Like Tsuzuru said, he is going to die . 

Maybe this is divine retribution for taking a vacation when he should be brainstorming for the next few scripts. Screw what Syu says, breaks are for people not named Tsuzuru—

Kazunari mumbles something in his sleep, rolling further on top of Tsuzuru and forcing out what little air he has. See? Tsuzuru is going to die, cause of death: Kazunari Miyoshi, who’s apparently a very cuddly sleeper.

He manages to pry Kazunari off of him just enough to breathe; Kazunari rolls over again, wrapping his arms around Tsuzuru. Cool. This is Tsuzuru’s life now.

A hand ruffles his hair. (Oh, god.) “Tsuzu,” Misumi whispers, “go back to sleep…”

Tsuzuru opens his eyes, staring at Misumi. He’d honestly expected Misumi to be wide awake, ready to drag him and Kazunari on a triangle hunt at a moment’s notice, but he looks as sleepy as Tsuzuru feels. Is he keeping him up? Is he jealous that Tsuzuru is currently being treated like Kazunari’s personal body pillow?

Well, okay, Misumi doesn’t strike him as a particularly jealous person, unless that’s why it took him four years to finally get a Super Mister Triangle. So he’s probably not jealous. Especially since Kazunari doesn’t really seem to have consciously decided to sleep on Tsuzuru.

Misumi smiles at him. God, if Tsuzuru were a weaker man, that alone would be enough to make him cave, and then he’d be spilling his guts to the unwilling objects of his affection at 1 am.

Well, at least then Kazunari might stop killing him via cuddles.

Tsuzuru, instead, trades one ill-advised late-night overly-honest statement for another, grumbling, “Maybe if you get your boyfriend off of me, I will.”

For a moment, Misumi looks genuinely taken aback. Great, nice going, Tsuzuru thinks, you’ve upset the friend driving you home. He’ll probably have to call Itaru or Chikage—or worse, Izumi— and beg them to pick him up from wherever—

But then Misumi smiles again, not bright and blinding but something softer, and all the anxieties drain out of Tsuzuru’s head. “It’s okay,” Misumi mumbles, “I don’t mind sharing~”

And then, while Tsuzuru’s still processing that, Misumi has the nerve to roll over and, presumably, fall back asleep.

man. what WAS my thought process for this one. i may have just been cuddle-starved?

this is a more broad commentary for the fic in general + my current writing process, but literary impasse has given me a true gift and that is that i've discovered i ADORE writing this funky little transition period where tsuzuru's, like, aware that he needs to develop better self-care habits but struggling to actually put them into practice. (god i LOVE writing fun transition periods. the early bits of relationships where the parties involved are still learning the intricacies in their partner(s)? glorious.) it's SUCH a neat little period of his life and it's really fun exploring the questionable mindset he's developed while acknowledging that he's, like, getting better about it.

i think this is the part of the fic where i realized that kazunari's "oh noooo they only have one bed...." could have just been something he made up, which WOULD have been pretty funny but, like he says later, he'd have been terrified to try that in case it didn't end well. instead he settles for pretending to be asleep to sneak in some cuddles <3 (had to check if that's confirmed in the text, yes it is, good on past chel)

i feel like i always write tsuzuru as someone who's down utterly horrific for whoever happens to be the object(s) of his affection in any given fic, idk if it's the projection or it just Feels Right. (i feel like this is EXTRA the case whenever misumi's involved, but that might just be because i've written a good amount of tsuzumisu(kazu) at this point.) anyway man is he SMITTEN in this one.

i also REALLY like writing misumi as the single solitary person with any sense in his head when it comes to romance, just because he has less anxiety than the other two, and boy is that true in this fic! one of these days i'd like to write a fic where one of the other two gets the brain cell. i keep joking that it'll be tsuzuru but god knows he would never.

i remember adoring this specific paragraph. in general i love contrasting misumi's usual energetic expressions with softer/more romantic ones. also i just love tsuzuru looking at the two of them and going "idk what exactly they have going on but i think they're dating? i think? i don't actually know?"

and finally i think i'm allergic to not shoving comedy into everything i write. someday i will write a full blown tragedy and it will still contain tsuzuru falling down the stairs or something

Request: hi! i have a really specific request so i understand if you don’t wanna do it or want to change it up! basically the reader can control all elements of nature (air, fire, water, etc) and tony stark kinda takes her under her wing like he did with peter. so basically he sets them up to meet each other since theyre both young and inexperienced and peter thinks her powers are lame until she shows him?? sorry its so specific haha

Tony Stark. He’s a mastermind to say the least but he’s someone who can see potential in people even when no one else does. Especially when it comes to kids. That’s where you come in. There were videos of you all over YouTube using wind, water, earth, even fire to save lives and help those who couldn’t help themselves. It wasn’t long before you were visited by the billionaire innovator.

Tony has since taken you under his wing, helping you learn and train. This is actually great for you because you get to actually work alongside him, sometimes, anyway. Plus, with him helping you, you get all new tech that helps protect you and keep you safe. It’s truly a giant winning situation. Until now, anyway.

