Previous times I added small details which I would often not add in the next art, out of laziness and forgetfulness, but this time I am dedicated to stick to details, no matter how hard they may be

Since last epiphany I had on friday, I have been evolving my art studying beyond my comprehension, whereas I was lazy and unwilling to learn, I am now having fun doing it, the most important part

The IceWings are worried with Kibbles involvement with the Winter, he can't help himself, but his job opportunities to get closer to him might shrink

Also am trying to do something else, I am kinda tired of my lineart, it doesn't look good, I will never think it looks good, but I am falling in love with those coloured sketches, I hope to refine them even more

Why do you hate qibli

(Feel free to disagree though, I consider this all more of a thought exercise)

It all boils down to how he is portrayed, and if you consider either he is thinking fast or overthinking, and I consider the later.

I think this scene here shows everything wrong with his character "smartness".

He overthinks, reaching to no conclusion. Do you know who else thinks about all the possibilities in a situation? by personal experience, myself, and I don't consider myself smart by doing this, I overthink and reach possibilities with little evidence but the most superficial things.

I consider this rather a character flaw.

Remember that later in his book (if I remember right) Qibli summons a sandstorm that KILLS dragons just because he was overthinking a possible deal between Onyx and Darkstalker. Thorn's only so much as is mildly annoyed by him killing dragons. This is ridiculous.

It shows how everyone has a thirst for controlling something, anything about their lives, and I think this is what Qibli is trying to do. Predicting is a form of control.

His life also screams far, VERY far from a wholesome boi. He had an abusive mother who doubled down on him, only for her to be replaced by Thorn, who cares more about him but does not take the fact that he is a CHILD SOLDIER.

They are in the middle ages, I suppose, a very progressive one, so this isn't exactly what I will complain about. (Gosh, of course I will)

Qibli has street smarts, that's how I fix him. He is quick to think, to react and knows how to live alone. Everything about his life screams he must, as all his family sucked.

His character flaw however, is when he has to think more than a "quick think", he overthinks too much, reaches to conclusions that undermine his relationship with everyone... Everyone except maybe Moonwatcher, since she is the only one that can see past his superficial decisions.

His mind is screwed from his past experiences (welp, ALL povs of arc 1 and 2 have pretty messed up backgrounds and turn out better dragons? That's fantastical, to say the least)

Reaching in his own book, I see barely any reason to Qibli refuse Darkstalker’s deal, he is offering all that he ever wanted, power to make his predictions real, to change things for his likings, and Tui assumes he refuses just because he is “morally better than this”, no, I hardly believe anyone is.

So in conclusion, I hate canon Qibli, the more I thought about my headcanon of how he is a thug, the more uncomfortable I get with him being with Moonwatcher and that is it, I prefer my and my friends' headcanons about him rather than canon.

(PS, nearly any headcanon about wof is better than the canon, lmao)
