You had always been a little kinder compared to the other kitsunes, a little more gentle with your followers and the people who believed in you. You were more docile compared to the more mischievous ones. You were a small yokai, recently born compared to those who lived hundreds of years. You had fewer followers than them, with no more than 100, most of them older. Maybe that was why you were more cautious, watching over them rather than teasing them.
You acted almost like a caretaker to them. You were a kitsune with one tail, still young in the eyes of other yokai, yet with just enough power to give a little relief in the lives of those who believed in you. But you didn't lose that mischievous part of yourself. While limited, you often teased the little boy, the son of a widow. You would appear in front of him, playing with him, only to disappear when the mother showed up.
You were the boy's friend, playing with him when he seemed lonely, showing him small things that you could do with magic. The brightening of his face always made you smile. You took care of the people who lived in a small village, and more often than not, they would leave you sweets or food that they made on the windowsill, which you often snacked on.
While yokai could appear in front of humans, they mainly changed their appearances when doing so, which was the same for you, as you hid your tail and ears while chatting with the elderly. You were known to be somewhat mysterious, yet many were still welcoming towards you.
Your personality was different for a kitsune. While you did have some personality traits, it would have still been obvious to any yokai that you were different. It was that personality that made you leave the village just for moments to follow and protect your followers. The child that you grew to care for so much was leaving as his mother wanted to make money in the city.
It was not the first time you had gone to the city, having followed many of your followers before out of curiosity, now mainly out of worry over them as they aged with white hair while you stayed the same.
The two of them planned on going to the city nearest to the village, a place you often visited compared to other places. You followed them, thinking that you would only stay for a moment to see if they reached to the destination safely and found a place to sleep. After a week of travel, they and you stepped into the gates of the city.
Unknown to you, shared eyes watched you from afar, already having noticed your little visit to the city where those served him.
He was the same as you, a kitsune but born longer than you and worshiped by the whole city. Living in the tallest building of the city, canine eyes watched you from far away as he licked his lips. His nine tails swayed softly as if excited and somewhat expectant, seeing you finally come back after what he thought was so long.
It was only by chance that you two had met a few years ago. He was sure that you had already forgotten, but for him, it was just so difficult to forget such a cute lady. Back when he had changed himself into a civilian, he remembered bumping into a lady at a corner of a small shop. You were in disguise too back then, yet for someone as powerful as him, it was easy to identify that you were not human but a yokai kitsune like him. A quick apology and both of you were on your way. He thought he would forget the young kitsune.
Till he saw you again, this time without a disguise yet hidden in the eyes of the humans, watching some travelers, an old couple that wanted to sell their harvest. Your eyes were watching them, both fox ears trained towards them while your tail lightly swayed side to side. On top of the roof of a building you sat, yet you were elegant and sophisticated yet unexpectedly innocent. You were not like what he had expected, though this was his first time actually seeing you, he had his expectations over his own kind after living for hundreds of years.
A lot of kitsunes lacked care over humans, having more selfish desires and thoughts. They thrived off entertainment like mischievous pranks or lust. They were mainly self-centered and greedy, thinking only for themselves. He was the same when he was younger, but as he continued to live, a lot of those interests started to dwindle as he had gotten bored of doing the same thing over and over again.
Instead of focusing on his greed, he created a city of his own that worships the ground he steps on. He had everything in his hands, yet even that quickly grew boring.
He was bored out of his mind, wondering what other entertainment he should search for as he continued to stay in the land. He watched you silently follow the couple, hopping on the roofs of the buildings and making soft taps on the bricks roofs with your wooden slippers.
He didn't follow you and didn't see you again for a few months. He had already forgotten about you as he stared down into the buildings from high up in his tower. He was still bored even after some entertainment with other yokai, wondering what to do, when he saw you again entering the gates. Invisible to the naked eyes of humans, you followed another person who came to the village to trade. The Kitsune had figured out that you had come here following those who believed in you, as many yokai disappear when no humans believe they are real.
Yet he still couldn't make sense of your decisions. Many choose to make more followers and believers, leaving those who already believe, if not with a little scare if they felt generous. Yet you would go out of your way to watch the people who followed you. Truthfully, he would find it dreadful to even think about following a human. They live such slow, boring lives, and it would be painful for him, who craves entertainment, to watch over a person like that.
Yet his eyes would not leave you, picking up a grape from the bowl and tossing it into his mouth. There were many yokais that came here, a place packed with people. While they could stay as long as they didn't cause any huge problems, he personally didn't care much for what they did. The more he watched, the more he realized that he could not help but stare at your eyes. He had met quite a few kitsunes in the past, and many younger kitsunes most of the time didn't really know what they were doing, often showing in their eyes that they were without a goal, while others were mainly obsessed with material things or fame.
Your eyes were different. If he had to pick a word, it would be cute. Your eyes held so much affection towards your followers, caring and concern for their well-being. It was both amusing and entertaining to him that he could not help but watch.
Over the years, he would look forward to your visits. Your cautious eyes, when you finally noticed someone watching, made him excited as he watched you look left and right, wondering. He found your affection wanting, the attention you give towards those you like. He wanted your attention, wanting no more than to tease you some days, wondering how you would react if someone were to take away the people you give all your care to.
Yet his tails could not help but stop for a moment as he watched you. Your ears down nearer to your head while your tail was down, almost as if saddened. There was a smile on your face, still with affectionate eyes, yet they were mixed in with sadness. He could just stare at you, for the first time he had ever seen your face express another emotion other than what was normally seen. Your lovely face as you waved goodbye at the little boy who just for a moment looked back and saw you. The smile that spread on his face as he raised his hand to wave at you.
"Bye bye!!"
His mother had asked him who he was waving at, but the boy didn't answer, instead grinning at her.
As you watched them go, unable to follow them for fear you would not be able to leave if you did so, you stayed still for a moment. When you could not see them in the crowds of people, you took a step back and walked the opposite road, completely unaware of how lustful someone was looking at you.
He adored you. He adored you so much. His precious little tempting fox. Your little saddened face was just so delicious in his eyes, far more compared to your startled expression when you watched one of your older friends suddenly trip on a rock. It drove him insane how cute you were.
He had to have you. He would drag you back to his home and keep you with him like a little wife pet. Your innocence compared to his hundreds of years of knowledge would make it so easy to keep you in his arms, even if you tried to escape. Your crying face would be a delight to see. He wanted to see it. Nothing could get him more aroused than your own tears. He watched you leave, moving when he could not see you anymore, his heart beating like crazy as he continued to think about your lovely innocent expressions, all belonging to him. Touching his face with his cold hand, his long nails lightly digging into his cheeks, he felt how warm they were.
It was soon that you reached your village. The villagers greeted you with smiles on their faces as you tried to greet them back. But it seemed that your sadness may have showed when a grandmother patted you on the back. "There, there, child. You shouldn't be so sad." The grandmother explained that people come and go in the village due to its small inhabitance. "The little boy will remember you and come back one day. But for now, focus on the present. I heard from a friend that you don't have a lover yet! You are a very beautiful soul; you should be searching for one now! Otherwise, it will be too late to have a child of your own!"
“Have a little boy just like that kid, you could adore.”
The grandmother gave more words of comfort, even though you were older than her by a few years, and some of her words were a little much. Even if you were older, you could not help but flush at her words, causing her to laugh.
"Hahaha, you remind me so much of my old friend. We were friends at such a young age, yet she had to move away after I got married. Even she was someone easy to fluster like you." The grandmother told you with a wide smile on her face. "Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to keep in touch, so I don't know how she is doing now, but I hope she is doing well."
You couldn't help but smile at the old lady who was reminiscing about the past. "I think she is doing fine for herself," you said with confidence, which made the grandmother look at you in surprise but burst out laughing again. "She probably is. Probably found someone nice and living her life with 10 kids of her own and 20 grandkids." "I- I am not su-" "Nah, she is too pretty for her own good and has always been the type to care for others. I doubt that the man could not help but give a few more." The old woman cackled again at her own joke as she walked away, waving at you and stating that she had some rice cakes that you and her should eat.
It took some time, the lack of that boyish sound left a hole in your heart, but like any other time, you knew you would heal. Watching over the houses, you noticed some carts coming into the village. Fancy transport carriages; you thought there was someone important visiting here. You couldn't help but become curious as you stepped down to the grassy floor, changing to your disguise as you hid your ears and tail, and drew closer to the stopped carriage. Curiously looking at the servants talking with the mayor of the village, for what you could gather, they seemed to wish to stay here just for a few nights.
The mayor was unsure about the whole situation, as not only was this sudden due to how fancy the carriage was, he wasn't sure if the village had the means to serve the guest, but the servant reassured them that they don't need to do anything.
Walking up to one of the villagers, you asked what was going on. "Ehhh, just some rich man wanting to stay here for a while. Probably a break from traveling, but really it is just too sudden," an uncle answered your question, crossing his hands as he looked judgmentally at the cart when it suddenly opened.
