anon this is such a good question, it was hard to categorise them as i obviously don’t know them, but i tried my best to explain why i made the choices i made, let me introduce my trail of thoughts to you:

(important! these are just my opinions and how i think the members would vibe with this, and overall just where i see them to be standing regarding dating)

1. cheol - now i think this is kun of an obvious answer, he is already taking care of 12 people and he is very considerate, best hubby material

2. minghao - i hope this is not surprising as he had stated several times that he would like to have a serious relationship with someone (in the future), overall he is very serious about love

3. joshua - he is another rather serious one about love; he would be a great partner since he is very observant making it easy for him to tend to your needs

4. mingyu - now this might be a bit controversial, but i genuinely think he could be such a great husband, perfect balance between goofy and serious if needed, would gladly tie his life with yours

5. wonwoo - he is a very gentle lover, but in my opinion he would be kind of free spirited, satisfied with a stable relationship without the label of marriage

6. dino - he is an old soul as many svt members have mentioned before, so would like something serious with his partner, wanting to treat them like royalty

7. jun - he is kind of serious too but is closer to the boyfriend label than the hubby one, well mannered and polite man

8. dk - he is a bubble of sunshine and would love a light relationship, being your boyfriend is perfectly enough for him for the time being

9. jeonghan - people might be surprised but to me he just doesn’t radiate a very serious relationship vibe, would love to take it light just like dk

10. seungkwan - same as jeonghan and dk, they give me the same vibes honestly, just taking it slow and enjoying the pink bubble they are in

11. vernon - he would be down for a relationship but he needs to trust that person, so i think he would need quite a bit of time to build a relationship

12. hoshi - he seems to be the type of person who is more into casual relationships (iykyk), so he is more like the fwb type in my view

13. woozi - he is just not into dating that much since he is kind of like the same as vernon, needing to trust them (but would very much be a hubby material if he had a partner)

⚘ He melts at how adorable you look

Seungcheol, Wonwoo, Minghao, Woozi (Yes even Woozi because he’s a big ol’ softie)

When you step into the room, he immediately melts. How can a human being be so adorable? He’ll do a once over to look at you. With your hair wrapped up in all those curlers, and you wearing your favourite clothes before bed, you look extra fluffy and squishable. He’ll definitely fawn all over you because he thinks you’re just the cutest thing ever. And also because he’s imagining you with your hair curled once the curlers are out. You’re going to look extra pretty. He’ll coo at you and make grabby hands while also patting the seat next to him for you so you can sit down. He’ll pat your head, giggling every single time his hand makes contact with the curlers. There’s this subtle bounce that he likes to see and feel. Be warned though, his seventeen ring might get caught in your curlers!

⚘ He laughs at how funny you look (endearingly of course)

Jeonghan, Joshua, Junhui, Vernon, Dino

He’s a menace so he’s going to laugh at you as soon as you whip out the heatless hair curling tools. Once you put it in your hair though? He’s rolling on the floor, clutching at his stomach and laughing until there are tears coming out of his eyes. Don’t get him wrong, he thinks you’re so adorable, but it’s just that you look so funny. Kind of like a clown wearing a really colourful, balloon hat. He’ll poke and tug at the curlers despite you slapping his hands away lightly. He can’t help it, he’s both amused and curious at how these things work. Like you just put it in your hair and then *magic* the hair stays curled for hours? He’s going to continue annoying you for a while. Don’t worry, he’ll shut up immediately when you threaten to put the curlers in his hair to make him look like a poodle. 

⚘ He screams out of fright at how scary you look

Hoshi, Dokyeom, Mingyu, Seungkwan

What is this monstrosity walking into the room? Your head and your hair looks so big and weird. There’s weird things curled into your hair, and the same weird things are sticking out of your head at the same time. He definitely gets the shock of his life and screams out of fear. Although you give him a pointed look and reassure him that it’s just your curlers, he’s still not convinced that your head isn’t full of snakes. He’s going to stare at you from a distance and poke at your head timidly. He might scream or yelp a couple more times when the curlers bounce back from all the poking. He’ll only calm down when he’s sure that those things that you call curlers are safe. That said, he might still get scared in the middle of the night so be prepared to get woken up to something pulling at your hair frantically while screaming…

