OC Tag Game!

Ooo thanks for tagging me @kittynomsdeplume & @cleverblackcat!! This took a while to get to but it was very fun!

Favorite OC: Evil question to start. I can't possibly choose unless I set some limits for myself so I'm going to cheat and say my most popular OC. I have the most art of her by no fault of my own. Velaneth Surana is my canon HoF and Warden Commander. Vela is a very open person: never lies, has no body shame, and loves to learn about other people and where they’ve come from. She walks into every hostile situation with her best foot forward trying to make friends and allies.

Newest OC: I’m slowly congealing my ideas about Orlagh Trevelyan because I’ve been imagining what the different cultures of the Freemarches look like - especially on the coast where trade is frequent. She’s from Ostwick of course and trained as a Templar as a youth but spent summers at a monastery with her aunt in Wycome which I imagine a bit like Morocco. I’ve been staring at my Pinterest boards imagining her lonely days growing up and what it means for her to leave her walls behind and be thrust into this new organization with all these people and their differing ideals. I'm particularly interested in exploring her being a templar but having some latent magic that has been tied up in her templar abilities so long she didn't realize it was ever there.

Oldest OC: In DA my oldest OC is Topaz Brosca from my original run of origins. The one where my save got deleted right before the Landsmeet lol rip. I've recently revisited her and I'm falling in love with her again. She's a hot trans girl and stabby rogue and she falls in love with the surface world immediately. My oldest OC ever though... might be a self insert hobbit character I made for myself as a child before I knew what fandom or fanfiction was lol! I think her name was Charlie? my memory is BAD but I know that's a name I loved as a kid.

Meanest OC: Szadrine Aeducan is my final origin from DAO to get an OC and I'm slowly growing deeply obsessed. She’s involved in (literal) cutthroat Orzammar politics and ends up skipping the warden bit after the whole betrayal and exile thing. She simply deserts at Ostagar. I think she should end up kicking ass in Orlais because she would be so good at the Game.

Softest OC: Bearnard Cousland is a soft, sweet, bookish baby-gay who would rather bury himself in his research in a library than seek glory or fight battles or do politics. Bearn is the second son so he’s gotten away with avoiding some of that but of course he has to attend his lessons and participate in the tourneys. His scholarly work lends him some political savvy since he’s intimately familiar with Ferelden’s history, but he’s most interested in lost texts and translating ancient works. He never had good gay role models growing up and thinks of himself as homely and forgettable, so he never felt like that was an option for him, but Maker does he ever pine lol!

Most Aloof/Standoffish OC: Gotta be Irene Amell. She's a real bitch with resting murder face. Incredibly unapproachable, intimidating Domme energy. Tends to default dislike people and keep to herself, prefering to slink around and eavesdrop than talk to people for info. She’s very protective and loving toward her close friends and lovers, but it’s hard to get close in the first place.

Dumbest OC: Myrna Hawke is a smart woman, she's an accomplished mage, enjoys reading, quick witted, but she has zero self-awareness and has a very hard time even understanding how she feels, much less how other people feel about her. She’s absolutely clueless and fully blindsided by anyone’s interest & gets tongue tied and stupid when she’s horny. She’s also very impulsive and acts before she thinks things through which leads to getting into a lot of dumb shit.

Smartest OC: There are excellent contenders here: Bearn with his book smarts and Topaz with her street smarts, but I want to say Ithadhea Mahariel because even though they are incredibly dense when it comes to interpersonal relations, their wealth of traditional knowledge from their clan is incredible. They are not really a people person, usually quiet and solitary, but they took to hunting like they were born for it and eagerly learned everything in the realm of woodcraft and survival. They know all their clan's stories by heart and and know resources by seasons in a way that is part of their internal clock. I think this kind of generational knowledge probably outstrips the scope of any of my other OC's knowledge.

