psp is a neat piece of hardware but i just have no idea what to do with it, all the games i have for it are either long rpgs, remakes of old sprite games with new shitty 3d models, or games i got at a thrift store for like $5 and are only kind of interested in

now im wonderin if xevious 3d/g+ on ps1 lets u switch over to the arcade original soundtrack. the newer soundtrack is prolly p cool but the original soundtrack sounds rly cool and i wonder if they let u use it. prolly not tho cause i feel like i wouldve been mentioned more.

The actual meter of the whole thing is 4/4 but there’s pretty notable 5/16 polymeter in the saw wave part from 0:07 - 0:31, 1:13 - 1:21 and 1:57 - 2:04.

Polymetric odd time like that being layered over 4/4 dance music is one of my favorite things and I wish there was more stuff that did it! I can usually count on Ayako Saso to do this kind of stuff though.

Xevious 3D/G

there may be a possibility that I’m biased towards multichannel PCM audio when it rivals CDDA quality. maybe. 

but this is good damnit. it has a sweet electronic sound that beautifully encapsulates the spirit of the mid-90s, with a slightly chill edge. i love it.

Twisted Ship

Twist the NegCon controller to also twist the ship.

Cheats

Wide Ship

Enable the “Black ship” code. Then, return to the title screen and highlight the “Exit” option of the configuration mode screen. Hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Start. Now press Start after the “Start” is highlighted and hold all buttons until the ship transforms.

Black Ship

At the title screen, highlight the “Reset” option. Then, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Start. Now press Start after the “Start” is highlighted and hold all buttons until the ship transforms.

Five Continues

Highlight the “Xevious 3D” option. Then at the game selection screen, hold L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 and rapidly tap Circle.

Debug Mode

At the Xevious title screen, press Square + X + Start. Now the original Xevious game will begin in debug mode.

Unlimited Continues

At the Selection screen, press and hold L1+L2+R1+R2 and press circle.

Play As Tekken Characters

At the title screen, highlight the “Start” option and hold Left + X + Circle + Start on controller one to transform the ship into Heihachi. Hold Right + X + Circle + Start on controller two to transform the ship into Paul.
