Nous faisons le point ensemble. Et en bonus, quelques petits conseils pour réussir la vente de votre bateau. Vendre son bateau est toujours un moment ou le coeur se confronte la raison. Mais cela peut aussi être le début d'un nouveau projet. En effet, changer de bateau peut naître de la volonté de passer au fameux mètre supplémentaire ou pour répondre à un projet de navigation spécifique. En fait, lors de la vente d’un bateau, il existe plusieurs cas de figures. D’une part, pour vendre un bateau, il faut être sur place. Si le bateau se trouve en Bretagne ou à Royan et que vous êtes domicilié à Paris….cela va compliquer les choses. D’autre part, la vente de votre bateau pose t’elle des problématiques particulières ? voilier de niche? prix?…

La grande majorité des propriétaires vendent leur bateau par le propre moyen. C’est surtout le cas pour des unités assez anciennes, dont les prix sont assez bas. En effet, sur un petit voilier, type sangria, rajouter les honoraires d’un

professionnel va vite faire monter le prix du bateau ou vous faire perdre de l’argent. Et un professionnel va tarifer, au minimum 1000 euros de frais pour vendre votre bateau. C’est plus ou moins le tarif minimum, et qui n’est pas exagéré au vu des charges et de ses frais. Dans le même temps, un propriétaire habitant sur place aura beaucoup plus de facilité pour être présent lors des visites, nettoyer le bateau, l’aérer. Là encore, on peut penser qu’il est possible de se débrouiller seul pour vendre son bateau. Cependant, se passer d’un professionnel du nautisme n’est pas toujours la meilleure solution, même quand on habite à proximité du bateau. Dans un premier temps, un professionnel va pouvoir assurer la promotion du bateau via les sites d’annonces. Et certains sites d’annonces spécialisés sont plus efficaces qu’un site généraliste bien connu. Mais ces sites sont souvent payants. Dans un deuxième temps, un professionnel connaît le marché de l'occasion et les bateaux d'occasion. Et cela peut changer pas mal de choses dans la vente d'un bateau.

Les courtiers sont des professionnels du nautisme maintenant très qualifiés. Si, à une époque, on voyait un peu de tout, la crise a épuré ce secteur. Les yachtbrokers présents sont maintenant des professionnels connaissant parfaitement leur secteur. Dans le même temps, ils ont aussi l’avantage de très bien connaître le marché.

En effet, ces derniers connaissant bien le marché de l'occasion. Ils sont plus à même, qu'un particulier, d’estimer le prix d’un bateau d’occasion. Ils connaissent les prix du marché et l’état de l’offre et la demande. Enfin, ils ont un regard neutre. Et cela fait beaucoup. Effectivement, un propriétaire à tendance à surestimer son bateau, il va inclure le prix du cœur. Le résultat est que l’on voit beaucoup de bateaux à vendre, et le rester longtemps, à cause d’un prix trop élevé. Enfin, l’idée qu’un bateau en vente chez un courtier est plus cher qu’en direct est faux. Si ce reflex, très français,de vouloir passer en direct via le propriétaire, est encore un sport pratiqué, certains acheteurs et/ou vendeurs s’en sont mordu les doigts. En effet, le courtier aura un regard objectif sur les travaux à prévoir sur un bateau, il a un devoir de conseil, quelque part. Il est aussi possible de vendre son bateau via un chantier naval. Tous les chantiers proposent ces services. Soit ces derniers s’occupent de la vente en direct, soient ils passent par un courtier. Là aussi, cette solution est pratique si vous n’êtes pas sur place. Le chantier va s’occuper des visites, de publier les annonces. Mais au-delà, le chantier va aussi pouvoir faciliter une vente en offrant des services supplémentaires à l’acquéreur. Effectivement sur une unité ayant besoin d’un refit plus ou moins important, il est compliqué, pour un acheteur d’estimer les coûts. Il a même tendance à les surévaluer. Ce qui peut mettre le vendeur en difficulté, dans le cadre d’une négociation. Dans ce cas, le chantier naval va pouvoir accompagner et rassurer l’acquéreur facilement.