OC I’d Be Friends With: Edric Cadash is so laid back and friendly I think he’d be one of the easiest to make friends with. I want to have tea and gossip with him and have that turn into late night drinking and telling stories by the fire. Vela would be an instant friend as well; she wants to befriend everyone and she'd have an easy time with me!

Kreese: What happened with Terry in the old dojo, I didn't know he was going to do that.

Kreese is in his own way trying to apologize and realizing that they went too far and that he regrets it. Of course no one is here to take note that something happened. But at least someone acknowledges that it did happen, though Johnny doesn't really want to stop to talk.

Ugh. Kreese: It didn't have to be this way Johnny, you could've been with me and your real son.

Johnny is right.

Kreese didn't want a loss to send Johnny into a downward spiral, he wanted Johnny to be #1, and 2-0 would've been a nail in a coffin.

Kreese: It does matter whether you win or lose.

Our boy stretching, but wincing when he does it.

Damn all of Johnny's poor choices are because people get in his head. Kreese essentially said he's going to ensure Robby win's and that he eventually takes over Cobra Kai to which Johnny was like fuck no Cobra Kai is dying tonight and that is not the headspace Miguel whose injured needs, nor the pressure.

I'm not ready.

We'll take down cobra kai and show everyone, LaRusso and everyone whose the best of the best.

Poor guy is in pain and this time Johnny's using him as a pawn for an old rivalry. He picked the wrong words. That was too much to put on Miguel.

Like the original deal was so that Daniel had a chance to defend himself from his bullies who were outnumbering him and nearly killed him.

This is an old rivalry a bunch of old men are having and rehashing and Miguel tried to get them to all get along, he did what his sensei asked and he ended up hurt and tired and I think he's decided it's not worth it anymore.

And what's interesting is, for the most part, he's been sad and tired most of the season.

I agree with Devon on the count down clock being overly dramatic.

But I am proud of Miguel for just deciding he was in too much pain and saying no. He's the first one to do that. Neither Robby nor Daniel did. Daniel probably couldn't have for his safety versus Cobra Kai, but Robby could've.

I love that Mitch's response to Devon is 'yeah it's the all valley' like they're always overly dramatic.

I will say kudos to Johnny for realizing his words weren't the right ones and that it was too much pressure

It is sweet that Carmen instantly hugs him and is like "no." Johnny needs to be told everything isn't always his fault and give him a hug.

Miguel using one of Johnnys misdirect truth/avoiding the truths: I'm always rooting for you Sam.

It's not a promise to be out there because our boy is skipping town in search of his dad. Which the whole season has kind of been about. Like Johnny is his sensei and he loves Johnny and Johnny loves him, but Johnny doesn't know how to be a good dad, and Miguel needs to know about his dad and what could've/might've been to better understand what he wants and needs and to not feel the way Johnny felt about the shitty male role models he had.

I do say that it sucks that Eagle Fang got pretty much nothing though out of this.

I mean that's been what Robby's been trying to do.

Robby punching Eli in the chest, then bouncing around a lot and going "Let's go baby!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Daniel looking at Sam when Eli comes over and is like hey he was at Miyagi-do longer than I was so he knows all my moves.

And Daniel actually gives good coaching advice even though he looks like he swallowed a lemon. "And you were in Cobra Kai longer, put him on defense."

They both do a jump kick and Hawk lands it.

This is actually a very good fight because they both keep stopping the other from landing hits.

Johnny should be proud of both of them.

Lol Robby's gi is loose from that last tussle/block

I wonder if prepping for this fight was harder than prepping for the ones where you score for hits, because they had to choreograph all the misses too, like Robby just kicked at air while punching forward towards Eli.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Eli getting his arm stuck in Robby's gi, like his hand goes through and pretty much goes through Robby's non-existant sleeve. Their clothes are also fighting them.

What is nice about this is that they're also not really hurting each other with those no points, they're just constantly missing by like a breath, both moving out of the way of the others punch/kicks too fast or blocking, so there haven't been any painful hits yet.

