Dude what the fuck. And here is Archie, who first to realize their final goals are bullshit, and tries to stop Maxie from the fatal error. But then, out of curiosity, you're playing Alpha Sapphire. And it's slaps differently. Now, everything is opposite. And you're sitting here like woah almost entire plot is DIFFERENT. Like, okay, the «bones» of the plot is the same - but «meat», the insides of plot is different. It tastes different. It vibes different.

I love how oras makes them rethink everything. Oras makes them realize that their both positions are correct - just like everything in the Hoenn lives in harmony and balance, their positions can live together, and only in balance between them lies truth.

I think it's hits hard, because Hoenn is the region of duality and balance - different pokemon that makes duos, you're exploring water deeps just like you're walking on ground, even the double battles are first encountered in Hoenn. And then you have two seperate evil teams, and they're represents different things that IS IN Hoenn in balance. Of course it will hit hard when their leaders realizes that their conflict was silly and ridiculous. Of course it will hit hard when they're, two different men, will come to understand that everything here is living in harmony, and they're not exception.

It's hits hard already in Omega Ruby - this gentle feeling, the «coexistence», the «I suppose you may be right», after all that time they spend in conflict between each other. Perfect. (Maxie is just being a bit of tsundere lol)

But I think it hits even harder in Alpha Sapphire.

Because in Alpha Sapphire, Archie just straight forwardly agrees with Maxie - and i think it's something really beautiful. As if it is the point where they're finally ends their conflict and accept each other as they are.

Fucking perfect. Perfect.

(I'm also absolutely in love with this small bits of them calling each other by their names. I feel so much warmth and gentleness in these «Archie.. » and «Maxie..»)

And then there is manga. God fucking DAMN IT here is manga.

I love how they're interacting in the beginning - evil teams, different goals, etc etc.

But then something happens.

And this is the beginning of the end.

They're cooperate for a moment.

It's so fucking funny in retrospective - imagine best person in your life it's the man, which was your enemy once? It's so fucking funny. They're cooperate for moment - and then it hits them both. They're work perfectly together.

«We joined forces once, and we were successful»

It's an important quote for them in manga, I'm sure of it. It's important thing which will hit different once we will be in oras part of manga. It's an important thing for them, because it's the moment, when them, two enemies, realize, that they're work so fucking perfectly together.

And then, in ORAS, here is the moment when this quote hits again - again, it was perfect and good for them, when they're worked together. Again, their cooperation makes best results for both of them.

(Also, can we talk about how in ORAS manga they're talking to each other as if they're was partners all their lifes? As if they're best friends for all of their lifes? As if they're old married couple??? God fucking damn it. Holy shit.)

(And how in «that» world two of them became one? How them, the villains of arc and region which are build up on balance, duality and coexistence, fusion in one thing, while the beginning they was opposing each other? Isn't it funny? Isnt it fucking slaps reader's mind? Holy fucking shit.)

But manga doesn't calm down.

I don't have words for it.

Remember all these pieces with «join forces»? Here. It's the moment when it hits harder than anything anything else.

Imagine dying, and asking this. And it's even worse with that Archie doesn't even finish his sentence - but Maxie understand him without it. And OF COURSE he is going to agree. Because how he can not, when their bond became so strong? How Maxie can say «no» to this question, after everything?

duality is already a central theme for the album and we got a lot of that from the first two singles alone. love from the other side and heartbreak feels so good are so diametrically opposed in terms of tone and presentation and eVERYTHING (the former being this kind of grimly determined symphonic rock piece about grappling with one's place given the state of the world, the latter being a bouncy pop rock piece about what it means to pour your emotions into your art when your art is dependent on you feeling like shit) so this one sits in the middle. sharp riffs and a forward chugging drive and overlaid with that are these words.

Its a weird feeling these days calling these characters by those group names but ill let it slide of my mind like a duck with water so let's go

USA is a very versatile character and I like to twist his personality like a gymnist twists his or her own body. It's a hobby and sport for me at this point. Broken idealist? Yes your honour. Empire who despises empires? Fantastic duality. Arrogant and selfish bastard who promotes equality over all? Woah mama!

Germany is a fascinating one as well. He is a soft person with a love for dogs over people. He is thrusted into war after war while still in his dipers, twisting his personality, morals and eventualy his sanity dusk until dawn. You pity the man and hate yourself for pitying him.

Finland is an excellent character too. Naturaly because I appreciate the dualty he is packaged with. Very short, very soft spoken and very passive, while also being strong, oppinionated and feared. Banger! He is not the mom who bullys her kids bully, he is the mom that physically assaults the bullys parents.

I hate Spain. He is not happy go lucky. He is not a ray of sunshine and he is not oblivious. He is blodthirsty, manipulative and calculating. One moment you are offered some exotic fruits and the next you have a pulsating stab wound. Disgusting piece of hot garbage. Love it. Cant say I love the character, but I love the shift from canon and the inteicate workings of his mind and his very ambiguous morals. He doesnt owe me cash, he owes me his life. THERES MORE! so when i read fics i have read chan as an omega in fic bc i think it's fascinating the duality of writing. i feel like sea breeze is universal but i have a heavy bias for something sweet and strong like vanilla and bergamot. i think people have said his cologne smells like this? which, cool. mf could smell like a sweet cheesecake and ill eat him up. but also like, i also see him as pack luna(?) so like the idea of like intimidating people off with like a strong heavy burnt cream with an undertone of light citrus or nuttiness in his scent is kinda funny but like, he'd still be intimidating,

lino: okay SO i usually see lino as a beta but as the stats show, he's all over the place. i think in particular from a fic i read, mint stuck with me, and i think that's a very, stark, standout smell. like mint can be cool and calming but also overwhelming. i think scents like that work. I could see like, raspberry ish /grapefruit/basil/ really strong stark scents that can easily be overwhelming, as something for him. i think you guys said chocolate but i dont think thats stark enough. maybe like, orange chocolate, cherry chocolate? i think it really works for any designation BUT i did see one fic say with minho as an omega, magnolia, which i was like woah wow thats a good one but i think he needs more starkness to his scent. i think it just suits him so well.

changbin: OKAY SO changbin is hard to place bc part of me thinks he just smells really clean and like a bit like sweat, which can be nice when its just, clean and soapy. i feel like he tends to get kinda heavier woodsy scents, like sandalwood, teakwood, pine. which i think works. i think i also associated like, amber, which i think also falls under the woodsy scent. i had to go and look it up and one fic i read recently gave omega changbin a cherry scent which had me like hmmmmmmm, maybe. i feel like changbin just smells really good no matter what, and maybe i like the woodsy deeper scents bc thats what my cologne smells like, i do like that teakwood. i do also vibe with it bc upset hed end up smelling like charcoal or a campfire? which personally i love the smell of campfires, makes me feel all warm and cozy.

hyunjin: okay so floral scents all the way. rose, magnolia, lavender, cherry blossom. i definitely think he smells like a meadow, maybe a hint of citrus or fruit right underneath it. fresh, calming, relaxing. maybe also with a hint of rain in it. another one where i dont read enough in any designation to know if i lean certain ways with particular scents but floral all the way with hyunjin. i need to pay more attention when i read!
