Day 8

Surprised I'm this far in and haven't quit yet. Anyways, new week, new body part. I was having trouble on deciding what to do, so I just said screw it and did eye week.

But that wasn't before binging the first four episodes of mashle because of a reco from discord peeps and a singer named Will Stetson. His covers are so good, I highly recommend them. His voice is so flexible and stuff. The song I'm talking about is his english cover of "bling boom boom born" I think.

Anyways, about Mashle. Mash is such a chill dude and so easy to root for. Love him. Also I might ship two pairings so far, gramps and the one dude who threatened gramps and Mash in the beginning. Can't remember his name, but their vibe is such "Our child has gone to school and we're so worried, will he be alright??"

Second ship is between blue hair and red hair. Haven't met red hair yet, so it's not like a complete ship. I mainly just ship them cause they remind me of Reki and Langa... Renga is such a good ship on it's own because there's so much canon material and I'm like 90% sure the english va's of those two ship their characters together. I'm 100% sure that the english va's of matcha blossom ship their characters together and I love it. If you guys don't know, currently talking about an anime called Sk8. Highly recommend, god is it good.

Mk here's what I have for the day, I know it's not much but whatever. Hopefully I'll get better as the week goes on. Oh, and the curse of the other eye is with me like it is all artists.

Midnight art rush yet again. Felt an incredible need to cook. Did I tho? I think so. I did know that I had to finish in one go tho or else I would’ve lost motivation and gave up lol.

This is based on that one song from Chicago that became a trending audio lol. In a way, they both reached for "the gun". Anthony (and Abel) was the reason the whole war in Spaceland started. On the other hand, Zenith (someone I haven't posted yet) was the one to actually drop the first bomb. I love my media where everyone is at fault and super doomed.

I will yap about Zenith and his beef with Abel in a later post, but for now you get a hand shot lol.

happy to have an offgun sunday show back on the docket but i can already tell this series is going to put a bee in my bonnet every week about late stage capitalism foisting its cancer upon all workplace cultures and turning things like internships from learning and exploratory opportunities to build skills and discover interests in a field, to an expectation of free/low paid but inexplicably pre-skilled labour. do you think ye olde blacksmith's apprentice showed up to the first day of the apprenticeship and the blacksmith is like "what do you mean you don't know how to shoe a horse?? that's so basic" no. the expectation of apprenticeship is that a newborn emptyheaded youngin with a vague notion that metal is cool shows up, and is taught how to blacksmith. the expectation is not that the young savant of metalwork turns up with a list of horses already shoed, including One Very Special One in the Royal Stable, and god would you please please please allow me to debase myself for you, o blacksmith? my resumé is just like the journeyman's!! this workplace culture is a modern invention!! they used to teach you things at work!!

[breathing audibly] i just think entry level should mean entry level, and that as much effort goes into gathering experience that makes people competitively hire-able, ability, opportunity, and luck also play a role. it is lucky to know your passion early enough to be able to groom yourself to competitiveness in a sharky field of work, but a person should be able to turn up for entry level positions/interning with an unabashed "i know nothing" as long as it's followed with an "and i'm ready to learn" and it is in neoliberalism's favour to allow work environments to cut their costs by eschewing the responsibility to teach. to train the trainee.