The way Eli uses Robby's gi to knock him down and nearly punch him in the chest only for the buzzer to ring and both Daniel and Johnny to look around confused.

Daniel was part of the sudden death over time in 1985, but I don't think Johnny ever had to interact or deal with that.

The people are pumped. Unlike Daniel's fight in 1985, these two aren't badly hurting each other, so it's actually showing great skill for both of them and how amazing they are. So it's honestly a million times better then the 1985 fight of Daniel vs Mike Barnes from TKK3 where it went into overtime because Mike Barnes kept torturing Daniel with hits, getting points, and then purposefully losing them by hurting him in places where he wouldn't get points and would get a foul for it.

"You're showing him respect? This fight should be over by now" - Silver, pissed that his old rule he probably instilled came back up. And that it wasn't a clear cut win.

Robby like his father, not giving a shit, and sassing people stronger than him (arguably) and bothering Silver. 🤣 However, this is probably a shock for Silver who'd picked Robby as like his first student.

Kreese like nope, the Lawrence blood line is special to me, no hurting gotta stop my bud from hurting this family I keep trying to adopt but keep fucking up the process.

Daniel's "That was incredible" is the most enthusiastic and happy he's been matside for one of his students. Very Johnny of him.

The way the music swells and Eli grin when Daniel looks at Sam, who nods, then Johnny whose standing for some reason by himself in that shot, then tells him to give it everything he's got.

Like now we're actually coaching for the all-valley.

Somewhere along the way Robby lost his tie for his gi, his black belt went mia somewhere.

The ref's shrug when Eli looks at him like, is it okay that Robby just threw off his shirt?????

Wait a second, Robby still has his black belt it's around his waist. So why was he struggling to tie it?

Like Tory got Robbys, Demetri got Hawk's. And the WTF Demetri has followed by a shake of his head as he like sets it aside like wtf? But whatever.

OMG the air Robby just got with his jump.

Kenny yelling "finish him" which is a Kreese/Silver thing that he doesn't want his lil bro to say shocked him to his core.

I'm kinda surprised Hawk kicking Robby in the shoulder and off of him didn't get him a point.

Hawk tried to kick Robby in the face but Robby blocked and so Hawk essentially made Robby slap himself in the face. 🤣

Guess hitting yourself doesn't count.

Robby gets an elbow to Hawk's hip, no point, but that hurt and Hawk is flagging on energy.

Hawk just happened to be faster and stomped Robby's chest with his foot. Which looks like it hurt.

Proud of Hawk/Eli. Though I hope eventually Robby wins, that's his second second place trophy.

Amanda, talking to Tory before the fight is maybe not the best choice. Man, just no one stays in their seats and on their sides this year huh?

Tory's talking to Dr. Hillier, and she helped Tory find a volunteer to help with her mom. She thanks Amanda for that.

And Amanda pulls out the suspicious ask of don't hurt Sam. Which is like fair, but it also started sounded too close to throw the match for comfort. Playing by the rules is a good ask but she didn't ask Sam to do the same and Sam's been wild lately.

Daniel: I want your help. You and I might be set in our ways. (Whose talking here? Johnny's literally spent four seasons slowly changing and learning and changing more.)

Sam and Hawk's previous matches really go through to Daniel. Sam using Eagle Fang and being stubborn against Daniel really did it. And then once he told Hawk to use Cobra Kai he realized oh shit, maybe Johnny's karate works at the All-valley (Who would've ever thought it since Miguel won, half the kids are his and oh yeah, all the bazillion trophies Johnny has)

Johnny's needed to hear this and Daniel need to learn this.

I mean all of Daniel's actions could be blamed on grief. This is what he has of Mr. Miyagi left and he held onto it so tightly that it choked everyone, which was something Mr. Miyagi never wanted. It was meant to change and become Daniel's version of karate, and his students karate were meant to change and grow too, not become stagnant.

