On Lunar Sway and Classpecting
-aortaObservatory
In my quest to analyze all of the potential classpects that make up Homestuck's Mythological Roles system, I've come to figure that Lunar Sway has an effect on a player's specific classpect as well. A Prospit dreaming Heir of Breath will be a drastically different character in some measures when compared to a Derse dreaming Heir of Breath.
While 144 different individual types of people is a very broad spectrum, people are still individual and unique outside of that. Lunar Sway provides another angle of variation to consider when classpecting, and determines the approach a player may take towards their aspect and their class.
A varied combination of these three may produce up to 288 different individual "types" of players.
Aspect is the force that is most important in a person's life, whether lacking or abundant, whether good or bad, whether they want it or not.
Class is the intended role of the player, and how they interact with or are shaped by their aspect, either actively or passively.
Lunar Sway is the worldview of the player, their perspective on life and the world around them.
To shift gears, so to speak, I also came to the conclusion that aspects and classes both fit into Lunar Sway categories themselves.
Derse
Derse Dreamers have personalities marked by a distinct and restless skepticism. Whatever their waking circumstances, chances are they will live in a state of dissatisfaction (LIFE, PAGE). Rebellion is in their blood, manifesting whether they are fighting back against a fascist dictatorship, or the most recent trend in casual footwear (RAGE). Derse Dreamers are cerebral and self-aware (SYLPH); they have a far better grasp on the landscape of their own minds than on the world around them, which they can find alienating and confusing (MIND). But as so much of their identity is built on control (MAID), they will do their utmost to hide any insecurities, often with false humility or self-deprecating humor. They may be inflexible and pessimistic, but they are also great problem solvers (MAGE), facing conflicts head-on with shrewd, calculating minds. They see one true path among an infinite snarl of wrong ones (LIGHT, SEER). They tend to be introverted, but if you win their trust Derse Dreamers are extremely powerful allies (BLOOD). However, they find sincere vulnerability difficult and will often keep people at arm's length (KNIGHT). Letting go and living in the moment is hard for a Derse Dreamer; they constantly look toward the future and analyze the past (TIME).
DERSE LEANING ASPECTS: Light, Blood, Time | Mind, Life, Rage
DERSE LEANING CLASSES: Mage, Knight, Sylph | Seer, Page, Maid
-
Prospit
Marked by a flexible optimism, the personalities of Prospit Dreamers are reactive and intuitive. They naturally exist in the present, rather than look to the future or obsess over the past (SPACE). When making decisions Prospit Dreamers tend to rely on gut instinct and whatever emotions they are experiencing at the moment (BREATH). This makes them quick to act and reliable in a crisis, but it also can make them capricious (PRINCE). They have trouble thinking things through, and their feelings toward specific situations and decisions can change from day to day (WITCH). They solve problems with creativity rather than cold logic, often seeing multiple options with ease and clarity (VOID, ROGUE). Because they generally take things as they come, Prospit Dreamers are less rebellious than they are adaptable (THIEF)-instead of struggling against authority, they will find a way to coexist with it (HOPE, BARD). Possibly because they are so instinctual and flexible, they like having a defined set of rules-a safety net for their passionate lives (DOOM). Naturally trusting, they have trouble with deception or hiding their true selves, and will often worry about what others think of them (HEART). The self they project into the world is often not under their control (HEIR).
PROSPIT LEANING ASPECTS: Heart, Doom, Space | Void, Breath, Hope
PROSPIT LEANING CLASSES: Witch, Thief, Prince | Heir, Rogue, Bard
-
Despite this binary sorting system, it isn't necessarily an automatic tell of Lunar Sway. Nepeta (Rogue of Heart), Eridan (Prince of Hope), and Dirk (Prince of Heart) were all Derse dreamers despite being of Prospit-leaning aspects and classes. Karkat (Knight of Blood), Terezi (Seer of Mind), and Jane (Maid of Life) were all Prospit dreamers despite being of Derse-leaning aspects and classes.
When classpecting, it is also important to consider that Lunar Sway and class may also obscure a player's true aspect. I suppose the more well-known term for this phenomenon is "ghosting", but what I intend to convey by this is that it goes deeper than that, and "ghosting" is not necessarily limited to the Prince/Bard destroyer classes. A player may "ghost" depending on the combination of Lunar Sway, class, and aspect.
To use a canon example, Gamzee was a Prospit dreaming Bard of Rage. His Lunar Sway (Prospit) and his class (Bard, Prospit-leaning) made him appear as a Hope player (Prospit-leaning), and obscured his true aspect, Rage (Derse-leaning).
To use myself as an example, I am a Derse dreaming Seer of Heart. Originally assigned Mind (Derse-leaning) as an aspect by the official TEZ True Sign quiz, I later came to the conclusion that my Lunar Sway (Derse) and my class (Seer, Derse-leaning) had obscured my true aspect, Heart (Prospit-leaning), on the surface level, which a quiz could not accurately or adequately decipher. My desire to know more about myself and about classpecting... culminated in this blog. But you might have figured that out already.

Unique Magic: No Strings Attached. Misao can briefly control someone’s movements. Only works once per person.
Personality: Based on the Blue Fairy (Sapphire Fairy), Misao is a young woman that appreciates her human heritage a lot more than most fae would. Being born and raised in a mostly human town just on the outskirts of the Draconia domain, Misao does not rely on magic to complete tasks. When she was a child, she did grant wishes for the townspeople for a while, but stopped for unknown reasons.
Her fierce determination for self reliance and hands off approach to learning has made her the right fit for Heartslabyul. She admires Riddle for his power, but also feels that he is too sheltered to understand the world. Despite this, they have mutual respect and share ideas on how to properly lead people.
Classroom Chats
Chat 1 Bring Me to Life
"Not gonna lie, the talking paintings kind of freak me out. Their eyes follow you around and then they randomly strike up convos with you."
"Cater-senpai says they're great to talk to, but I'm not so sure…"
"How boring it must be to have to hang on a wall all day! Still, the magic behind it is cool. They say that the Sapphire Fairy was able to do the same thing to a puppet!"
"It could walk, talk, and even wanted to go to school like a real boy!"
"Imagine just being born and wanting to go to school of all places!"
Fin
Chat 2 A Whale of a Time
"You know, the Mostro lounge got its name from this HUGE whale. It was, like, the terror of the sea for a loong time."
"He'd eat anything, even whole ships! Once, a father and son were swallowed up by him too."
"By some miracle and quick thinking, they managed to survive and escape. Talk about your near misses!"
Fin
Chat 3 The Problem Solvers
"Hmm…"
"Oh, Yuu, whassup? I was just thinking about how often we rely on magic. I heard in the Valley of Thorns they use magic for everything! Fairies used to grant wishes, bless babies, and even make children."
"Oh? Shinko and I are fairies, but we grew up around humans who don't use magic. Sometimes we used to grant their wishes but...man, it got to be too much after a while."
"Magic can't solve everyone's problems, yanno? That's what my mama taught us!"
Fin
Chat 4 Misao and Ace: The Lie Detector
♥ Misao! Hey, didn't you say you needed help with moving your gear to the music club room?
"Oh, yeah! I appreciate your help, man!"
♥ Heh, anything to help upperclassmen!~ You guys are always there for me when I need you!
"Hmm…"
♥ What? What's wrong?
"Ace, what are you REALLY helpin me for?"
♥ *sigh* You got me. Riddle is mad and I need you to talk him down from it.
"Bro, lying will only get you into more trouble than you want."
Fin
Chat 5 Misao and Deuce: School of Tools
♠ A place where boys learn to get on the straight and narrow sounds pretty awesome, actually. I wonder if it had any success in helping them?
"Considering how many of the guys here are scoundrels, maybe a class trip is in order?"
♠ Waah?! You think so?! Who would you suggest has to go??
"Ehehe, Well, a few names come to mind, but they would probably put up a fight if I said who."
♠ ...I really need to become an honor student asap!
Fin
Chat 6 Misao and Cater: An Actor's Life for Me
♦ Mimi! I'm sooo booored. Wanna skip class? There's going to be an audition for one of Vil's movies!
"Sounds fun, but I really don't think you should skip class. You never know what could happen in just one day!"
♦ Aww, come on, don't be so fussy. It's just one little break. We could end up being major starlets!
"Tell you what, I'll cheer you on when you make it big."
♦ Awwwe! You really think I have what it takes?
"Ehehe yeah. You've got superstar potential, Cay!"
Fin
Chat 7 Misao and Trey: Conscience Science
♣ Ah, some of our underclassmen are up to trouble again...I'd better take care of it before Riddle finds out.
"You would think these boys would have a conscience to guide them. What ever happened to being a good guy?"
♣ It's easier said than done, to be honest. NRC isn't known for producing gentlemen.
"Mmm. That's quite obvious..."
♣ Hey, why are you looking at me like that?
Fin
Chat 8 Misao and Riddle: Of Rules and Regulations
"Do you think the Sapphire Fairy and the Queen would get along?"
🌹 Perhaps. They both had very strict moral codes. The Sapphire Fairy insisted that children should be raised to always tell the truth and follow their parent's guidance.
"She was merciful but not too hands-on either. You can't always rely on others to teach you a valuable lesson. We all have to take the training wheels off one day."
🌹 So you would prefer someone who is self-reliant? I see…
Fin
Relationships
Riddle: Misao adores Riddle and looks up to him. Riddle is hesitant to fall for her because he feels that they may be too different. She likes loud music, raving and dancing. She even has a tattoo! His mother would never approve of someone like Misao, but he's still drawn to her. She's honest with him, and she tries to reason with his leadership methods rather than becoming rebellious. Even though it appears that she takes the lead, Riddle does know how to fluster her and assert his authority as a prefect (she's more than happy to let him do it).
Trey: Misao doesn't quite like him. She has to be civil because of their mutual friendship with Riddle, but Misao thinks he's phony. He hides his worst traits and Misao would prefer him to be an honest shitty person than a restrained nice guy. Trey ignores this either for Riddle's sake or his own. Trey sometimes tries to appease her, but it usually backfires or she doesn't think he means it. They don’t really get into it, but that's because neither really have any reason to become enemies. They tolerate each other for short periods of time, which works for them.
Cater: They share a club together so they are pretty friendly. Although Cater is annoyed by his sisters, Misao actually acts like a big sister rather than a little one. Of all the seniors she could interact with, Misao likes to be around Cater the most. Maybe it's because of their star sign, but it's also because of their extroverted nature. Sometimes she feels like his mask is too tight, but there are moments where Cater accidentally opens up to her.
Ace: These two end up arguing a lot. One would think it's because of how much trouble he gets into and causes for everyone, but…it's really because he hits on her a lot. It's embarrassing. Ace doesn't care that Misao rejects him because he thinks it's fun to piss her off with his flirting. He also tries to bully her, but she has threatened to punch him if he crosses a line. He also sucks at hiding his pranks and brown nosing around her. She always catches onto him.
Deuce: Misao is pretty fond of Deuce. She finds his innocence endearing and warns him to protect himself. Deuce doesn't understand what she means yet. He secretly wants her praise because he's an only child. Sometimes he slips and calls her nee-chan. She doesn't mind since he's cute. Misao also has trouble with math so they bond over being terrible at it. She also encourages him to not be so hard on himself when he makes a mistake.
Kalim: His sunshine personality is so cute that it's almost offensive to her. Much like Deuce, she insists that he be more careful with his generous personality. Misao also scolds Jamil for still hovering over Kalim despite 'not being friends.' She's the one who encourages him to do things on his own and teaches him how to keep track of his school supplies. She tried to gift him a notebook and planner, but he forgets to carry that too.
Lilia: Since they're both fairies, they have a kinship. Misao doesn't know much about her heritage so she often turns to Lilia for lore. He's happy to tell her stories, but ultimately she has to end up going to the library. Since they met, Lilia will sometimes give her trinkets from the Valley. He's also impressed with how well she grew up despite being one of the only fairies in her hometown. They also get into it over music tastes, and the music club has to endure their debates.