⚘ Bonus: Junhui 

After Junhui laughs at you, he would become extremely fascinated with the curlers. Like the sizes of the curlers are all different depending on your hair length? Then, he starts thinking and a cheeky evil grin appears on his face. Next thing you know, he’s grabbing your pet cat and trying to put the curlers in its fur. Somehow your cat just lets him? By the next morning, Junhui is gleefully pulling the curlers out, and you're left with a very fluffy, chubby cat whose fur is all curled nicely. Junhui might even borrow one of kkuma’s bows, making your cat look like a posh, spoiled princess.

i'm not really one for new years or rly doing anything for it, but i thought i should at least thank all my friends who have made this year infinitely better for me. i'm ngl, this year was really hard in many ways. it felt like me and my family particularly were hit with new things to deal with as soon as the old ones had ended, and we just desperately wanted a break.

my way of getting a break was talking to you all, writing my silly little delusions, and being able to have a space here to share my work. so thank you. whether you were a silent reader, liked, reblogged, followed, or gave feedback for my writing-- all of you have helped me so much this year. the love that my writing has received has given me such motivation to keep going and to keep trying, and i don't think i would've otherwise.

2023 has been like a rollercoaster for me. i had my ups, discovering kpop and seventeen, and my downs, struggling with grades and more.

scrolling through kpop and seventeen tags when i was a little baby carat, i was so nervous. i wanted to be friends with so many people here, to talk and giggle about my faves like others did. but i wasnt a writer, i wasnt even a big account.

however, my desire for friends who loved kpop and seventeen as much as me pushed past my social anxieties, and i began to talk to people here, praying they'd see my efforts, and like me.

so, i want to thank some of those writers and people who heard me, and who i love

When you’re feeling down, you would often think about Seungcheol’s arms. Yes, one reason is because his arms are extremely attractive and it lifts your mood. But more importantly, Seungcheol’s arms are the safest place on earth. 

Seungcheol is so protective over you, he’s practically like your guard dog. Like scary dog privileges? Check! No matter where you are, whether you’re at home, in a quiet street or shop, at a loud party, or an extremely crowded street, Seungcheol makes an effort to keep an eye on you. Even if you are someone who is more conscious of your surroundings, it’s basically second nature to him at this point. 

Seungcheol is always ready to step in to protect you from anything, anyone, and everything. At the first signs of danger or if he sees you being uncomfortable, you don’t need to say anything, he’s already there. Often, he uses his arms (and hands) to pull you away from danger like falling objects or people intentionally/ unintentionally bumping into you. Or, he would use his arms to physically shield you from any danger that comes your way. 

There has certainly been more than one occasion when you’re at home or in a store trying to reach something on the higher shelf when an object starts to fall on you. Of course, the physical touch and close proximity to his person helps too. 

Big strong muscular arms = warmest, best hugs. Seungcheol loves to swing his arms around you. And no matter how warm it gets, you can’t help but adore being hugged by him. Just when you thought your boyfriend could not get any sweeter and more attentive to all your needs, he proves you wrong. You’ve just been working so hard. It does not help that you are a perfectionist. He sees you studying anywhere between 8 and 16 hours a day. His heart aches at what all the stress and studying is doing to you. You look worn out, you get headaches easily, you haven’t been sleeping well. When he sees that, he needs to take care of you. It’s obvious that without him, you’ll wither away like a wilting flower. So, at times like these, and especially at times like these, he babies you even more than normal. 

Sadly because of work, he cannot be with you all the time even if he wants to. So, he does the next best thing. He checks in on you frequently (and passes you his credit card, telling you to order whatever you want to eat). More often than not, he texts you so he isn’t that big of a distraction. But when it’s near mealtimes or when it’s getting late at night, he calls or facetimes you instead. From the little inspiring notes that he sends, to the selfies or short videos of himself, that’s his way of reminding you that you should be taking frequent breaks, and that he will always be there for you. 

Of course, he does try to make himself more available for you. Regardless of how busy he is, whatever you need, he’s at your beck and call 24/7. He will drop everything he is doing if you need him. There have been several occasions when you were on the verge of a breakdown due to stress, and he’s shown up within the hour of you calling him every single time. He brings food, sweets, drinks, and more importantly, himself. He’s always ready to swoop in and scoop you into his arms. You can cry on him. You can fall asleep on him. The point is. You can lean on him. 

