Hi!! Thanks for the ask!

'don't say you've missed me' is an au of my au. I don't know how often people do that, it has always felt a little weird to me, but I couldn't get the idea out of my head.

My (very) long-time WIP, 'wreck my plans, that's my man', is an AU where the Republic and Anakin never fall, Palpatine was killed in his office by Mace and Anakin, so Luke and Leia were raised by Padme and Anakin. The twins were raised to be pseudo Jedi/politicians, and Luke is asked to be the Ambassador to Mandalore as they attempt to join the Republic under Din's rule. Of course, Luke and Din fall in love, and life continues to happen. As I writing the sixth chapter of WMP, I kept thinking about what if things had gone differently. Spoilers here if you haven't read it, but Luke is asked to leave Mandalore, to be replaced by Leia because there are senators who believe Luke is too close to Din. Luke is telling Din he is leaving, Din is upset, but then the palace is attacked, a bomb going off. Luke ends up staying and they live happily ever after.

This WIP is really just based on what if the bomb never went off? What if no one ever attacked the palace? Luke would have left, leaving behind a heartbroken Din and Grogu without a teacher. It's set two years later, with Din coping, trying to teach Grogu the best he can, still refusing to let any other Jedi or Jedi-trained individual near him. Din learns that Luke is engaged to another, and has to come to terms that they will never be together. Then, it will have a companion piece focused on Luke during that time as well. Spoilers: Dinluke happens in the end, just with a little more angst.

Well, that was a longer explanation than I thought! It's been brewing for a while so, I hope I can start working on it soon as I finish up WMP soon!