Going through my old files from when I was a kid (all written by other adults such as teachers, day care staff etc) to see what I can find about my ADHD as a kid (despite the face I'm a predominantly inattentive presentation....
The inattentive symptoms I'm looking for are:
Missing details and becoming distracted easily
Trouble focussing on the task at hand
Becoming bored quickly
Difficulty learning or organising new information
Trouble comoleting homework or losing items needed to stay on task
Becoming confused easily or day dreaming frequently
Seeming not to listen when spoken to directly
Difficulty following instructions
Processing information more slowly and with more mistakes than peers
Let's see what I find:
So as a 4yr old I was:
Confident in my own abilities and determined to complete tasks by myself
Displayed good organisational skills
Good at sharing
Creative (I literally made a noughts and crosses board by myself)
Proud of her achievements
It seems I was obsessed with practicing my counting skills (either on paper or outloud)
I was very curious about things
I could see the world differently than others ("held up an A4 piece of paper, grabbed a corner on each side and turned it sideways announcing 'Look, I've made a diamond paper'")
In Kindy (age 5) I was
Decently good at everything but didn't participate in all activities
I did struggle a bit with maths and 3d shapes
I seemed to be an average student (doing everything to the expected level, in written, verbal, social etc)
I was good at pattern recognition
I absolutely loved hands on activities
Good with musical concepts
Creative
I didn't complete tasks on time
Good at oeganisation
Completes homework
Year 1 (age 6)
Confident in my own abilities
Able to follow a sequence of instructions to complete an activity

Getting really good at reading
"she can add and subtract numbers using a range of mental strategies and concrete materials"
Good at sorting and organisation
"she makes artworks about real and imagined experiences using different materials and techniques"
Something happed between the two halves of this year - this is where I go from an semi active member of the classroom (verbally and socially) to a quiet student (one who still asks questions when needed)
Year 2 (age 7)
"participate in class discussions when called upon" x2
"shows confidence when speaking in front of the class"
"will usually use capital letters and fill stops in writing" x2
Uses mental strategies more than written strategies for maths

"able to follow a short sequence of instructions to complete an activity"
"will ask and answer questions to improve understanding in class discussions" x2
My effort levels dropped drastically in all areas of schooling
"keen to undertake investigations to find out more about machines"
"she made an effort to get her work finished in the given time frame which has seen her work improve and her confidence increase
Year 3 (age 8)
"very quiet and conscientious student who works well within the class"
"she has put more effort into all school subjects and improving her pace with which she completes her class work"
"bookwork is beautifully presented and she takes great care with her handwriting" x2
"she is a gentle student who cares for her fellow peers"
"she effectively uses presentation skills such as eye contact, visual prompts and varying tone of voice"
"she can explain the mental strategy used to solve a problem and selects strategies to check her answer"
When using/exploring google maps "has been able to suggest possible explanations for differences in the computer image to the present day appearance"
"she participates with enthusiasm in regular physical activity and has been encouraged to recognise that it can be both enjoyable and important for her health along with a healthy balanced diet"
"she is a good student who always tries hard and displays a most cooperative and helpful nature"
"she has increased the pace in which she completes classroom tasks"
"I would like to see her continue with her home reading and table practice to support her learning"
This year we also had the NAPLAN tests (which sucked says high school me) but I did well above average for these in this year
Year 4 (age 9)
"she readily selects an appropriate strategy to solve problems and check the answer"
"she discussed comfortable and uncomfortable feelings and identified safe adults in her life" - why didn't my teacher include just a little bit more detail here (I'd really like to know what I said)
"she actively listens and interacts in games and roleplay in Indonesian"
"she is a polite and cheerful student who applies herself well to classwork"
"she is a wonderful role model to younger students and is always focussed and organised with her classwork"
"communicates confidently and effectively"
About an individual research project - "showed a pleasing amount of interest in her project and was able to create a sound display and was able to recall a lot of information from her own project when presenting a verbal report to her peers"
"able to identify positive qualities in herself and others and contributed to the list of helpful anti bullying strategies"
"Is a very helpful and friendly student"
"always applies herself well to all tasks and is has gained more confidence in asking for clarification when she does not understand an instruction or concept"
Year 5 (age 10)
"She is always well prepared, expressive and has interesting content"

"she is willing to try new procedures and is asking more often when she needs an aspect of her work clarified"
"her work [in maths] has become more consistent but at times she struggles with recall if terms or strategies but this is now becoming less frequent"
Works well in both group and individual situations
"she effective at fulfilling her tasks"

"although very quiet, she has participated well in discussions...this has continued to improve as her confidence builds"
"she is able to organise her thoughts and express herself well"
"she participates more frequently in classroom discussions and contributes quality comments and ideas"
"she is more willing to try alternate strategies and activities, albeit with some reservations at times"
"although she can be a little slow in completing tasks, her answers are fuller and more precise"
"she needs to be careful to keep her very good ideas well sequenced"
"she does need to ask more for assistance when needed"
"her recall of facts previously studied has been quite good"
"although she does participate in classroom discussions, this could increase"
"she is willing to try new things, albeit carefully, and is developing her individual skills to a higher level"
"she is a very valuable team member"
"she always gives 100%, is extremely dependable and has excellent work habits"
NAPLAN tests - I struggled in both the writing and English exama and was below average for my age group
Something again happened here maybe it was the fear of exams and the silence and the sitting still until the timeframe had passed
Year 6 (age 11)
"Her oral presentations are always well planned, precise, well delivered and interesting"
"she is always courteous when others are speaking, always aware of specific instruction and expectations given"
"misinterpretations of what questions are asking are less but still an area to be watched"
"her work efficiency is an area for concern"
"she has continued to show pleasing results in maths however she is not asking enough questions and this is restricting her progress. Her progress in lessons is very slow and this will need to be examined"
"she participates well in discussion, but can be a little reticent to do so." (Cause I got bullied by my classmates)
"she is very capable of tracking down information, retrieving the relevant sections and organising the data"
"She has a very positive work ethic and strives to do her best in all she does. An excellent model for her peers"
"she does need to be mindful to check her work to ensure all criteria have been fulfilled" - "in written work she communicates her ideas well, but must make sure she sticks to the point"
"she does participate well in discussions when drawn in, and when called upon confidently puts forward her views"
"she is very much the quiet achiever but also she has an extremely caring nature and is a good friend to her peers"
"she is reliable, courteous and dependable"
"she has the strength of character not to let others distract her but to stay focussed on the task at hand"
"her recall of facts has been excellent in all areas. Her time efficiency has improved and she is aware that this can be a challenge"
Right.....so that's it for primary school. I will be making another post about high school probably tomorrow. I am not tagging this as anything cause this is really only for me and I'll come back to this later