Mr. Miyagi never ever said Cobra Kai's karate was bad or evil or that they were doing it wrong, just that their choices and how they were using it was wrong. I.e. attacking and hurting Daniel and that they had a bad teacher.

Johnny already has taken this lesson to heart, taking the karate he was given and changing it, and learning and changing it some more. Daniel just needed to get there too.

"I was scared of the influence you had on Sam, but now I see some of what you teach can be good sometimes." Welcome to the party Daniel. It just took you 4 seasons.

And Johnny realizes Daniel's actually opening to listening now and goes for it. "I'm sorry too. I saw you and Miguel bonding and freaked out. I was afraid of losing that connection." (Poor Johnny he's lost so many connections and he's said at least a few times that Miguel on a level helped him and how much that relationship means to him because Miguel was the only one not to give up on him and turn his back on him.)

"Now I'm paying the price for it"

His jealousy did kick him in the ass.

"I should've just let him train with you. He would've been a stronger fighter."

Johnny, stop it. You were letting him train with Daniel and you were training the Miyagi-do's, it was Daniel who wanted to take over. Just because in this moment you're regretting not letting that happen doesn't mean it would've been right. Sam, for example really wanted to learn Eagle Fang. Both of you needed to compromise and teach together.

this is one of those moments where I am proudest of Daniel.

Where Daniel runs up to tell Darryl that Johnny also is a two time all valley champion.

Which on one hand it's weird Darryl doesn't know that but does know that there hasn't been a sudden death round since 1985. The only thing I can think of is that because Daniel's been on the committee for so long he's told everyone everything about his wins probably glossing over the gruesome bits since Silver and Kreese were unknowns to the committee as was Barnes.

Because nothing else makes sense to me.

Sam has needed to hear this.

I want to point out that when Johnny joined the Miyagi do, his team did too, and they're now, red, white, red white along the side of the mat.

Sam got Tory with a kick to the face.

Part of me wonders if this is oh damn my daughter can fight and kick ass or oh shit I just told this girl to not hurt my kid and here my kid is hurting her. Or just impressed by the flying tornado kick, which I'm pretty sure is what Miguel tried to do and pulled a muscle. So at least one of the kids he taught successfully pulled it off.

Daniel: What was that? Johnny: Flying tornado kick.

2 for Tory. Sam I think got kicked in the face. It was too fast and from an angle where they don't show it connect but from Sam's back.

Sam hits before Tory's foot goes over the bounds, which is the opposite with what happened to Devon, but this time the ref says "no point no point out of bounds" when it's not true. Like Devon was out of bound and it should've been no point, but the ref said it was. Clue #2 that the game is rigged in Tory's favor. Literally.

Even Tory looks surprised.

Johnny literally yelling at the ref what truly happened but ignored and Silver looking pleased

Sam got a point in what looks like a Dragon Ball Z move. 🤣 She was too far from the edge for that not to blatantly count.

Tory hit Sam in the face with her elbow. Tory got a warning but no deduction. If she was barnes this fight would've gone very differently for Sam.

Johnny once again the person calling the ref out for his faulty calls.

Tory panicking because she didn't mean to elbow Sam in the face and it was an accident.

The way both Kreese (whose essentially recommended similar things in the past is looking at Silver and Robby is listening head tilted, thinking...

Kreese realizing that if they push Tory for this he'll end up with another Johnny.

The kick to the stomach and then Tory running over to see if Sam is alright, kinda shocked she won.

And the way the cobras rush her and pull her back, the exact same way this happened to Johnny when he wanted to go check on Robby after Miguel's win in the last All-Valley.

Per Silver tradition, taking the mic to make announcements.

Sam running off and Daniel's voice cracking as he calls her name unable to get any volume on his voice.

A parent told Carmen, that she saw Miguel get in an uber.

Johnny: What's an uber

Carmen: It's like a taxi. He left before the finals.