From the cart walked out a very handsome man. Tall with a lean figure and a bit of muscle. He had a smile on his mouth as he walked toward the mayor. "Please do not worry about the service. I know we had come without any prior notice," his voice was deep and velvet as he continued to talk, his narrow eyes staring kindly at the mayor. Even with a smile on his face, there was something intimidating about him. You watched quietly, wondering if this was really okay, but without causing any trouble to anyone here, you couldn't do much.
Silently, you watched the mayor and the travelers go, the old man taking them away to a place where they could rest, leaving behind whispers between the people.
While most didn't care much for the arrived guest and his servants, many of the younger ladies were extremely excited when they saw his face. They talked among themselves about how handsome he was, wondered if he was married, and daydreamed about being picked up by such a man. You didn't care much for such topics. Turning on your heel, you left, deeming that there should not be any problem here. Planning on going back, you stopped and turned around, your eyes widening in caution.
You felt someone watching you.
You turned left and right, searching for them, wondering if it was a yokai that was looking at you, yet you could not find one that had a stare that made your back so heavy and raised the fur on your tail so badly. It wasn't the first time either. Many times you felt that stare when you were in the city, yet you never seemed to find the reason why or from whom it was coming. You thought that here you would not have to experience this, that in your safe haven, unlike the city, you would be able to avoid it.
But you could find nothing, and almost everyone except for the chatting girls was all gone, busy with their own days...
A day passed since those people came. You chose not to bother with them after sneaking in last night to check on them, wondering if they were really good people. As you watched them interact with the head in a kind manner, you decided to leave them be.
On your own, you chose to take on your human form as you watched the villagers care for the fields. Taking a seat on top of a branch of a tall tree in the mountain, you watched from afar. After the boy had left, you had become too bored, feeling solemn, mainly as the child who you were close to had to leave.
You knew that it was bound to happen, yet you could not help but miss the boy. The smaller yokais told you to just take the boy, take him away from the world and to the yokai one and keep him for yourself forever. But not once did you entertain that thought; the idea of taking the boy's life away was horrible in your eyes. His mother was also someone you held affection towards, a kind lady who had invited you to her home many times in the past, even when they barely had much to eat.
You wanted the little one to stay, but you also knew that you could not trap him, yet your heart was sad.
"Hello, there." Your tails and ears almost poofed into view at the voice, your body raising up from its relaxed position as you looked at the back. Under the tree on the side was a man alone, looking at you with a smile on his face. "Ah... sorry, I didn't mean to startle you like that." He looked amused due to your reaction. You tilted your head in wonder as you looked at the man, recognizing him from yesterday as he and his entourage had chosen to stay in the village for a few days.
"Did I scare you?" He asked, raising a brow. You narrowed your eyes a little at him but chose to nod. It wasn't like you could even deny it. "Don't you know it is rude to creep up on someone like that?" Your voice a little snappish as you tried to contain your annoyance at the fact that your alone time had been taken away, and that you were also taken off guard.
Haha... Sorry, I will keep that in mind."
You examined him from head to toe, wearing a yukata and cleanly put, you could not help but stare at his face. His smile and his narrow eyes and sharp features made him look almost like a fox.
"What are you doing? Is the view from there nice?" he asked, and for a moment you thought about whether you should actually continue to talk to him. Not having the heart to decline as the man acted more from harmless mischievousness, you didn't push him away. Instead, you invited him up the tree.
He complimented the view of the place from the tree, stating that he mainly lived in the city, so it had been a long time since he last took the time to relax in the countryside. The topics you chatted between the two of you were mainly surface-level topics, nothing deep, yet hinting at reminiscing the past.
You almost felt seen by him. It was something hard to explain, yet because your lifespan was so much different than that of humans, there was a bit of a gap when it comes to understanding. They would never understand what you feel because they would never live that long.
You didn't count the time, yet as you noticed the sun now in a different position in the sky, you realized that you have been here for a few hours. "I must leave now," you told him, for it wasn't long until you have used a lot of your powers and need to change up.
A frown graced the lips of the man looked beautiful under the sunset. "Ah, that is such a shame. I was enjoying talking to you," he stated, and you could not help but feel the same. "How about we meet again here if you are not busy tomorrow?" He offered.
You looked at him, his smile still with its mischievousness, yet a hand reaching out as a kind gesture. You thought that it would be okay. The loneliness you had in your heart was stilled just for a moment after the boy and his mother left that you could not help it when your mouth and head moved, agreeing to meet him again here at the same time tomorrow.
You met him the next day, the same place. He was sitting on the same spot of the huge tree as he looked at you with a smile, offering tea. The rich flavor that coated your tongue was delicious. The man laughed at your face, teasing you when you asked him why he was laughing.
There was no tension in the air. Time flew too quickly when you became comfortable around him, able to open up your feelings when it usually takes a long time when it comes to others. Almost every day, you met him under that same tree.
"I see our young lady finally fell in love?" The grandmother chuckled when you choked on your tea at her words. Grinning like a cat when you looked embarrassed. "Finally, time you found someone who could take care of you."
"Please don't say that... we are mere... acquaintances," you said hesitantly, unable to call that person a friend nor anything more than that. The old lady laughed again, patting your shoulder. You knew that she understood your feelings but also wanted only the best for you.
"So we are acquaintances?" the voice was too low, too muffled to hear, even for your ears to hear as you glanced at him blinking. He laughed on the other side of the branch, stating that it was nothing.
"I am going to be leaving soon." His words made you snap your head at him, in shock, then realizing what you just did, tried to calm yourself. "Oh..." you said hesitantly, looking away from him. "That... that is unfortunate." You were a little saddened, to be honest, that he was leaving, but it was coming after all. The crew was only resting here and needed to leave at one point.
“Yeah..." He passed you a cup of tea that he had brought again to drink here. Taking the tea, you took a sip of it, yet the flavor wasn't as strong or vibrant as before, dulled by your own feelings as you watched the liquid ripple in your hands. "Some business that I need to get to," he told you as you took another sip of your tea, still feeling your throat parched.
"Oh..." You said again, unsure of what to say. He had told you that he was a merchant travelling and just happened to arrive here at some point.
"Hey..." his voice was hesitant, yet for a silent moment he took a deep breath. "Why... why don't you come with me?"
You looked at him, surprised by his words again. You saw how determined his eyes were as he looked at you. "Please... please come with me! I like you a lot, and I promise I will take care of you if you choose to follow me," the man said, leaning towards your branch with a hand on his heart. "I have a difficult time being around people sometimes outside things related to business, yet with you, I always have fun. You are kind and thoughtful, you care so much about the people here. It is heartwarming to listen. If you want me, I promise I will make you happy."
You leaned away, almost intimidated by his actions. "Huh...? What are you talking about?" You didn't understand at all what he was talking about.
"Please marry me," he told you, finally spilling the words after having a difficult time holding it in. "I will make you the happiest woman alive."
Staring at him and his proposal, you thought about the time for the past few days, the bond that you started to form with him. It was often that within a few days of knowing each other, people tend to marry here.
But words clogged your mouth, unable to leave. While you do treasure the time you spent with this man, the village that you lived in for much longer was still your priority because even if he did understand your feelings, the time you spent with people here had much more value to you.
"I-..." You wanted to decline. After all, you were also a kitsune, a different kind of species compared to him, a human. You wanted to say that when the world suddenly blurred. "I-..." You wanted to get the words out, but dizziness stopped you again.
You saw his eyes, the realization that you planned to reject him, you just needed to bring those words out. "That is…" You didn't know what happened, nor what had caused you to lose all your energy all of a sudden. When the world turned upside down, you felt the wind on your face as you fell from the branch.
How did you become like this?
You thought your sudden fall would hurt yet instead of reaching the grassy floor harshly, you were gently lowered into the arms of another. You tried to open your eyes, wondering who caught you, and saw a man with ears like yours holding you. He was far more handsome than the merchant, but had a more cunning look and a more wicked grin compared to the mischievous smile the merchant had.
You didn't know this person. Your eyes widened as you shoved him away, hopping away from his hold and distancing yourself from him. Your disguise cancelled away as you glared at the yokai, who was the same as you. When did he come so close? How did you not see him? Multiple questions went through your brain as you bared your claws at him. Counting his tails, you knew he was far stronger than you. If he was maybe a three-tail, maybe you would have a chance, but he was triple that.
“Who are you?” You demanded, wondering why he was in your territory.
“Got your little claws out, huh? I am hurt, dear, especially when we had so much fun together these past few days.” He raised his hands, showing that he meant no harm, but you didn't believe it at all, trying to stay away even as the thing in your system continued to cause you to be so tired. “I never met you,” you growled at him.
“Oh? How can you be so sure? I was right beside you, sitting on this tree this whole time.” He raised a brow, a mischievous grin on his lips that was too similar to a certain someone. Your eyes widened as you took a step back. How did you not notice? Why did you even let your guard down?
“You… you lied to me!?” you demanded an answer as the man shook his head, sighing as if your anger was nothing more than a child’s tantrums that he needed to care for. “You would not let me get close to you if I did show my real self,” he talked as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
You didn't understand why he did that. Why would a nine tail kitsune take such an interest in you that he would pull a prank like this? But it seems that he was able to read your mind, crossing his arms, his golden eyes watching you. “I have taken an interest in you, my dear. The many years that I watched you visit my place has always been a delight for me, that when you didn't come, I could not help but be a little upset. But it is okay, I will always forgive you.” He took a step closer to you, watching you as you continued to lose strength. “Yet to only watch for so long has its limits, don't you think? When you are so adorable skipping around my own turf, don't you think it would be difficult for me not to get my hands on you? I just thought that maybe you would prefer something romantic.”
