continue during next class as well” sicheng smiled sweetly and walked up to the mirror, back facing you “let’s warm up”
yeri chuckled and you followed the instructions. your dance class consisted of a bunch of girls and even less boys, mostly university students just like you. but you probably were the oldest anyway.
when sicheng finished with the warmup, you were in awe how he looked so effortless - you were already starting to struggle a bit and your hair got messed up from all the jumping. but he looked flawless.
“okay, now i would like you to pair up” he hummed and you immediately faced yeri. she shot you a grin and bowed dramatically.
“my lady” she chuckled. the pairs were soon formed, waiting curiously for the next instructions. sicheng was facing you now, slowly walking back and fourth.
“tango is a sensual dance, it’s all about closeness to your partner. most of the time, the woman does all of the work” he nodded and looked around “two very important things: remember to keep your backs straight and knees slightly bent”
“this is gonna be so awkward” you joked quietly and he turned around once again. maybe you were imagining things but you thought he looked at you through the mirror.
“now, the first steps. let’s start slow and steady” sicheng instructed and showed the steps.
just like he said, his back was as straight as a ruler and knees bent. he kept his hands glued to his chest to highlight the posture. you observed his footwork closely, paying attention to which leg should move first.
his moves were smooth, water-alike, and flowy. you were in awe, shaking your head.
“how on earth am i supposed to do that?” you whispered and heard his small scoff.
“now try repeating after me. your partner should start from the opposite leg” he encouraged. and surprisingly, you managed to catch pretty quickly. observing his movements all the time, you mirrored them. he was also going slow and counting the steps.
after a short while, when everyone seemed to understand, sicheng started walking around the room to monitor the moves closely. in the meantime, he also played tango music.
“if you feel confident already, you can try it in pairs. remember about your knees and back! also, the man should grab his partner’s hand and the other should be on her arm” sicheng announced and approached one pair, fixing their pose. your back was facing him as you and yeri started trying the steps in pair.
“he’s so into you” she snickered quietly, grabbing your hand gently.
“stop saying that, im going to be delusional” you giggled in response, trying to focus on the steps. but it wasn’t that easy when you had to start from the other foot, having the woman’s position in the pair.
you were so focused on your feet doing it right that you haven’t noticed sicheng was observing you two.
“i feel like im not doing something right” you laughed and looked up, eyes widening when you saw his smiling face.
“may i?” he asked and you froze. yeri whipped her head and let go of you, letting him take her spot. you realized he’s still waiting for you answer.
“oh, oh! you mean like… yes, sure!” you stuttered and he walked up, taking yeri’s spot.
his hands were larger and more calloused than hers but his touch was as tender as hers. he held you gently, the hand on your arm spreading warmth all over your body.
“yeri did well but let me show you were was the feeling of a mistake. follow me. one, two… mhm, here you just sway on that leg” he explained, leading you. it felt all natural, you just succumbed to his instructions. you kept staring at his feet, wanting to remember what he was doing – but also you knew that if you looked him in the face, you’d turn fierce red. “and here’s the deal: when you do another step, you don’t just move your feet. you drag it slowly, like this”
“ooooh, it makes sense!” yeri cheered.
you copied what he did.
“exactly like this. now let’s go from the beginning” sicheng’s words blended with the music. you kept your gaze glued to his black, shiny shoes– “look at me, y/n. you have to look at your partner”
you scrunched your nose and rose your head up, remembering to straighten your back. the proximity hit you, his face was closer than you thought it would be.
“i, i know. it’s just that i’m, you know… not lost when im looking at my feet” you explained nervously, almost forced to look into his ebony eyes. sicheng just sent you a warm smile.
“you’re not lost now, though. you need to feel the music, feel your partner. it will come naturally” he hummed and you realized you’re following his lead, legs working on their own.
you kept looking in his eyes, blush spreading on your face. feeling as if it was just you, him… and the training room turned into a ballroom.
“you got it. good job” sicheng grinned and let go of you, snapping you out of the trance. “yeri, im giving you back your dance partner”
“about time” she teased and only when he walked away to approach the other couple, you and yeri started giggling. “you got so red!”
“shut up!”
“no, literally, he’s so into you! the way he looked at you… and you are the only one who he sanded with, he only says what you need to fix… oh i’m sick!” yeri whined dramatically and you just slapped her arm.
the class came to an end, sicheng turned off the music to bid goodbye.
“you all did really well! do you want to continue tango next week?” he asked, scanning your reactions. most of the people nodded and he just smiled in response.
“duh!” yeri grinned, saying loudly. tango meant more close encounters, so she was ready to sacrifice her time for you to get closer to sicheng.
“i’m glad to hear you’re so enthusiastic. so you next week then” he crossed his arms, swaying a bit on his legs. you were about to leave, when you heard his voice again “y/n, do you mind staying for a minute?”
yeri exchanged shocked looks with you and then just winked, running off.
“yeah, sure, no problem” you answered, a bit shocked he knows your name. well… it’s not like he has to, right?
when everyone left, he walked up to you a bit closer. his ebony eyes looked at you softly, a gentle smile adorning his lips.
“you did really good today, you know” he hummed and you nodded.
“thank you” you said, almost whispered.
“i just… hm, how do i put this…” sicheng hesitated and chuckled “i think you’re really cute”
“what?” your eyes widened, looking at his face in shock.
“yeah. despite getting shy often you still manage to show confidence in your moves. and, well, you’re cute as in… just… shit” he laughed nervously and that was the first time you’ve seen him break his stoic facade “would you like to go on a date? maybe a coffee after class or a dinner. if you want to”
so yeri was right.
“of course. i’d love to, i really would” you grinned and saw a wave of relief wash over his face “as long as we don’t have to dance, i’d still be intimidated”
“let’s leave that for another time” he sent you a smug smile. scoffing, you couldn’t help the wide grin from growing.
“let’s grab a coffee this weekend, hm?” you asked, a sudden wave of bravery taking over you “you can give me your number, we can, uh… establish the details later”
“sure” sicheng answered.
after exchanging numbers, you waved goodbye to him. he had another class waiting for him. he was looking at you, whipped.
“see you soon, then!” you smiled and walked away a bit dramatically, in the step pattern you just learned.
sicheng couldn’t help but giggle, not quite still believing that it just happened.

don't wanna break up again | dong sicheng
Tumblr media
actor!dong sicheng x singer!femreader
synopsis. love and sicheng don't complement each other. despite being aware of that fact, it doesn’t stop you from coming back again and again, even if your set-up consumes you. or, sicheng and you are in an on and off situationship because he’s afraid of commitment.
genre. angst, romance (if there's any LOL), situationship
warnings. excessive use of the word "manager", reader wears contacts at some point, they have UNSPOKEN FEELINGS (mainly sicheng), industry pressure, toxic relationship (i mean, situationship </3)
words. 5,882
eternal sunshine. masterlist
Tumblr media
it started on a red carpet, where you’d been cornered by a journalist asking about your upcoming album. sicheng was standing nearby, his black suit sharp and his gaze sharper. when he glanced your way, it felt like the world shifted. later, you found yourself seated next to him at an afterparty, where the conversation flowed like an unscripted duet.
“so, do singers always write about their own heartbreaks?” he teased, a faint smirk playing on his lips.
“only the memorable ones,” you replied, meeting his eyes with a challenge of your own and a smile that could melt the world.
you didn’t know it then, but he’d leave you with more than enough material.
Tumblr media
it’s been two weeks since that interaction you’ve had with the industry’s most sought after actor. you’ve heard all the good things about sicheng. how he’s shy in real life and he’s cool on camera. but you believed that that simply can’t be true.
but you also believed he’s hot and now you’re here, composing a song while thinking about that small interaction with him. you don’t know where this song would go or if this would even be published, but one thing’s for sure: no one would even know that this song is for him.
“then i had this interaction i’ve been thinking about for like five weeks,” your manager read your lyrics, cringing at them after. “what the hell is this, y/n?”
“what? a girl can’t love or something?” you sighed, putting your ballpen down and waiting for another comment about the song you’re writing. “it’s about the guy.”
“yeah! i know it’s about the guy. and i’m pretty sure that you know that if you get tangled with him, the scandal is going to be big, right?” your manager sighed. you can tell that just by thinking about how much paperworks and apology letters you guys are gonna write, if ever, if ever you and sicheng ‘would’ have some romantic escapade, your manager’s hair would wither and he’d definitely not appreciate that.
