"no one should be bullied for drawing a cubito with a certain bodytype" and "I'm tired of only seeing skinny / twink designs" are statements that can co exist. no one gives a shit (or should give a shit, anyway) if you draw the characters skinny. we just want more diversity of bodytypes.

yes you can unpack why you like twink designs more than other bodytypes, if that's something you've found is a trend in your preferences. yes you can learn to draw other bodytypes (and you should. I mean outside of fandom you just should). but you aren't being personally attacked if you see a post saying "I don't like twink designs" or whatever.

if you see a design you disagree with then don't interact with that work. not sure why everyone and their mother feels the need to broadcast the fact that they saw a twink design of a character they like. especially to mcytblrconfessions.

on the flip side, there is no need for 100 people to all rally behind twink designs as soon as they see one of those asks show up on mcytblrconfessions. like, no, skinny whiteboys don't need defending. they're not an oppressed class. shut up please.

"I want to see more fat character design in mcyt spaces" is an awesome and valid opinion to have and I agree. "this artist sucks because they draw everyone skinny" is a silly opinion at best and mean at worst. could someone's art be improved by adding body diversity? maybe, but it's not your job to shame them or even tell them that. they will learn if they want to. art is a hobby people do for fun.

I just think it is more effective to spread positivity and support artists you actually like re: character designs.

Tldr: stop sending your twink design hot takes to mcytblrconfessions, I don't care what "side" you're on. Skinny characters aren't dying out it's fine move on.

i recently found out im distantly related to daniel rumbletumble game. i wrote a fic of him fucking wilbur back when they were “dating”. im fuckign screaming

people don’t talk about it enough but desertduo/scarian is inherently abusive and shouldn’t be shipped or platformed. Specifically Thirdlife is the biggest culprit but their dynamic in general is just. Toxic and bad.

But like in Thirdlife their relationship is incredibly abusive. The power imbalance between Grian and Scar makes it where the two of them CANNOT be shipped together without it being morally wrong. Grian’s life was in Scar’s hands that entire series, Scar could (and did) hold that over his head. Heck multiple people talked about “rescuing” Grian and it was framed almost as a hostage situation. None of Grian’s choices were his own and I do not think a ship based off of that could be moral and sound in any way. Scar even did kill Grian at the end over a piece of paper, showing how much he valued Grian’s life.

The cactus ring shouldn’t be framed as an end to a tragic love story, but as a victim taking power back and killing their abuser. Scarian fans genuinely should go touch grass and realize they shouldn’t be romanticizing this kind of thing.

I don't regret my dsmp phase but I genuinely think its time for people to move on. No one should be making discduo posts and fanart in the year of our Lord 2024, no one should be making edits of c! Wilbur or discussing the motivations of c! Tommy, or cosplaying characters from the DSMP. It feels like people doing that are still stuck in 2021 and I'm scared for their mental development. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be watching the CCs, hell, last year I was still writing fanfiction about the CCs, but seriously, its time to let the dsmp die and remember the good old days