mbti✨ Advice from The Executive
estj (the executive)
mother
x
intp (the logician)
wee kiddo 👶
--------------------------------
[driving home from pre-school]
intp kiddo: [pouting in car seat]
estj mom: intp... would you like to explain why, you had a bunch of dirt and a worm in your pocket for show n tell today??
intp kiddo: ... i had my reasons...
estj mom: [trying not to laugh] [composes self] well, why don't you tell me what they were, because you're teacher thinks you were acting out for attention and i told her she was an imbecile and that my child doesn't need that sort of outlet. so, it would help if the next time i see her i had some evidence to back up that claim.
intp kiddo: you're gonna laugh at me...
estj mom: well, you're four that is a possibility. your reasons might be silly to grown ups, but that doesn't mean they're not important.
intp kiddo: not just grown ups... the other kids... i hate them...
estj mom: did they laugh at you?
intp kiddo: [looks out window because doesn't wanna talk about it] 😒
estj mom: [firm but fair] well, i'm not another child and i'm not your teacher.[jokingly] i'm the boss. so, why did you have a worm in your pocket for show n tell?
intp kiddo: [desperately] it wasn't for show n tell! ... i... [nervous to admit next detail] forget about show n tell...
estj mom: so you were unprepared.
intp kiddo: [soft lil voice] yes. 😔
estj mom: intp. you're four. it was show n tell. at pre-school. it's not a big deal. so, you were unprepared, continue with your reasons.
intp kiddo: i! ... was... just trying to see how it lived... it was the third day of my test... [excited] AND-AND this one didn't die! i think the others were too hot!
estj mom: see how who lived? the worm?
intp kiddo: yeah! SO-SO for um three days i kept a worm in my pocket, i had been watching them in the dirt and so i wanted to see what they did all day, ya know before i came over and pull them out for inspection. so i put one in my pocket but it died, then the next day i got some dirt, be-because it's their home and put that one in hope-hopping um it would be ok if it had some dirt but that one died too! so today i put one in with some dirt, a flower, and two grass, for- for food and left my pocket unbuttoned be-because i think the other ones died because they didn't have food or because they were too hot. AND IT LIVED!
estj mom: [with a big smile] ahh i see. and you told all this to the whole class and they laughed at you?
intp kiddo: no, i only got as far as... i have worm... and then they made ewwwie sounds and... laughed... and i didn't get to explain... 😕
estj mom: did you tell your teacher all this?
intp kiddo: i tried... but-but! she just said i made a mess! but i didn't mean too! it was an accident! i-i just- [tears welling up] wanted to... show... worm...[doesn't want to cry, so stops talking] 🥺
estj mom: [sighs] intp. there are two types of people in this world. those who make problems and those who solve problems.
intp kiddo: [silent tears welling up thinking they are in trouble] 😓 i'm sorry- i didn't mean t-
estj mom: ah. ☝️ lips moving. still talking.
intp kiddo: sorry. 😞
estj mom: those kids in your class, your teacher. they, unfortunately represent the vast majority of the general public. all of whom are problem makers. YOU are a problem solver.
intp kiddo: [tears stop, eyebrows hit the roof] 😳🤔
estj mom: you had a question about the worms. did you cry because you didn't get an answer handed to you? no. you attempted to solve the problem to the best of your ability.
intp kiddo: [nods head rapidly and proudly]🙂
estj mom: people like us, the problem solvers, will always be confusing and intimidating to the problem makers. because they're small minded people only concerned with menial things. they laugh because they don't understand. your teacher gets annoyed because she's only interested in making a problem of dirt getting on the carpet, instead of just cleaning it up.
intp kiddo: [little smile forms] 🤓
estj mom: [pulling into driveway] a philosopher once said; "be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid".
intp kiddo: 🧐
estj mom: ... it's also in that movie Almost Famous. good movie. we'll watch when you're 8. [gets out of car]

U.A file 217: Bonnie Tucker
Class: 1/2-H
Age: 16
Height: 5'7
Pronouns: She/Her
Sexuality: Het/Ace
Race: African American
Quirk: Hair Manipulation
Quirk Rundown: Tucker can grow her hair out to whatever length she pleases, revert it back to it's original length, and can control the overall density of her hair. This drains a lot of her energy, and depletes the biotin in her body. If she uses her quirk for a long time, she gets rashes around her eyes and mouth, gets very tired, and even develops muscle pain.
Personality: Tucker is quiet and reserved. She doesn't really speak unless she feels it's necessary. She also has a very sarcastic and deadpan sense of humor, and people often have trouble telling if she's joking. Tucker is prone to second guessing herself, and constantly feels as though she's far behind everybody else. She is a natural problem solver, taking on an open mindset with every problem she faces, and has a natural curiosity about the world around her.
Appearance: Tucker is a tall girl with dark brown skin, and big, thick, shoulder length, dark brown coily hair. She has brown eyes with long eyelashes (as a side effect of her quirk). She has a pudgy and athletic physique, and has pierced ears. Tucker usually has a deadpan expression. She normally wears the school uniform waistcoat, as opposed to the blazer. Her gym uniform is worn with the hem of the pants rolled up, and knee pads overtop, along with her wrist guards and roller skates. When she's in the workshop, her hair is pulled up with a scarf, and she wears a tank top and overalls.
Stats:
Power: 3/5
Technique: 3/5
Intelligence: 5/5
Cooperation: 4/5
Roller Skating: 5/5

Tumblr media
If we can get over for a moment our surprise that Heidegger’s girlfriend of all people didn’t “fucking love the science,” we may judge this article helpful and clarifying but also frustratingly evasive. As my greater frankness in recent days suggests, I think the hour is getting late for esotericism.
Our author and her editor are no doubt aware of her essays’s implications—Harper’s always has the best esotericism among the squalid ruins of legacy media—but seem almost to go out of their way to evade the drift of the argument. No, Arendt’s analysis doesn’t apply to Trump, except insofar as it inspires us to congratulate him for exposing an odious system—
The rhetorical effectiveness of Trump’s taboo-breaking proved the same thing Arendt gleaned from the Pentagon Papers: the American people already know their politicians aren’t telling them the truth. Trump did not need to create a make-believe world, because he appealed to those who had already lost confidence in the official representations of American political reality.
—but to what might the following, for instance, apply?
“Truth and Politics” engages with American politics only obliquely, but a few years later, Arendt had the opportunity to retrofit her theory of image-making to the United States in an essay for The New York Review of Books. In “Lying in Politics,” which recycles much of the material from “Truth and Politics,” Arendt discusses the trove of lies revealed by the Pentagon Papers. She identifies a class of leaders in Washington who, like the totalitarians, had appropriated the language and logic of science to promote a fraudulent image. Borrowing the journalist Neil Sheehan’s term, she calls these men “the problem-solvers.” Administrators such as Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara, she writes, “were eager to find formulae, preferably expressed in a pseudo-mathematical language, which would unify the most disparate phenomena with which reality presented them,” weaving chaos into order, reality into fiction.
And let’s not even discuss our philosopher’s opinion of career bureaucrats’ likelihood to be ethical agents in politics, lest somebody throw a Fauci prayer candle in our mask-mandated face.
Back when I was in grad school in the mid-to-late 2000s—my quaternary education, your favorite subject!—and everyone genuflected toward Giorgio Agamben’s critique of the War on Terror and its biopolitical tyranny over our bare life, an analysis he’s had no trouble updating for the days of masks and lockdowns and mandated medical treatments, one of the harshest things I ever heard a professor say about the Italian philosopher was that he had merely plagiarized Hannah Arendt. I wonder what our science-believers would think of that.

