I’ve always been interested in Greek mythology, and recently got around to read Mythos by Stephen Fry. While reading some of the descriptions of gods/titans/mortals it made me think of bangtan members.

So here you go! Bts as Greek mythology feat. quotes from Mythos (and a lil moodboard because I’m extra.)

Ps. I know the Gods are known for more than I’ve written but it’s the area of expertise I feel fits the best for each member.

I think I’m in love with…

Jungkook wandered down the street on his way to his regular café. The temperature was in the negative digits, but he forced himself to go outside anyways. Reason number one: because he needed to finish editing his project. After all, as an aspiring director Jungkook wanted to prove to his parents that he could make a living out of it. Reason number two: he got to see you. If dragging his ass out in the cold weather and edit the short film at the café was what it took then he would gladly do so.

You went to the same university and had some classes together. The first thing he noticed were your nails, more specifically the black coat of paint with a purple shimmer. As the semester went on you ended up in the same study group, thanks to Taehyung who apparently knew everyone on campus. Even though you studied together he didn’t talk to you much. Jungkook was shy, not that you minded anyways. Even though he was quiet he did give you that cute bunny smile when you said something funny.

Quiet study sessions at the café made Jungkook notice the way your hair fell, the way you constantly bit on that coffee straw, how any outfit looked perfect on you and the way you flipped through your notes. The coffee you drank always looked so sweet. He stared at the way you sipped your drink. “Is that americano that good?” Jungkook thought to himself. Feeling someone’s stare on you made you look up, as you did a flustered Kook hid his face behind his computer screen. That’s when he realized that his feelings had crossed platonic and was on its way to something more. Oh shhhh…

That was the third reason behind Jungkooks visit to the café today. After weeks of thinking he finally decided that he was going to confess. Jungkook was a cold, nervous, wreck making his way down the street. As he reached the coffeeshop he pushed open the door, and as usual you sat at the table tucked in the corner. In his distracted state he’d made his way to the counter and hadn’t noticed until the barista’s eyes stared at him. “Would you like to order?” “Yes, Americano please” he said sheepishly. The guy wrote down his order “uhhh. Anything else sir?”

“Hold on please oh! I would like an extra shot and extra ice” He had memorized your usual order by now.

“Large?”

“yes”

“Card?”

“No, Price?”

“It’s 5,700 won”

While paying and waiting for the drink he took some deep breaths and pulled himself together. Then he smoothly walked towards you. Sitting down on the opposite seat he slid the coffee over and was greeted by your smiling face. And that’s when he decides that here goes nothing.

As film majors you always talked about how your lives were movies in the making.

“Would you like to be in my movie? Like the heroine, the main love interest. I think I’m in love with you and you just gotta let-let my love adorn you.”

Your silence made him stammer, but the words had already left his mouth. Were you trying to find a way to let him down nicely? Or was the confession so surprising that you just didn’t know how to respond? His worries were unnecessary. While Jungkook was speaking you felt a rush of emotions. Happiness, joy and relief? Because THE Jungkook felt the same way you did. Trying to keep your cool as you sipped on your americano and leaned back on your seat. “So what do you like about me?”

Jungkook didn’t notice the way you looked at him with adoration, or the teasing tone of you voice. Feeling the nerves starting to kick in again Jungkook continued.

“I like the way you dress, I like your taste, all I want is you

Even if you don’t do anything, you’ll never be boring”

A blush started to color your cheeks as a result of his charming compliments.

“You just don’t know how beautiful you are. Even the word perfect isn’t enough for you.”

As the words came out of his mouth, he suddenly felt like he’d said too much. You were probably freaked out. He should never have done this. “iite cool talking to you” he managed to ramble before he planned to run for it. Maybe hide in his dorm for a month, or a century. That was the plan anyways, until he heard your sweet giggle and soft hands on top of his own. “Well of course I’ll be part of your movie.”