“it’s just a song! and i don’t stand a chance with that big star. he’s probably dating an a-lister actress or something,” you replied. “like probably… he’s dating that lead actress of eternal sunshine! the nepo baby! y’know… their chemistry’s unmatched,”
“ooh, yeah! i’m actually excited to watch that series because i’ve seen the interviews! oh my god they look so good together,” this time, your manager sat beside you, gushing about how sicheng and his lead partner look good together and how much he thinks that eternal sunshine would be a hit.
“now you’re making me sad,” you pouted, the thought of not having a chance with a big shot actor hurts you more than not winning song of the year against iu. “i even made the title track of their series based off of the story and some real life happenings in the set,” you grinned, ready to tell your manager the tea you got off of the set of eternal sunshine back when you were invited by the director.
you weren’t able to see sicheng before because he had other gigs, but the rest of the cast were there, filming the other scenes that didn’t require the actor.
“you know, oppa, i mean… who am i kidding? everyone knows qian kun, right?” you started to over exaggerate, “apparently, he likes the director! and everyone in the set knows it… and the director’s kinda shy about it.”
“honestly? if the golden boy qian kun likes me? i’ll marry him immediately.”
“if it were you. but the director feels a bit insecure because kun’s perfect and all. but i do believe they look good together!”
“and how did you get this information?”
“liu yangyang. eternal sunshine’s second male lead, the one who’s gonna get dumped in the end,” you stopped the sentence but your manager knew you’re about to dump the biggest, scandalous tea about the man, “but in real life, i heard he dumped dong sicheng’s lead partner.”
“if i’m being honest? sicheng and that nepo baby’s chemistry is better than yangyang’s and her. but i do see some reason why they would hit off.”
“no, oppa. you don’t get it, do you?” you sighed, “yangyang worked his ass off in this industry, the nepo baby got it because of her parents! sure, she acts well… but y’know, their vision in life might be different… maybe that’s why they didn’t become a real couple,”
“how about hendery? is he really handsome in person?” your manager curiously asked, “i heard he’s a real asshole.”
“damn right, he is! that man didn’t even acknowledge me nor the staff! he just went straight to the student nurse who was interning during the film to get some paracetamols i’m pretty sure he doesn’t need,”
“so, hendery’s hot and an asshole. got it,”
“and dejun… we made eye contact but that’s really it! he’s so afraid of human touch. but he’s so handsome too. even more handsome than hendery and i can feel that he treats everyone nicely, he’s just afraid of being too close,”
“you got all these crazy juices just from one visit on the set and it was enough for you to write eternal sunshine. your talent scares me sometimes,” you can’t really tell if your manager was complimenting you or is weirded out by how well you remember the facts the staff have told you during your time inside the set as well as your own perceptions of every actor in it but you’d take it positively because you do agree that eternal sunshine has some interesting talents in it.
“oh! before i forget, you know that award-winning photojournalist, right? ten lee? apparently, he’s exes with sicheng’s makeup artist and his award-winning piece was a picture of her when they were still together! that’s the kind of part i got inspired to write eternal sunshine, as well as the storyline.”
“they’re not together now?”
“yeah, but it’s so weird because you can feel the tension and i think it’d be even weirder now because they’re wrapping up the first season and ten has to get the interesting bits while the makeup artist has to make sure sicheng is the interesting bit.”
“i can tell that you enjoyed your time there, y/n. but you better not tell anyone these or they will be in deep trouble.”
“i know! i just had to let it out to you because i know you love those actor rumours and stuff,” you rolled your eyes to your manager, already used to him warning you about getting in trouble from time to time.
when he left, you immediately continued composing your song about you and sicheng’s interaction, acting like it went to something even more special.
“i hope i can see him again…” you took a deep breath, looking at the paper you’re writing on, wishing to see and talk to him again.
Tumblr media
you heard whispers that sicheng would attend the music festival you were headlining in but you never really took it seriously, considering the busy schedules he probably have because of eternal sunshine. but deep down, you wished he would come and see you perform… maybe he’d talk to you again and maybe he’d be interested in you.
as the sun was setting over the vibrant landscape of the music festival, you stood at the stage, taking a deep breath before looking into the crowd. of course, you were admiring your fans who came all the way from different cities just to see you but you were also hoping to see him. and that, you did.
you could swore it was the most romantic thing ever because he was also looking into your eyes and when your orbs met? you saw a glint of something behind his glance… or maybe it was just your contacts.
the music started and you sang one of your greatest hits, everytime, pouring your heart and soul into performing because it’s a song that you can definitely relate to now. ‘i hope he remembers me,’ you thought while singing, hyping the audience up to sing with you.
“why, oh why does god keep bringing me back to you?” you sang looking directly at sicheng who’s also looking at you with something you can’t put into words. you couldn’t really tell what it is that you saw in his eyes when you were performing because he’s with his friends a bit farther on the stage but at least, you could see him.
after your performance, your manager quickly led you to your dressing room where your staff quickly went near you to take off some of the heavy makeup, replacing it with some blush and lip balm so you could comfortably watch and enjoy the festival.
“y/n, change into this outfit,” one of the staff said, giving you an outfit that is extremely better than the ones you have right now. you just nodded in agreement before going to the comfort room where you changed.
“feel comfortable now?” your manager asked, giving you a water bottle. “i saw sicheng watching you! he looks so into your performance earlier, y/n,” he added.
you could tell he was teasing you but you didn’t care. you performed your best out there because he was watching.
“it was just eye contact, oppa,”
before your manager could respond back to you, a familiar figure towered you from behind and judging his reaction, it was the person you least expect to be in your dressing room right now.
“oh, sicheng! what brings you here?”
“can i talk to y/n?” his voice was humble, gentle, and comforting. you could melt then and there when you felt his breath from your back.
your manager gave you a reassuring smile, patted your shoulder, before giving the room all to you and sicheng.
‘this is it,’ you thought. the man you’ve been crushing over for at least a month now, behind you. now, you guys are alone in your dressing room but you can’t even try to look at him without feeling nervous.
“hi, y/n,” he started.
“sicheng! so glad to see you here! i almost thought you forgot about me,” you sheepishly blabbered. this time, you faced him.
and you almost died.
the man standing in front of you is the hottest human being ever and people around you would definitely agree if you told them that sicheng is not just a random actor. he is the actor.
“you were great out there,” he smiled, “it’s one of my favorite songs of yours,”
“i’m glad you like it! i had fun writing it last year,”
he leaned against the wall, looking relaxed yet attentive. “so, which one of your exes inspired you to write that?” he caught you off-guard with his teasing remark, reminding you of your first encounter with each other.
“what’s with you and my exes? are you interested in them?”
“i’m just curious how they fumbled someone like you,” he shot back with a charming smile.
“flattery won’t get you anywhere, sicheng,” you laughed and tried to shake off what he had just said. “some things just don’t work out, you know,”
sicheng just nodded to what you have just said, “try it with me?”
this time, you scoffed, “you’re an actor, i’m a singer. that’s like… a recipe for disaster.”
“i’d be in any disaster as long as i’m with you, y/n,” he retorted, eyes staring deeply into your orbs as he waited for your response.
“whatever, sicheng,” you rolled your eyes, smiling lightly before your manager entered your dressing room again.
when your manager entered the room, you looked into sicheng’s direction, as if to signal that his time with you is over and he took that as a sign to give you a short farewell.
“see you soon, y/n,” was all he said before vanishing into the endless hallways of the festival’s backstage.
your manager’s looking at you with that stupid grin on his face, “so? what happened here and why do you look like you’ve seen a ghost? you got turned off or what?”
“woah there, buddy. calm down with those questions, will you?”
but he couldn’t really stop smiling from your interaction with sicheng again. afterall, these days you’ve been thinking about the actor nonstop.
“he wanted me to try to play the game of love with him. to be in a relationship with him, i guess?” this time, your manager smiled even wider, waiting for you to continue. “stop looking at me like a creepy man,”
“you know what this means right, y/n?” he started, “to have one of the most popular actors talk to you after your performance,”
“yeah dude, it means they want to get in my pants!” you replied annoyingly.
“or you could’ve maintained the innocent route and answered, ‘oh! it means he’s interested in me!’” your manager mocked your voice to prove a point with both of his index and middle finger doing the air quote-unquote symbol.
