Eyes fell on Lisa, the little girl who had been brought in. Charlotte remembers when she was brought in; even though it was years ago, she recalls how scared she had been. But back then, she was alone, and Lisa wasn’t. She made it her goal to keep Lisa safe. For the three years she was in the facility, Charlotte was the only one who was hurt—experimented on. Lisa, on the other hand, comforted her and hummed a tune Charlotte didn’t recognize, but it always managed to calm her.

It was hard to believe that Lisa lay on the floor life-less while Charlotte's body felt on fire. She was too weak to move, too weak to put Lisa behind her when the scientists came in. Even now- she couldn’t move; all she could feel was the stickiness of her own blood against her stomach while Lisa’s lifeless body was just a few feet away from her.

In some twisted way, Charlotte was relieved that Lisa didn’t suffer like she did; whatever serum was given had made her slip into darkness. She went peacefully—Charlotte’s mind was then jolted back to the loud sound of gunfire. Someone was here shooting, and it was only then that Charlotte’s body finally moved to hover over Lisa’s body in her last attempt to keep her safe.

Charlotte heard the door to the cell open, and all she could do was stand her ground, covering Lisa's body with hers. "Go away! You won't lay a hand on her!" Despite her exhaustion, ice formed on Charlotte's hands, and finally, she looked up at whoever entered the cell.

❝ I think someone's mentioned them already, but just to be sure, since they changed their URL, I wanted to make sure that the love is felt all around when it comes to @sah1x1s / @writingsinashes. Sah herself is just a fucking pillar to the RPC; she's always there for someone, even if they don't know who the heck she is. She's right there asking if it's okay to offer advice or a hug (virtually, lol), and do not get me started on her muses because there have to be at least 200 of them, canon and original alike.

Oh man, I don't know how she can jump from portraying a character like Bucky and turn around and PERFECT the darker side of his mind, Winter. Not to mention that she hears someone wanting to write with a muse? It ends up with that muse being picked up, and joy is everywhere!

A lawyer? That was a first for Ella; often, she ended up on dates with people who were artists, or fancied themselves as artists at least. Would this be better or worse? She supposed it would depend more on the person than their profession... But professions tended to say a lot about someone. What might this 'Cooper' make of her profession? It was only fair if she was going to construct thoughts based on his.

The sage-green dress she'd put on was nothing overly fancy, but it was pretty and suited the air of a rooftop restaurant in the warm early-summer air. Her hair hung past her shoulders in the loose curls that always resulted from the bun she wore to work. But the smile she wore as the waiter escorted her to the correct table was more gentle than those she'd give to possible patrons.

"Hello, I would say I'm sorry for being late, but I believe you were early. Or Susie told me the wrong time." Ella greeted with a quiet laugh as she offered her hand to shake.

"I got them a drink said, 'How was your weekend?'" Esme explains, talking of course about her relative Farryn or Adventure. "They have some wild stories, let me tell you." Esme says with a chuckle. "And they always do, to be honest." But that's their nature. They are Adventure, after all. So it makes sense to Esme that Farryn would be a bit chaotic.

"Would you like anything?" She asks the other person, a smile on her face. She's happy to get the other a drink as well, if that's wanted. Of course, that would mean going to the bar again. But that's okay with Esme.

Panic. Fear. Horror. Desperation. Hopelessness. Just a few words describing how Astrid felt the first few days of this hellish situation. People were dying only to return with a taste for flesh and blood. Mindless drones sought to sink their teeth into whoever was closest. The city crawled with them—in every alley, on every street, inside almost every building not already raided by their group over the last month.

She currently sat inside Dale's RV with Amy. Astrid was a friend of hers from college. When Amy and her sister were heading out on their road trip, news of the virus hit and was rapidly spreading. Amy, not wanting to leave her friend behind, begged Andrea to pick her up. It had been the three of them ever since. They had met a few people on the highway who seemed to be headed in the same direction.

Due to the traffic not really moving, a few of them decided to venture up into the mountains to get as far away from the city as possible. "I wonder if Shane's checked out those mushrooms yet. Dale has rice and broth. Maybe we can make risotto with them. I'm so sick of green beans and peaches." Astrid laughed.

The Evans sister's had discovered they were witches thanks to Severus. Petunia had been the first to arrive at Hogwarts, being sorted into Gryffindor. Not long after, her sister and Severus had followed, but it seemed they would be separated from him since he was sorted into Slytherin. No big surprise there. She remembered how he had always been talking about how great it was, but yet, kept whispering to the sorting hat not to put her in that house.

And here she was now, five years later, starting to regret that wish. It was strange, but looking back at it now, Petunia realized she had been too haste and judgemental when it came to Severus and his upbringing. Even if they had bickered here and there, having their moments, he had proven to be a rather intelligent and remarkable wizard for his age. However...she had noticed the way he started looking at her sister. It made Petunia feel like a third-wheel, no longer welcomed in the group.

There was a spark of...Wait. Was that...jealously?! Was she really jealous over her sister concerning him?! And yet, there was no denying the way her heart responded when just thinking about him. Merlin's beard...was she starting to fancy Severus Snape?! The answer to that was clear when she spotted him walking towards her, feeling how her heart fluttered. "Morning. If you're looking for Lily, I saw her go off with some of her friends. Did...did something happen between you two? She seemed...well...not like herself." It was as if she was avoiding him.