“I am hurt, dear, that you would still deny me like that when I went through all that trouble. But it is okay, I will forgive after we fix your habits a little at my shrine.” You growled at him, refusing to follow him, pushing yourself to even stand at this point. “Now, now, you shouldn't push yourself too much. The tea was drugged a little, something I made just for you if you had chosen to be a little naughty. Nothing dangerous, I assure you. All you have to do is just relax, and I will take you home.”
You tried to make a run for it, but your powers were restricted, and when your leg caught your own, you fell to your back. You could not catch yourself, as your energy continued to be sucked away from you. You thought that you would hit the floor again when a pair of arms caught you again. “Tch, tch, my little kit is so weak and clumsy when she is tired, hmm?”
He laughed, golden fox eyes staring at you. You felt something furry touch your cheek, moving your hair away from your face. “Don't worry, dear. I will help you learn how to use your powers well, and you will now be mine and mine alone.”
You tried to move your body, tried to push him away, but it was as if weights were placed on your body, preventing you from moving even just a little. You tried to stay awake, to make sense of all this, yet nothing seemed to work as sleep slowly took you away.
“Don't worry, my dear little fox. You will be my lovely mate, and I will take care of you from now on, okay?”

DRAGON SMUT TAKE THREE
warnings: breeding, eggs (but not rlly), hybrids, heat so ig dubcon ??, reader is implied afab but no explicit afab language used and could be read as amab
×××
Spring, the limbo between the hot, humid months and the cold, windy months. But more importantly, a good long break from school for college students like Bo.
Contrary to his classmates, though, Bo wasn't visiting friends or out partying.
He was instead splayed out on a bed of luscious furs in a dim cave, helping his dearest half dragon lover through their heat.
They had begged him to leave at first, telling him not to return until the season's end and explaining that they would soon go into heat and be unable to control themself.
He had begged them to let him help, promised he could take it. They reluctantly agreed, making him promise to run as fast and as far as he could if they hurt him.
And now here he is, sweaty back curls splayed under his head, baby blue eyes glazed in pleasure as he held desperately onto the soft material beneath him in an attempt to ground himself, to not be whisked away into the bliss of the moment.
To not be carried away by the hushed promise of a clutch, of young to keep safe and to raise together. The idea of it only made the pleasant knot in his abdomen grow tighter, curling with the burning sensation of another impending orgasm.
One of many, many more.
If he was lucky, he'd have a brood to raise by summer vacation.

Tumblr media
—tw / tags: gn reader, implied loved one(s) death(s), implied killing, heavy religious themes, grief, horror, body horror, teratophilia, exophilia, general yandere themes, sfw.
—featured character(s): the guardian angel / the angel, the (unfortunate) priest
Tumblr media
A piercing wail erupted from the depths of your throat as you crumbled to the floor, shrieking into your phone, “No, no, nonono! No!”
Not another one…!
Sobs wracked your body so hard the sounds emerged as tiny high-pitched squeaks. Tears blurred your vision to near blindness, distorting the colors into blobs of grey. Your breaths came so harshly they scorched your lungs.
Curling into a ball, you lost control and hyperventilated. With wild abandon, you pounded your fist on the cold tiled floor and released inhuman cries of agony. Something throbbed where your knuckles had split open, staining the hard ceramic surface with your blood, yet you felt nothing. Numbness drenched the overwhelming misery and panic, and your world creased its spinning.
They were gone—every single one of them.
Distantly, a voice, laced with sympathy, pleaded with you not to hang up the phone. Without hesitation, your battered hand moved on its own accord to end the call. You sat there, head between your knees, as you let the device to slip away to clatter and crack against the floor.
Now, there was nothing left, nothing but the hollowing emptiness that gaped deep within your pounding chest, where the love of your life had once filled and kept it warm. Memories of their smiles faded as tears stung your swollen eyes. Wheezing sobs continued to fill the room, oblivious to a strange distortion perching on your bowed back to comfort you.
Tumblr media
The funeral was a somber affair, a closed-casket viewing attended by strangers. You remained quiet throughout the priest’s recitation of the psalms, disregarding the whispered condolences offered your way. It took every ounce of your strength not to jump into that casket and howl your grief.
“Poor thing…” one attendant murmured to another, “this makes it the fifth loss in this year alone, doesn’t it?”
The other attendant responded sympathetically, stealing a brief glance in your direction. Anger flared within you, only to fade just as quickly when you felt something brush against your bare neck; feather-soft, cold and intangible. You tensed.
This was not the first time you had experienced these strange sensations—these invisible touches. At times, it would gently trace down your skin, soothing like a caress on the back of your hand, or enveloping you like an embrace around your waist. But, it always felt as though it was petting you with a sharp, scalpel-like claw, sharp and unyielding. These sensations left behind only cold goosebumps and an increasing sense that something was extremely wrong.
Once, you thought it might be the ghost of your loved one—but even you knew such possibilities were ludicrous. It could be your mind breaking apart under the weight of so many consecutive tragedies; less than a year felt like a lifetime of pain. And, by certain, their touches had never felt so…disgusting and inhuman.
There were moments where the hairs on the back of your neck bristled and you heard the faint disembodied crooning, words too indistinct for you to understand. Yet, it vaguely resembled a demonic chorus, singing some eerie song. The lingering echoes, you thought, was just an auditory hallucinations brought on by intense grief.
The phenomena worsened each loss you suffered though. These unseen presences grew more persistent and suffocating, clinging to you like a shroud of darkness. Your instincts would scream at you to flee—but how could you escape from something you don’t even know was there?
Rubbing unconsciously where the invisible entity touched you, you remained in your seat, fixated on the casket. As you waited for the priest to conclude his prayer for the departed soul’s safe passage to the afterlife, you lifelessly watched mourners rising from their seats to form a line to pay their respects.
Your mind was numbed by both exhaustion and sorrow to even count them all.
After the attendants withdrew for the impending burial, the priest motioned for you to join him. A gentle—yet strangely tight smile formed on his lips, as he spoke, “Would you mind returning here after the burial? I’d like a word with you.”
You furrowed your brows at the priest's unusual request but nodded, your agreement barely audible. Whatever he had to say couldn’t possibly be more harrowing than the lonely hell you were enduring. Quietly, you promised to return.
Tumblr media
After the burial, once the guests departed for the wake, you found yourself alone in the cemetery. An ache gnawed at your heart as you forced yourself to walk back to the ever-looming church. As soon as you stepped inside the holy building, something strange caught the corner of your eyes.
Startled, you pivoted to see what it was.
But, there was nothing there, just the endless rows of gravestones scattered across the green grass. Your muscles taut with unease, you shook your head and drew a deep, heavy breath. Your sanity was fraying to a snapping point, you thought to yourself.
The weighty doors thudded shut behind you, the sound reverberating thunderously throughout the silent sanctuary, nearly jumping you out of your skin. Following the abrupt noise, you heard a voice beckoning you to follow, as the priest shuffled his feet down the aisle.
You couldn’t help but to notice the nervousness in his steps.
Closing the distance between you, he ushered you past the archway and toward the altar of the church’s fallen deity. Lightheaded and worried at the haste and anxiety he displayed, you allowed him to lead you to a room in the rear of the sanctuary. Rashly, he locked the door behind you and stood there stiffly, pressing his ear against the wooden surface.
“Father…?” You glanced at him, fear swelling up at his odd behavior.
His shoulders tensed upon your hesitant voice and he turned to face you, his eyes filled with unmasked horror. Swiftly, the priest made a sign of the cross and whispered a prayer. With a shuddering sigh, he returned his attention to you.
Before you could open your mouth to demand an explanation, he cut in with urgency.
“Tell me, my child, what do you know of the guardian angel?”
Perplexed, you blinked until his urgent words seeped into your mind. Swallowing thickly, you replied in a hoarse voice, stifling the swelling grief in your breast, “They are meant to protect and to guide you in the times of strife and tribulations.”
He fell silent for a moment, then parted his trembling lips, “Then tell me, my child, why has yours only destroyed? Why did it regard you with such a perverse gaze?”
“I…what?” You gaped, a cracked laughter escaping your lips in an unhinged melody.
Had this man lost his mind?
What could he possibly mean? How could this man assume that the loss of your family was the work of divine beings? How ridiculous—
But upon the stern and fearful look in his eyes, disbelief constricted in the pit of your stomach. An overwhelming urge to flee coursed through your nerves, propelling your legs toward the bolted door. You were disrupted by a sudden yank on the collar of your shirt.
An inexplicable dread settled beneath your skin, as the priest forcefully dragged you backward with unexpected strength. Before you could voice your frustration and demand an explanation, the door buckled.
The wood splintered and the shrieks of a demon reverberated.