“i know…” you whined, “but what if we won’t work out? what if we end up like those songs i wrote about heartbreaks?”
but your manager could only give you a reassuring tap on your shoulder, “then write another song about it,”
Tumblr media
your manager is actually right.
at this point in time, you might write another song about a heartbreak. it’s been months now, since that dressing room interaction with sicheng and after it, you found yourself entangled with the actor. in every place you never thought about, actually!
“still waiting for him?” the lead actress asked you.
right, you’re in the filming site right now, waiting for sicheng because he told you to come to his apartment later. you decided it was better for the both of you to come at the same time so as to prevent suspicion from the public eye. afterall, your manager is already stressed when you inform him about the situation with sicheng now.
“yeah, i am. how’s the filming going?” you tried to make a short conversation with the lead actress. even though the public has said countless bad comments about her, she’s actually nice and easygoing. and easygoing in a sense that this girl has probably never seen a bad guy in her life!
“sicheng’s been acting grumpy nowadays. i think it has to do with his dating rumour with karina,” she started, sitting beside you. “you know how those idol-actor rumour goes,”
you nodded. of course, you do know how those go considering you’ve had countless rumours with many men, some of them you didn’t know even existed. but sicheng’s is different because his company keeps on pushing him to do it, telling him it’s ‘good’ publicity.
before you and the lead actress of eternal sunshine could continue your conversation, sicheng and yangyang came into the picture. the latter gave you a gummy smile whilst signalling the lead actress to follow him. you assumed they have made up and are now in a relationship but you could only assume, sicheng doesn’t tell you stuff.
“let’s go,” sicheng gave you a half-smile before leading you to his van where yuta, his manager, has been waiting for the both of you.
“hello, yuta,” you greeted politely.
“hi, y/n. sorry if it took long for sicheng to wrap up tonight, it’s an important scene that the director wants to finish immediately,”
“you don’t need to tell her that, hyung. y/n understands, right?” the actor looked into your direction, giving you his charming smile.
you smiled back, giving him the satisfaction.
you will definitely write a song about this.
Tumblr media
it’s never ending, honestly. your nights with sicheng in his apartment. him cuddling you to sleep while helping you write lyrics then you begging him to spoil eternal sunshine just for the man to smirk at your pleading face before telling you to go to sleep.
it’s those nights that made you stay with what you guys have but on mornings, you would wake up alone in his bed, leaving you wondering where he might have gone.
on the first night he had left you alone, you waited until lunch for him to come home but he never did. you only realized that he had come to another filming site when your manager called you, worrying where’d you went the night before. then it happened again and again, urging you to tell your manager what really is happening but you couldn’t give an answer because the two of you haven’t talked about what you guys have right now.
“it’s been hard, oppa,” you started, sighing on the way home the next morning after your encounter with sicheng and yuta last night. “i can’t believe i’m letting him do this to me,”
“why don’t you ask him about your status? you just can’t keep on waking up alone in that bed if you guys have something going on,”
“i don’t want to pressure sicheng, especially now when things start to get stressful in his work,”
your manager sighed in disbelief, closing his eyes in disappointment to what you have just said. “you’re preparing for an album too, y/n. things are also stressful on your side,”
“he’s an actor, he has more things to think about than what we are,”
Tumblr media
you try to convince yourself that everything is okay. his texts grew shorter, his calls less frequent. hell, he rarely invites you on set. but when he’s with you? it was like he was a different person. soft, attentive, and present. he would make you dinner and tell you you’re the prettiest thing on earth, only to be left behind the morning after.
mornings with sicheng are nonexistent. it made you feel used, unloved, and sad. but asking him your label is more humiliating. you’re afraid of putting things into his mouth, afraid he might lose interest in you if you’ve ever asked him about the two of you.
you’re afraid to be too much for him.
but you’re only human and he’s pushing you to the edge now. you’ve been overwhelmed with your recording session earlier and sicheng has not replied to any of your messages, even after you finished recording–your phone still had no sign of him seeing your chats and replying to you.
after the grueling session with your manager inside the recording studio, you immediately left him to go at sicheng’s apartment, even if there’s a risk of getting caught by paparazzis. you just can’t help it now, you’re getting suffocated and confused and hurt. you’re getting every feeling you are not supposed to feel when in love.
you rang his doorbell for the nth time until a sleepy sicheng opened the door.
“do you even care about this?” if you weren’t tired and mad, you would’ve melted at his appearance now but your voice was trembling and your legs were shaking as he left you inside his apartment.
“what kind of question is that, y/n?” his voice was sleepy but his tone was defensive.
“the kind i have to ask because you never let me in,” now, your frustration is spilling over and your mind is not working right. “i’m always the one chasing you, sicheng! aren’t you tired of running from me? haven’t you thought about what i feel?”
for a moment, you thought he might say something to ease the ache in your chest. instead, he sighed and turned his back on you. “this is who i am, y/n. you agreed to be linked with someone like me in the first place. if i’m not enough for you, maybe you should leave,”
Tumblr media
the first break up was messy (like the other ones that followed). you tried to convince yourself that it was a mutual one but your manager, and everyone around you, didn’t believe you.
you remember the way back home, your manager picking you up crying at sicheng’s apartment parking lot. he bit his lip and ran his fingers through his hair before picking you up, telling you to shush and calm down but you never did. all you did that night was cry and ask your manager if you were not enough.
when your mind was kind of cleared, you realized that maybe distancing yourself to sicheng is for the better. afterall, you both had your careers and responsibilities. maybe being with an actor is really a disaster.
but the break up didn’t last like how you expected it to do. a few weeks later, he showed up to your apartment, which also counts as the first time he went there, after his schedule. he didn’t greet you with his calm and comforting demeanor like the first time, he was cold and unreadable–distant but pleading.
“i shouldn’t be here,” he admitted as you told him to come inside, “but i couldn’t stay away,”
and just like that, you were back in the loop. nights that felt like promises and mornings that broke you all over again.
“are you sure about this, y/n?” your manager oppa asked you.
“yeah! i feel him changing for the better, oppa,” you smiled brightly, eyes scanning the setlist for your upcoming concert.
“waking up with him beside you doesn’t count as change, y/n! you still haven’t asked him about what you guys are!” he scolded but you avoided his glance.
the truth is, you did. you asked again. it was inside your apartment this time. it was around december, when everything felt cold outside but inside felt even colder.
your head in sicheng’s lap as the both of you watched the latest episode of eternal sunshine. he was watching your reaction as kun’s character was being teased by the lead actress and hendery.
“sicheng,” you called.
“hmm?”
“are you ready?” you asked. unlike the last time where you had the guts to confront him, you didn’t have the courage to do so that night. you were afraid of what he had to say but you wanted to ask. you had to ask him.
“y/n…” he started, he was caressing your hair as if to comfort you but deep inside, you know it’s his conscience eating him up, “i’m sorry,”
you shouldn’t have asked.
it was humiliating but you can’t help the tears streaming down sicheng’s pajamas. you were crying while still in his lap. but what made you hurt more was him, raising the volume of the television just so he couldn’t hear you aching because of him.
you fell asleep with an achy heart that night. the day after, sicheng distanced himself from you, feeling ashamed of what he did. you guys did break up again that time but you didn’t have the guts to tell your manager because, like what you expected, the both of you reconciled again.
and then broke up, once more.
Tumblr media
when eternal sunshine’s director invited you to the set again, you were hesitant to come but your manager encouraged you to do so, saying something along the lines of ‘face your fears’ or something.
“hello, y/n! long time no see!” the director beamed at your presence, “i told sicheng to bring you here anytime but he never did! your presence is missed deeply,”
“oh… we kinda broke up,” you sheepishly said, the atmosphere now awkward. before the director could apologize, you quickly added “it’s not like there’s something to ‘break’ ‘cause there was never an us in the first place… but y’know,”
she gave you a sad smile, “it didn’t work out, huh?”
“he didn’t work it out with me,”
it was true. you tried your best to understand sicheng but every break up you guys had also made him even distant. sure, he was better than the first one–he would kiss your cheek, make you dinner and breakfast but everything felt empty. as if he was doing all those stuff to keep you to stay.
“anyways,” the director cleared her throat, “i called you here because i wanted to talk about the album you’re doing for season 1 and 2. i assume your manager has told you to have it finished by the exact time the last episode of season 1 airs?”
you nodded. even during the second break up that your manager didn’t know, he made you aware of the album situation with eternal sunshine. the ost you made became a hit that everyone is demanding another song from you for the series however, both parties agreed that an album would be beneficial for you and the drama.
you couldn’t say no to your manager, especially when he looked so ecstatic telling you about the opportunity. music was your escape, but during those times it was tying you even closer to the man you couldn’t let go of.