Edward Nygma/Riddler Homestuck Classpect Analysis ; Part 1
Going off of the generally agreed upon birthdate of Edward (April 1st) so this one differs from our original post where we had him as a Gemini.
━━━━━━❰・இ・❱━━━━━━
True Aries
“Sign of the Excavator”
━━━━━━❰・இ・❱━━━━━━
↳ Sign Class : Rust
↳ Lunar Sway : Derse
↳ Aspect : Time
↳ Class : Maid*
━━━━━━❰・இ・❱━━━━━━
↳ Classpect: Maid of Time
↳ Invert: Bard of Space
↳ Compshift: Heir of Space
━━━━━━❰・இ・❱━━━━━━
*Yes this is shown to be an only female class but fuck gendered things
Everything below the cut is just more information on the things listed. Part two will have our actual break down and analysis/thoughts.
Sign Class ; Rust
Adventure motivates Rust Signs more than anything else. They crave new experiences, the wilder and farther-from-home, the better. They are confident and energetic, ready to face the unknown. This dynamism makes them great leaders, but it can also make them foolhardy. Often, they don't posses the level of caution they should for someone so willing to jump into new things. Their willingness to trust can get them into trouble, but they are also incredibly resilient. Their ability to bounce back from trauma and injury leaves them as the toughest sign class on the spectrum. Rust Signs make great friends and traveling companions, but they also can be selfish and quick to anger. If what they deem to be an acceptable level of "excitement" isn't happening around them, they have a tendency to try to stir some up. They love the drama. They have incredibly high expectations for themselves and for romantic partners. If someone doesn't live up to these, they may deem them not worth their time. If they aren't careful, Rust Signs can end up in a cycle of excitement, followed by crushed expectations, followed by a quick recovery and new flush of excitement. — The Extended Zodiac
Notable Rust Bloods: Aradia Megido, Damara Megido, Xefros Tritoh, Diemen Xicali
Lunar Sway : Derse
Derse Dreamers have personalities marked by a distinct and restless skepticism. Whatever their waking circumstances, chances are they will live in a state of dissatisfaction. Rebellion is in their blood, manifesting whether they are fighting back against a fascist dictatorship, or the most recent trend in casual footwear. Derse Dreamers are cerebral and self-aware; they have a far better grasp on the landscape of their own minds than on the world around them, which they can find alienating and confusing. But as so much of their identity is built on control, they will do their utmost to hide any insecurities, often with false humility or self-deprecating humor. They may be inflexible and pessimistic, but they are also great problem solvers, facing conflicts head-on with shrewd, calculating minds. They see one true path among an infinite snarl of wrong ones. They tend to be introverted, but if you win their trust Derse Dreamers are extremely powerful allies. However, they find sincere vulnerability difficult and will often keep people at arm's length. Letting go and living in the moment is hard for a Derse Dreamer; they constantly look toward the future and analyze the past. — The Extended Zodiac
Notable Derse Dreamers: Rose Lalonde, Dirk Strider, Eridan Ampora, Equius Zahhak
Aspect ; Time
Those bound to the aspect of Time are fighters, full stop. Their lives are often marked by struggle, not so much because fate has it in for them, but because they are fundamentally incapable of just accepting things as they come. They value action over passive acceptance, even if that may not be the wisest or safest choice. Don't try to tell a Time-bound to sit still and look pretty. They are very goal-focused, and tend to value the destination over the journey, and you won't find them making that journey in any traditional sort of way. To quote cheesy posters found on many a guidance counselor's wall-"impossible is just a word". If you need a miracle, they are who you call. At their best, the Time-bound are empathetic and relentless problem-solvers. At their worst they are ruthless, defensive, and impulsive. — The Extended Zodiac
Notable Time Players: Dave Strider, Aradia Megido, Damara Megido, Caliborn
Class ; Maid
“One who makes [aspect], or makes through [aspect], for themselves.”
Those born with the Role of the Maid tend to differ from their peers. Generally alienated from the norm in some way or other, they struggle with what fate has in store for them, and fight to liberate themselves in order to be happy. The world seems to want them to give more than they are willing to with little payback, wearing them out, and only by gaining control of their situation and asserting what they want can they fully express themselves. While held back, Maids tend to bottle up their true desires and emotions, they may become complacent, even resigned about their situation, but once things reach a breaking point, or hopefully, once given a chance to break free, they will let their true demeanor out and seek what they think is best for themselves. They can show a passionate love for the things they deem important, while holding a similarly passionate contempt and dislike for the things that wronged them and those they care about. At their best, they are capable, understanding, encouraging and content. At their worst, they can be irascible, remorseful and become alienated from the rest of their circle.
Maids share a very close relationship with their Aspect, which can be often times as beneficial as it can be damaging. The struggle they need to face and overcome is often related to their Aspect, but that doesn’t mean they can only become happy if they reject it entirely. In fact, completely disregarding their Aspect can be just as toxic for them as being shackled by it. Freeing themselves to adopt facets selectively, or making what forcefully bound them theirs instead, turning the tables on their situation, but never casting their Aspect completely away, a fully realized Maid needs to know how to strike a balance. Once this balance is found, they can become an extremely effective and confident power to be relied on. Ignoring or dismissing a Maid’s struggle and desires, however, can easily turn them against you, and they won’t be afraid to hold it against you if things get bad enough.
Being one of the Creator Classes, Maids are the Active counterpart to Sylphs, and similar to them, their strengths lie in Making things. The power of Creation, Improvement, Growth, flows through them, allowing them to amplify their impact in combat or empower themselves with their Aspect. Not only that, but, while more prone to taking direct action, Maids can just as easily use their powers to similarly Aid and Enable those they’re fighting alongside with, allowing them to be reliable in any situation. They fight for what they want, and they are going to take it. — Homestuck Examination
Notable Maids: Jane Crocker (Maid of Life), Aradia Megido (Maid of Time), Porrim Maryam (Maid of Space)
Classpect ; Maid of Time
“One who makes Time, or makes through Time, for themselves.”
The Maid of Time starts out finding great difficulty in satisfyingly ending things, needing others to do so for them. They felt like their plans would definitely fall through, so they just followed everyone else’s. They are now more than capable of seeing what they start through to the end. While this may seem more like a Space thing, they actually love starting new projects as it gives them something new to plan out. Their projects do tend to fall into a select few types of things, though, thus leaving room for the familiarity of it all. — Rosespecting
The Maid of Time would have a similar set of abilities [to the Sylph of Time]. As the Active Counterpart, however, they would primarily Make Time for Themselves. While still able to perform actions for others, their focus would be internal, self-improvement through time and perhaps training, fated recovery and even rebirth. Making Time and Improving Time for themselves could be a similar skill to the Sylph’s supposed Time Freeze, but more oriented to protecting themselves and giving them the Time they need to escape or do what they want. They’ve got all the Time in the world to do what they need- They’re Made of It after all. — Homestuck Examination
Invert ; Bard of Space
An invert is where someone acts like their opposing title for a variety of reasons.
“One who destroys Space, or destroys through Space, for others.”
The Bard of Space knows that everything changes and finds the search for permanence that so many people have to be outright stupid. Everything is unstable, and trying to hold onto something that’s broken or doesn’t exist anymore is pointless to them. They move on incredibly quickly, and can only keep the company of those who do the same. To them, people who spend months mourning a relationship or death are boring and foolish. Sticking to what you know is only smart if what you know still applies to the current situation. — Rosespecting
The Bard of Space would be one to Destroy Space for Others. Destroying through Space may mean their ability to reach out with drawings or art of some sort to destroy a physical location, prophetic pieces of destruction, or perhaps a good old fashioned destruction of anything physical in their way. One could also think they could Destroy the isolationist connotations of Space, bringing their Group together- Or allowing Destruction through their own Isolation, not intervening in a fight and simply letting things go awry. — Homestuck Examination
Compshift ; Heir of Space
Compshift stands for “complimentary shift” and is where someone acts like their complimentary title. Each class is either Active (-) or passive (+), as such, an Active Maid of Time would compshift into a Passive Heir of Space.
“One who changes Space, or changes through Space, for others.”
The Heir of Space doesn’t worry about tomorrow, they just want to have fun in the moment they’re living in. They don’t plan their projects through, and tend to only finish things if it’s the same day they started it. They are very creative and simply have too many ideas to complete each and every one. — Rosespecting
The Heir of Space is one who Changes Space for Others. The manipulation of Space is a seriously powerful ability, but it’s also not the only thing the Heir would be able to do. For one, the may also Change themselves, dissolving into particles or even changing the composition or shape of themselves. They may alter the battlefield entirely and help the Session move on to other places when all seems lost. Changer of Creation and Changer through Creation, they could just as easily invent or make the tool that’d mark the difference between victory and defeat. But the power of Space is immense and lonely- The Heir should be careful not to be consumed by this power, lest they are left behind, and alone. — Homestuck Examination