Carmen: Some days I just wish we could get a do-over.

Johnny: I know the feeling.

Probably he's felt that for most of his life.

Kyler: Victory party at my place, queen cobra, you coming?

She's so happy and is about to not be happy.

Silver thought the ref was going to back out of their deal a few times, but says the ref played it just right and the money will be in his account by morning.

Tory hears all of that and looks down at her trophy shell shocked and sad.

Johnny drives past the old strip mall and see's his dojo space is up for lease again. (The kebab place is also for lease)

The doors just unlocked.

Gosh that's gotta hurt. His dojo that he put all that work and effort into, once again just empty and all his stuff's gone too.

He says softly to himself "What the hell"

Which makes sense, Kreese went to all that work to steal the place from him and now Cobra Kai the franchise won't be at the Reseda location any more.

But they also took everything, which with Silver's money doesn't seem necessary. Except that maybe this is Silver moving to better locations after he kicks Kreese to the police.

This is just so sad. All that's left is the paint on the walls.

Robby followed him. Robby says they're moving location, multiple locations.

Johnny: You kicked ass today. Could've gone either way.

Robby: Thanks

Johnny: It's just a match. Don't let it eat you up. Trust me.

I think it's nice that Robby realized the best person to talk to about this is Johnny. To talk to about what happened with Kenny. And poor Robby is asking for help and nearly in tears.

I thought I could take him under my wing. Be the mentor I wish I had when I was younger.

The look on Johnny's face, it's literally what he himself has been trying to figure out. And he knows, and has admitted multiple times that he's failed Robby in this regard.

But when I saw him today, it was like looking in a mirror.

Robby getting that dose of feeling that Johnny gets.

Hatred for Johnny and Miguel and that he could try and use Cobra Kai to control that, but now it's made things worse and it'll never get better.

Kudos for Johnny for listening, hearing Robby and telling him that 'it'll never get better' isn't true.

"You had a good thing going with LaRusso, I got in the way of that. Don't blame yourself. Blame me" (Johnny begging Robby to not drown in guilt the way Johnny always does and for Robby to just put all the blame on him with tears in his eyes)

But Robby shakes his head and says he's sicking of blaming Johnny. Johnny goes in for a hug but it's slow enough that Robby could escape it if he didn't want it.

Strike first, hug your crying son. Reward: He hugs you back and cries into your shoulder.

Johnny: It's going to be alright. We'll figure this out. Okay?

Robby needed his dad and this is something Johnny knows. Johnny knows cobra kai, he knows losing people to that mindset, he knows losing himself to that mindset. He knows fucking things up with Daniel, and all the good things in his life. He knows ruining a mentor/mentee relationship. He knows how to survive the crushing guilt and failure. But, he still gets back up, and Robby's been getting back up on his own all this time and this time Johnny's there to help.

Silver popped open a 1998 Bollinger, champagne. Literally Terry's tone is danger in all red flags. "You awakened something in me and I'll always be grateful for it."

Also Silver didn't drink after that cheers

Kreese says in that moment with Tory he had a "moment of sympathy" Silver says: That's a first.

Terry: You remember when you asked me what I thought your weakness was? It's Johnny Lawrence. That's what all of this was about right, not us teaming up again or bringing back the glory days

Kreese denies it.

Terry says he fell for it because his weakness is Kreese.

Kreese refuses to be considered someone's weakness and tells Terry he's not, but is instead Terry's strength.

Terry asks how many times does Kreese expect to repay the debt of Vietnam back before they're square.

Though it is Terry who after escaping the cage said he'll be there for anything, forever, for their entire lives.

Kreese sees the police pull up and immediately realizes it's a trap. "What did you do?"

Stingray crying, throwing Kreese under the bus for his assault because Silver beat him up and told him to.

Kreese elbows a police officer in the face.

Terry promises to dig up some friends to help with cobra kai, Kreese tells him he'll regret it and then says "And don't worry about Lawrence. I'll take good care of him too."