Tumblr media
making an album for the drama also includes you visiting the set just so you could get the vibes, to make it as close to the characters as possible.
“y/n-ssi! dejun made cookies and he said this is for you,” qian kun warmly acknowledged your presence before giving you the cookies dejun had made, “he said it’s for you. he hopes that he can cheer you up with these,”
“oh, thank you, kun! i hope to see him next time to give thanks personally,” you gladly accepted the cookies and yangyang joined in your conversation.
“that won’t happen, noona! dejun always disappears after his scenes so he’s not really close to anyone except the cast,” yangyang butted in, picking a cookie from your stash. “yum!”
“yangyang!” kun tried to scold the younger man but he already dashed off to where the director was, discussing the next scene.
“have you tried to make a move on the director yet, kun?” you teased, knowing that he had been trying to make a move, it’s just that the director keeps on dodging his advances.
“trust me, y/n. i’ve been trying,” he sounded so helpless you almost saw you in him, when you were still a mess. “he’s coming,”
kun warned you but it couldn’t prepare you to see sicheng again, after a month. you vividly remember that time when you guys reconciled but called it off again after a week. this is the first time you’re seeing him again as you were determined to not meet him when visiting the filming site.
“long time no see, y/n-ssi,”
and it hurt you more than the break ups you had with him.
Tumblr media
the album, also titled eternal sunshine, became your most personal work. each track was a piece of your heart laid bare as well as the cast’s personal stories they had disclosed to you, but one song in particular, don’t wanna break up again, resonated louder than the rest. it was raw. it was everything you wanted to say put into a song. every lyric was a plea you can’t say aloud.
when the album was released alongside the last episodes of the series, it was an instant hit. interviews came pouring in, but the questions were never just about the music. everyone wanted to know who the music was for.
“so, y/n! it’s been so long!” the host greeted you, “the song, don’t wanna break up again, is incredibly emotional! everyone was hooked! can you possibly tell us what inspired you to write such a heart wrenching song?”
you hesitated for a moment, your chest tightening. a particular name was aching to be let out by your mouth but you swallowed it down. you smiled forcefully, like what the management had trained you before when you were still a trainee. “it’s about loving someone who pushes you into your limit, thinking you’re too much for them,” you said every word carefully, “that even though they’re making you feel all the bad stuff, you still hold onto them–like a cycle of losing and wanting,”
“sounds personal,” the interviewer teased, wanting to pry just a little more. “is it based on your own experience?”
your throat felt dry, but you gracefully replied, “i think it’s fitting for eternal sunshine, actually! but i think everyone’s been through something like that,”
but not everyone had a sicheng. not everyone had nights where love was promised and mornings where it shattered into pieces.
Tumblr media
the thing you have been dreading to happen, happened. your fans caught up to everything. the media caught up.
the speculation began online after the wrapping up press conference of the cast where they were singing your album’s tracks. the part where they were singing don’t wanna break up again trended like wildfire that everyone talked about for weeks… because they were singing it straight into sicheng’s face.
clues were pieced together. from your social media posts, sicheng’s cryptic interviews, to his unusual behavior while everyone was singing your song.
to your fans, it made total sense. this was your most personal album and everything you and sicheng had been saying on your separate interviews during the ‘plotted’ timeline, as what they have been saying on x, connected with each other.
“GUYS! do you remember when sicheng was wearing a hoodie oddly similar to y/n’s and then us finding out it was custom-made?” one fan tweeted, garnering thousands of likes.  “‘we both know this time, so we say goodbye’ y/n REALLY got in the studio, wrote THIS, and thought we wouldn’t figure it out. sis, you played yourself,” another one butted in.  “‘this situationship has to end but i just can't refuse’ i KNOW this line has sicheng pacing around his living room rn. he’s probably listening to it on repeat like the rest of us but for HIM it’s personal.”
“this is bad, y/n! everyone’s linking you to sicheng,” stress is an understatement if you were to describe your manager right now, answering calls and texts here and there.
“if this was months ago, i would’ve loved all of these, won’t i?” you teased, remembering the time you imagined your manager’s hair withering from the stress a dating scandal with sicheng would bring him, not thinking it would become real.
soon, you and sicheng became a hot topic together, with the netizens creating video edits pairing scenes from eternal sunshine with snippets of your performances. every lyric from that song of yours was scrutinized, with don’t wanna break up again becoming the anthem of the speculation.
it was only a matter of time a fearless journalist popped the question, “your fans are convinced that the song is about a certain actor. do you have any comments on that?”
that wasn’t part of the question list they have submitted on your management prior to this interview so you were taken a back. you looked at the side to see your manager’s eyebrows knitted together, completely disappointed to the journalist. “i think art speaks for itself, it’s up for the listener to interpret it,” you replied, giving the journalist a kind smile.
“but doesn’t it make you uncomfortable, knowing that everyone is connecting your song to someone specific?” it seems like a kind smile won’t falter this journalist’s pressing questions.
“heartbreak is universal. the details don’t matter as much as the emotions,”
behind close doors, however, the attention was harder to ignore. your team advised you to avoid addressing the rumours and apologized for the inconvenience the journalist had caused earlier.
“it’s fine, it’s not like everyone expected for that to happen, brushing off their concern.
despite the media buzzing over the possible ‘biggest’ dating rumour ever in the industry, sicheng and his management remained silent. it stung you deeply, for him, someone you loved dearly, to not go against his management rules and defend you. but what’s there for him to defend about?
his management, so quick to fabricate a public romance with karina to boost his movie, now met the storm with a calculated indifference. no denial, no defense–just the old school silence, hoping it will die down after a day or so. as if you were just a fleeting rumour unworthy of their acknowledgement.
sadly, the buzz grew when photos surfaced of the two of you entering sicheng’s apartment. you think it was that night when you were overwhelmed with everything that you just stormed out of your recording booth to ask him. thankfully, the photo didn’t show you and sicheng’s face but with the silhouette? it was clear that it was the both of you.
Tumblr media
one evening, after another press junket, you found yourself face-to-face with sichang again. he’d been avoiding you per his management’s request but here he is, leaning against the wall of your dressing room.
it was like the first meeting again. when he asked you out.
“the album,” he started. his voice was softer than you expected, making you remember the nights where he’d sing to you, “it’s beautiful,”
you forced a smile, “thank you,” your tone was neutral, “i guess heartbreak makes good music,”
his jaw tightened, “you think i don’t know?”
this time, you tried your best not to let out a sarcastic laugh, “do you?” you were challenging him, stepping closer to feel his aura deteriorating, “because you made sure it never stops,”
for a moment, sicheng didn’t say anything and you thought he’d run away from you again. then, quietly, “i never wanted to hurt you, y/n,”
“but you did, sicheng!” your voice was full of ache, “and you kept on doing it. every time, sicheng… i think i’ve moved on and then you pull me back in. i thought you were getting better but you didn’t. i thought i was too much for asking what we had, you know? you made me feel bad for demanding things that shouldn’t been demanded in the first place,”
he tried to touch your cheek, noticing a tear falling down your eye but you stepped back, “i’m sorry, y/n,”
you shook your head, “just stop, sicheng. please?”
Tumblr media
the final break up, or the closure (like what your manager likes to call it), wasn’t loud or dramatic. it was quiet, mature, and comforting. it was like a song fading out. the first weeks, he kept on calling, begging you to stay by his side but you know that if you did, you’ll be back in the cycle that favors him the most, the type where you lose yourself in the process.
so, you stopped answering his calls and eventually, he stopped making them.
the world never really moved on from you and sicheng but the speculations died down. in the end, your album and the series’ excellence were praised by everyone without bringing up the scandalous romantic escapade you had with sicheng.
late at night, when you stared out at the city lights, the memories still lingered, soft yet cutting. despite knowing how disastrous it was to love him, you had returned again and again, hoping for something more… something that he wasn’t ready to give you despite him telling you to try it with him.
and in the end, you let him slip through your fingers, even as your heart begged you to hold on just one more time. because beneath the longing for his touch and warmth, you know it had to end at some point.