You’re his princess and he wants nothing more than to make sure you know things will get better after this difficult exam period. He doesn’t expect you to feel good all the time, nor does he want you to put on a brave face. It’s normal to feel stressed, but you’re strong. You can get through this and you will come out on the top of your class. There’s no need to put so much pressure on yourself. Even if you don’t feel confident, just know that he believes in you. He will be there for you, he will love you, regardless of what grade you get. If watching you study has told him anything, it’s that you’ve done your absolute best, and you should be proud of yourself. He knows he is.

He makes himself completely available for you to cater to all your needs. Regardless of how small or absurd your requests are, he’s going to be there to fulfill it. You want food? He can’t cook so he’s ordering it right now. You have a stiff neck and want a backrub? He’s already putting on the fragrant oils on his hands to give you a massage. You have dry eyes? He has eye drops ready. You want cuddles and kisses? His arms are ready to squish you and his lips are already puckered. You need a footrest? Yea, he’s already on his hands and knees. 

Okay, but seriously, he’s taken some time off work so he can be near you, and you bet he’s going to fuss over you. He doesn’t exactly leave you alone when you’re studying. He’s constantly in and out of your study room. He’s bringing you drinks and snacks, or just peeking in to check on you. It’s his way of making sure you are not overstraining yourself. He knows that if he just leaves you, you’ll probably never eat and never move from your position. Plus, he knows you well enough to know when you’re maxed out. The way you start rubbing your eyes more, squinting, rubbing your temples. That’s when he pulls you away (sometimes forcefully) from studying. He forces you to sleep or eat. With him being around all the time and often breaking your concentration, you do get frustrated and angry. You’re already irritable and there are times when you feel like him being around isn’t helping. Yes, he will admit, he feels hurt at that. But he has your best interests at heart. Because he’s so similar to you, he knows that when you are well rested, well fed, and have had sufficient sleep, that’s when you are the most productive. For that reason, he endures your frustrated outbursts, handling them with love and patience, just as you always have done for him, though he does try to give you a little more space. In the meantime, although he does try to step back a little, he’s going to continue doing what he’s been doing. Your wellbeing is at stake, and that is something that he will never ever compromise on.

As much as he feels the need to hover, you have your own study process. He understands, and he respects that. He swallows his worries about you not resting, staying hydrated, or you skipping meals. It’s only for this period anyway, you always make sure to rest afterwards. But, he ensures that his presence can always be felt around the house whether he is physically there or not. 

You see, he turns to doing other things for you that he knows will bring you little pockets of joy, comfort, and peace. It’s his acts of service that help to ground you when you are feeling so stressed like your head is about to explode. His actions always make you feel loved and cared for. In a way, it helps to lift that additional burden of having to worry about taking care of yourself during exam season. 

When you emerge from your room, you would see that the old dishes have been washed and put away. There’s a whole new bunch of your favourite snacks in the kitchen, along with a note attached that tells you what time to expect your favourite foods to be delivered. That way, you will be able to eat warm meals at regular times. He has ensured that there is water on the counter and a selection of drinks for you to choose from. Tea, coffee, soft drinks. You name it, it’s laid out there. Like your own little mini buffet snack and beverage corner. He finds it both comforting and reassuring to see how the pile of snacks and drinks have been depleted at the end of the day. It’s his direct, yet indirect way of making sure you’re fed and hydrated. 

He definitely picks up the slack around the house. He goes the extra mile to keep the house tidy, and to buy candles or essential oils with all your favourite fragrances. He will spray it around the house so that the environment smells good, and is warm and cozy. He also leaves his oversized hoodies around for you to wear. You always mention how his scent and the warmth of his hoodies brings you a certain feeling of contentment, comfort, and safety that is indescribable. He’s your safety net afterall. 

And at the end of the day, when you are finally ready for a break, he’s already there on the couch/ bed welcoming you. He envelopes you in his arms, pressing kisses into your hair. It’s his unspoken way of saying, “you did well today, i’m proud of you”. As you sit there, you can rant to him, you can have him give you advice, or you could just cuddle. It’s all up to you, he will always go along with whatever you want. More often than not though, it’s been a long day, and his presence is so soothing that you end up falling asleep on him. The last thing you hear before you succumb to sleep would always be him whispering “i love you”. For this period, he doesn’t mind that you can’t spend that much time together. He’s content with staying in the background and supporting you in whatever ways he can think of. It’s the least he could do because you always do the same for him, and maybe even more.

