Three dudes from Portland, Maine playing instruments like "Hammer of the Abyss" and "Hate Patterns" should give you an idea of what we've got on deck. MO'YNOQ: Next is some more BLACK METAL from the YOU ESS OF AYE courtesy of Raleigh, North Carolina. And no I do not know how to pronounce this band name. A pummeling beat drives a groove that trickles out into some real grim blackness. This is from the upcoming split with the band UROCYON. Uncredited black and white cover art of the apocalypse riding out to greet us is a little too on the nose for the times.

EREMOS: Riding on the BLACK METAL train for another tune but this one is from Latvia. It's got some dreamy DOOM bits in the song as well. And there is some jazzy breakdowns with synth too. NAME YOUR PRICE

TENTACULT: DEATH/DOOM METAL from sunny Sacramento, California up next. They have it labeled as "weirdo uncle music" on the BC page and I guess that makes me all your very own WEIRDO UNCLE. I love the drippy intestinal logo. Also this fantastic cover art by Wyrmwalk interdimensional puking eye beasts for this title track from the album.

Onslaught of night, gathering storm. Untamed revulsion, twilight renewed.

GHOULHOUSE: Sick DEATH METAL from Swedish creeps in RIBSPREADER and WOMBBATH that pays homage to true necro freaks of years gone by. Think AUTOPSY, IMPETIGO, and REPULSION and you are on the right path. This is the shit your WEIRDO UNCLE loves!

SACRED NOOSE: Now we're falling back into the pit of BLACK/DEATH/DOOM METAL from this Irish three piece. It's thick and heavy vibes for brooding in your dismal dungeon mind. Cover art of the doomed soul climbing trees in a thunderstorm by Canopic Ire gives a good visual for the music.

Thus rests our void memorial Pawns mourning that which never lived

MORBIFIC: It's Morbin' time! Morbin' your WEIRDO UNCLE likes so it's what I put in the mix. DEATH METAL from Finland who I have featured in the mix before. This is an advance track from the band's upcoming April release. Evil gut throwing buboes pillar on this cover art by Chase Slaker has cultists gurgling "GET IN THIS PIT!!"

DORMANT ORDEAL: Closing out the mix (and the month) with this Polish BLACK/DEATH METAL from an upcoming April release. Blasting beats run you over as haunting melody scrapes up what it left behind. I dig this cover art by See Machine that features two skeletal figures spearing one another under a setting sun.

The band shifted to a more death 'n' roll-influenced style on their 1994 EP.

Internal Caustic Torments is their first album, released March 1993.
