Wakandan Boys_Kpop Edition

 One thing I’ve always wondered when I watched Kpop videos was whether our men could ever pull off the look. 

You know, bold and bright colors, sunny deposition and humble. 

For me a lot of times I would see black men as “hood”. I don’t like that look. I still don’t understand why a man must sag. It’s not cute. So this is just a question I have often wondered. 

And I have the answer people,:

Yes they can. 

This idea came by from Winston Duke’s Essence video.  He’s been such an inspiration to me since arriving on scene.  He’s made me more confident I can actually find the kind of black man I would like as a husband someday. =D 

(And he finally defined the kind of style I apparently like on a man and myself : preppy! And no, I have no shame in that, thank you.) 

So this whole idea was really inspired by Winston Duke. 

So I will be making up a Kpop group based on the actors. This will be just an imagine. I hope that I can write an compelling argument that this could be legit. At least watching all those interview with the Wakandan cast will come in handy now. I’ve never before watched that many interviews with a movie cast before but I digress.... 

If you love kpop and you love Wakanda, hopefully this will give us all something to dream about.....

Stats: 

Group Name: Wakandan Boyz

Stylized as: WBz

Fan Club Name: WarriorZ. The group acknowledges the fact that their fanclub has strong men and women. So in honor of that the group agreed to name their club Warriorz. Mostly because it was short and slightly less pretentious than KingsNQueens. 

(Though, that is a pet name that the group uses for their fanclub. A secondary name, if you will. Michael frequently addresses the fanclub as “my lil KingsNQueens”) 

Official fan Color: Purple (think Big Bang light sticks except a purple crown and white handle)

Members and Positions: 

Leader/Main Vocal: Chadwick Boseman is a two-fer. He can both sing and dance.  It was actually him that this group was created around and joined the group 1st.  His stage name is Chade. Chadwick is the oldest and technically is the leader. Though he doesn’t mind speaking, he’s usually okay if someone else decides to do most of the speaking that day which leads to....

Sub Leader/Face of the Group/Main Rapper:  Winston Duke joined the group 3rd. He originally signed on as lead rapper but as the group debuted, he quickly became a visual and face of the group that no one expected. His stage name is M’Baku. Although Chadwick is leader, he is usually seen doing most of the talking. He also gets invited to do many variety shows and fans always seem to want to hear what he might say next.  

Main Dancer/2nd Main Rapper: Michael B. Jordan joined the group 2nd. He is a very good dancer and is backup rapper. His dancing is better than this singing. His stage name is the same as his first name although fans have taken to call him M’Bae. 

The Maknae/Backup dancer: Daniel Kaluuya joined 4th. He is the youngest in the group and backup dancer.  He’s the epitome of the “evil maknae” and can usually be found getting on someone’s nerves. That someone is usually Chadwick. His stage name is the same as his first name. 

The Visual/2nd Main Vocal: Ryan Coogler is the last (5th) the join. He joined mostly as a visual. He is the quietest in the group and 2nd main vocal. Though when he hits them high notes.......  His stage name is the same as his first name, though a fan pet name is Rye.

Most likely to aegyo: 

For the fans, they seem to want Michael to ageyo the most out of the group. It might have something to do with those dimples. 

The 2nd best aegyo is Winston, who seems to try to have a lot of fun with it since he’s ask to do it 

Ryan will try to some extent but he’s not particular. He seems to be a bit awkward about it. (Read that as shy....) 

Chadwick doesn’t necessarily try to aegyo but some of the things he does seem to go in that direction which makes fans happy.  So he is good a ageyo without even trying. He doesn’t mind it too much. 

 Daniel is the most awkward in doing it and usually try to get out of it(never does).  Though when asked, his first response is usually “Why Me? Do I have to?”  

Most underestimated member:   As with any group there is usually that one member everyone questions why they are there and it takes fans a long time to warm up to. For Wakandan Boyz, that member is Daniel. However as time went on people began to respect Daniel more and more and even like him. 

So now I ask: 

Whose your bias in Wakandan Boys? 

If there is anything I missed, message me and if it’s something I felt like I should have been answered in the beginning, I’ll come up with an answer to suit it. I still feel like I might be forgetting something important I wanted to add but here’s an added photo of Chadwick I found that I like.... 

Though it might have a lot to do with the decor....