🐸 painting date with minghao

minghao x gn! reader | fluff | 200 words | no warnings

Ding, went the timer on your phone. Looking up from the canvas you had been painting on, you nodded in satisfaction at your work. 

“Someone looks happy.” Minghao noted. 

“Yea, I think I did really well during these 10 minutes. Shall we swap our canvas Hao?” You asked.

As much as you hated TikTok, you had to admit that it did have some really creative date ideas. You had come across some videos where siblings painted on a canvas for 10 minutes and then swapped with each other. The process was repeated for about 1 hour in total. When you saw that, you immediately knew that it was a perfect date activity. Minghao is one of the most artistic people you know, and he absolutely loved art. You were no different. In a way, you were both each other’s muses. 

Handing Minghao your canvas, you took his and set it down on the table. Within 10 minutes, Minghao had added onto your rough painting of a waterfall with a beautiful outline of the two of you at the corner. Now you felt kind of bad, you had decided to be cheeky and add on a cartoon painting of a frog onto Minghao’s beautifully painted garden landscape.

You gave Minghao a sheepish look as he stared at the cartoon frog. All he could do was let out an exasperated laugh. 

“Precious? Really? A cartoon frog? At least this painting will look pretty abstract with the juxtaposition of the cartoon elements with the realistic background.” 

Joining in on his laughter, you said, “see, you get it Hao!” 

When you both quietened down, you set the clock again for 10 minutes and got to work on your paintings. By the end of the afternoon, you had 2 freshly painted artworks to display in your house - a gorgeous landscape piece depicting both of you at a waterfall, and a goofy cartoon collection of animals in a realistic looking garden.

Mingyu’s cause of death - you. 

Mingyu thinks you are the cutest thing ever. You’re just so soft and cuddly with the most pinchable, fluffy cheeks. He will coo at you and make grabby hands at you, indicating that he wants to cuddle or pinch you. He can’t help it. Something about your soft, plush, warm body just makes him want to melt into it. When he thinks about cuddling you, it just makes him a big giggly mess. 

Please stop squirming and stay still. Just let him wrap his gigantic arms around you. This big baby will not stop whining if you don’t. 

Will cling onto you like a baby koala on its mother. At this point I think you just have to wear Mingyu like an oversized backpack.

It was a rare sight to see you without Mingyu clinging onto you. Your back, your front, your neck, your stomach, whatever part of you, you just name it, and he’s around it. So, to walk into the apartment you shared with Mingyu only to see him pouting and sulking at the corner of the couch while you were in the kitchen was quite a shock to the rest of the seventeen members. 

Still shocked, Jeonghan asked, “what did he do this time y/n?”

Looking up with a tired expression, you said, “well Hannie, you see, normally I don’t mind Mingyu clinging onto me, but I was holding a plate with food when he bounded up to me and latched onto my back. I ended up dropping the plate and it made a big mess on the floor. He’s banished from the kitchen and banned from clinging onto me until I can clean this up.”

Looking at you, Mingyu whines, “baby, I can’t help it you know that. When I see how cute and squishy you are, I just need to whoomp you from the back.”

Snickering, Soonyoung says, “yea y/n, you know, Mingyu is always talking about how he can’t wait to go home and cuddle his little squishy dumpling.” 

Upon hearing that, the rest of the members burst into laughter. There wasn’t a day when the members didn’t hear/ see things like, “my little dumpling y/n”, “y/n is the best plushie I could ever ask for”. It wasn’t that Mingyu would tell them that, oh no he would be too embarrassed. But they always see him texting you and Mingyu isn’t the softest person in the world when he is on the phone. 

Starting to feel bad that the members were teasing Mingyu, you made your way over to him and snuggled into his side. He took it as a hint he was allowed to cuddle you again and immediately buried his face in your neck. 

Coughing to get the members’ attention away from Mingyu, you said smugly, “well, it’s not like I don’t enjoy being squished even if I end up suffocating sometimes, I was just worried that he would burn himself or cut himself when cleaning up. Anyway, you guys are going to have to wait for the food delivery. The plate of food I dropped? Yea that was the fried chicken you all specifically requested. Oops.”