Tumblr media
COMING UP NEXT.  “yangyang worked his ass off in this industry, the nepo baby got it because of her parents! sure, she acts well… but y’know, their vision in life might be different… maybe that’s why they didn’t become a real couple,”

𐙚 Pet Sitting with Wayv 𐙚
Request
Genre: Fluff, Crack
Warnings: LUCAS is included and WE ARE OT7.. sooo if you don’t like it you can kindly leave💝
Kun
You step into Kun’s apartment, the soft sunlight filtering through sheer curtains, dust motes dancing in the air. The faint smell of lavender and clean laundry makes it feel like home immediately. Three cats—Louis, Leon, and Levi—are already scattered around the room, each with their own distinct personality.
Louis, sleek and confident, perches on the windowsill, tail flicking as he watches a bird outside. Leon is curled into a tight ball on the couch, eyes narrowed, clearly skeptical of any new visitors. Levi, the youngest and most energetic, weaves between your legs, brushing against your ankles.
Kun’s already on the floor, laying out treats and brushes with the precision of a professional. He looks up as you enter, eyes bright and focused. “Ten left a detailed schedule,” he says, pulling out a small notebook. “Feeding times, playtimes, brushing routines—he really trusts us with his kids.”
You smile, setting your bag down. “So, no pressure.”
He laughs softly, kneeling to offer Levi a treat. The little cat purrs immediately, jumping onto his lap. “Levi’s the easy one. Louis is curious but independent. Leon…” He pauses, looking under the table where the third cat is hiding. “Leon is a handful.”
You crouch down beside him and pull out the brush. “Let’s see if we can win him over.”
Louis jumps into your lap the moment you sit down, leaning into your hands as you stroke his fur. Levi settles happily on Kun’s chest, purring so loud you can feel it. Leon stays hidden a while longer but finally slinks out, eyes sharp and cautious. Kun approaches slowly, brushing Leon’s back in careful, gentle strokes.
“Not bad for a first try,” Kun says, grinning when Leon leans into the brush.
You chuckle, tossing a treat his way. Leon catches it with surprising speed and then rubs against Kun’s leg like he’s claiming him. “See? You’re doing great.”
After a while, the cats get comfortable enough to nap around you—Louis sprawled across your thighs, Levi curled on Kun’s chest, Leon nestled beside his knee. Kun stretches out, resting his head on your shoulder. The quiet of the apartment feels full and warm.
“You think Ten would let us keep one?” you ask, voice low.
Kun smiles against your hair. “If he does, we’re definitely doing this more often.”
You close your eyes and breathe in the peacefulness—the sound of soft purring, the weight of Kun’s body next to yours, the feeling of belonging.
Ten
“You said this would be fun.”
Ten doesn’t even look up from where he’s dangling a ribbon toy in the air like it’s an Olympic sport. “It is fun. Look at her—she’s thriving.”
Coco, Yangyang’s cat, is currently scaling the back of Ten’s couch like a little gremlin possessed. Her pupils are blown wide, tail twitching, claws out like she’s about to launch herself into orbit.
“She just tried to body slam me.”
“She’s expressing love.”
You dodge her for the third time that hour and slide down to the floor with a dramatic sigh. “She’s wild.”
“She’s energetic,” Ten corrects, finally sitting next to you and tossing the ribbon aside. Coco zips after it like she’s been summoned by dark magic. “She just needs stimulation.”
“She just needs an exorcism.”
He grins. “You’re being dramatic.”
But the chaos doesn’t bother him—in fact, he looks happy in it. He scratches Coco behind the ear when she finally flops, breathless, onto the rug. She purrs. Ten’s smile softens instantly, like this was exactly what he’d been waiting for.
“You’re good with her,” you say, quieter now.
He looks at you, his voice playful but a little more careful. “You sound surprised.”
“I’m not. Just… impressed.”
He nudges your leg with his knee. “You’re not so bad either. Once you stop dodging her like she’s a tiny assassin.”
“I value my life.”
He laughs—bright and unfiltered—then leans into your side, his temple pressing against yours. “Thanks for doing this with me. I know she’s a little… intense.”
You look over at Coco, who is currently trying to fit herself into an empty tissue box.
“She’s a menace.”
“She’s perfect,” Ten says at the exact same time.
You both start laughing again, and somewhere in the middle of it, he reaches for your hand and doesn’t let go.
Winwin
You were expecting energy—maybe chaos—but instead, Bella greets you with a quiet wag of her tail and a soft blink. She’s sitting at Xiaojun’s apartment door when you and Winwin arrive, like she’s been waiting politely this whole time.
“She’s so calm,” you whisper as you crouch to pet her.
“She’s perfect,” Winwin says, kneeling beside you.
Xiaojun had asked you both to stay with her for the weekend while he visits family, and so far it’s been nothing but soft walks and sleepy cuddles. Bella pads alongside you and Winwin as you explore the neighborhood that first afternoon, her tiny paws tapping lightly against the sidewalk. No tugging, no barking, just quiet observation.
“She matches your energy,” you tease, nudging Winwin gently.
He gives you a look, but he’s smiling. “Then she’s your opposite.”
Back at the apartment, Bella hops onto the couch after dinner and curls up between the two of you, her chin resting on Winwin’s thigh. His hand automatically moves to her head, stroking slow and gentle.
“She’s used to quiet,” he says softly. “It’s nice, isn’t it?”
You nod, letting the silence settle over everything. The kind of silence that doesn’t ask for anything. Winwin leans into you slightly, and Bella lets out the tiniest sigh in her sleep. You stroke her back while his fingers find yours, slotting together like they were always meant to.
Later, the three of you end up sprawled on the floor with an old movie playing in the background—barely watching, mostly just enjoying the calm. Winwin stretches out beside you, head on your stomach, Bella curled at your side.
“She trusts you,” he says after a while.
“I think she just wants snacks.”
He looks up at you with that soft, tired smile that never quite leaves his face. “No, she knows. You’re safe.”
Your hand finds his hair, gently running through it. “You are too.”
He closes his eyes. “Then let’s stay like this for a while.”
And you do.
Lucas
“Wait—where’d they go?”
You blink. “You just had them.”
“I know, but now they’re gone!”
Lucas is standing in the middle of Ten’s apartment with his hands on his hips, looking around like he’s in a cartoon mystery episode. He’d been confidently holding Louis under one arm and Levi under the other just five seconds ago.
“They’re tiny ninjas,” he mutters, checking under a pillow. “This is sabotage.”
You try to hold back your laugh, but it slips out anyway. “You said you had a ‘natural gift’ with cats.”
“I do!” he says quickly—just as Louis bolts out from under the couch and makes a daring leap onto the coffee table. “That was just… a test run.”
You find Levi curled up in a laundry basket, purring like nothing’s wrong.
Lucas scoops him up and holds him like he’s cradling a newborn. “He loves me.”
Levi immediately bites the string on his hoodie.
“Okay, he likes me.”
Still, despite the clumsy start, Lucas is shockingly gentle. He lets them walk all over him—literally—and talks to them like they’re old friends. You catch him cooing at Levi in the kitchen, crouched down with a treat in one hand and a baby voice you’ll never let him live down.
“They’re growing on me,” he whispers later, curled up on the floor with Louis asleep on his chest. “Or maybe I’m growing on them.”
You settle next to him, watching the two cats snooze like nothing ever happened.
Lucas turns his head toward you, eyes soft. “Thanks for doing this with me. I would’ve panicked if they escaped and I was alone.”
“You did panic.”
“Exactly.”
You smile, brushing a bit of fur off his sleeve. He grins, leans in, and kisses you slow and warm, careful not to move too much and disturb Louis.
He pulls back just enough to whisper, “Maybe we should get our own pets someday.”
From somewhere in the apartment, something crashes.
Lucas flinches. “Or… we can borrow Ten’s until we’re ready.”
Xiaojun
“She’s glaring at me again,” Xiaojun whispers.
Coco’s perched on top of the fridge like she owns the place — because she does — and she hasn’t blinked once since you walked in with Xiaojun. Her tail flicks slowly. Judgingly.
“She’s probably wondering why you’re touching all her things,” you say, carrying her food bowl over. She doesn’t move.
Xiaojun leans in. “Do you think she’d bite me?”
“Yes.”
“She’s so small though—”
“Yes.”
You were supposed to just check in on Coco for Yangyang while he was away, but somehow Xiaojun insisted on tagging along. (“You shouldn’t be alone with a known diva like her.”) What he didn’t count on was Coco attaching herself to you like Velcro—and hissing every time he gets too close.
