with a heavy chest, you hand minseok the little scrapbook you've been meticulously working at for a while. in it were assorted pictures of you, minseok, and the boys, words of encouragement, candid shots, places you've visited over the years. don't even think about looking up. fighting back the urge to wrap him up burrito-style and hold him hostage in your apartment to keep him from leaving was difficult enough as it is.
'is this for me?' he asks, surprise lacing his voice and a little touched.
'no it's for your rifle. hope it doesn't get lonely when you lock it up at night.'
minseok chuckles, taking your hands in his as he tries peeking at your downcast face. 'why aren't you looking at me? you won't be seeing this face for a whole year.'
you slowly look up to meet his gorgeous eyes, lacing your hands together with trembling lips. 'and when i do..hopefully your bald ass head grows out cuz you deadass look like an egg right now.'
'a handsome egg.' he quips, burning the image of you bursting in laughter into his memory. 'your handsome egg.'
you wrap your arms around him in a tight hug, nodding. yes, you would miss him. yes, there would be a ton of sleepless nights to come, worrying about him. but he would be back. and you'd be right there waiting for him.

Carnival ♠ Xiumin
Genre: Meet Cute
Pairing: xiuminXreader
Word Count: 962
___________________________________
It was only dusk but the carnival was at full capacity. She barely made it in when she heard security telling people to come back earlier another day. She was supposed to come with her best friend but said friend had ditched her to go on a date with her new boyfriend. New as in, they weren't even dating yesterday. She was happy for her friend but could not deny her disappointment. It had always been a tradition to come together every year. They'd been doing it since they were 12 years old. Nonetheless, she came. She could have stayed at home and be bitter or she could enjoy the night in her own way. She opted for the latter.
Lines felt like miles long so she decided the smartest way to go about them is to choose which things she absolutely needed to do and things she'd be okay without doing. She spotted a churros cart next to the Ferris wheel and eyed the delicious cinnamon sticks longingly. They were a must, but maybe after the line had died down some. There was at least 30 people waiting for them now.
Kicking a pebble on the ground with her shoe, she walked aimlessly through the crowds of people. It almost felt like she was the only one there alone. Scanning her surroundings, something caught the corner of her eye. She smiled at the sight. A photo-booth. No one paying mind to it. She jogged straight to it, making sure to reach it before anyone else did. She won the nonexistent race and wasted no time in entering it.
Excited to take some goofy pictures, she sits down and holds out her hands to press some buttons, but a strip of photos left on the picture slot caught her eye. Someone must have forgotten to pick them up before leaving, she thought. She pulled them out and studied them. The smile on her face slowly died on her lips. There was only one guy in the pictures and he looked as lonely and sad as she felt since she walked in the carnival. He didn't forget to pick the pictures, she realized, he just didn't need evidence of how he was feeling when he took them.
She sat there, staring at his sad eyes for a few minutes, wondering if he had gone home after he took these.
"He could use a friend," she mused. She could use one as well, she thought as a response to herself.
Maybe she could look around and see if he was still around. No one can refuse the prospect of friendship if it comes with a churro. Right? She told herself this was the best idea she'd had all night and with a new purpose, starts exiting the small photobooth.
As she turns out of it and around to the direction of the rides, she bumps her head against someone's chest.
"I'm so so sorryy," her words come out in a rush, embarrassment bringing heat to her face and the tips of her ears. "I wasn't paying attention."
"It's quite okay. I wasn't either. We're both at fault here." His voice was soft and you could hear a smile in his voice. She had planned on running away before she embarrassed herself any longer, but curiosity made her make eye contact with him.
She stared.
The stranger smiled a little wider the more seconds passed by.
"Do I know you?" he finally asked.
She laughed nervously, realizing she was going to come off as a psycho if she kept staring. Instead she put the strip of photos that she had been clutching in her hand, closer to his face so he could see.
"Sorry, I recognized you from these."
His smile faltered slightly at what she was carrying and she kicked herself mentally.
"Ah, I was hoping I could come and get rid of them before someone else found them. Why did you take them?" he seemed genuinely curious.
She looked at her feet, suddenly feeling nervous and self conscious. "I couldn't find you and buy you a churro if I couldn't recognize you." She mumbled.
That got a laugh out of him and she looked up surprised by his reaction.
"Do I look that pitiful?" he asked, watching her with humor in his eyes.
She relaxed a little and smiled. "Just the right amount. I know from experience."