A scream pierced the air, laden with terror—but you couldn’t discern whose voice it belonged to. Was it your own? Or was it the priest’s? You remained uncertain, as you transfixed by the sight of something great and dreadful emerging from the sundered door.
An angel.
Except, to you, it was not.
Trenched in crimson, the mangled remains of rotten bodies hung from its many jagged wings. Countless eyes turned toward you, each radiating with worship and desire. A seam split on its featureless face, forming a broken maw that drooled with hunger. Its tongue, as dark as oil, swept away the spattered blood on its pure white skin.
Numerous arms reached out for you, each finger tipped with claws, glistening with something pungent. Its resonant voice echoed your name, tainted with the same twisted desire mirrored in their manic eyes. It repeated those three words, like a disturbing hymn.
I love you.
Blood roared in your ears and fear seeped through your body, paralyzing you. You couldn’t move, your vision obscured by a sudden cascade of tears. Disgust churned within you, sickening you to your very core.
You couldn’t even discern the abrupt swing of one of its arms, releasing the lifeless body from its monstrous sword, as the abomination closed in. A flurry of limbs encircled your shivering form, some caressing while others coiled around your spine.
Its’ many eyes blinked at you and its rotting wings fluttered, its grinning face lovingly nuzzled yours. Against your ear, it moaned its proclamation.
I love you.
The slithering tongue smeared across your lips in a parody of kisses. Your skin crawled at the way it touched you, its embrace suffocating, yet sickeningly gentle. Its affection for you was vile. Unwanted.
Your hands beat its armor weakly, attempting to fend it off, and its crooning changed into something sharp and incensed. Snarling, frustrated that it was unable to indulge itself into its unholy pleasure with you, it grabbed your hands and held them tightly.
Sobbing, you knew you would never be able to escape. Desperate to appease it, your voice rasped out from your dry throat,
“I…love…you…too.”
Its painful clenches softened upon your trembling words.
Love swelled within those golden irises.
—end

Hello my lovely mutual! I apologize for me not sending an ask for quite some time life has been hectic. Although worry not for I come bearing an idea for you!
Imagine:
Xurl with a darling that comes from a town that was constantly in war with the other towns around them. She has spent her whole life fighting for her life trying her hardest to survive. Scars of various sizes litter her skin some fresh and some old. She is constantly in high alert ready for someone anyone to attack.
How would Xurl react? Would he like it? Hate it? Would he make her stop, or would he encourage her?
I’m so glad you’re back though!!!!
Hi !! I absolutely adore this idea, tysm for once again gracing me with your lovely brain..
Xurl would be confused and lightly concerned. What had his little human been through to make them this defensive? Why did they conserve their food so much? Why did they insist on sleeping with a weapon?
He'd try to coax them out of the mindset of survival. He'd assure them that nobody was coming for them, that he and his men were plenty able to protect them.
He'd be ever so gentle when he sees their scars for the first time, gently encouraging them to tell the stories of their battles and what they'd been through. He'd vow to them that they would again have a wound so deep, so gruesome, that they'd earn a new scar.
All in all, he'd be a whole lot more protective.
°°°
Aaaa I'm so happy to be writing again I missed this sm

Quest: Farmers need help at the barn
Character(s): Harpy (Unnamed character/original work) Summary: You are an adventurer, taking up missions and quests in the guild. And this you choose to help out a monster barn, unknown to you that a certain feathered monster thought of you as his mate. Tags/Warnings: Yandere!monster, fem!reader, general yandere themes, violence (murder, etc), monster slavery, mating/courting rituals, possessive behavior, blood, human x monster romance, misunderstandings, obsessive monster
Tumblr media
"I am so sorry! We had opened the cop for the harpies so that we could go and collect their eggs but it seems that one was sneaky enough to get out of the cage and run away!!"
Arriving at the farm you were immediately greeted with a farmer, tall and gruff, certainly strong enough to deal with monsters yet panicked as one had escaped the pen, and with barely enough staff currently he definitely needed help.
"I am really sorry, we will pay you more for the trouble." The farmer said asking you to search for the harpy that got away. It was a monster after all and with a human village near here, you could not help but become a little concerned.
"We also have someone else looking for the harpy right now, if needed and the harpy had placed humans in danger the guy has a bow ready to shoot." He had told you that the monster ran away to the forest and could not have gone far away as they were able to land a shot on its wing. He gave you a map and guided you to the gate of the forest, leaving just as soon.
Except you were not sure if you were really going the right way!!
You looked at the map and frowned. You have been walking around the forest for what felt like hours now and just could not find the harpy that escaped!
Sighing as you looked at the sun still up so high you wondered if you would be stuck here searching for this monster the whole day. Really you hoped that it would end as soon as possible so that you could finally go home or maybe get a quest that won't cost you to circle the forest tens of times...
"Grrr..." You looked behind you, ready to attack whatever creature that made that sound in the forest. Yet nothing showed themselves to you as you constantly hear the growls and somehow had a mix of pain with it. Heading towards the sound as cautiously as possible you found a hidden cave and cautiously went in.
You were surprised to find a harpy in the dark dreary place. And you also noticed that one of his wings was bleeding. An arrow wound you were sure was done by a hunter and another one on its thigh.
It was easy to connect the dots somewhat, the harpy met the hunter somewhere in the forest and managed to get away but the hunter still managed to get his thigh with an arrow. He hid himself, unable to fly back to his home and also started screeching at night to ward off any predators that could have found him.
He glared at you as he dragged himself deeper into the small cave to get away from you. Screeching in hopes that you would become afraid and run away. But instead, you slowly went over to him, with a soft voice trying to calm it down. "Hey, it is fine... You will be alright."
It didn't trust you at all but after offering it a bit of food and encouraging words and with time, still cautious of you he finally let you come closer. You tried to be careful when applying ointment and bandaging up his wing and then later his thigh, one wrong move can get you clawed by the monster.
It seemed very used to humans, you were at first sure that it would take longer to calm the harpy down but that doesn't seem the case when it looked so innocently at you after you finished bandaging it.
You knew that this was a monster. But right now rather than a wild monster it was more tamed and rather than you fearing him it feared you even more. But work is work, and this was a job that you must do. Your kindness was till this point cause rather than sending the harpy back to the farm still bleeding you prefer that the bird got bandaged up.
Less mess.
"There you go.." you whispered to the male harpy as you slowly backed away from him. He looked at the bandaged wing in wonder, examining it. He then looked at you curiously as to why you would help him.
Harpy feathers, depending on the color and quality can go for a lot of money even more if it was the whole wing itself. A lot of humans search for such monsters wanting to capture them if they were wild creatures. You knew that yourself, when you were helping the creature you knew that this particular harpy has definitely been hunted young or bred and then sold by the farm for his beautiful feathers.
You shrugged at his actions. "You are hurt." You whispered at it wondering if it would actually understand what you said while some harpies from what you heard can speak human language; this one in particular didn't seem to be able to do so much. Moments like these you thought of those books where the main character would tell the monster to run away and that this was its chance to do so but that wasn't you. You needed him back at that farm.
"Th-thank you..."
You were taken back a little when you heard the monster's voice looking up at him. "Huh...?" "T-thank you."
...You weren't able to stand his genuine yet still mildly confused eyes, choosing to look away. As you headed out of the cave not looking back, sure that the harpy would not come back to attack you. For once you felt guilty. You took a moment to collect yourself ready to get him to the farm when you heard bushes rustle. Pulling out your dagger you were ready to attack when you saw the same farmer this morning along with someone else.
"You are here! Good that we found you! The hunter here was able to land a shot on the harpy's thigh again while it was escaping from him and we followed the blood." The farmer told you, also saying something about his part in the farm work being finished, that he was able to come here and help.
You told them that the harpy they were looking for was inside the cave and that there were no other exits other than here. You told them you bandaged up the monster but it still should not be able to move much. "Thanks a bunch! You are a lifesaver." The farmer continued, "You head back to the farm, we will take care of everything here."
Looking back as they entered the cave you wondered if this counted as betrayal. You weren't sure, but rather than mulling it over you left the place.
From what you have heard the farmer and hunter were able to successfully get the harpy back to the farm. After that trip to the forest, you had a few odd jobs here and there on the farm, not a lot of dealing with the monsters as you need to be specially trained for most of those kinds of work but more so packaging the raw materials and loading them up on the carts to be shipped.
You didn't know that something started to follow you ever since that day. Eyes watching you as you move cans of milk from one side to another, or move and clean the wool shaved off from the weresheeps. Maybe if you noticed those eyes you would have done something about it, but you didn't and by the time you realized it was far too late.
It was one of those small clearings, the bell rang signaling a break for lunch. Under the tree, it shaded you away from the sun you sat to eat your sandwich that the farm provided. The sun was so hot against your skin that it made you work quite a sweat.
"Care if I join you?" The gruff voice made you jump in surprise as you looked to your side to see the same man you saw who was together with the farmer in the forest. It was the hunter you thought to yourself as you gave him a place to sit.
"Hey, thanks for the help last time. Because of you the harpy had his guard lowered and we were able to capture him without much of a problem. That guy is a little smart for its own good." The hunter introduced himself, stating that he was also an adventurer like you but would help this farm often when they needed some hands as he was friends with the owner.
