and here's a song for a much later chapter of my cod prequel fic for Rory. When she gets her revenge on an enemy from her past and carries out an assassination with an assist from Laswell on the intel:

I picture it very much as like one of those long steady cam shots in my head, opening with her tossing her spent cigarette and then following her as she moves to her position at the top of a hotel, carrying her sniper rifle with her in what looks like just rolling luggage, and sets her sights on her target in a building across the way, taking the shot, and then disappearing as quickly as she arrived.

Hey everybody!!! I was tagged by @cloudofbutterflies92, @voidika, and @simplegenius042 to share the music that has been inspiring my wips. Thank you for tagging me!

Too Close/Too Late is the one song I have on repeat while working on Rooney's first real conversation with Yorinobu and the fic about their family in their CP2077 universe. It's also one of the songs I've started to closely associate with Rooney, appearing on both their character and ship playlist. To me, this songs represents the dilemma that Rooney faces after their death and subsequent revival. Can you go back to who you used to be? Can you be that same person? Or are you now someone else? And if you keep trying to go back, keep dwelling on the past, are you doomed to repeat the same mistakes over and over? (Also sorry, I'm just gonna post the whole song lyrics since they fit.)

While I've been taking a break from the heavier stuff, I've also been working on some oneshots for Rooney and Yorinobu. This one takes place a few weeks after Rooney and Yorinobu meet each other again, and they've taken the relic case to protect V. Despite the distance between the two, Rooney and Yorinobu still deeply care for each other and this oneshot is a reflection of that.

no writing today since we're fresh off the heels of a fic update for katc and most of my writing for it right now is uh. bare bones to say the least. and while i do have an askbox prompt i'm working on, its close enough that i would prefer to publish it once it's ready. so you're all getting music instead.

Over time, being next to Shion became natural to Levi. She's in love with him (somehow), but she doesn't push those feelings on him, doesn't push him into naming his emotions before he's ready. She's just there. Supporting him, challenging him, embracing him for who he is.

And then he thinks she's been killed. Under his command. He isn't prepared for her to come back alive. For her sake, he pushes her away.

WIP MUSIC MONDAY TUESDAY

Tagged by @trench-rot a few hours ago and also a few weeks ago and also by@inafieldofdaisies ages ago and I think by someone else but that tag has been lost to the void. Oops. 😂 No tags cause it's not Monday anymore BUT if you want to share music with me I want to hear it. So badly. Sharing music is one of my love languages and I have been suffering for a over a decade since giving people CDs went out of style.... As for the WIP part I am not working on anything new exactly? I've been re-writing some old stuff in first person because being honest about it, Melody just doesn't seem unhinged enough without her thought process being front and centre. She reads a little too put together, obviously she's making bad decisions but the reasons WHY aren't there. So I'm writing through her eyes for a bit. I don't always love first person stories so the one-shots will still be third person but I think the main story really needs more of the brain-broke perspective she has on The Project. And this is a little part of my soundtrack. I wanted to add about 5 more but 3 is enough I think.

Three songs for one OC (or rather one group), one WIP and on companionships. Respectively for Wings And Horns, A Radioactive Calamity Of Love, Bombs & Gore and The UnTitledverse. Listen and read below:

Wings And Horns is an Original Work I'm planning to write, which involves a pair of angels chasing after a pair of extremist demons who are trying to destroy the "Soulmate System"; a divine system designed to romantically pair souls together throughout lifetimes and reincarnation. Archangel Metatron and his companion, an Angel of Death named Azriel, are tasked with preserving the system, while a Demon from the Sloth Ring known as Xiang Ba'al and his adopted daughter, a Sinner soul by the name of Jezebel, start a campaign to abolish the Soulmate System due to the flaws that had personally affected Jezebel. "Carousel" encapsulates everyone's place in the system, how while it is well-meaning and capable of bringing joy to some, it does leave others at a disadvantage and gives a lack of choice in their destinies.

Next song I'd say is less for the OC in The UnTitledverse I chose this for, by the name of Madame Callaghan, who is the director of C.Y.P.R.U.S, a multiverse organization that kidnaps children and trains them to be assassins and hitmen (amongst other unfavorable things), but more so for both Madame Callaghan and her expectation and relationship with her "children" as well; Mordecai (The Huntsman), Urijah (The Nihilist), Theodore or rather Theo (The Copycat) and lastly Candace (The Combatant). I tried to encompass the main figureheads of C.Y.P.R.U.S with this one.

This song relates to Marissa "Ress" Bishop and Ortega "Ore" Brantley's bond with their Fallout companions in A Radioactive Calamity Of Love, Bombs & Gore. Ore has been around long enough to make companions during the events (though slightly altered) of Fallout (1997), 2, 3 and New Vegas, while Ress has been around to bond with her companions in Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4. After Fallout (1997) and Fallout 2, Ore takes an "keep at arms length" approach with human companions in 3 and New Vegas, because he's outlived the likes of Elrand Brant (The Vault Dweller), Ian, Tycho, Katja and likely John Cassidy and Vic as well (either to age or circumstances) including Elrand's granddaughter Finidy Mona (The Chosen One), whom had been killed by Ore's father, Arcane Urias. Ore mostly connects with non-human companions as they are either a Ghoul or a Super Mutant and have a longer lifespan, until he makes a connection with Ryder (Courier Six). Meanwhile, Ress has the luck of gaining companions and keeping in contact with them in less than a decade, and due to her upbringing with the Bishop Crime Family, has a need to socialize and keep her companions close. She understands that due to her father, Urias', biology she'll likely outlive most others just like Ore, so she takes it upon herself to make as much meaningful relationships as possible to remember fondly over. The reason Ore and Ress gravitate towards these companions is either due to a sentimental reason or even because nearly all companions are as odd and outcasted as the brother and sister are.

I'm always drawing and writing, but I hardly post WIPs these days. But! I was tagged by @imogenkol and @simplegenius042 recently, and more over the last few weeks, so here's another WIP of my Far Cry New Dawn OC River Palmer 💕

And maybe this is a bit Basic™️ , but this song reminds me of River. He's a bitter bastard and sweet too underneath it all and too busy for romance, but as he'd probably say, "Don't need a storybook romance, Cap'n, for a night of fantasy..."