Which from Terry, sounds like a threat and Kreese gets that threat and stares Terry down.

Once Kreese is officially dragged off Terry giggles to himself and finally drinks his champagne while moving around like he's a maestro.

Johnny gets home and hears lots of spanish so he JUST LETS HIMSELF INTO THE DIAZ HOME. JOHNNY WTF. Even if you're dating Carmen and a part of the 'family' you don't just walk in. You knock.

Miguel left a note

Sam and Daniel get home, both look like they're still crying.

The last few months for Miguel have just been too much, his injury, his recovery, sam and him, johnny and mr. larusso, he thought focusing on teh tournament would help him get over all of that. (Note he didn't add Johnny dating his mom throwing him for a loop) Tell sensei I'm sorry for bailing, his karate helped me grow but I don't know who I want to be. To figure that out Miguel is going home. 'sensei was scared to findout the truth about his past and honestly i am too'

Miguels viewing finding and meeting his dad the fear he has to face, not a trophy. Aka a lot of what karate has been was about growing and gaining strength to face his fears, but Miguel doesn't feel like he's done that yet and needs to and that fear is his dad.

Carmen called the police.

Johnny: I'll go get him and bring him home safe.

Carmen literally crying and saying Johnny's name like that's the nicest thing possible but he's going in blind.

Johnny tries to reassure her that he can handle himself and that he wouldn't hurt his own son, but he doesn't know he has a son.

CHOZEN

I love that reveal every time

Like how did that go? Daniel went home after the tournament when Sam was crying and called Chozen and was like hey, things are bad here, will you come help me with Miyagi do? And Chozen was like hell yeah karate cousin. (Which damn Daniel just keeps collecting cousins) And then what Daniel was like okay I'll take you to Mr. Miyagi's grave, sat down there by the grave and talked to Mr. Miyagi for like a few minutes, before telling Chozen what he needed.

And here Chozen is like hell yeah I get to fight this Cobra kai or whatever? I'm totally here for this Californian karate soap opera.

The bow of both of them to Mr. Miyagi.

I guess the idea from Daniel's pov is that he needs back up, and technically if someone bothers him about the deal, Chozen can teach if he can't.

BnHA Chapter 232: Giant Bitchslap Arm

Previously on BnHA: Gigantomachia woke up and started ninja-running toward Aichi prefecture. Then all of a sudden we cut to Hawks just chilling on an Osaka rooftop with a bag. Everyone was like, “whoa, Hawks, what are you doing in this arc?” Hawks was all “well I’ll show you” and then he had a flashback where he fucking murdered Best Jeanist, probably, and everyone was like “um, hey, what the actual fuck” and Hawks was like “well you asked” and we were all filled with regret for having done so. Back in the Ol’ Villain City, Twice caught up with Tomura and Spinner and they were very happy to see him, and Tomura was like “so anyway we’re almost at Re-Destro’s tower and I can’t wait to fucking kill that guy” and the others agreed but they also worried that Tomura was too exhausted to keep this up much longer, and so Twice went on ahead to try and finish off RD on his own. The chapter ended up with Twice #241762-D arriving at the top of the tower to confront RD and rescue my boyfriend Giran.

Today on BnHA: Twice creates some clones of Tomura and the gang to help him out. Re-Destro then insta-kills one of the clones and tells Twice that he’ll kill Giran if Twice uses his quirk any more. He then makes his arm go all big and he just fuckin’... [gestures wildly] WHIPASH!! and just smacks them all to death, and then he goes over to where Giran is and gets ready to kill him while he and Twice are having a moment. Thankfully the not-quite-dead-yet Tomura clone intervenes, and as he fights him, Re-Destro launches into a big villain monologue about the Mother of Quirks, a.k.a. the mother of the first superpowered child to ever be born. Long story short, that baby grew up to be Destro, and his mom was all “please be kind to him and let him live in peace!” and so they fucking killed her because people are terrible. As RD is wrapping up his story and about to kill the clone Tomura, the real one reaches the tower and is all, “TOUCH!!!” This is the single most badass thing anyone has ever done, and the chapter ends with a wobbly Tomura confusedly interrogating an enraged Re-Destro while “We Will Rock You” by Queen plays in the background omfg.