You chatted for a while, and you found out that the hunter was a married man with a daughter and a wife who was pregnant with another child. "My daughter is a pretty girl. She also wants to become an adventurer like me. I should introduce the two of you when we have the chance" The hunter joked that it would be nice that his little daughter had a lady who she could look up to.
The hunter looked excited as he also had another daughter and told you how he could not help but spoil his daughter whenever he could. He was hoping that he will have another daughter but his wife wished it would be a boy instead. The hunter, while intimidating looking, was actually more easygoing and casual.
"Oop! That is the bell." You heard the rattle of the bell notifying everyone that you guys need to head back to work. "You have been working here for a bit. How long are you staying?" The hunter asked curiously. You told him that today was your last day, that everything here was under control now. "Ahh, then it is back to the quest for you I guess. Hahah! Well. It was nice to meet ya." The hunter also stated that you guys might see each other probably on another mission or at the guild.
Getting up first, he took his leave having something to do leaving you alone under the tree again. Before getting up you quickly checked your mouth for any crumbs or food that was stuck. Grabbing your mirror from your bag you also checked your teeth. When your name was called by one of the farmers, you hurried. Getting up you shoved your compact mirror into your bag but were unable to properly close your bag being in a hurry.
You didn't see your small compact mirror fall out from your bag, hitting the grass floor as you head inside with the farmer.
When you came back later to look for the mirror after finding out that it was not in your bag you could not find it anywhere...
More precisely it has been swatted away by a certain harpy who was watching you. Keeping the thing close to their chest, with a flush look on their face hoping that he would not be caught yet at the same time hoping he would just so that you would look at him again. But he can't at least not yet.
You finally went back home, after the last long day of working at the barn. Your pay was a little more than the contract, as the owner was generous from the booming business right now. You were ready to hit the bed and after a shower and a lovely dinner, you flopped on your bed.
Your body was relaxed, as you slowly went to dreamland when you suddenly heard a noise outside your window. Opening your eyes you moved to get ready, but you were too slow when the window opened and a black feathered monster rushed in jumping on top of you.
You struggled, but claws caught your arms preventing you from hitting anyone or even getting your dagger from your table side. "Mate!" You heard a chirp and looked up to get a good look at the thing that had you on its hold.
Your eyes widen and your body froze.
You recognize him, the harpy that you bandaged up on the first day of work at the barn. The black feathers and the awkward voice still struggle to follow human speech. Yet unlike before rather than cautious and feral, he was more ecstatic and eager to see you. Impatiently moving your arms as he wrapped his wings around you as if it was trying to hug you.
"Accept.... shiny g-gift... from mate..." His words were hesitant and slow in between chirps. But he wasn't shy, not with how shamelessly he clung to you. Cuddling so tightly as if to get the scent of him on you, rubbing his face under your neck while looking at you with hearts in his eyes when you looked down at him in surprise. "Mate likes... me!"
"What!?" You yelled in confusion, as you tried to shove him away to no avail. There was something wet on his shoulders and chest, something that you could not see properly in the darkness till your eye finally got used to the night. You were terrified.
You could not help but squeak when you saw it. The scent that you smelled from the harpy when he suddenly showed up did you finally understand what that red liquid on his face actually meant. His claws held your wrist preventing you from pushing away. The more you tried to leave the more tight his claws around you became. The heart in his eyes dimmed as he didn't understand why you were trying to push away from him.
"Why...why are you... why are you avoiding me." His voice was angry, a growl-like chirp produced as he forced you back to the bed. You didn't answer yet he followed your eyes and noticed you were looking at the blood on his cheek.
"Hunter... want to kill... me." He glared at you causing you to flinch. Looking away from him to your room, your weapons were too far away for you to grab and swat the harpy away. Regret as you didn't keep at least your dagger close to you. "Hunter... want to kill you... I.... save... you."
Your body felt as if it was growing cold as the harpy chirped in delight. His love-filled eyes back as he thought that you now understand and that you would love him back for doing the same favor for you after you saved him.
The hunter did not want to kill you. You knew at least that much. Yet that same man was killed by the very harpy that he hunted, the one that you have helped.
“I… save you. I love… you. You love me.”

Quest: Clear out the slimes in grandmother's garden.
Character(s): Slime Monster (Oc / Original work) Summary: You are an adventurer, taking up missions and quests in the guild. You didn't know that your choices all have unfair consequences. You thought of the slime more as a pet while it thought of you as a mate. Tags/warnings: Yandere!monster, fem!reader, non-consensual kissing and touching, possession (not the reader), taking a bath in front of a 'supposed' pet if that is a warning needed
{ - JRPG Quest masterlist - }
Tumblr media
You took a simple mission, help an old grandmother clean out the slimes that have been eating all her crops and vegetables in her garden.
Clearing out the slime with your sword you noticed a smile, a little lighter blue than the other slimes. Weakly moving around while others jumped in panic at the sight of your sword. You should have killed it then and there, but you left it.
The old lady was kind and gave you your reward for clearing out the monster yet she could not help but question if it was really all right for you to hold such a dangerous creature in your hand. "Are you sure it would be okay to keep such a thing? I know some people keep them as pets but aren't they still wild creatures?" You tried to calm the worries of the grandmother stating that you will only release the slime out to the wild.
Walking deeper into the forest you gave it some food to eat that you have brought with you. You watched as the sandwich slowly disintegrate inside the slime's body. You wondered why you let this one go, really while most slimes are harmless too many also cause trouble for the ecosystem. Maybe it was because of its unique color, you never saw such pink slime in your life.
"Don't come back if you know what is good for you." You mumbled poking the little slime on your hand. The gushing sound it made in delight perhaps because it finally ate made you smile. When you thought you were far enough from the place you tried to place the slime down. "There you go- huh?" You were supposed to plop the slime onto the grassy floor instead the slime continued to cling to your hand refusing to let go. "What the..."
No matter what you did, the slime did not let go. As you scoop the slime from one hand it started to cling to the other when you tried to remove the creature from your hand with your boots. It still didn't let go instead choosing to stick to your boot's ankle making it hard for you to walk.
After trying to get this thing off from you and failing miserably you had no choice but to take the thing back home as the sun slowly goes down and the day ends. "What am I supposed to do with you." You mumbled scratching the back of your head as you glance at the thing on your arms giggling in happiness that you weren't trying to throw it out anymore.
The little thing had become a pet of sorts for you. It followed you around the house everywhere you go. When you finish eating, the remaining food and plate you would feed it to the slime where it would eat all the leftovers and clean the plate and then give it to you. (You thought it the little thing could become your dishwasher with how clean your plates look but at the same time the idea that it was not washed by water and soap and instead slime doesn't sit right with you.)
It would follow you when you get ready for the day and follow you to the bathroom and even when you shower. The slime had at one point crawled into your bathtub once joining you in your soak. You didn't think much of it really, the thing didn't have eyes nor a mouth or anything it was just a blob really.
"Hmmmm" You poked the floating slime that did its best to get on your bathtub. The slime clinging to your finger at that moment and started crawling closer to you till it reached your shoulder nuzzling itself on your neck.
It followed you to your bed when you went to sleep. The thing tried to cuddle next to you again, and while it didn't bother you while in the bath it bothered you now. It was a weird feeling! How were you supposed to sleep went it feels like one side of the bed was wet. Too uncomfortable you grabbed the slime and placed it on a pillow that you tossed to the floor.
"That will be your bed from now on all right?" You told it satisfied when you saw the curious motion it was doing looking at you and then at the pillow. Too tired you were soon fast asleep.
You woke with the thing right on top of your chest as if it had sneaked up when you were sleeping. And the next time it happened again and again, you tried to put the small slime outside your room but it seems that since it didn't have any bones it was able to slide on the crack of the door and place itself again close to you.
You had gotten so used to this slime being in your life thought of it nothing more than a pet unknowing that in the end it still was a monster. That pink slime grew so attached to you, unknown to you its attachment was somewhat an obsession than something cute.
In a sense, it thought of you as its mate. Your affection for it was a courting ritual for the pink slime as it returned your affection with rubs in your hand almost as it was a puppy when all it wanted was to merge with you. Yet it can't. Slime went the smartest yet they pick up fast as it watched you interact with a man. You wondered what the slime was thinking when it watched you as you talked to your crush. You have fallen in love with another adventurer for a while now and while you two aren't partners sometimes you would join with him on a quest or two if you happen to bump into each other.
But you weren't able to dwell in those thoughts anymore when the adventure called your name wondering if you were okay or not as you seem to zone out a bit. "Are you okay? Want to rest somewhere?" "O-oh no! I am completely alright!"
You wondered where that slime had gone after the quest, disappearing near the end. You called out a small nickname you have given to it yet no blob of pink appeared in your vision and after trying to search for it for a while you returned home thinking that it finally returned back to the wild. You felt everything was odd at first there was no squishing sound of slime following you and when you tried to reach out for something you realized it was there anymore.
After staying in your life for more than 2 months you have grown used to the little guy that you can't help but become a little solemn at the thought.
Yet you didn't want this... You certainly didn't want this...