As the shock started to set in, the members stilled. Since Mingyu knew you had set aside a portion specially for him, Mingyu smugly looked at their expressions and laughed at their misery.

Jeonghan is obsessed with the little things. I’m not just talking about his fascination and habit of playing with little objects. I’m talking about Jeonghan’s love for the little moments and objects that he holds dear to his heart. I mean, we’ve seen how he treasures even a small piece of lego given to him by a fan. His little “aigoo” was so endearing (and adorable). That’s why I think Jeonghan has a gentle and tender soul, one that allows him to have an extremely sentimental nature.

Moments and objects, no matter how seemingly irrelevant or unimportant to others, will be treasured by Jeonghan. In your relationship with Jeonghan, it’s a trait of his that you will come to realise and absolutely adore. It’s a trait that makes you fall in love with him more and more everyday.

When you first meet Jeonghan and get to know him, whether as a friend or as a partner, you will notice the way he talks about moments that happened in his life. Obviously, you get sucked into his stories because Jeonghan is such a great storyteller. He tells you what happens, giving you just enough detail to help you understand without over complicating the story. He’s told you all sorts of stories, be it exciting ones about his trainee days, his days as an idol, or even the most mundane stories about eating bibimbap or going to the grocery store. Jeonghan’s way of remembering and treasuring these moments are not just confined to him recounting them. He keeps the objects associated with them as well. I guess, you could say that at this point in your relationship, you literally have a gallery full of objects that literally chart the whole history of your relationship. Each object holds the stories and memories that he made with you.

The objects seem random, and you sometimes question why he keeps some of them (they’re old and really you think they might be decomposing), but Jeonghan simply asserts that they are his precious treasures. Small objects include the faded receipts from your first date, a small bottle of sand from your first time at the beach together, a half used bottle of soap from the hotel that you stayed at during your first trip. Other larger objects include a bunny toy you won for him at the fair, your first set of couple rings. Jeonghan even keeps the random little sticky notes you’ve written for him over the years.

All the memories that come with these objects, all the moments you’ve spent together, nothing is too small or insignificant for Jeonghan to remember and treasure. They are all important to him, just like you. Jeonghan might be a millionaire, but it’s his sentimental nature and ability to value all the little things that makes him rich. And if the velvet box hidden (poorly) at the back of his drawer is any indication, he definitely thinks so too.

🍚 Afternoon nap with Jihoon

Jihoon x gn! reader | fluff, est. relationship | approx. 250 words | no warnings A/n: baby drabble because Jihoon deserves a lot of naps after the god tier album he produced.

Quietly tiptoeing to your boyfriend’s home studio, you peaked through the door to see the glow of Jihoon’s computer screen. You could hear the keys of the keyboard clicking as he frantically typed away. Walking slowly up to him, you saw Jihoon intensely staring at the computer screen, his face occasionally scrunching up in frustration when he saw yet another mistake. 

Normally, you would find Jihoon’s concentration and dedication to his work both admirable and attractive. However, he had been working on this same piece of music for almost 16 hours at this point without taking a proper break. He had only left the studio to use the bathroom, never even leaving to eat or sleep. 

“Jihoonie? Sorry to disturb you, but would you like to take a break?” You asked gently, so as to not startle him. 

“No. I need to finish this.”

Sighing, you placed your hands above Jihoon’s that were on the keyboard to stop him from typing. Annoyed, he looked up at you only to be met with your stern expression. 

“Let me rephrase that. You will take a break now.”

“Y/n, please, I really need to finish this. The deadline is in 1 day and I can’t seem to get this right despite staring at it for hours.” He pleaded. 

You shook your head and said, “Don’t you think that’s a sign you should take a break? Jihoon, I’m not asking you to stop completely, I’m just saying. You. Need. A. Break. Take a short nap, get some food, you will feel better after this, trust me. I’ll wake you up in a few hours, promise.”

Mulling over your words for a while, Jihoon sighed and nodded. You took his hands and guided him towards your shared bedroom. You dimmed the lights as he got under the soft covers. Joining him quickly, you shifted closer to Jihoon such that his head was resting against your chest. Humming a quiet melody, you ran your fingers through his hair. Soon, the rhythmic motion started to lull Jihoon into a much needed sleep. Before he fell asleep completely, he muttered, “thank you y/n.”