“She’s got favorites,” you shrug.
“Why can’t I be one?”
Still, he tries. He lets Coco sniff his hand. He offers treats. He even Googles “how to win a cat’s heart” and reads the results out loud in a dramatic voice. Coco, unfazed, knocks a pen off the table and walks away.
You’re laughing way too hard.
“She’s mocking me,” Xiaojun mutters, defeated. “I’m trying to bond, and she’s giving me villain origin energy.”
Eventually, Coco slinks onto your lap, paws tucked neatly, eyes half-closed. Xiaojun stares at her like she’s just taken his seat at a royal banquet.
“You know what? Fine. I don’t need her affection.”
“Sure you don’t.”
“I have your affection,” he says, turning toward you suddenly. “That’s better anyway.”
It’s shameless. He leans in close, hand brushing yours, voice low. “Unless you’re team Coco now.”
“She did hiss at you,” you tease.
“She has no taste,” he whispers, before kissing you quickly—just once, but enough to make your face warm.
Coco chooses that exact moment to jump down and land directly on Xiaojun’s chest, like she heard everything.
He screams. You laugh so hard you cry.
“I don’t care what she says,” he groans from the floor. “You’re still mine.”
Hendery
“Okay,” Hendery says, holding Leon like a loaf of bread. “He bit me, but it felt affectionate.”
You raise a brow. “You’re bleeding.”
“Love hurts.”
You’re at Ten’s place for the afternoon because he asked you and Hendery to check in on Leon while he’s out. In theory, it should be simple. But Leon has other plans.
Ten minutes in, he’s knocked over a water glass, clawed his way up the curtains, and tried to wrestle a sock like it owed him money.
“Maybe he just needs stimulation,” Hendery suggests, pulling out one of Ten’s feather toys.
Leon stares at it. Then at Hendery. Then pounces on your foot instead.
“I think he hates me,” Hendery says with wide, betrayed eyes.
“No, he’s just—”
Leon launches onto the couch and bolts over both of you like a parkour demon.
“—a menace,” you finish.
Still, Hendery’s committed. He talks to Leon like he’s a toddler with boundary issues. “Buddy, I love you, but this is a lot for me emotionally.”
Leon responds by licking Hendery’s knee, then immediately biting his ankle.
You try not to laugh. You fail miserably.
Hours later, when the sun’s setting and the chaos has finally dimmed, Leon is miraculously curled up between you both on the couch. He’s purring like nothing ever happened. Hendery looks exhausted but smug.
“I told you he liked me,” he whispers.
You look down at Leon, then at the ten tiny claw marks on Hendery’s arm. “Sure. Deeply.”
Hendery turns to you, eyes soft, his voice quieter. “Thanks for not leaving me alone with him.”
You smile. “You begged me to come.”
“I would’ve died otherwise.”
You rest your head on his shoulder. “You’re dramatic.”
He kisses your temple, a slow press. “Only for you.”
Leon shifts, stretches, and promptly kicks Hendery in the stomach.
“…I think he’s jealous.”
Yangyang
“She’s judging me.”
Yangyang’s sitting cross-legged on the living room rug, holding a leash in one hand and a half-chewed plush banana in the other. Bella is two feet away, just… staring at him.
“She’s probably wondering why you’re barking back at her,” you say, leaning in the doorway.
“It was a bonding exercise.”
You’re watching Bella together for Xiaojun while he’s gone for a couple days. You expected a chill weekend, and honestly? It is. Kind of. There’s music playing low through the speakers, candles burning, snacks on the table—but also Bella has chosen violence multiple times. She steals socks, barks at the closet, and won’t let Yangyang wear his hoodie in peace.
“She tried to take it off me,” he says, halfway through a tug-of-war match with her and his sleeve. “Like full-on pulled at it with her teeth. This is a power struggle.”
You watch her tail wag furiously as she yanks again.
“I think you lost.”
Still, the chaos is never loud. Just ridiculous. Comfortable. You spend most of the day lounging around, taking turns walking her, laughing whenever she decides the sidewalk is lava and sprints back toward the apartment. Yangyang films her like she’s a celebrity. “Content queen,” he calls her, flipping the camera to wink at you too.
By the evening, Bella’s snuggled between you both on the couch, paws twitching in a dream. Yangyang’s hoodie is wrinkled, his hair a mess, and he’s got a sock tucked into his pocket for “protection.”
You turn to him. “So… how’d we do?”
He grins, stretching out a little more. “I think we crushed it.”
Bella kicks him in her sleep.
He winces. “Okay. She crushed me.”
You laugh and lean your head against his shoulder. He immediately tilts toward you too, voice softer now. “Thanks for doing this with me. I know it’s not exactly a relaxing weekend, but… it’s been nice.”
You look down at Bella’s sleeping face. “She’s a good girl.”
“Yeah,” he says, eyes still on you. “So are you.”

Tumblr media
〘 It was hard to express how he felt under normal circumstances, let alone when he felt like he would turn to slush should he dare to gaze upon you. 〙
Winwin x gn reader. Yandere themes. Unhealthy obsessions. The general jist of all things yandere.
Tumblr media
✧ It was a funny thing, really, to know that the nicest person in the whole office didn't like you. People would dismiss it, say you were reading into miniscule things without bothering to listen. To them, you were dirtying your nails digging for diamonds in a barren site
✧ But you knew it. You knew Dong Sicheng didn't like you. It was obvious to you how he would go out of his way to avoid you, to purposely disengage whenever it was your turn to talk in a meeting. You'd long since given up on expecting any replies to your emails, too.
✧ 'How can he hate you? He's just shy. He takes a while to warm up,' Jaehyun would say, echoing the words of everyone before him and the inevitable ones after him.
✧ Maybe he was shy, you'd entertained that idea. Maybe it because he didn't know how to approach someone in the adjacent department but not his own. Or perhaps he was just unsure of how to break the ice now that it had been months since you'd been onboarded.
✧ Regardless of what it was, you were certain. It was just dislike. Hate was a harsh word, and you didn't think you'd done anything to warrant such a visceral reaction from a man you'd only said 'hi' and 'hello' to once or twice (to a silent audience, as it were).
✧ Whatever, you thought. It was just whatever. If Sicheng didn't like you then that was his problem. All you cared about was if he did the work; all other matters were unimportant.
✧ But... Dislike and admiration was a fine line. Easy to cross, one might say.
-
✧ When Sicheng first saw you, he didn't think too much of it. Of course, you were one of his new coworkers and he had some semblance of interest in saying hello
✧ And he was going to! He told himself that it would be today. Tomorrow. The next time he saw you at lunch or when he passed your desk by...
✧ There was this lump in his throat, something not foreign to a man that had worked from the bottom up to land this job despite his naturally introverted personality and tendancy to hide away in his own thoughts. Even then, he'd always managed to choke out small talk. Being introverted didn't mean he was incompetent.
✧ So why was this feeling debilitating when it came to you?
✧ Why did he go home and think of all those vague glances he caught of you when you walked by his desk - always giving him a polite smile when when he couldn't muster the courage to fully look up. Sicheng knew that own day you would stop smiling at him, and he'd only have himself to blame. He'd spend hours staring at the ceiling, cheeks hurting at the corners from smiling.
✧ Damn. He was going crazy.
✧ Nevertheless, crazy was subjective and Sicheng could tell himself that he was just shy. That's what everyone said: he was shy. It was normal to think about someone and want to talk to them. There's nothing wrong with wanting to try some of the sweet smelling hand cream that you always seemed to have on your desk.
✧ So he did. When he knew you were on holiday, he reached into the bottom cabinet and pulled it out, fingers gripping tightly onto the packaging before he pressed some into the palm of his hand and scurried away within seconds.
✧ Of course it was decedent, melting into his skin like butter and leaving them soft, shiny, supple. This was how your hands must have felt all the time.
✧ You wouldn't know that he went out and bought the exact same one, that he'd swapped it with the one in your desk so he would have the one that you touched, used.
✧ No harm done, right? Sicheng doubted you would notice if he used a few of your pens or sat in your seat. He helped himself to one of the snacks you kept hidden, savouring the quality chocolate that coated it before replacing it once again. He wasn't stealing if he was replacing.
✧ When you returned, the smile of a person who was mentally and physically refreshed on your lips, Sicheng found himself mirroring it (even if he ducked out of view).
