Spooktober on World Anvil
Morning Tumblr!
My entire Spooktober collection is available to read on World Anvil, but once I receive my Participation Badge I shall be moving each one to a new article template in order to tidy things up. Read them now while they're all in one place!I
If you like what I've written, perhaps consider donating to my Ko-Fi, as I am saving up for a WA subscription to enable me to write MORE articles! (I only have two left on the Freeman tier so I'm saving those for Worldember at the moment!)

New Things...!
So… I've been playing over on World Anvil lately, and I'm having a lot of fun getting my stuff together! I've always been wanting to write and publish my setting, so I was always very cautious of posting online as I was worried that it would make all the work I have done on my books so far redundant. However, Google Drive is struggling with the sheer amount of work I have (I share this content with my players as needed) and I was just getting so fed up of having to constantly split content to make the documents more workable.
I decided the bite the bullet.
World Anvil will be sort of... my hub for all things that are common knowledge in the World of A'arde. I'm still writing guide books and such for my setting, but these will include things like secrets, extra content, and lots more pictures, alongside any reference tables, etc. I will not be posting my stat blocks or tables online at this time. In part because they're not complete, but you know...!
I will soon be releasing a blog post talking about my experiences with the free version of World Anvil, and hopefully my first podcast will talk about it too!
If you'd like to see what I've been doing over there, check out the World of A'arde page here:
AND…! If you'd like to see more content, why not help out and donate on Ko-Fi?!

NaNoWriMo Target Reached!
This morning I clocked in over 50,000 words for my NaNoWriMo effort. I barely scraped by last year, but this time I have managed to pull together with five days to spare! I'm very pleased with how things have turned out, but I still have a long way to go, and lots of writing to finish! The novel is nowhere near complete. There is so much I still need to flesh out, and so many notes that need transferring over.
So... onward! To the next 50,000!
This year's NaNoWriMo art is all by Reesa Bo Beesa.

Notes by Bryande:
““That man’s straight up creepy. I don’t think I’ve ever had someone so aggressively portent my fate quite like he did. Still gives me shivers just thinking about how CASUAL he dropped it, too. Totally uncomfy.”“
Neyon’s divination abilities unnerved the Kobold during their preparation for a big mission. Being told “not to be afraid of relying on others”, when his whole goal of the preparation was to get everyone co-ordinated so EVERYONE could rely upon each other, certainly had its unintended effect upon him.
NPC Portrait: Neyon Vihan

"When you gaze through the stars, what you see isn't always what you wish. Sometimes it isn't even WHEN you wish..."
This is Neyon, a Changeling Cosmic Witch who specialises in Divination and Enchantment magics. Whenever he uses his magic, Neyon has a chance to see a piece of the past, present or future. It's not always clear what the vision means, but it isn't always a good thing. Neyon has to be constantly vigilant about what he says, and as a result, finds it difficult to be around people. He keeps most people at arm's length, and has never had a close relationship with anyone.
In A'arde, Witches are a class somewhere between Wizard and the D&D 5e Warlock. Like Wizards, they use magic by learning the theories of the Weave and manipulating magic outside of the body. Unlike Wizards, Witches are not able to create a "Weave Channel" through themselves, and must enlist the help of Spirits or Patrons to channel their magic properly. Because of this, Neyon casts spells by preparing them through rituals into "Tokens" beforehand. The number of Tokens he can create depends on his level of power and his level of Mana Regeneration.