And for no reason here’s Kenna’s character sheet!
Kenna Kay Frost (The Outer Worlds)
Kenna (Feminine form of Kenneth; Scottish Gaelic: ‘made of fire’, attractive/handsome) Kay (Greek: ‘Rejoice’)
Nicknames/titles: Captain of the Unreliable, The Unplanned Variable, the Stranger, That Blonde Bitch, Frost, Frosty, Ken, Ken-Ken ('only if you wish to die slowly') Cap, Boss, K.K. (by her crew) dear, dearest, darling, precious. (Phineas only)
Sex: Female (she/her)
DOB: 11/30/2253 (Sagittarius) Age: 32 (plus roughly 70 years in hibernation) Occupation: Freelancer, musician
Orientation: Bisexual
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Height: 5'7"
Weight: Excuse you!? (156 pounds)
Affiliation: Phineas Welles, Hope colonists, Groundbreaker, Monarch Stellar Industries
The first of Dr. Welles' successfully revived colonists, Kenna aided the rebel scientist in securing the needed chemicals to save the rest of the Hope.
Kenna states she was no one of importance-simply another colonist seeking employment. A rebel at heart Kenna is more than happy to do things on her terms and answer to one.
Clever and quick witted, Kenna’s strategy is mainly to confuse the enemy rather than cause harm- after all, how does the enemy know what you’re doing if you don’t know what you’re doing?
Description
Kenna is said to strongly favor her father Gabriel Frost, a former model, who was so attractive in his younger days was mistaken for a girl. The only things she inherited from her ‘short and boxlike’ mother Prudence are her blue eyes and 'manly' shoulders.
The quintessential blue eyed blond beauty, people are known to stop and stare at Kenna. She appears to be used to the attention but in truth just doesn't know what to do with it.
Tall, tanned and with a unique style, Kenna is kind of hard to miss. After arriving on Halcyon she has Conrad Sadik give her her signature haircut-  an above the temples undercut but leaving the rest past her shoulders. Kenna often wears her hair in a ponytail, twisted into a bun or in a lazy loop on top of her head when relaxing. She uses at least three products to keep her hair manageable.
Kenna loves bright colors and while she’s not wild about the duller worker class clothing she does enjoy the makeup and clothing of Byzantium, becoming somewhat of a trendsetter with her bold style.  She dresses down for her freelance work but loves to dress up for social events.
Kenna is a jovial sort, maybe not the brightest bulb in the box. Initially she is paralyzed with fear upon being rudely dropped onto Terra 2 with minimal explanation. She is however a fast learner and a decent problem solver. With her criminal background she is ‘proficient in getting places where she isn’t supposed to go’, getting her and the crew in and out of trouble often. Kenna often pretends to be guileless and bland, just a pretty face, to weasel out of trouble.
Though she admits she never fired a gun until arriving in Halcyon, Kenna picks up skill with pistols fairly quickly though she relies heavily on the Tactical Time Delay. If forced to do close combat she prefers one handers, something fast. The latter is also her weakness- while extremely fast in combat Kenna is physically frail likely due to her time in stasis.
Background
Kenna was born November 30th, 2253 on Earth, in the United States. She states her father Gabriel was a workaholic who never properly vented his stress, easily baited by his nagging wife Prudence, and the two fought constantly even in Kenna’s presence. He was a father in the biological sense and gave Kenna nearly everything she wanted but was aloof, bordering on cold. Gabriel still took a rather primeval view on his fatherly role, ‘protecting’ Kenna from unwanted suitors. Kenna’s mother Prudence on the other hand was upset she did not in fact marry up and treated Kenna like a burden instead of a blessing not wanting to give up things she wanted for the sake of her child’s needs. Kenna recalls mostly feeling like a roommate. She came and went freely even at an early age, with no rules or curfew. Later, Kenna would remark this made her feel independent and grown up but looking back it was very unsafe, even neglectful.
Kenna began seeking attention, any kind of attention. Falling in with a bad crowd she became involved in criminal activity by showing her ability to break into homes and businesses with her lockpicking skills, having to break into her own home on a regular basis due to a broken door that was never fixed. She also began a career as a petty thief. Over the years Kenna would be pressed with criminal charges for theft, breaking and entering and drug use among other things. She recalls her parents ‘yelled at her, but never did anything, they were so wrapped up in themselves’.
Her only love was music and for years Kenna begged her parents for an instrument, lessons, anything but money was tight. She saved her money and bought her own acoustic guitar, bought her own lesson books and while playing in the park met Rhett Heiskanen, a schoolmate of hers who happened to have a drum kit. The two bonded over music and frequently had jam sessions.
Over time they found other kids to join their lineup- keyboardist Hepzibah ‘Zee’ Warner and vocalist Christopher Lane -and an ever changing bassist- the trio decided to form a band, Icespell, performing at school, at the park and at parties. Things drifted apart when high school ended and college began. Kenna tried to get a degree in business but still had dreams of  being a rock star. She also ended up dancing at a strip club until college administration found out. Chris tracked her down one day and told her some good news.
Their demo tape found its way into the hands of a producer and Icespell played bigger and bigger shows, gaining traction. She and Chris grew closer against the others' wishes (and good sense) but Chris' constant cheating made the band tense. After his latest girlfriend got too close to the band as though part of it Kenna was furious and heartbroken. Between disputes about styles, the band’s name, and a constantly rotating roster of members it was clear they weren’t going anywhere fast. The last straw was Chris trying to coerce her into a record contract that left her influence in the band greatly weakened. Chris fired her for her refusal and Kenna was stuck working normal jobs where she kept getting fired.
Depressed and deeply in debt Kenna found a flyer advertising the Halcyon Colony. A fresh start was what she needed even if she had to be cryogenically frozen for a while- and had to keep her nose clean as part of her parole to be allowed into the program. Fudging a few details on her application, she passed the screening process and was welcomed onto the Hope.
As her hibernation chamber was sealed and she drifted off to sleep, Kenna's last thought was "Halcyon, here I come."
Except everything went horribly wrong.  Fun facts -Kenna’s blonde undercut ponytail was inspire by Sketch Turner, the protagonist of the Sega Genesis game Comix Zone. Her red attire, love of large pistols and ‘crouching moron, hidden badass’ schtick were inspired by Vash the Stampede, protagonist of the anime/manga series Trigun -Kenna’s favorite color is red -Her favorite foods are ‘anything extreme, especially spicy foods’ -She hates sprats and goes out of her way to kill any she finds.

tag yourself: STEM aesthetics
based off some friends of mine <3
neuroscience: shy smiles, mechanical whirring, pink lipstick and oxfords, meticulous analytics, always willing to lend a hand, loves deadpan jokes and puns, always excited to discuss what they learned in class with their friends.
engineering: ink-stained fingers, solving a hard problem when your mind wandered off (they needed that answer earlier!), sometimes forgets to take care of themselves, functional style with quirky accents, button downs with the selves eternally rolled to the elbow.
compsci: soft cotton tshirts and distressed jeans, being quiet until you get passionate about something, determined problem solvers, dry humor and a sharp tongue -- but always means well, works for hours at a time non-stop.
microbiology: the smell of ethanol, mischievous smiles and witty remarks,  white lab coats with crystal violet on the sleeves, a little too careful, pixie cuts or hair braided back, blasting alternative music in an empty lab, ripped jeans and chelsea boots, the crunch of fallen leaves.
math: scrunched noses and laughing hard, a little intimidating but is actually pure sweetness, cares a lot about their friends, doesn’t always know how to articulate their feelings but tries hard enough that it doesn’t matter, studies in silence when alone--but loves the background discussion of a study group.
physics: the smell of chalk, blazers over tshirts + converse, minty chewing gum (happy to share), takes more notes than necessary or none at all, has trouble focusing (always too much or too little), studies to classical music or punk (not much in between).
psychology: sweet-tempered but impatient when it comes to themselves, prettiest notes, loves study groups but studies better on their own, subtle type of leadership, classic style, short bob hairstyles.
biology: jack of all trades, tiny flower tattoos, hair tucked behind ears, messy diagrams, always keeps pace in conversation (and never leaves someone behind), soft pastel cardigans layered over all black outfits, the sound of a pen click, the faintest smell of formaldehyde, the tap of impatient fingers on lab benches.
biochemistry: a little reserved, excellent memory, dried flowers, subtle (but perfect) eyeliner, a bit pessimistic but doesn’t often express it, chipped nail polish, hunched shoulders and wide open laughter.
chemistry: combat boots and a wide grin, one eyebrow is still a growing back,  intense focus and quick problem solver, playful teasing, is so in awe of the world, likes making new friends but gets a little nervous meeting new people (they always pull though), sings while they work.
biomedical sciences: intense, wears their goals on their sleeves (keeps their heart tucked inside), blunt cut-bangs and minimalist style, classic anatomical and botanical drawings, loyal once they warm up to someone, wicked fast cursive note-taking, strives to be one step ahead--but is always there to help a friend out.

But be warned: Gangwar has no desire to spare your feelings. What you will find in this straight-forward, straight-talking, no-craps-given guide, is:
How to deal with rejections of all kinds
How to change your perceptions of people so you don’t end up screwed
Why a society that sees people as ‘good and bad’ is dumb
How the search for happiness screws us over
How seeking approval and acceptance kills our individuality

2. Do It Today: Overcome Procrastination, Improve Productivity, and Achieve More Meaningful Things
Are you also tired of putting off your dreams until “tomorrow?” Guess what! Tomorrow never comes. Am I right?
I’ve procrastinated and putt off my desire to write a book for a decade. I always came up with excuses like, “it’s not the right time.” Or, “I need to do more research.”
But in 2015 I got tired of this endless procrastination, and finally took action. Six months later, my first book was published.
Look, we all have limited time on our hands. And we’re getting closer to death every single minute. That shouldn’t scare. That should motivate you!
Time is limited, that’s why we must do the things we want: Today.
In this “best of” collection, I’ve handpicked 30 of my best articles that help you to overcome procrastination, improve your productivity, and achieve all the things you always wanted.
Plus, I’ve written an extensive introduction about my life and work philosophy.
And I’ve made many improvements and edits to the articles. So the content of this book is different from the articles on my site.
In Do It Today, you’ll learn:
1.Why we procrastinate and how we can overcome it
2.How to increase your productivity without being stressful
3.How to achieve more meaningful things in your life so you can enjoy it more
Are you ready to start reading this book?
If so: Do it today—not tomorrow.
3. The Lean Startup: How Constant Innovation Creates Radically Successful Businesses
The Lean Startup is a new approach to business that's being adopted around the world. It is changing the way companies are built and new products are launched.
The Lean Startup is about learning what your customers really want. It's about testing your vision continuously, adapting and adjusting before it's too late. Now is the time to think Lean.
4. Deep Work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World
One of the most valuable skills in our economy is becoming increasingly rare. If you master this skill, you'll achieve extraordinary results.
Deep Work is an indispensable guide to anyone seeking focused success in a distracted world.
'Deep work' is the ability to focus without distraction on a cognitively demanding task. Coined by author and professor Cal Newport on his popular blog Study Hacks, deep work will make you better at what you do, let you achieve more in less time and provide the sense of true fulfilment that comes from the mastery of a skill. In short, deep work is like a superpower in our increasingly competitive economy.
And yet most people, whether knowledge workers in noisy open-plan offices or creatives struggling to sharpen their vision, have lost the ability to go deep - spending their days instead in a frantic blur of email and social media, not even realising there's a better way.
A mix of cultural criticism and actionable advice, DEEP WORK takes the reader on a journey through memorable stories -- from Carl Jung building a stone tower in the woods to focus his mind, to a social media pioneer buying a round-trip business class ticket to Tokyo to write a book free from distraction in the air -- and surprising suggestions, such as the claim that most serious professionals should quit social media and that you should practice being bored.
Put simply: developing and cultivating a deep work practice is one of the best decisions you can make in an increasingly distracted world and this book will point the way.
5. Understanding Millennials: A guide to working with todays generation