He bit his lip and glanced down at the ground, then looks up to meet her eyes once again. "So, will you let me buy you a churro?"
She shook her head, "It's kind of my thing, you can't just steal my ideas."
They had both started walking side by side, deeper into the carnival, without ever agreeing to anything. He stole a glance at her as she spoke, smiling even more now that she wasn't looking at him.
"You can buy me one next time. Let me be a gentleman for tonight," he said.
"Next time?" she looked at him now, eyebrow raised. He tried to smile as innocently as he could, shrugging a shoulder in a careless manner. A moment passed before she replied.
"I'm going to need a name if there's going to be a next time."
He turned to her, holding out his hand.
"Minseok."
She held his hand with hers and shook it.
"Y/N."

Hi! So can I please have a Xiumin scenario? You are Sehun's sister(you're older by a year) and he drags the boys to your dance competition. Your group does a performance of overdose and wolf, and you have a contemporary duet. As Xiumin watches you perform, he falls for you? Thank you!
I AM SO SORRY FOR HOW LONG THIS TOOK ME
MY INTERNET DECIDED TO BREAK DOWN AND GO KABOOM
But yes, of course, here you go!~
Title: Falling SlowlyPairing: XiuminxReaderRating: There’s literally like nothing bad here. Don’t worry.Word Count: 1442
Xiumin stared at his reflection in the mirror. He’d spent the last few hours meticulously making sure he looked good for the show today. Last night’s conversation rang in his head…
“Umin-hyung, please?”
“Why should I go to your competition…?”
“Because you support me.”
“Tell that to the bubble tea you spilled all over my bed yesterday that you didn’t even bother cleaning.”
“Sorry hyung…um, my older sister will be there. We have a contemporary duet.”
“Y-Your older sister? F-Fine, but only if the others go.”
Part of the reason (well, most of the reason) Xiumin agreed to go to the dance competition was because of Sehun’s older sister, (Y/N). He’d spoken to her a few times and seen pictures of her, and most of what stuck out was how gorgeous she was. Everything from head to toe was perfect about her, it was almost startling. And normally Xiumin wouldn’t want the other members to see her, but he’d rather not let Sehun think the only reason he was going was for her. Even though it kind of was.
His phone rang, signaling he’d received a text.
Sehunnie: Xiumin-hyung, the show starts in 10 minutes, where are you?
He looked up at the clock. Just as Sehun said, it was starting in ten minutes. Xiumin let out a panicked string of curse words as he hurriedly drove to the theater. He flashed his ticket and reached the designated theater just in time. He took a moment to marvel at the pure size of the place. It was a giant room with hundreds of seats, and in the middle was a massive stage. Sitting between Luhan and Lay, he received a chorus of hushed greetings as the music began.
Xiumin recognized it immediately. It was the beginning to Overdose. He watched intently as you gracefully jumped down from where Sehun and your other dance group members had been holding you up. He found that his eyes were constantly on you as your body moved perfectly in sync with the rest of your group. His eyes widened as you took over Tao’s flip at the end.
How did Sehun never mention she could do that…?
Then he heard the distinct howl at the beginning of Wolf. All your dance group members had formed the Tree of Life. In Chanyeol and Kris’s rap parts, several members came out and did fantastic flips and twirls before rejoining the tree again. Again, his eyes could only focus on you. You were front row center of the dance, with Sehun just behind you. His eyes could only widen at how graceful you were out there.
At the end of Wolf, you took over Luhan’s part with Sehun where you slide underneath the other members. He could clearly see as you breathed heavily from fatigue. But you weren’t done yet. The other group members ran off-stage, so it was just you and Sehun. Slow piano music began to play, and a woman’s voice rang through the theater. It was a song about sorrow, but having that one person there that will always comfort you. You slowly sank to your knees, and looked up in surprise as Sehun took your hand and twirled you up onto your feet. The two of you began to dance in perfect synchronization, with elegant leaps and spins. On several occasions you appeared to be weightless as Sehun effortlessly lifted you up into the air and over his head.
Halfway through the dance, Xiumin realized that that’s what he wanted to be. He wanted to be that person who would always lift you back up when you were down. He wanted to be able to make you laugh and smile when you’re about to cry. He wanted to…be there for you. A small, shy smile appeared on Xiumin’s face as you made eye contact with him for just a brief second. He noticed that you smiled too…and he hoped with every ounce in his body it wasn’t a stage smile.