Smiling down at him, you watched his eyes flutter close, and you replied, “anytime Jihoonie, anytime.”

While others saw those words as a form of salvation, you knew that they would lead to your downfall. 

A quiet mutter of those words had you forgiving Wonwoo for every time that he let you down. Like the times he missed the dates you had so carefully planned, or the times when he missed your birthdays and anniversaries because he was too caught up at work. You understood the demands of his job, and the sacrifices you would have to make as the significant other of an idol. It meant that despite all the love you both have for each other, sometimes, there was simply no way that you could be his priority. Still, you forgave him. You stayed on with him. 

But there was only so much you could bear, and today was your breaking point. Wonwoo had promised you a big trip for your fifth year anniversary. One where you could try to make up for all the time and moments you had lost. One where you could try to rekindle the romance that had sparked so brightly at the beginning of your relationship. You had your hopes up and had excitedly made your way to the airport where you were supposed to meet him an hour before your fight. He never showed.

So, you returned to the apartment you shared with him with a heart that was broken from delusions of grandeur. The jagged pieces still tearing away at you. You loved him with everything you had, and now you decided you had nothing else to give. 

Tossing the remainder of your belongings into your suitcase, you turned to leave. Only, you were met with Wonwoo staring at you, eyes wide with shock. He looked like he had just returned from practice. As he looked between you and your suitcase, realisation started to sink in. His face morphed from shock to realisation and regret. 

“That was today. I’m sorry. I should have remembered. I… I’m sorry love.”

When you didn’t respond, Wonwoo lightly grabbed your hands, pleading, “I’m sorry. Please stay, let’s talk things out. I love you.”

Giving him a sad smile, you replied, “that’s cheating Wonwoo. You can’t always say I love you thinking that it will fix things. I love you. I really do, but I’ve held onto you for so long only to be let down again and again. I can’t do this anymore, I’m sorry.”

You gave Wonwoo’s hands a gentle squeeze before pulling away. With that, you turned to walk away from him and the broken shards of what had been left of your relationship.

Letting out a contented sigh, you slipped under the plush covers, sinking into the comfort and warmth of your bed. It had been a peaceful day spent watching movies with your boyfriend, Joshua. Speaking of Joshua, he had tucked himself snugly under the covers and was falling asleep, but once he felt the dip in the bed, he sleepily turned to wrap his arm around your waist. Giggling at his adorable actions, you placed a light peck on his forehead before picking up your phone to scroll through social media mindlessly. 

Although you thought Joshua had fallen asleep, after a while, you felt his eyes staring at you. Smirking, you turned to face him. 

“Shua, you should take a picture. I hear it lasts longer.”

When he heard your question, Joshua’s laughter ceased and a bashful expression came over his face. Chuckling nervously, Joshua scooted closer to you before asking, “You remember a long time ago, you asked me what my favourite memory of life in LA was? Before I came here to be an idol?”

You were confused at the shift in his demeanour, but answered him anyway, “You said you loved seeing the stars from the hiking trails. You said that looking at them made you think that you could see the future, your bright future, all that you could achieve.”

Humming in agreement, Joshua’s grip on your waist tightened. He muttered, “Yes, what I didn’t elaborate on was that I loved seeing the constellations from those hiking trails. Even with all the pollution, there were days when the constellations were just so bright. I guess… I was just staring at you because, well… the light from the bedside lamp and your phone illuminated this glow on your face? The glow really brought out your features, especially your freckles. I guess… I got captivated by them. Seeing your freckles littered across your face, your skin, it reminded me of the stars I used to see when I was back home.”

Lifting his hand from your waist, Joshua started to use his fingers to trail across all your freckles. Stopping to brush the freckles on your face with his thumb, he continued, “Your freckles, they remind me of constellations. They are the constellations of you. I… I don’t know how else to put it. They’re captivating, mesmerising, beautiful. I just realised staring at them, that like the stars I used to see, your freckles bring me so much comfort. It’s like I’m back home again, like I can see what beautiful things could be in my future again.”

Heart fluttering at Joshua’s revelation, you bring your hand to cup his that were still over your face and you ask, “what might that be?”

Leaning in closer until you could feel the warmth of his breath on your face, Joshua whispered softly, “You. I see you.”