8. Mahatma Gandhi Autobiography: The Story Of My Experiments With Truth
This unusual autobiography “The Story of My Experiments with Truth”, is a window to the workings of Mahatma Gandhi’s mind – a window to the emotions of his heart – a window to understanding what drove this seemingly ordinary man to the heights of being the father of a nation – India. Starting with his days as a boy, Gandhi takes one through his trials and turmoils and situations that moulded his philosophy of life – going through child marriage, his studies in England, practicing Law in South Africa – and his Satyagraha there – to the early beginnings of the Independence movement in India. He did not aim to write an autobiography but rather share the experience of his various experiments with truth to arrive at what he perceived as Absolute Truth – the ideal of his struggle against racism, violence and colonialism.
9. How to Enjoy Your Life and Your Job
If you are not satisfied with your job and often struggle to achieve a work-life balance, you’ve picked the right book! “Count your blessings—not your troubles!” From ways to finding peace and happiness to insights on how to deal with people and make them like you at once, this book introduces good working habits and includes valuable advice on how to drive away the fatigue-producing boredom. With suggestions on how to relax and churn out the most of oneself and bring a sense of fulfilment, harmony and purpose, Dale Carnegie’s classic bestseller, How to Enjoy your Life and your Job, continues to help people reassess their approach to life, people and job and also helps them discover their strengths and talents.
10. Yoga and Stress Management
Yoga & stress management is a therapeutic guide for those dealing with mental and physical stress, as well as a reference book for healthy living. Although urban work culture has greatly improved the individual economic status, it has grossly diminished br Nature’s endowments. While modern psychology effectively helps in creating an awareness of what causes this, the Yoga philosophy is capable of changing one’s overall attitude towards life. This book combines both and provides valuable guidelines, tips, and techniques. Yoga offers the complete toolkit to deal with psychological and psycho-somatic disorders that are globally on the rise. With yogic techniques one can understand the nature of human consciousness and attain its higher stages. Using yogic practices like meditation and Pranayama, one can delve deep within and connect the body and mind to the inner self. By enhancing the latent energy in man, yoga offers a holistic solution to erase conflicts, suppression, and sensitivity.

Your True Sign is ARPIA, THE SIGN OF THE EXAMINER.  If your true sign is Arpia, then you possess the unique combination of qualities held by all Rust Signs, Derse Dreamers, and Light-bound.
SIGN CLASS: RUST.
LUNAR SWAY: DERSE.
ASPECT: LIGHT.  Those bound to the aspect of Light are the universe's knowledge-seekers. They are, above all, driven to learn and understand. They are great alchemists, able to take multiple sources of information and synthesize them into something useful. They are scholars and researchers, absolutely dedicated to knowledge for knowledge's sake. They are the ultimate students, and although that might conjure up the image of people sitting around peacefully waiting for knowledge to be brought to them, that couldn't be further from the truth. The Light-bound will go after knowledge with a fierce intensity that others may find distasteful. They aren't overly concerned with laws or norms, either. They often take rules as simple suggestions, instead searching for loopholes or work-arounds. At their best, the Light-bound are resourceful and driven. At their worst they can be fussy, pedantic, and insensitive.

Hey! I was wondering if i can get a general tarot reading about my relationship between me and my boyfriend (Nel), just like what's going between us and what needs to change. I'll send you a picture of us because your rules say is okay to do so, and maybe it will help you more. Thank you! - Valentina 🌻
Hello  🌻 Valentina!
A little birdie told me this 🕊
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What represents your relationship currently? XLIV - The Box
This relationship has a great potential. However, the shine of the relationship is being limited, be it through others’ opinions, both of your opinions, what is believed to be the norm etc. This relationship is being played out using what you know or expect to work consciously or subconsciously. This resulted in limiting the potential of the relationship.
The relationship could potentially become boring or lack the passion you and/or your partner hope to have in a romantic relationship. Try something new together. Remember that the relationship is between both of you. Are the expectations of your relationship formed from both of you or are they rooted from a source outside of your relationship.
Communicate with each other on what makes each of you happy, ticked off and the like. Be open to each other. Make sure that what you do for your partner is what makes your partner happy not what you expect would make your partner happy.
To put in an example for better explanation, it’s like you bringing your partner out to a high class restaurant because you believe that it is romantic and sure it does make your partner happy but they would be happier if both of you have a candlelight dinner at home prepared by the both of you together instead.
This would help igniting more passion into the relationship as one/both of you might feel that the relationship is lacking.
Through this, your partner would out in more effort into the relationship to woo the other to reciprocate the affection.
What does 🌻 Valentina wants in this relationship? Frog, Lamb and Rabbit
You want someone who can be your pillar of support especially during tough times. A relationship where you are not afraid of being vulnerable in. You want someone who is attentive to you and listens to you, be it happy moments or sad/ angry moments. Slightly docile as well. Sensitive to your emotions and takes good care of you to sum it up slightly.
Nel could likely be someone with earth dominant with water following after in his natal chart if you are interested in astrology.
(I am getting a feeling that Nel might have an earth sun and water moon, taurus energy too, he likely likes the finer things in life and does not mind splurging where he deem is worth it)
(I am also getting the feeling that you have air and water dominant in your chart, leo sun with air moon/ rising) [Please tell me if this is true, I’m trying to improve, thank you! :D]
You likely want someone energetic but drama-free, someone who provides you comfort when you are out of your comfort zone, be it trying new things or when you’re in a tough spot in your life as well as someone who would remind you to take care of yourself.
You likely prefer men who leans more towards the hairy side of the spectrum when it comes to appearance.
In addition, you would also like for them to be spiritual or at least someone who is open about spirituality one way or another.
You want someone who is able to provide you guidance gently and patiently.
You might also need to be patient with your partner as here as they are likely one who would prefer to approach you after thinking things through while you might prefer to immediately have a discussion.
What does 🌻 Nel wants in this relationship? Crocodile; Son (Knight) of Cups, 10 of Swords, Son (Knight) of Swords, 8 of Wands and 4 of Pentacles
Please prepare yourself 🌻 Valentina. Please read through this entirety before overthinking.
Nel is likely still thinking about his past relationship, this could be romantic, platonic, family etc. However, this person affected him a lot and could still be in contact with him currently.
He wants someone that does not lash out suddenly but is able to snap him out of himself when he got too absorb in the past. He wants someone strong and firm with him in this regards. as he is still has quite a bit to learn regarding emotional stability.
He is likely someone who prefers to keep to themselves when he has a problem and overthinks. This makes himself the worst enermy to him, which is when you come in. He wants someone who can get him moving.
For example:
Him: *Brooding and overthinking about someone with millions of potential scenarios*
You: Snap, snap boy! Get your shit together, it ain’t a big deal and you don’t know hoe it’ll end if you never start.
Him: But...
You: JUST DO IT!!!!
Him: A’ight girl, I’m moving, I’m moving.
You: FASTER!!!!
Him: OKAY, OKAY, MOVING!
Something like that.
He’d likely have a plan put together after a while of pondering on the problem but needs the push to get started in implementing it.
He’s likely someone who is creative artistically and could be surprisingly passionate about things which could come off as a surprise as he tends to protray a much more toned down when speaking about his passion. He’d be happy if you could recognise them and praise him. (He might try to be cool about your praise but he’s jumping right up cloud by cloud to cloud nine internally)
He likes to be in control and panics if he’s not, especially when it comes to the materialistic world. He would like someone who can calm him down and supprot him when that happens. He likely needs to learn to let go of control and let things flow.
What does 🌻 Valentina needs in this relationship? Mother of Cups, Judgement, 6 of Pentacles and 2 of Cups
You need a someone who is emotionally mature and is able to provide tender comfort, hugs, when you don’t feel the best. Preferably, those that listens to you ranting, crying and be like ‘it’s okay babe’ type compared to the solving all your issues/ being a ‘professional’ problem-solver, at least initially. After a while, if the problem persist than he would sit down with you to discuss how to tackle the problem together.
You should get hugs. You’ll feel better with hugs.
You need someone who have strong morals and objective, especially during tough times when your feelings are more volatile. Someone’s whose able to stay calm and logical and provide guidance in tough times.
10 and 2 might be numbers you’d like to take note of if they are repetitive during certain periods, especially 1010.
You need someone committed in the relationship who’s not playing around and someone you can connect to on the emotional level.
In addition, your relationship should not progress too fast. You are likely to be impatient and wants immediate results but you should slow down.
Your relationship should grow like a plant, carefully and tenderly and overtime, bears fruits and flowers. Recognize the smaller things and be grateful to them, don’t let expectations shift your attention from them. Enjoy the journey and you’ll find happiness closer than you think.
What does 🌻 Nel needs in this relationship? Temperance, Ace of Sups, 4 of Swords
He needs someone to balance him out in the relationship, someone opposite to him is ideal. For instance, when he gets too inactive in the physical world, he needs someone who could toss him out of whatever hole he’s in and get moving or if he gets too panicky about a situation, he needs someone who’s chill in that situation. Generally, someone to bring him back into balance when he gets too extreme in any particular situation.
He needs someone who is like a breath of fresh air to him or rather, he needs to recognize that you are a different person compared to whoever he is very affected by back when we were speaking about in what he wants in this relationship.
He needs someone who is mentally strong who can help him improve mentally. Again, he tends to overthink and make a small issue seem much larger than it is which could very likely leads to self-deprecating.
Remember all these stated is vice versa, both of you can and should improve together, this is stated in the generally manner of things, especially when things get tough for one or both of you.
Remember it’s:
Both of you VS Issue
NOT
You VS Him
Sit down, sip some good tea and discuss the issue. Write points down and address them if that helps.
Advice for 🌻 Valentina:
Helping her boyfriend 17 Minimus, 24 Paradisiacal, 6 Epiphany
Guide him through his tough times through discussions. Help him find the source of the issue that is bothering him and discuss methods to help/ solve the issue as likely he would have trouble identifying the source.
Be yourself not what you expect what he wants you to be. It is definitely understandable that both of you want to be as perfect as possible to each other but don’t compromise your unique qualities because they are amazing. They are, in fact, one of the most effective and unconscious efforts to bring him to recognize that you are not someone else and to not associate you with someone else. Be confident in your own skin!
Words of affirmations and hugs for him, especially since he’d have a tendency to degrade himself mentally. Smack your affection and how you view him into his face and shove it down his throat. He needs to know how amazing he is and you are happy to be with him but will be happier if he recognize more of his worth. Scream it at him. Text him. Leave notes. Attack him with hugs and kisses. Whatever that both of you fancy. Don’t go too crazy though. (Don’t take the screaming advice, it’s not advice but if it works go ahead)
On yourself: 5 Gilded Regret
Accept the past for what’s it to be. It’s alright to think about the past but remember the past is the past. Be it yours or his. Don’t let it linger and affect you, him and/or your relationship because of what has already left.
This is applicable to your boyfriend as well.
To improve this relationship:
43 Owl Spirit - You see clearly now
Quiet down and observe. You already know what’s needs to be done. You can see it clearly and not through a fog now. You have the power to see things clearly and decide.
You hold power here. You are the empress here. You know the wise decision. Don’t rush, don’t panic.
Simply observe and you’ll know. Be objective and listen to your intuition.
57 Squirrel Spirit - Believe in yourself
Be confident. Don’t keep relying on others. It’s good to hear opinions but they shouldn’t be the foundation of your actions or how you see your relationship or anything connected to your relationship to be. They should only provide another view to look at the situation.
You know best here. Accept and see different views before acting. Trust yourself and what your intuition and mind tells you.
28 Frog Spirit - Clear out the clutter
Don’t cling on to what’s not there.
Release what needs to be. Communicate with your boyfriend and understand each other. What is it about each other that has changed? Observe and learn to accept them.
Don’t bring the past into your relationship. Look at the present and the future, they are more important and requires both of your attention, not the past.
Understand where the foundation of your relationship lies. Understand what keeps the relationship strong and what weakens the relationship.
You do not need to toss out what weakens the relationship but communicate and improve on the weaknesses and create something out of them to strengthen your relationship. Once done, be grateful and release what is then in the past.
Don;t play games. Don’t explode.
Calmly present your emotions and wear your heart on your sleeve.
25 Elephant Spirit - Learn from the past
Again, learn from the past but don’t hold on to them. Appreciate what had happen and let them go.
Don’t let the past affect your emotions and the relationship.
Build on the past but never linger too long.
The past is like a museum, something to be appreciated from time to time but never affecting you more than what it had already did.
The divine spirit guides are guiding you, don’t worry.
35 Koala Spirit - Spirit has a plan
Do not worry, the divine spirit guides are guiding you, lighting your way however small the light might be. Don’t panic when things doesn’t seem to be going as expected or if something seems off.
Make sure to separate what came about from overthinking or rose-coloured glasses from the truth of things.
26 Flamingo Spirit - Embrace the in-between
Learn to appreciate even the smallest of things.
Learn to appreciate the good side in every bad situation and the bad side in every good situation.
Appreciate what is between the both of you. It is something beautiful and should be treated with respect and kindness.
It’s the little things, you know. People tend to forget that.
Bring them into your daily life.
Oh, you cooked? Thank you, it’s amazing.
Oh, tired? You’d worked hard.
You washed the dishes? Thank you, that’s very thoughtful of you.
Love even the smallest of things and you’ll be surprised at how much love can be accumulated. Every little counts, right?
Anything you feel even remotely about, say it. Communicate it. Don’t let them be stored within you. You should share what the other had done that made you happy. Cheesy? Probably. Worth it? Damn straight it is. Sharing is caring.
4 Badger Spirit - Be fearless and bold
Be confident. Trust yourself and your intuition. Step up to initiate something. The box we mentioned that represents your relationship has many layers. It’s time to break them to shine greater.
Don’t limit yourself. Don’t limit the potential.
It can be destabilizing but what’s good doesn’t come cheap.
We always say that the more challenges you’d overcome, the stronger you are. We can say the same with any relationship. Always remember that in this relationship, you overcome the hurdles together not separately. Work together, not against each other.
I believe that you already understood the areas you can improve on in this relationship. All the best to the both of you! May this relationship blossom beautifully. (Remember to tend to the weeds, water it and love and care for it)
If you require more assistance, please feel free to ring our doorbell again!
We hope this had helped you, 🌻 Valentina!
For now, the little birdie shall return home 🏡 ~ Ring our doorbell whenever!
Rest well 💤 ~

