I'm coming to the conclusion that my city just THRIVES in y'allternative. Like. The punk and alt scene here is huge, but also every second person you meet is a farmer or their parents are farmers. Punk country is everywhere. Patch jackets plus flannels and cowboy boots. I fucking love it. I run into so many older punk rockers who also work on a farm or fields and they're genuinely the nicest folks
I had a thought the other day and decided I wanted to give Isabella a little redesign and I think I got a little carried away with it!
I am kind of curious how many people would still listen to Ghost if it looked like this though? lol
Inspired by @ominouscrypt‘s Y’allternative ghoul art and I know I saw another western style ghoul art but for the life of me I can’t seem to find it now. So if anyone let’s me know I’ll gladly link it too!
Sometimes the country vibes hit me and all I want to be doing is driving in the dark down a back road with only my headlights and the fireflies (maybe the full moon and shine of the stars) lighting the night, with one hand on the steering wheel and the other resting upon the knee of a lover beside me. Silence except for the creek of crickets and the rustle of corn fields around us. Content.
It's been a hot min since the last time I posted my face (largely because wait till the last min to get ready and don't take the time to get ready) but here's some Y'allternative fashion!
A kick ass spiderweb embroidered fringed western shirt from WestenEvil
Some spiderweb collar pins to match along with my assortment of rings and wristwear.
Also some cute but hard-to-see cowboy hat & pearl earrings made by a Fashioned by Fawn! I highly recommend checking her work out.
Hopefully it won't be a few months till the next post but I'm not making any promises.
The brass chain segments were given to me by my roommate after she tore them off a pair of boots she owns; the cow skull pendant is from a bolo tie; and the silver chain was part of a strap from a cheap satchel I bought at the renn faire years ago.