✧ He watched, watched and learnt. All those minutes he spent admiring at you from afar had culminated in this. Sicheng just wanted some pictures, something that he could look at. Besides, you were beautiful in every angle, whether tired or fresh faced. Every moment of your routine was engrained into his timetable, from when you'd leave the house to how you'd spend your first few minutes setting up.
✧ Log in. Have a sip of your drink. Scroll through your emails. Reply on teams. Then, get up and talk to some coworkers.
✧ Rinse and repeat.
✧ In his heart, he was well aware that he could just speak to you. Becoming part of this routine wouldn't be hard. All he had to do was say hi. He could easily use all he knew about you to start a conversation.
✧ It was awkward, and you seemed surprised. He did it regardless, stopping by your desk just moments before he knew you'd be leaving for lunch.
✧ "Hi," he'd said, fiddling with the box of raspberry pastries he had in his hands. Sicheng had seen you eat them - taken a few too many pictures when you licked the tart fruit from your lips. "Are you busy?"
✧ "Uh, no. I was just going to go for lunch." Just as he'd guessed. "Did you want to talk?"
✧ You were so cute. So... So... Cute. Could adults be this cute?
✧ "Do you mind if I join you?"
✧ Obviously, you agreed. You never said no when someone asked to have lunch with you. Sicheng was already planning on suggesting the amazing sushi restaurant just down the road - the exact one you always went to on this day.
✧ "I'm surprised," you missed, walking by his side and he moved himself closer, brushing his shoulder against yours whilst pretending like it did nothing to his already trembling heart. No matter how many times he'd sprayed your perfume on his pillows, it paled in comparison. "I thought you didn't like me."
✧ His lungs felt like they would implode. He could feel his pupils dilating, the heightened rush of blood. "I've never disliked you." I could never.
✧ And he meant it. He understood what had kept him awake all this time, had burrowed under his skin and rewired his nervous system.
✧ "Really? Well, I'm glad. I didn't want to have accidentally offended you."
✧ Sicheng smiled, the apples of his cheeks warming into this peachy shade of pink. "You didn't. I just tend to be a little... shy."

chapter twenty one : dong sicheng
S I D E : A (written)
word count : 1.2k
Your conscience had never been so guilt ridden in your life.
You thought you had that in your twenty one years of life, but in retrospect the rest of your life was so clear it was transparent.
Nothing could have ever gotten to you as much as exploring your attraction together with Dong Sicheng.
There was not even a confession.
Barely a kiss.
Sicheng had wrapped his arm around you, to which you had held onto one of his fingers and you didn’t let go. He only talked to you the whole night and you, him. Mark and Haechan thought he had been someone you knew and reconnected with.
Chenle, of course….he knew better. He just chose not to say anything, not when you both looked like you were punishing yourselves already and he didn’t want to hurt you even more. Although he didn’t agree with what you were doing, or whom you were doing… You were his friend and he was going to protect you. However, that didn’t mean he would stop calling you a bird brained idiot. Because that’s what you were. His bird brained idiot.
The first time you and Sicheng kissed, it was something. Something worth exploring and treading through.
“I’ve always been fond of you,” Sicheng admitted.
“I know,” You muse back and you kiss and kiss and kiss.
You and Sicheng went on dates, but you didn’t put the label on it. You called it ‘hang outs’ or ‘meet ups’... Dates? No. You and Sicheng were just friends. Like you and Yangyang. And you and Haechan. You and Mark. Chenle…
Friends.
“Don’t be an idiot,” You chided, taking the two ends of the glow stick bracelet from him and fitting it around his wrist.
“Did you just call me an idiot?” He pushed at your head with his own, “Fuck you too, then.”
“It’s only the truth,” You laughed, feeling tingly all over your face and at the skin of your interlocked arms. You pretended to look at the view and he didn’t have to pretend he was doing the same.. Because he was looking at you and only at you.
He smiles, all fond and sweet, smoothing over your eyebrow with his thumb, “It’s golden hour.”
“I know,” You snort, squinting as the golden ray of sunshine disallows you from watching him without a frown on your face. Missing the smile he has when he looks at you.
“It makes you look prettier, you know.”
“Prettier? So I was ugly before?”
“No,” Winwin says seriously, “Just…prettier.”
You don’t kiss him. Instead you bring him into an embrace, that feels like something and everything but also nothing at all. It’s hard to explain, but you and Dong Sicheng were never going to have it easy.
The first time you had sex, it opened up new doors for you both. You were suddenly open about some part of your relationship. You made no effort to hide the fact that you were hanging out on social media. To the people you saw everyday, you were in a relationship but you weren’t serious. Platonic but definitely not.
Again, it was hard to explain.
On a particularly hazy night, the two of you were wrapped up together, kissing against the wall of the dimly lit party room.
Sicheng’s fingers traced your lips with special attention to your bottom lip. Somewhat taken by the plumpness of it. Wishing he could kiss you and worship it. He may be drunk, but he knows beauty when he sees it. He liked the way it was darker and fuller than your upper lip.
“Win-” You whined.
“Hm?” He murmured, using his fingers to trace your face. Leaving a wave of sensations in their wake.
“Do you think-” You swallow harshly, hating yourself for choosing this time as the right time to talk about it, “I still love Hendery.”
He pauses, his fingers halting in their movements. His dark eyes flicker to meet yours, and to read the messages within your expression, before removing himself all together. Completely sober.
So sober.
“So why aren’t you with him?” Sicheng’s eyes have hardened and the boy in front of you is cold.
“Because… he thinks something’s happening between us,” I answered, pictures of your past conversation with your ex boyfriend getting to him.
He snorted and raised his eyebrow, “But nothing’s happening.”
“But there is!” You shout.
He smiled, albeit disappointed with you for sure. Not liking the way he looks at you, with a look like that..you can’t help but kiss him like you’re punishing him. Setting out to prove that there is something.
You hold him by his neck as you pull him closer, leading the kiss so much that he’s completely at your mercy.
The air between you two had frozen over. The tension was still there. But there was nothing fond. Despite the fact that Hendery had aired the both of you, with a ‘well i guess there’s a new couple around.’
Despite the guilt, you still kissed every day. You still said your good mornings and your good afternoons.
Except you were lying when you didn’t have to.
You argued all the time. Every fight the volumes went up and you were shouting at each other so loudly that the neighbours could hear and were concerned for your safety.
They started to hate Sicheng, and on one hand you didn’t want them to hate him. But on the other, hating him had cleared your conscience and made it easier. Made the betrayal much easier.
On a particular night, you had shouted so much and punched a wall, Mark came rushing in to make sure you were alright, followed by Chenle with his phone (just in case) and Haechan, verbal insults at the ready.
Though they had only found Sicheng with his head in his hands, wishing he were anywhere but there.
He saw them. The trio, so ready to protect you and he missed his own band of fools. He missed Yeosang, Jun and he missed Hendery most of all. They were the most important people in his life…
These boys cared for you so much and he missed the people who cared for him in turn.
Mark had you in a bear hug, whispering words of comfort directly into your ear, Haechan packing your clothes into a bag, making it obvious you had no say in where you were staying for the night….or nights.
Chenle, assessing your situation for any physical injuries, save for your slightly bruised knuckles, had made his way over to Sicheng.
“Need a ride?” Chenle said, shaking his phone.
“Nah,” Sicheng snorted, picking himself from the floor and making his way out the door, the huddle of you and Mark watch as he makes his way across the room quietly, save for the scuffing of his feet across the carpet and the door springing alive to make way for him.
“You don’t love him, Y/N,” Sicheng’s eyes implore into yours, “You don’t.”
Your shoulders drop in hurt, but he isn’t saying it to be cruel. He isn’t… The only one who seems to pick up on that is Chenle, because when Haechan’s eyebrows reach all the way up to his head (his defences soaring higher) and Mark’s fist clenches, he notices the way Sicheng eyes you.
Careful and fond.
Like always.
“Take care of her,” Sicheng says to Chenle before he leaves. On his way to grovel to one of his people and to let your people care for you, because it is abundantly clear that he, and Hendery, are no longer yours anymore.
He cries all the way home.
And you cry all night, so much so that Yves, Seunghan, Doyoung, Minnie, Yuqi and Johnny are all forced to video call for a last minute sleepover at 3am. All without really talking to each other, but there on call.
Just until you fall asleep.