listen here my anonymous friend, thank you for not spoiling me, but I do have to say that if your goal was to have me once again approach this chapter in stark terror, mission accomplished lol

here’s how it’s gonna go. I’ve got a mirror, and we’re gonna use it to cautiously peek around corners before clicking to the next page, and from what I understand that should protect us from being instantly killed by Horikoshi’s murderous basilisk glare. the characters, on the other hand, well...

what kind of sound effect is this

glomp glomp? are these Horikoshi sound effects? does he know his little Twice clones are making enthusiastic hugging sounds?? and yet this is oddly in character though

also it looks like he’s cloning at least one Tomura and Dabi! so that should be fun. we get to see RD presumably murder them all on this little test run, and then they’ll hopefully have a better idea of how to approach this on their second go-around

RD says he had a lot of guards down below, and he’s praising Twice’s quirk. well, his “superpower”, anyway

that was the title of this chapter, incidentally; “quirks and superpowers.” I do vaguely wonder why they’re so insistent on using different terminology for it, and I wonder if there’s an actual reason for that

anyway so now Jin is yelling at the clones that they’re clones. so it’s okay if they die and stuff. lol. I’m sure that makes them feel a whole lot better

I wonder if this Tomura is less sleep-deprived? also, Twice duplicated the hands as well! that’s something that was pointed out to me a little while ago, back when they were fighting Gigantomachia. this actually seems a bit iffy to me now that we’ve been reminded that he needs to understand the details of something in and out before he can copy it. like, he couldn’t copy the quirk-be-gone bullets because he didn’t know how they worked. but somehow he knows how these hands work though??

or maybe he doesn’t, and these hands don’t actually work like the Real Deal hands. that’s probably the case actually. so anyways I wonder if this Tomura will act a little different. I’m probably overthinking this to the extreme lol

and Twice and Dabi are making the exact same joke I made three paragraphs earlier about “that should make them feel a whole lot better.” get your own material you assclowns

last but not least, lol at him having to reiterate his tale of bravely overcoming past trauma yet again to Compress because he missed the whole story. poor Compress, all confused and out of the loop. I wonder if Twice duplicated his robot arm. it’s hard to tell in the picture whether it’s missing or he’s still just in the process of creating it

heh. it’s possible Jin has not thought through the potential long-term consequences of this little undertaking at all sob. but that’s a problem for future Twice! right now current Twice has more important things to deal with, like kicking Re-Destro’s ass

yeah, you see, he’s all “don’t worry about that right now” and presumably tucking that whole notion away someplace in the back of his mind to be properly fucked up by later on. as anyone with ADHD can tell you that’s clearly the best way to deal with all of your problems

meanwhile RD has just the one of him, but possesses an unknown quirk, and does not seem to be at all fazed by the current situation which is a bit unnerving. oh yeah, and he does still have a hostage, though, if the others insist on taking their sweet time to go and untie my boy Giran. yeah. so that part’s also not good. dammit Twice untie him already

Maggie Says Stuff: Arrow 6x03

Another great episode of Arrow. They are really nailing the balance of emotional moments, action and humor this season. All three were exemplified in this episode, so here are some of my favorite moments and as always my predictions at the end:

➴ Green Diggle

It is John’s first outing as Green Arrow and things aren’t going great. With the damage to his arm and the pressure of being team leader, John freezes out in the field and people are hurt because of it. He’s still keeping his injuring a secret and Dinah is still riding his butt about it. Rene snitches to Dad (Oliver) that Uncle Diggle isn’t at 100 so Oliver gives John a beautiful, heartfelt pep talk about how John is one of the reasons Green Arrow exists and that he is a better man and better hero than Oliver can ever hope to be. I loved this moment! They have been through so much together and to see Oliver unwavering faith in John Diggle is beautiful. Oliver is really good at pep talks and considering the amount he’s been given over the years, he should be an expert. lol. Turns out it’s exactly what Diggle needed to hear and he and the team are able to defeat the villain of the week. Go Green Diggle Arrow! 