Tony has the bright idea to bring you and Peter into the training room to meet. You’re both the same age and young, inexperienced. Tony’s idea is that the two of you could work together and learn from each other while also learning together. A sound plan really, until you meet him.

You introduce yourselves while Tony excuses himself so you two can get acquainted but warns the both of you not to break anything or kill each other.

“So, uh, w-what can you do?” Peter asks nervously, looking to his feet and back to you.

“I can control the elements.” You state simply.

Peter’s brows furrow as he shakes his head. He bites his lip and doesn’t say a word. By the silence and the expression on his face, it’s more than obvious he’s biting back whatever he really wants to say.

“What?” You quirk a brow.

“N-nothing, really.” Peter shrugs as his cheeks turn a little red.

“I know you want to say something. What is it?” You push as you cross your arms over your chest.

“It’s just…” Peter starts. “That’s kind of lame.”

You scoff and you roll your eyes, appalled by his words. No one has ever thought your powers were lame, not that many people knew but those who did thought it was cool. You could freeze anything you wanted and set things on fire. You could use wind to create tornadoes and pin people to walls. You can create barricades with the earth and use boulders to trap criminals. Controlling the elements is totally badass. What can Peter do? Stick to walls?

“My powers are lame?” You glare the curly haired boy. “Webs are lame!”

“No, they’re not!” Peter defends. “I created my own web formula and Mr. Stark seems impressed!” Peter starts boasting about his creation making you just roll your eyes again and shift your weight to one leg.

“Dude, you stick to walls. That’s your power. You created a web fluid. Anyone with a genius brain could do that. But your actual power is that you can stick to walls.” Venom is trenched in every word, not taking kindly to Peter's attitude.

“No!” Peter scrunches his nose in annoyance. “I can stop a bus, with my bare hands!” He tosses his arms out, the anger of you minimalizing his powers getting to him. “Everything is dialed to eleven so I can actually, like, I dunno, feel when something is coming and it’s bad and I can hear things other people I can’t. Oh! And I can heal faster than normal people! That's cool!”

“Oooohhh, big deal.” You scoff, putting your nose the air. “I can keep people away from me so I won’t need any of that.”

Peter throws his head back with flaring nostrils and boiling blood. He thought being able to train alongside someone the same age as him would be fun but he thought they’d have better powers or something. There was always something about the ability to control elements that bored him. Sure, he was a fan of shows that showed the powers but in real life? It didn’t seem like it’d be all that special.

“Fine,” Peter looks back to you. “Why don't you prove it?”

In a quick movement, you sent a gust of air his way and pushed him against a wall, pulling the air from his lungs and holding him to the wall for a solid thirty seconds before letting him free. A confident smile crosses your lips as you put your hands behind your back, swaying from the heel of your foot to your toes, proud of your action. Peter slid down the wall, holding his chest and catching his breath.

Peter looks at you, flabbergasted and impressed. “Okay,” Peter takes a deep breath. “I take it back. That was really cool.” Peter sends you a timid smile. “C-can you show me more? But..not on me.”

You send him a bright smile. “Of course but you gotta show me just how strong you are and how your webshooters work.”

“Deal.” Peter says quickly, getting back to his feet.

chels’ weekly faves

okay so i document like everything that i like under the pretence that i’ll be thankful i did it in the future; i make monthly song playlists of what i listened to most, have a comprehensive list of every kpop song/group i’ve listened to so far with whether i liked them or not, and even write down all the books/movies i watch and rate them in my bullet journal. so i thought to myself “hey why don’t i do that on my blog bc that might be interesting??” nd now here’s the first one of my “weekly” faves which probably won't be very weekly. idk what i’m gonna talk about yet but it’ll probably be songs, maybe videos or mv’s, and fics i really like. i can’t think of anything else i might add but this is highkey for me bc its something i can go back on and read in the future. ((also i won't have this unnecessarily long explanation each time but it’s the first one so))

so this week i haven't really listened to that many new songs that i can think of but i do have 2: 

crash - usher // shoutout to my boy rocky for playing this song in every astro play where he plays music. it’s been stuck in my head for like 2 weeks nd i finally got around to actually listening to it and since then, i’ve had it on repeat. 

really really - winner // this one is also a shoutout to rocky bc he played it, but more accurately to bin and eunwoo bc they requested rocky play it. highkey a bop nd i’m shook i didn't know about it before yesterday tbh

videos: 

similarly to songs, i haven't really watched that many new videos this week but i have been nonstop watching one i discovered a little while ago so: 

stop and stare cover - day6 // i don’t really remember how i found this one tbh, i think it was just recommended when i was watching some other day6 covers but this is probably one of my faves by them bc it suits their voices real well so it’s been highkey on repeat for me. 

rocky’s new Y.Y.Y. vlive // this was the only new video i watched this week i think bc i’ve been waiting for english subs on a lot of things, but it was 11/10 bc i love listening to rocky talk about dance and just watching him dance in general so, a great experience, would recommend if you're like me and hella late on watching it. 

i’ve also been watching the mv for UP10TION’S tonight a bunch this week for no real reason but you can check that out if you haven't seen it too