🪻You and I🪻
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
✨Pairing: Sicheng x gn!reader ✨Prompt: The two of you meet at a cute cafe by bumping into each other and one offers to buy something for the other as an apology. ✨Word count: 1.1k ✨Genre: fluff, non idol au, strangers to friends, crush at first sight? ☀️️️Authors note: So what did you guys think of this one? I think it's rather cute and I'm happy with the outcome of it!🥰
Tumblr media
Your day had started out fine, everything had been running smoothly, no problems at all until you arrived at the new cafe which had little swings you could sit on out on their porch. You had been eyeing them for a while now and finally, finally you manages to get there before all of them had been taken.
That's when it happened. While you were turning around with your cup of steaming hot tea someone bumped into you causing you to spill your drink everywhere just narrowingly missing your clothes, the end of your pants and your shoes weren't so lucky and the hot beverage stained them both.
"Oh no! Oh I am so so sorry I did not mean to bump into you!" The stranger was panicking, checking you over to see if he had accidentally hurt you by bumping into you.
"It's okay... Accidents happen I guess." You tried to tell him with a tightlipped smile. You could see his face dropping when he realized he made you spill your drink and also ruin your legs and shoes.
"Shit I made you spill on your legs and your shoes. I'm sorry I really didn't mean to! Here what was the beverage you had? I'll buy you a new one since I made you spill!!"
"Oh no you really don't have to it's fine." You tried to argue with him but he would have none of it, just shaking his head before walking up to the register.
"Could you please make her beverage again? I'll pay for it! It was my fault she spillt it after all! Oh and could you please also make me an iced americano??" He started to talk to the cashier before turning to you.
"You can go and take a seat I'll come to you with your new drink!"
There really was no point in arguing with him. It was cute though how worried he was and how determined he was to actually buy you a new drink.
"Okay fine. You'll find me out on the porch." You told him and he nodded with a shy smile. He was rather cute when he smiled you concluded. He had a beanie on and a nice hoodie, he truly looked really kind in your eyes. You shook your head as you walked to the porch to take your seat on a swing. "Get yourself together y/n." You told yourself lightly smacking your hands against your cheeks.
"There you are! Here's your drink." He put yours on the table and then his own in front of yours on the opposite side before he ran back to the front only to come back with a box.
"Okay so I was gonna bring these to a picnic with my friends, but they can wait a little bit longer because I want to apologize again to you." He told you whilst opening a box containing a bunch of chocolate covered strawberries in a wide assortment of colors.
"You really don't have to. It is more than enough that you bought me my drink again. Truly." You told him with a smile and was met with that cute smile again.
"Please, I wouldn't be able to let this go if I didn't do this. I should have watched my steps when I entered instead of bumping into you!" He told you earnestly while sitting down motioning for you to take a strawberry.
"Won't your friends be mad I'm taking something you were bringing to the picnic?" you asked him with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh no, they'd be more mad at me if I told them I only bought you a drink as an apology and didn't do more." He chuckled. "They can be very dramatic sometimes but they're good people."
"Sounds like they're great friends from the way you're talking about them." You said while hesitating at first but after he gave you an encouraging nod with that cute smile again you took a strawberry from the box.
"Oh yeah my name is y/n by the way. Thank you for the strawberry." You told him raising the strawberry up as a little toast before causing him to giggle at your gesture.
"I'm Sicheng." He says before taking a strawberry of his own doing a little toast to you.
The two of you sit and chat for a while really enjoying each other's company. You learn that Sicheng is an actor and he's in a play right now at the local theatre. His passion really making him even more beautiful in your eyes.
"Well then I truly gotta go and see you on stage!" You told him with a smile causing Sichengs own to widen even more.
"Really?! I'd love for you to come!" He said enthusiastically, you weren't sure if you were seeing it right but it looked like a blush was building on his face, his ears completely red. You decided then and there that you really really wanted his number. He was cute, really beautiful and kind and passionate about what he was doing.
"Is it possible I could get your number??" You asked boldly before the feeling of being brave would disappear and make you regret what you had just asked. Luckily Sicheng just looked happy and almost relieved you had asked for his number, nodding and fishing out his phone handing it to you. You hand him yours as you start putting in your number and name and snapped a funny picture for him to remember who you were.
"Umm... Would it be possible for me to take you out on like a date on the day you would come and see me on stage? Like afterwards? Just you and me?" He asked cheeks blossoming pink again causing you to give him a smile.
"That sounds wonderful. Just you and I. I'll text you the day I'll manage to get tickets and we could plan from there?" You told him
"That sounds great!" He was about to say something else when his phone suddenly exploded with messages and as he looked down his eyes widened.
"Shit! The picnic! Sorry! I have to go before my friends find me and have my head for being late!" He apologized taking his things rather clumsily.
"Go! Don't worry we can text more later!"
"Bye! Thank you! I'll see you on our date!!" He said before rushing out of the cafe looking panicked causing you to laugh at his slightly goofy run.
The last thing you did was open your phone and look at your new contact named Sicheng🍓 with a cute picture of him posing with a strawberry as his user contact.
"Now to find a ticket." You told yourself trying to hold back your excitement opening the website to see if there where any available in the next coming days for your date with the really cute man you had met due to an accident at the coffee shop.

Winwin & WayV - Overworked
Tumblr media
“Hey, why don’t we take a break and sit down…” Kun said quietly, approaching Winwin slowly before setting a hand on his shoulder.
The focus that had been on Winwin’s face was instantly replaced by a look of slight confusion. Kun simply shook his head lightly, wrapping an arm around Winwin’s shoulder. This wasn’t the first time that he had worked himself into the ground and it wouldn’t be his last.
The rest of the members instantly quieted down, glancing between Winwin and Kun as they tried to figure out what Kun had noticed that nobody else had. They quickly had their answer, however, when Winwin stumbled, held up only by Kun’s grasp.
Ten was quickly on Winwin’s other side, helping to keep him on his feet until they could get him somewhere more comfortable.
*~*~*~*~*~
“What…” Winwin stammered as Ten helped him lay down on the couch in the lounge nearest to their dance studio. “What’s happening?”
Kun sighed as he placed a few pillows under Winwin’s feet, hoping to get his blood circulating back up to his head.
“I don’t know Sicheng, I was going to ask you the same thing?” Kun replied, kneeling down next to the couch by Winwin’s head and brushing his hair from his face before resting a hand on Winwin’s forehead, relieved to find that he didn’t seem to be running a fever. “You’ve been shaky and disoriented all day, then I looked over and you were as white as the wall…”
“Oh…” Winwin said, looking up at the ceiling and scrunching his nose as if he was trying to recall what Kun was telling him before giving up. “Really?” was all he could get out before his eyes fluttered closed.
“Yes, really” Kun replied, smiling sadly. It was one thing if Winwin was purposely pushing himself too far, but a whole different thing if he hadn’t actually realized.
Ten instantly chimed in, stuffing an extra pillow under Winwin’s feet. “Have you been sleeping okay? And eating?”
Winwin scrunched his nose again, once more deep in thought. “I don’t really know…”
Ten rolled his eyes out of Winwin’s field of view before sitting down by his feet.
“If you don’t know then I’d assume the answer is no?” Kun asked gently. The last thing he wanted to do was overwhelm Winwin when he was feeling so poorly.
“It’s just…I don’t know. I feel like I’ve missed a lot. I wanted to catch up” Winwin said with a sigh, draping a hand over his eyes as the room started to spin around him.
“I hate to break it to you, but you haven’t really missed all that much. It’s been pretty slow around here if you haven’t noticed” Ten replied lightly, trying to calm Winwin down. Kun nodded in agreement, giving Winwin’s hand a light squeeze.
“Alright, Sicheng, we’re going to go finish practice. There’s only a couple hours left” Kun said as he stood up, followed by Ten. “We’ll come get you once it’s time to go home, okay?”
Winwin suddenly tensed at that, trying to get up before Ten stepped in and pushed him back down.
“No, seriously, I’m feeling okay now! I can finish up practice!” Winwin’s eyes were wide and flustered.
“You’ll do absolutely nothing of the sort. Try and get some sleep, okay?” Kun replied in his “leader” voice. Winwin didn’t dare argue with him about it. Instead, he simply closed his eyes, sinking back into the couch.
“Sleep well. We’ll see you soon” Kun added, absolutely certain that Winwin hadn’t even heard him as he was already fast asleep.