Then, the song ended. You and Sehun stood still as the crowd erupted in applause. You both took a bow and hurriedly left the stage to let the next group on. He saw you and Sehun off to the side, watching the next group with anxious expressions. Then someone tapped Sehun on the shoulder and the two walked off together. You were all alone.
Xiumin spent the next ten minutes gathering his courage. He finally got up and was about to approach you when a security guard stopped him.
“Sorry, this area is off limits.” The large man said.
“O-Oh, sorr-“
“No, it’s okay! I know him!”
Xiumin watched in surprise as you ran over to the security guard. He looked at you, then at Xiumin, then allowed him to pass. You led him back to where you had been standing, which had a perfect view of the group.
“H-Hi, (Y/N)…” Xiumin stuttered.
“H-Hi…” You said shyly.
Why is she shy?
“L-Listen, um, you were really great out there. Wolf and Overdose were fantastic, but the duet you and Sehunnie did at the end was…amazing.” He said, taking a risk by moving just a bit closer to you.
“Th-thank you, oppa.” You mumbled, hoping he couldn’t see your blush.
Calling him oppa only made him blush even more than he already was. The two of you were silent for about a minute, when the emcee said it was time to announce the winner. You suddenly grabbed Xiumin’s hand, squeezing so hard it almost hurt. You had this fierce look in your eyes, completely different from your shyness just moments ago.
He started with third place.
It wasn’t your group.
He went to second place.
It wasn’t your group.
“And our first place winner is…”
It was your group.
You let out a scream and practically tackle-hugged Xiumin. You were laughing and crying at the same time, and Xiumin could do nothing else but hug you back. Then Sehun ran over and the two siblings ran out onto the stage with the rest of their group members. Xiumin watched as you accepted the award, taking the time to thank you parents, your friends, and everyone. Your group couldn’t stop cheering and laughing as the emcee handed you the trophy. Your group ran off-stage, most of you in tears. Loud, victorious music began to play.
Sehun hugged his sister and told her he had to go find a friend. You nodded, wiping the tears out of your eyes. Then you saw Xiumin again and hugged him again. You were stronger than you looked, and he could hardly breathe from the way you had your arms around his neck. But he didn’t really mind. He kept repeating “Congratulations, (Y/N)!” and “You were amazing!” over and over again, and all you could do was thank him over and over again.
You let go of him, apologizing for your excitement.
“No, don’t apologize! It’s okay. It’s more than okay, actually, it’s amazing! You won!” He exclaimed.
“I know, but I nearly suffocated you!” You said, laughing.
“I didn’t really mind!” Xiumin replied, giving you a cheeky smile.
You laughed and blushed again.
“H-Hey, um, (Y/N)? I-I know this is really sudden, but…do you want to maybe, um…” Xiumin stuttered.
You couldn’t believe your ears. Was he…asking you out? Xiumin? Your brain took a minute to process as he finished his question.
“DoyoumaybewanttogogetcoffeewithmebecauseIreallylikeyouandyou’reextremelygorgeous!” He said, not sure you understood a word of that.
All you could do was stare at him, stunned. You’d had a major crush on him for a long time, but never thought the feeling was returned. He started to apologize, to turn around, but you grabbed his arm.
“I-I’d love to! Of course! Yes!” You shouted over the music.
“W-Wait, really?” Xiumin said, not sure he heard right.
“Yes!” You repeated.
This time it was Xiumin who practically tackle-hugged you. You laughed as he spun you around, saying how happy he was, even if it was only coffee. He placed a shy kiss on your cheek, and the two of you just stared at each other, when-
Ahem.
Xiumin turned around to see Sehun, with his arms crossed.
“Hyung, what are you doing to my sister?” He asked with a suspicious look.
“Sehunnie…” You said, using the same warning tone you used when you and Sehun were children.
“B-But noona…” Sehun whined.
“No buts. I’m older than you!” You said, grinning.
Sehun just mumbled and walked away.
“I’ve never seen Sehun actually listen to someone older than him.” Xiumin said, shocked.
“You learn after a while.” You replied, winking at him.
“So, listen, about the coffee…how’s Sunday?”
Okay, this was cheesy as hell but I TRIED! I hope you enjoyed, anon, and once again I’m SO sorry for how late this was! Also, sorry for any inaccuracies about the dance competitions. I tried to do my research, but it tends to vary from country to country, so I just went with my best guess…? I’m sorry >_<