➴ Mayor Queen

Oliver is taking not being on the team pretty well. For now. He’s concentrating on being a father and being the Mayor but he still has Team Arrow’s back. The city council is trying to pass anti-vigilante bill that will make Team Arrow criminals again and Oliver ain’t having it. Him and Lance work to stop it from passing but are outnumbered. So Oliver puts the vote to the people and is going to let the people decide weather they want the Green Arrow and co. looking after the city. Meanwhile Oliver is still dealing with the ever persistent and unwavering Agent Watson. Watson is still not buying Oliver’s innocent act and she’s not afraid to let him know about it. Her investigation is ongoing and she even has a board with Team Arrow photos pinned up. Unfortunately for Oliver and the team, I’m pretty confident there is nothing wrong with Agent Watson’s math.

➴ Three’s Company

Oliver is very much sinking into the role of Dad but it’s not easy. William is struggling with an upcoming math test and math isn’t exactly his forte, much like Shakespeare, and Oliver is at a lose about what to do. So he asks Felicity ‘three times mathletics champ’ Smoak to tutor William. Here we get an amazing bonding moment for Felicity and William who we haven’t seen spend time with William. William of course is totally smoaked just like his father and they agree that Felicity is very cool. Preach, my boys! Oliver seeing Felicity and William together pushes him to take the next step and give Felicity a key to his and William’s apartment. They have been putting the brakes on their relationship for William’s sake but Oliver feels like having Felicity in William’s life can only be a good thing. And they seal it with a very sweet kiss. I love what they are doing with Oliver and Felicity this season. They’ve really worked and earned them getting back together over the last season and a bit and I love the place they are in now.

➴ Stray Arrows

- Mention of Aunt Thea made me emotional! Come back to us, Thea.

- The Action! Holy awesomeness, Batman! The first scene with Diggle dive bombing off the top of a building and Dinah using her cry to push Diggle across to another building was freaking awesome! As was the camera work during the limo fight at the end. Shooting for inside the limo to GA and Onyx fighting outside and then moving the fight inside. So dope! Arrow is killing the action this season. 

- John Diggle/Green Arrow truck scene was hilarious! That song had me rolling. The humor this season is absolutely delightful. 

- Felicity is trying to come up with a name for her and Curtis’ new start up. I loved that Oracle was up on the board. If that wasn’t the writing taking a dig at the people who freaked out when they thought that would be Felicity’s code name, I will be disappointed. My petty side likes to think it def was. lol

- What was that ending? Diggle is buying drugs on the street? Oh dear lord! I hate it! Have we not spent five years learning that secret keeping never ends well for anyone. Also, Felicity went from wheelchair to running in heels, why wouldn’t Diggle think to go to them for help with this arm? I hate this! What is logic?! Argh! This was my only real negative with the episode.

➴ Predictions

- I think this drug addiction is what is going to end up pushing Oliver and Diggle apart. I think Oliver is going to find out and take the GA suit away from Diggle benching him and Diggle isn’t going to take it well.....I’m crying already.

- Someone (multiple people?) in Team Arrow is going to end up in jail because Agent Watson ain’t going to stop.

- The people of Star City are going to vote in the Vigilantes favor. No to Prop 52! (ha!)

- Felicity says that school will get better for William but I don’t think that is the case. I think at some point William is going to end up going to boarding school where no one knows he is Oliver’s/GA’s son. Maybe they send him under the name Connor Hawke.