It was a rainy night when you got a knock on the door. It has been two weeks since the pink slime left but it also has been two weeks since you last saw that certain adventurer that you have in mind. You gasp when you saw him all drenched from the rain standing right in front of the door. "H-hey... It seems that i have been caught in the rain... Sorry, can I stay at your place for a little till the rain stops..." He told you having an awkward smile on his face.
You have given him the shower while finding clothes that he could wear. You let him stay for a while, thinking that he would leave the moment the rain stopped but it didn't as your heart beat with how close the man that you liked was as if the man was unconsciously nuzzling you on your neck as the two of you waited on the sofa for the rain to stop.
When you realize that he was that slime that you once cared for it was too late when he forced you down on the sofa his hand slowly changes to something more slimy texture yet still strong enough to pin your arms down. The smile he gave was so lovestruck and goofy as you could see specks of pink in his eyes.
When he forced a kiss something that the slime has saw all the other couples would do, you could taste and feel the texture of slime on your tongue as the slime on top of you curiously explore your mouth. His eyes were sickeningly sweet... you now knew you make a mistake in bringing the slime in.

Title: Creature's Infatuation
Character(s): Doppelganger (Unnamed character/original work) Summary: The servants didn't know that their abusive noble was switched for a monster that looked like him. You forced to marry him knew tho, that he created everything to have you in his arms. Tags/Warnings: Yandere!monster, fem!reader, yandere!monster x noble!reader, general yandere themes, manipulation, brainwashing, blackmail, forced feminization, noncon pet play, forced intimacy, imprisonment, tentacles, 1.2k words
Author's Note: This is an old one-shot of mine that I didn't post for a long time inspired the yandere viscount so it is similar to it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You didn't know how dangerous monsters could be… that some could turn into humans and blend into the crowd and you would be none the wiser.
If you were wiser… if you knew what would happen to you… you would hesitate even just a little, even just a second to help anyone who you saw in need. Maybe then you would not be locked up in this horrible mansion after selling yourself to pay off your noble aristocratic family debt.
You were nothing but a slave to him, with his affection and sick love, he kept you by his side. Nobody could know what happened here when everything was covered by thick curtains and dimmed lights. The servants here were nothing more than puppets. Their minds, which this monster had eaten just a little bit, placed itself, done just to get ever so closer to you and keep you locked here. He manipulated their thoughts while letting them think that they were still human.
You glared at the mansion, you glared at him who had caused you this suffering. Yet for the sake of something precious, you would give up that aristocratic pride, swallowing it down as you begged him to spare your family from their downfall. You said that you would give him anything he wants.
And all he wanted was you.
He told you that he would give you everything when he only did the opposite. What he said was nothing more than food that was taken away from you the moment you rebelled over the fantasies he had in his head.
He made you wear many costumes, dresses, and outfits, each and every one an arrow to your pride as he held your waist from the back dreamily looking at the mirror of you and him, telling you his disgusting and vile thoughts he was imagining when he first saw those clothes, how he imagined them on you.
The dresses that you usually wore were taken away the first day you signed the contract that you would be forever his. "Boring and lackluster," he told you. He would dress you with finer fabrics and silks that would make him excited to see, unlike the “dull and humble” dresses that you wore. It was unbefitting for you, he told you the first day, but you did see them later locked in a chest. Why he kept them, you didn't even want to know, not after you realized how perverted he was.
Gems and pearls of all kinds of accessories were also sewn into your new clothes. You were sure they would make a duchess or even a princess green with envy. He had gotten you almost all the latest trends that he fancied, which was almost all except the ones where much was covered.
Maid clothes that were more flamboyant, more revealing with a shorter shirt too short to even be appropriate. He had a particular fondness for lacy details, the more delicate the better.
Sometimes he would make you wear dog ears or cat ears, making you wear a collar as he cooed condescendingly, stroking your hair as he ordered you to get down and put your chin on his knee or forced you to sit on his lap.
Sometimes having you wear costumed shoes with heels too high to walk on. Barely able to walk on them, he would carry you, dreaming of how this was how a prince would carry his pretty princess. You wanted nothing more than to rip them off your feet, but with thick buckles and locks, it was practically impossible to take them off unless you chopped your feet.
To him, you became his pet, maid, princess, and whatever else perverted thing he managed to think up. Everything that happened in the mansion would never go out. The maids and servants didn't seem to care much about you, nor did they ever realize that the noble they served and some adored was a monster.
That the person they once thought to be him was long gone, rotting in some ditch as the monster took on his role just to make a situation that fits.
All they cared about was that their master had changed for the better, so in love with his wife that he shopped for all the violent acts he had done in the past. Not understanding that this was all wrong. Not knowing that he had control over their minds, that in reality, they were nothing more than lifeless husks made to believe that they were alive and that whatever he was doing to you was nothing more than normal.
From how he would lock you in a room as punishment, or how he would force you to feed him on his lap with overly revealing attire unfit for a noblewoman as he continued to be so fond of you.
Some days he would ask you if you loved him, loved him as much as he does to the point of obsession. The hurt in his eyes as he held you tighter asking what you wanted that would make you happy, "Why don't you love me as much as I do?" He would ask, as you watched tentacles move around the desk writing papers that were related to work. Tentacles that were connected to his back.
He pulled you closer to him, arms holding your waist tight, already forced to sit on his lap against your chest to touch his, which forced you to look up at him, unable to look anywhere else. Even if you were able to, it would be a bad decision to do so when he got angry.
Just as much as he loved dressing you up, you also have watched him morph many times, into something or someone else to make whatever fantasy even more real. The doors locked so that no one could come in, the windows shut so that no one could see through, and the lights but only from the flickering candle. "Do you want me to look like your lover? Would you love me more if I looked like him?" He asked, pulling your thigh closer to him, as you watched him morph, becoming nothing more than black goop to the man who you once loved.
The soft smile on his lips and the brightness of his eyes made you think that he finally loved you. It fluttered your heart but also sent shivers down your spine, as you knew that this wasn't your crush.
He was desperate for your love, yet at the same time, he was sadistic, forcing you to love him. There were days when he threatened you to stay by his side, unless you wanted to go out of the room or mansion naked, or face something worse. Your only choice was to stay there or hold his arm like a love-sick wife who loved him just as much as he loved her.
You felt gross, so vile, by this monster parading as a human and also forcing you to love him. But he didn't care, as long as he could see that you loved him and were by his side, playing by whatever whims he had in the bedroom or office. You were the person he had fallen in love with when he sneaked into the town of humans. You were kinder than anyone he had met. He had fallen in love with you that day and would do anything to keep you with him. He would even kill and take over the body of a noble just to get closer to you.
So long as you belonged to him.

He was a greedy man. In an arranged marriage, you still thought that you got lucky when you first met him. A kind man was what you thought him to be as you two awkwardly greeted each other. He treated you kindly and was a gentleman that you thought that even if this man was who you didn't love, you thought that you would do as you became his wife.
His soft smile as he asked for your hand, kissing it softly when you both first greeted each other. How he spoiled you already with words you thought he was gentle.
Really it was a delusional thought.
So quickly did he change, in front of others he treated you as someone he loves dearly yet in the privacy of your home he would drop that mask, his face almost uncaring and his words cold and manipulative. You were just a piece of item that was presented in a deal between your father who only looks at you as something he could sell and benefit from and your now husband a rich merchant who looked at you as a connection to your father, same as your father to him you were just an object.
Too quickly you have become used to this reality, your life hopeless from the start as your father nor your mother cared about your situation.
You stopped begging your mother to help you from the man who you knew didn't love you, a workaholic, and has eyes for other women. Yet you were only slapped harshly on the face as your mother berated you for your disloyalty to your husband. It was from then on that you knew you could not get out of this... when the people who were your family didn't care about you when the people outside were only jealous of you, and while others held respect for your husband unlike you.... a housewife who was lucky enough to find such a spoiling husband.
In a sense, he did spoil you... you knew he felt guilty when there were days he could not look at you in the eyes. It seems that he tries to cover all his guilt with material presents whenever he can. You have drawers and boxes filled with pretty dresses and pieces of jewelry. How he uses his words to try to make himself look just a little bit better and make you agree.
But this was not what you wanted. He and you knew both knew that.
Hopeless, you thought as you lifelessly woke up every day, forcing yourself to get up. You tried so desperately to look at the good, that your husband never raised a hand over you even if his words were like a snake sometimes coiling around your neck as he thank you for being so lovely. Thankful for the many benefits he had bought you from marrying him, ignoring the other problems. You can only nod. A smile doesn't reach your eyes as he went on that you were nothing without him.
When he was gone or if he was right beside you, you thought that most of everything was lifeless except a few things.
The plants that you took care of, small pots on the window sill that you planted from seed where you only small delights in your life. Your husband didn't care much for your hobby, but he did get a few flower seed packs as a gift, a smile on his face as people all looked in adoration of this lovely gesture.
Silently, you cleaned the house and cooked for yourself and your husband every so often you would go out to the market for groceries. You didn't spend much money on luxuries as your wardrobe was already full of dresses and accessories that your husband has bought for you to create an image that he was so in love with you and to push away the guilt.
