Day 5: Jealousy

Summary: Sara can’t understand the constricted feeling in her chest leaving her breathless as she observes Yae taking care of a small bird.

Another cute giggle escapes the priestess’ lips making the general’s heart flutter at such melodious sound, before she shivers upon feeling Yae’s warm hand running up and down her wings, caressing her feathers in a tender way to then let her hand get lost into their silkiness.

The general barely has the time to open her mouth and reply to her, when she notices Yae’s tender smile turning into a knowing smirk.

- You know, I almost feel bad for the small bird. The poor thing had to leave in such a rush upon feeling threatened.

Yae comments playfully yet with feigned dismay, her hand never ceasing caressing Sara’s majestic wings as the general lets out a snort not believing her feigned dismay in the slightest.”

If you've been a yaesara enjoyer on Twitter, you may know of the yaesaraweek account (also hosted by me). We already did one week way back last year, and then we're having the second week right about now, 7-14 July

Since Twitter seems to be... Unreliable at best, I've decided I'll be cross-hosting this event to Tumblr too, from next instance of this event onward. Title: Somebody will love you

Day 6: Heartbreak

Ship: Yae x Sara (Genshin Impact)

Summary: Yae feels completely heartbroken after breaking up with Ei, but a certain general and her unconditionally love and support will help her to overcome it.

“The pink haired woman can only flinch at it, feeling the arms around her tightening their embrace, before the sound of the thunders roaring loudly is soon quieten by the soothing heartbeat against her ear helping her to calm down, the cold air lashing at her and the rain soaking her fading, being replaced by a warm and safe sensation as a pair of large majestic wings are unfurled to shelter her fragile body in them from the raging storm.

- Are you okay?

Sara’s deep voice surprises Yae, expecting the stoic general to ask about her beloved Archon’s well-begin and not hers.

- I… yes.

It’s the only thing Yae manages to say in a whisper, before Sara pulls her away to oblige her to look at her, her calloused hands stroking her cheeks wiping her tears away as she looks at her worriedly.

- Are you sure? Please, tell me if there’s anything I can do for you.”

Title: Lies

Day 3: Model x Photographer AU

Ship: Yae x Sara (Genshin Impact)

Summary: Yae pretends to have a perfect life as a model when in reality she feels unhappy and empty, until she meets a certain dark purple haired photographer that will unravel all her lies with the simple click of her camera.

“Sara for her part, can’t help but smile softly, before looking serious once again.

- Are you sure of it?

Sara asks her instead, and Yae can feel her sharp golden eyes piercing through her soul, bringing tears to her eyes.

- No.

She admits scared for the first time ever, tears already falling down her face, before she feels Sara taking the mug off her hands to pull her into a hug. The model can’t help but tense, before she hugs the photographer back tightly, hiding her face in Sara’s chest as she breaks into tears.

- It’s okay, I get it – Sara comforts her as she rubs the model’s back in circles to help her to calm down, pulling her away to then wipe the tears away from the model’s eyes – I get how scary is to be exposed out in the open like that.”

Title: Black swan

Day 2: Routines (+ Figure skater x Hockey player AU)

Ship: Yae x Sara (Genshin Impact)

Summary: After an injury keeps her away from the ice rinks, a scared Yae tries to go back to figure skate, but only the help of a certain hockey player will bring her back everything that the injury took away from her.

“- Are you okay? Did you get injured?

She hears somebody asking frantically, before she feels the warmth of a hand placed respectfully on her cheek, sharp golden eyes looking at her with nothing but worry in them.

- I’m okay.

Yae whispers as the other girl helps her to sit up, her hands quickly going to her lips as Sara presses a tissue against them to stop the bleeding.

- Are you sure? That was a nasty fall.

She hears the other girl asking worriedly, eliciting a timid smile from Yae, before she winces.

- I’m sure, Kujou, don’t worry.

A relieved sigh escapes Sara’s lips, before her hands slowly reach Yae’s knee, carefully taking it in them to touch it and make sure the pink haired girl hasn’t got injured.”

Title: Making you feel loved

Day 8: Birthday

Summary: Knowing that Sara has never celebrate her birthday, Yae wants nothing but make her feel loved, preparing different surprises for her.

“But before she can crack the eggs for the last one, Sara’s hand takes her hand in hers to bring it to her lips and kiss it.

- Let me help you.

Sara asks softly, making her girlfriend blush more, before shaking her head.

- Absolutely not. It’s your birthday, therefore is your day to rest and let me pamper you.

Yae says seriously, quickly pushing Sara away until she’s by the kitchen table frowning slightly while opening her mouth to say something back, before her girlfriend presses a finger against her lips to silence her.

- My lovely little bird, you know I’d be more than happy to let you help me... But today is special, it’s your birthday and as such, I’d like to be able to pamper my girlfriend as she deserves.”

Title: Spread your wings

Day 4: Wings

Summary: Yae wakes up terrified after having a nightmare involving Sara’s lovely wings, but her wife will quickly reassure her that everything is okay as she wraps her tightly in her wings.

“- Hey, hey, it’s okay! It was just a nightmare, you’re okay, you’re safe. I’ve got you, my love.

The dark purple haired woman rushes to say as she looks into Yae’s eyes seriously, hoping it can help her to calm down as she peppers kisses all over her wife’s precious face to distract her enough to stop crying and forget about whatever horrors had terrified her in such a way.

- C-can you… – Yae sobs, more tears falling from her eyes, before she struggles to continue – Can you please spread your wings?

She asks quietly, so quietly and scared that Sara almost misses it, but Yae doesn’t need to repeat herself twice before she sees Sara smiling at her tenderly, spreading her wings wide open to wrap her in them.”

Title: A scar is born

Day 7: Scars

Summary: Some days, the stories written behind the scars on her body are too hard to bear. But luckily Yae will be there to help Sara go through the day.

“A certain pink haired priestess can’t help but watch this exchange from afar with a fond yet sad smile adorning her features, her heart clenching painfully at the pained expression replacing the usual solemn general’s features.

She can’t help but observe Sara, the distant look on her mesmerizing golden eyes gazing into the horizon, before closing her eyes to try and find some peace to the deep scars of her soul tormenting her.

She notices how the stiff position Sara adopts whenever she’s knelt in front of the centenarian tree is nothing but loose, her shoulders slumped as her hands fall to her sides to clench a handful of dirt beneath her into a tight fist.

Sadness washes over the priestess as she observes Sara getting lost in her thoughts, giving the warrior time and space until she needs comfort.”

Summary: Injured in a battle, Sara can only wait for death to take her away, before the images of Yae filling her mind gives her the strength to fly back home to see her beloved even if it’s for the last time.