Character Quiz Meme || Send in ⭐to see my muse’s Homestuck ‘True Sign’
Your True Sign is
PIPIA
Tumblr media
PI* = Fuchsia Sign -- *PIA = Derse + Light
SIGN OF THE INQUIRING
If your true sign is Pipia, then you possess the unique combination of qualities held by all Fuchsia Signs, Derse Dreamers, and Light-bound.
Sign Class: Fuchsia
Tumblr media
Fuchsia Signs are the final of the sign classes, fittingly, also the most enigmatic. Possessing a strong imagination, they have an otherworldly quality to them that draws others in. Often, it has more to do with what they don't tell you than what they do, giving them an air of mystery that would more than likely perplex a Fuchsia sign if you told them about it. They aren't usually trying to be alluring-they're just lost in thought. Highly emotional, Fuchsia signs are sensitive and anxious, and tend to spend a lot of time worrying-about the world, the future, and what others think of them. They are artistic and talented, but can suffer from crippling bouts of depression, holding themselves to impossibly high standards. They have rich fantasy lives, and can get so caught up in daydreams that they sometimes forget to actually do things. Many Fuchsia Signs have trouble with follow-through, and it can take a lot to kick them out of their inertia. As far as romance goes, they need partners who are willing to put in the time to go at their pace, and who can handle how sensitive and emotional they can be. • Learn more about Sign Classes.