Dusting the living room, you were cleaning a shelf that was full of items that were placed there for a show when guests visit. Most things were items gotten from adventurers, item drops from monsters, or rare dried plants. Items that he sold or traded with the other adventurers.
Your mind was in a daze, so busy cleaning the glass frames in the back of the shelf that you hit a jar with your elbow. Your heart raised as you tried to make a grab for it, but you were too slow as you watched the jar thankfully not shatter or break. However, the cork popped open from the jar as you watched black sludge slowly seep out.
You thought you could save it before it could touch the floor and dirty itself, you didn't want to make your husband upset at what you have done yet when you saw the sludge flinch and pull itself back into the jar you pulled your hands away, your heart on your throat.
"What..." You pushed yourself away from the jar in panic as you wondered what your husband had brought home without telling you.
"What are you?" You tinted your head at the moving sludge that slowly crawled out the lid when it realized that you would not do anything to hurt it. You were scared if not freaked out on what this thing was, yet you could not do anything as you watched it weakly trying to move. Little by little at a time. Just what did your husband buy...
Slowly you watched the slime reach out from far away a plant in your home, a small plant that you took to growing from seed was sitting on the window sill. Looking at it and then at the slime you threw your cautiousness out the window as you cut a leaf from your plant and carefully tossed the leaf into the slime.
You watched as the slime reached out, taking the leaf and pushing it within its body. Your eyes widened as you watched the leaf slowly break down with the liquid body.
"Are you hungry?" You asked cautiously. It wobbled a little as if nodding at your words. Standing up you quickly went to the kitchen without letting the slime out of your sight you grab a few cut vegetables from the cutting board and placed them near the slime watching it slowly eat them one by one.
You watched it slowly before a little more alive than before, which was hard to explain really as the slime was feature less without eyebrows or a mouth to tell its emotion but you suppose it jiggling its body a lot more compared to before is its way to show that it was happy?
You seriously need to know why a live slime was trapped in the jar sitting quietly on the shelf. Slimes are a common monster in the wild, but if you were not wrong, they were of a different color of blues and greens and rare ones of pinks that you saw in books. You never heard of black slimes...
Somehow, you managed to push the slime back into the bottle and place the cork back. Placing the jar back into the shelf, you waited for your husband to come. Thankfully, you needed to wait for only a bit more as you watched the sun go down.
"What is that?" You asked your husband who boredly looked at you and then at the jar that he brought home a few days ago. "It is a certain species of slime. I got that from a traveler who ended up in one of the deeper parts of the monster-infested areas and grabbed it." He told you in a monotone voice as he went back to eating.
"Why did you buy it?" You asked curiously only to receive a glare. It seems that he wasn't in the mood today. "Why? Am I not allowed to buy what I want with my money?" You flinched at his cold voice but shook your head. "N-no... I was just curious about its use."
His embarrassed face when he realized what you meant as he looked away and sighed, annoyed. "It is nothing really... slime has a variety of uses sometimes in the materials in building houses but also stuff like aphrodisiacs. The slime I bought is more of a special kind, as most slimes are mainly green or blue that are near human settlements, rare few are pink. That one is black due to its habitat being deep within the monster forests that no travelers are usually crazy enough to dare to travel. It is more potent than the other slimes. I was thinking of selling it at a higher price to a buyer."
Nodding, you glance at the slime again as you wondered if your husband knew that it was alive when he suddenly stood up from his seat, leaving the table. "I am not hungry anymore. I am tired from work, so I am gonna sleep first. Goodnight." He left before you could even say a word.
You were left alone in the kitchen, and the only sounds were your husband's steps walking away which grew smaller and smaller. It was silent as you ate alone, quiet when you took all the dishes away. You were used to this silence.
Washing the dishes after breakfast, your husband had already left early for work. The sun was up as you finished wiping the dishes. Looking at the remaining food that was left, you placed all of them on one plate as you headed towards the living room where the slime was kept on a shelf. You wondered if this was right if you should even be doing this, but as you watched the slime move inside the jar you opened it.
"Here you go." You said softly at the slime, letting it slide off the jar into the plate. The slime was first cautious but quickly started eating soon leaving nothing on the plate. "Good job." You whispered, laughing as you pat the slime with one finger, the slime bobbed as if happy from your pats. "One must not waste food, okay? hehe..."
Every day when your husband leaves home not coming back till late at night you would let the slime out of its jar letting it eat the leftover food that was left as you watched the chunks slowly break apart till there was nothing left but a clear black tinted slime. And when you grow to trust it a little, you let it move freely but only within your eyesight. The monster had also grown attached to you as it cling to your fingers hoping that you would continue to spoil it and attention and before your husband would come home you would place it back into its jar and pretend that nothing ever happened.
"Ah, don't touch them!" You said in surprise when it tried to go near the post of flowers you were caring for. Worried that it would eat them, you scooped the slime into your hand and took it farther from the flower pots. "You are not allowed to eat them, okay? I will be sad if you do." You told it. The ripple it made as if surprised at your words and then only to flatten could not help but make you giggle.
"You are such a cute thing. Are all slimes like you?" You asked curiously at the blob of slime."Slimes are common monsters, but since I live indoors most of my life, I have rarely a chance to see a monster for myself." You told it, it rolled to the side a little as it was trying to re-enact how a human would tilt their head thinking.
"I wonder if you could eat meat..." You handed a piece of stripped chicken from your leftovers immediately. The slime hugged your hand that held the food as you watched the chicken slowly disappear in its body, yet your own hand was without a scratch.
"Ehh?" You looked at the corner of the wardrobe, once filled with many boxes you thought of cleaning however when you finally got all the boxes out of the dark and went to grab a cloth you returned to a clean, dustless place with the slime right in the middle of the furniture. "Did you eat the dust?" You asked, you got your answer in a form of a squish-like sneeze from the slime.
"You shouldn't pull my skirt!" You slightly yelled, startled in surprise. As it tugged your skirt, the slime was definitely hungry and was begging you for food, but you didn't think it would pull on your skirt so suddenly!
"Do you want to go out?" You asked when you saw it still near a window. "I am sorry, but I can't take you out." It was a monster after all, and if someone saw it, you knew it would be killed right away.
You had created a special bond in a way. It was like your little pet, if not a friend to whom you would tell and vent your frustrations. You didn't think it could understand you, but when it nudged the heal of your foot, you thought it was trying to comfort you...
"Thank you." You said softly, patting it head. It bobs it head again
You thought that this would last longer, a foolish thought, but you hoped. You didn't know that when you were out, your husband would return home so soon planning on grabbing the slime as he had found a buyer.
As you went to the market to buy food for dinner you came back surprised when you saw shoes that belonged to your husband as you wondered why he had come home so early. Well, till you heard a crash and yells. Dropping your bags you ran to your husband's shouts in the living room as your eyes widen in shock the jar that held that black slime was on the floor broken with no slime in sight instead it was on your husband's face clinging as he tried to rip the slime off from his face.
"Get off of me!!" He yelled at the thing that blinded him. You ran towards them as you so desperately tried to help. Only to be harshly shoved by your husband who could not see you.
Your head slammed to the wall, and you blacked out. Darkness slowly took over your eyes. The last thing you heard was your husband's shouting, trying to get the slime off.
You don't remember how much time had passed yet, your eyes slowly open still dizzy from the hit to the head. Yet when you finally got yourself together you could not help but gasp, the living room was a mess with many broken pieces of furniture, the table was flipped to the side, frames fallen from the walls as well as the decorations from the shelf, glass shattered.
Your heart pained when you saw the plants that you took care of, broken pots and roots and soil spilled everywhere. Your husband was dying in the middle of everything nose, ears, eyes, and mouth all leaking this black liquid slime water.
Slowly, you crawled towards him in fear that he might be dead. Placing your hands on his chest desperately, hoping that he was alive, you could only breathe in relief when you felt his breathing. Soft, but it was still there. You placed your head on his chest in relief as you tried to calm yourself, and after a while, you forced your head up again.
Only for your eyes to widen in shock and your blood to run cold when you saw his eyes. As he grabbed your hands sticky from the slime, holding them so tightly that you could not get away. His eyes were love-struck as he looked at you, his tongue slightly out, and his breathing heavier than a few moments ago, and his face flushed red.
He pulled you towards him, your head spinning as he slammed your lips on tip of his as he pushed his tongue into your mouth, exploring it. His eyes were still open as he watched your dulled reaction, weakly desperately trying to push him away but wouldn't let you. When you thought that you would faint again due to your lack of breath, he acted like a staved animal as if he wanted to consume you, and he finally let you go. A trail of spite connected your mouth mixed with black as you stared at him in fear. His short locks that touched the floor you could see looked like they had turned into a black goop at the tips.
You watched as the slime slowly seeped back into his locks. The slime on his ears and face slowly absorbed back into his skin, giving you more evidence that he was truly not your husband... but the black slime that you have taken care of.
What have you done...
He wasn't your husband. He is a monster that took control over your husband's body, and you were scared that it was too late.
