Things will be different in the new year...
#em draws stuff#em is posting about temeraire#temeraire#william laurence#john granby#this image brought to you by watching my coworkers learning to tie good luck knots at our lunar new year workshop#the sheer laddishness of it all and watching them tease each other and saying things like 'I'm locking in! I'll have so much luck!'#and 'you're so bad at this you'll have bad luck all year' even though that's not how it's actually supposed to work#and so consequently thinking of the tem lads doing that#laurence being good at it already because he's a sailor and granby getting tangled up#(both because he's not good at knots and because he's going to have bad luck)#then again you can also interpret it as a red string of fate thing if you want - laurence having despite everything that's going to come#in the next books having already found the people who are going to love and be loyal to him and granby being set a thornier path#wrt little and iskierka and whatnot...#anyway. happy lunar new year to all celebrating! this image got so severely out of hand!