BERK ATAN? No, that’s actually EDGAR BONES from the MARAUDERS ERA. You know, the child of ENDER BONES and IRMAK BONES (NÉE KUNDAKÇI)? Only 29 years old, this GRYFFINDOR alumni works as an UNSPEAKABLE and is sided with THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. HE identifies as CIS-MAN and is a PUREBLOOD who is known to be RECKLESS, BELLIGERENT, and INTRANSIGENT but also TENACIOUS, JUST, and ASTUTE. — &&. ( CAMI, GMT, SHE/HER, 19. )
Tumblr media
TW: death, child death, blood, alcoholism (vaguely)
yoho guess what, edgar is a reckless idiot who somehow has gotten even more reckless and yall are gonna have to put up with it! he’s also just as likely as harry to name his next kid albus so there’s that tidbit of info. his favourite colour is lilac. now here’s some worse info:
I.
the child of relevant members of wizarding community AND purebloods, things could have gone much differently for edgar, but that’s a fact he’s taken long to comprehend. the role his loving family, that believed in him every step of the way, played is one of love for edgar, but not something he’d, until rather recently, attribute to the way his story goes - not the way his story ends. their values, their love, their care, his siblings; they were truly so important in the makings of him.
irmak and ender were a strong tree, with branches all around him for protection, softening every blow and fall.  their safety and encouragement nurtured a deep desire within him to do whatever he set his mind to, regardless of the consequences. after all, if he tried hard enough, he’d get all of his wishes. as a child, edgar wasn’t learning how to fly a broomstick as fast as his friends and siblings, and he didn’t have any particular wish to take the heights, but his assumed failure only propelled him to try harder. for hours upon hours, he’d lose balance, fall to the ground and then get back up, knees dripping blood. his father found him at dinnertime, taking rounds around the house, conquering for the sake of conquering alone.
that tenacity never left the boy, determining his future within the gryffindor bravado, his push for better grades, his detentions and self-made heartbreaks, all because the riot in him would not let him stand still. hexes and kicks, edgar quickly became known as one not to anger, a likely future brutal auror, given his yearning for justice even after the smallest of infractions, like a group calling a muggleborn slurs after potions class - because the world was his to conquer, should he chose to, and he had nothing else to choose.
entitled, they called him. edgar always prefer to see himself as an idealist instead.
the moral code passed down by his family was instrumental in the shaping of who he became. eddie always knew wrong from right, and that certainty let him see the world as black or white, with no room for the indecisions his classmates exhibited, or the inconsistencies of the ministry, every newspaper headline contradictory with the previous. the world around him seemed to tip toe and edgar knew only how to slam in.
his ways kept him close with a variety of friends, but especially to the other rowdy ones, unafraid to speak their minds and go just far enough to be thrown in detention once more. his ways also cost him the biggest thing he’d been after all of hogwarts: the prefect badge.
II.
becoming an auror had a certain allure to it. an outlet for the flaming energy inside him, and for his yearning for justice, being a source of scenarios in which he could play the detective, a role he so enjoyed. training was brutal, however, and every day passed, his desire to live forever beneath a badge kept diming. edgar’s lack for motivation was noticeable, as if the light in his eyes had purely shut off, and his mates encouraged him to pursue other paths.
politics was out of the question, too grey for him. healing bored him to death (and he was never that great at herbology anyway). eddie considered journalism for a while, but the likely future of a dusty desk at the daily prophet, carrying out their at times sensationalist work, made him not want to read a newspaper ever again. but edgar couldn’t be adrift. he’d made damn sure all his life he was pushing himself to be the very best possible, edgar with a plan, edgar ready to make a dent on the world. to accept defeat would have very easily broken him.
after short stints in ministry offices (from clerk, which lasted all of four days, to secretary, security, forgotten offices who’d hire pretty much anyway with decent grades) he became a hit wizard. his intellect suffered, not through any fault of his coworkers, but due to it being so damn close to auror work, except he couldn't call the shots, not could he investigate, piece together the puzzles like he so loved. in the meantime, he’d sought direction in life elsewhere: that pretty girl from the bar just at the end of his street whose talks of muggle films and news had always kept him for hours, drink in hand, too enthralled to sip. he hated the trickery of politics but he could hear her explaining the iron curtain for hours. anna had stuck around through every change, knowing little of the context of it all. then a little more. and a little more. small breaches of wizard law, small TREASONS. he’d moved in with her, shown her a spell or two. in a few years she was meeting his family, watching his cousins fly in a broom, reading his newspapers with the moving images and scary news of impending conflict. (even marrying the fool, later down the line)
hit wizard work is brutal, and it began to show. despite being an outlet for his inner riot, it put him in vulnerable positions, and anna worried - that simply had to stop. especially when she became pregnant.
to this day, eddie isn’t certain who dropped his name in the department of mysteries - he suspects his father, or perhaps dumbledore, who’d begun seeing him more often (he did enjoy placing pawns in place, not that edgar would acknowledge such a grey-area) - the young man found a letter inside one of his kitchen cabinets. another later that day inside his pocket. he as being summoned, should he wish to go. an interview followed. for hours, edgar sat - lies, he paced around in excitement - solving puzzles, enigmas, philosophical debates; the stuff he left at hogwarts and at auror training. at last, something that brought that light back, filling him with interest. there were no limits, no bureaucratic doors closing - the questions were secret and so were his answers. the puzzle solver was hired the following day, circling through various sub-departments until he got settled doing research on the subject of death a year before the shift of time. the questions that troubled him the most involved immortality and the concept of a chronological finish line. he laughs at that now.
the secrecy of his job was always the hardest part. eddie was never one to keep secrets, especially not when excitement ran through him, and he often spilled results and theories that had been found just because he couldn’t contain his excitement in.
sidenote: he’s a very gestural person. speaking for edgar means moving around, big physical gestures, arms flaying, a proper demonstration.
the conscience instilled in him in the past was raw energy when combined with his entitlement.the very same characteristics were what drew dumbledore to him, with a position in mind. edgar couldn’t say no to a side-job as a revolutionaire.  there, along with his work, was a change to leave something of value behind. plus, he had personal skin in the game then. his future wife was a target, he was a traitor, his children heresy.
eddie had, as well, his experience as a hit wizard, which made him useful for field work. that same bravado and need to fix the world made him devoted with reckless abandon. dumbledore was a figure he worshipped, unable to see the flaws in their own plans. there was no way he could have made himself bigger of a target during the war, especially when it was not nearly as quiet of a fact as it should have been that he was an unspeakable, with access to untold knowledge - especially one his enemies looked for. a traitor who knew too much and was too damn stupid to keep that to himself. edgar was a man with lots to lose living in the shoes of a man with nothing to lose.
that very year brougth another major event besides new career, the order and his first child: the murder of his parents, in the very hosue he’d grown up in, the very hosue his younger sister still lived in. visibly freaking the mold, perhaps even called traitors, the bones were a proeminent thorn in need of ripping out, and edgar got lost in the confusion of the year. he let it fuel him, of course, but he didn’t allow himself to properly grieve, nor to be present for his siblings who also needed to grieve. from a young age he’d been told to walk away if he was angry, to not mix such a horrible feeling and family, and that’s just what he did. the world was broken and it burned him from inside out so he stepped away and dealt with it (poorly) on his own, a decision that came to haunt him the following year once the dust settled. he’d left them, the one promise edgar couldn’t have broken - they’d needed each other and he’d left. not that he’s apologised as of yet, all these years, but the shame of his decision comes to light at times.
III. (the death tw and child death tw applies very heavily in this whole part)
the future comes with many harsh truths to take in. they won, but not really. the world had barely changed, so what was the point of all the sleepless nights, all the wounds he’d healed, all the missions he’d led? what was the point of standing proud in front of the masked foes? what was the point of burying his friends one by one? what was the point of dying as his children cried upstairs?
those were the news that truly shock him. edgar knew he’d get himself killed eventually, even if he did his best to deny it. but reckless, he didn’t think they’d come for anna, or for his three children. he’d set up protections, just in case, of course - wards around the house and portkeys in specific places meant for emergency escapes - but how could have expected a terrified seven year old to remember where they kept the music box that would take her to grandma’s house? the futility of it all hit him like a wave.
edgar dug in as soon as he learned, damned be the questions his line of work had taught him to ask. time didn’t matter, not at all. what did was the bloodshed his story told. which friends wouldn’t have made it either. his sister, who’d survive only to have to fight the same war again, with worst odds. himself. his family. a bottle of firewhiskey next to the folders he’d gotten from ministry friends and connections. both vices, drinking and learning the painful details of the truth, were self-destructive tendencies he’d thought he’d long escaped. perhaps that was the bones curse, to always crawl back to whatever wrecked them even more in times of hurt.
every newspaper article, trial transcript and even the crime scene photographs he chased hell and below to get his hands on. it was addictive, to learn exactly how much he could blame himself, how much he could blame the war, and who he should exert vengeance on. by now, he knows how to draw a timeline of the event better than any auror on the case, minute by minute, victim by victim, player by player; as he obsessed over it for the first week and a half, non-stop.
they’d followed him for days, believing him to be a way to the prophecies they searched, or to answers they might seek. and to take down a traitor. a rebel traitor at that. he’d been too blind to notice. they’d chipped slowly at his wards. they’d broken in one wednesday night, at dinner time, shortly before anna and the children had gotten home. edgar didn’t see them there when he put away his coat, when he saw the bags of takeout on the kitchen counter, when he asked the eldest, dahlia, if she had homework to do. like rats in the walls.
he’d died downstairs. edgar broke a chair against the wall when he learned. he’d died downstairs, hand reaching up, head rested on the second step. after short but brutal torture, in which he seemed to have revealed more secrets than most whistleblowers, he still died downstairs, his moral sacrifice for nothing - but he was probably desperate, he thought, desperate to reach up, where anna, dahlia, oscar and oliver hid, from where he heard his son yell for him, from where he heard the toddler cry, from where he eventually heard anna scream in horror. even if he’d died upstairs too, he just wanted to be there, the last barrier between the world he’d brought upon his family and them. no matter how much furniture and vases she threw at death eaters, anna came to a wand fight ill prepared, and she was the first to go. the small one in her arms too. oscar followed, holding a shoe - it was the wrong one, the portkey shoe just a meter away. and edgar tried to run, to climb, but he remained downstairs, not nearly as close. dahlia was later, he read, assumingly because she was the hardest to find - underneath a bed.
three weeks. that’s all he had until then. if the time shift had happened three weeks later, he’d be dead.
the aftermath was a mess. muggle neighbours heard yelling and called the police while aurors arrived, but not soon enough to stop the confusing murder of a whole household from hitting local news. in 2029, it’s a cold case, has been for decades. but edgar had learned the truth wizardkind knew and he let him fuel him. after darkness, he bounced back with the flaming hope that made him join the order: he could change things. if he tried hard enough, harder than LAST time. if he just worked hard enough, edgar could fix this and forget there’s a grave with his name - but he can’t. ever since it happened, he visits it nearly weekly. it was looking old, nearly forgotten, like the world had moved on without him, without his family, without amelia, without his fallen revolutionary friends. he’s cleaned them up, put some flowers on them. you see, this time he’s actually a man with nothing to lose, nothing he hasn’t lost before.
no amount of puzzle solving can erase the fact that he should not exist right now - edgar feels very much alive, perhaps more than ever before, now that blinding rage courses through him and now that the past is past and he has nothing to lose by trying a new timeline. but another him, just a few WEEKS older, is bone and dirt beneath a tombstone in his hometown, so now he searches for answers.
edgar is driven by the riot in his head, still very much the son of the revolution, even if his war ended forty-eight years ago.
NOW who’s ready for some character paralels? shadow moon (american gods), luke bankole (handmaids tale), meredith grey (grey’s anatomy), steven crain (thohh), elijah bradley (marvel), quentin coldwater (the magicians), sabrina spellman (tcaos), jessica jones (mcu) ?????