You should have screamed then and there if nobody had come to your and your husband's aid the first time this time they would. Yet it didn't let you before you could do anything slime wrapped around your body, holding you tightly as well as your mouth to keep you from screaming. Part of his arms has turned into slime. You yelped in fear as you stared at the man who sat up, a solemn face that you were so familiar with and cold eyes. There was also a hint of something else. Something crazed as he looked at you with those eyes that kept you on edge.
"You shouldn't scream, dear. People would mistake that you and I had a little spat." He smiled.
It was the same voice, the same face, yet the smile was unfamiliar to you. It wasn't that smile that he used in front of others it was more sinister, more lustful. As the rope-like slime was removed from your mouth before you could take a chance to scream again, he attacked your mouth with his.
You don't know how long he kissed you, shoving his tongue into your mouth and exploring your teeth and corners of your mouth. You dont remember his tongue being this long, reaching the back of your mouth so quickly. You don't know when you fainted, but even after it, he never let you go. The moment you opened your eyes again, your hands and legs were tied to the bed. He was in a corner of the room relaxing on an armchair watching you.
"Let me go!! What did you do to my husband?!" You demanded, flinching as he took a step closer to the bed, closer to you. "What do you mean? I am your husband." Not a hint of guilt nor hesitation was obvious in his voice as he smiled at you. The bed creaked when he placed a hand beside your head, while the other started moving your hair from your face, playing with the strands. "It seems you have forgotten about me. How cruel. No matter, I will just have to help you remember."
"For now I should keep you here, we can't have you go around screaming after all." He chuckled, there was excitement in his voice. The fact that he was able to have you here and his almost made him high as he continued to play with your hair uncaring towards the fear in your eyes.
Every day, he spoiled you with affection and adoration. As you were trapped in your own home, he would kiss you not only on your lips but many elsewhere and lovingly hold you in his arms and whisper in your ear his obsession. You tried to fight back, bite his lips when he kissed yours, yet he didn't care and continued in his affections. You tried to push him away, but he was stronger than you even before the monster took over him, and the slime-like ropes held you in your place.
"Hnn.." he groaned when you bit his tongue, yet when you expected the taste of metallic blood, you tasted nothing, instead yelped as he shoved his tongue deeper into your throat, causing you to have a vomit reaction. When you looked at his eyes, they crinkled almost as if smiling. You knew that he was punishing you. Right when you thought you would faint again. He released your lips to let you finally breathe instead, went to kiss your face, and continued his whispers of love.
It broke your mind, and he knew that. It took some time. Little by little, he continued to chip at your sanity. And when you were finally docile enough, quiet in his arms and reliant in his affections, he finally let you go.
Nobody knew what happened. The slime that took over your husband's body took it to work every day, and nobody could have been suspicious. Not even his own personality did they realize there was a flaw. Nobody really noticed you were gone for a while. Though a housewife who didn't have many friends, nobody would. He also made many excuses to make sure nobody looked for you.
He dressed you, before when you preferred something simple he forced you to wear the presents given to you in the past and more now. Dainty lace and cute frills he would dress you with. Kissing you on the lips before leaving for work, it was as if nothing had happened. Nothing was wrong.
"Here you go." Placing a box on your lap, he smiled at you, urging you to open it. Your hands slowly grabbed the ribbons and pulled them carefully. You opened the box and gulped at what you saw. A white laced lingerie something your past husband would definitely never buy you even after marriage. "It reminded me of you when I saw it. After all, I don't think I have spoiled you enough the time we got married." Placing a small kiss on your cheek right below your eyes, "From now on, I will give you everything that you have ever desired and more that you could only think of me."
He played with your mind. The slime that within him you thought was almost innocent after eating the man's memories had become sly. Mixed in with it, love and obsession towards you resulted in this possessive man. This man was kind. His touches were loving and gentle compared to the past, which was nonexistent. You knew that this man wasn't the same man you married instead you had to remind yourself again and again that this man was possessed by a monster that ate your husband's brain, and settled in the curves in it. It took everything away from your husband, his skills, talents, memories... his free will.
"Say ahh." You looked at the food right in front of you, hesitation in your eyes as you were forced to sit on his lap. Your face heated in embarrassment as he told you to open your mouth again. "Didn't you also feed me every day? Why are you so shy, honey?" He chuckled amused by your torment as he asked to open your mouth again. "I won't let you go till you finish all your food, alright? You always say wasting is bad."
You should be screaming. You should be terrified that this slime took over your husband's body and started to act like it was your husband. You felt your mind swirling with madness. Every action was so similar to your husband. The way he walked did not change nor did the manner of his speech change. As if nothing had really changed from the outside view, except... you watched as black goop that was supposed to be a replacement for earwax and eye gunk on his eyes and ears. When you kiss and then separate, you leave a string of saliva mixed with black.
"So cute." He chuckled as he held your face with his hands, breathless you panted after a long tongue kiss that he forced you to after a long day of work. He was the one giving you home after all, your wardrobe full of elegant clothes as he threw away the more simple plain ones, spoiling you with so much affection, yet you wouldn't do the same? Spoil him a little with your attention like you did before. He didn't let you go, holding you tightly towards his body. He knew that you gave you no room to express your thoughts.
Another day, you gave in to his teasing, raising your hands as you hesitantly pulled his face near yours. You have pecked him a couple of times already in his demands and always looked rather satisfied after it, yet it didn't seem to be the case today. When you placed a light kiss on his lips and were about to retreat, he didn't let you and pushed his lips on yours. "Tongue." Short yet annoyed, you saw his eyes and knew that you could not be getting away till you did what he told you. Hesitantly pushed your tongue into his mouth, his own curled around yours and pulled.
"You really shouldn't make such a face. I can only hold myself back so much."
The queen size bed the same bed that he trapped you in usually empty on one side in the past more often than not now had two beings in it, his arms hugging and holding you so tightly as if possessiveness and jealousy were swirling in his mind, angered that you have spoken with another man other than him when you went out with him. You thought your bones would break the way he was holding you, your back facing him he wanted to bring you closer and closer even when there were no gaps left.
"If only I could keep you in a jar whenever we go out. So that no men would notice you and you only have me." Annoyance and frustration were in his tone as you tried to pull away from the slime that strapped you to the bed. "I am so annoyed..."
He acted like he wanted to dig a hole in your heart whether that was physically or mentally you weren't so sure but you didn't doubt he could carve your own heart out when you weren't able to move from his embrace that tightens whenever you make a slight movent when the slime was the one who carved out your husband's conscious making him nothing more than a zombie it could manipulate as it steals both his talents, skills and memories everything that he has work hard over. He had told you many times that he could force you to love him, forced you to adore him.
Maybe he did take your body, the saliva like slime forced to swallow every day from the kiss was definitely doing something to your body. You just didn't know what...
Outside, he was soft and kind the same the past, the type of man any woman would love to marry, a gentleman. In the privacy of your own home, tho... he wasn't the same. He was nothing but a monster that was so possessive over your body and your being, so greedy for your mind to only think of him. In front of others, his touches were soft and gentle, a man so in love with his wife. At home, it was as if he wanted to chain you down so that you would only be for him.
"My wife is the most lovely person in the world. I would be nothing without her love and support." He sang to others as they looked at him in a kind of respect when it was so obvious that he was infatuated with you to insanity.
"I see you are wearing the gift I have gotten for you. Good, my love deserves a reward, don't you think?" The white lingerie hidden by your dress made you feel embarrassed even if you knew that others could not see it. It was like a mark of his, that you belonged to him.
Toxic you thought to yourself, this would eat you alive one day or another. Yet you could not do anything but follow along as your heart too greed for his touch and affection. His manipulative words were the same, but this time with an obsession that you could not help be grow addicted to.
"You are heating up. Have you become shy, or are you sick?" You flinched at his cold hand. He had become a little colder to the touch may be before how his body was really just slime, but in your flushed state, they were comforting. The sly smile as he faked his worry of your embarrassed self, teasing. He was the reason why you were like this waking up to see him staring at you for who knows how long.
"What is the matter dear you can tell me." He pulled you closer. You could feel his legs weren't so solid anymore under the blanket as the wrap around your legs was a reminder that he wasn't human, yet once he leaves the house, nobody will be the wiser.
You looked away, avoiding eye contact, then with a bit of determination hesitantly, you grabbed his white shirt. You knew the moment you did this, it would be the end. That you could not take anything back. Yet you can not help it, you can not help it anymore. His eyes widened in surprise as you pulled him closer to you for the first time. Did you ever make a move out of your own will.
The clingingness that you never once showed as your eyes begged him to show the affection you so desperately crave and grew addicted to yet for so so long tried to resist. The surprise soon morphed into amusement, then a lovesick expression of drunken high of an expression that he often showed after a long heated kiss as you were forced to drink all this slime he shoved down your throat. You had a guess as to what that liquid might be at first and felt vile at the thought.
Yet now it was something small, minor, compared to his attraction towards you, as you looked at him, still clinging as if trying to cover the gap between you and him, or maybe the emptiness in your own heart, you weren't sure. You didn't care anymore, after all, now you were loved.
After all, you were too broken from the start.

Note: okay now let me explain why there is too much kissing here... besides me being horny while writing this long ago- this is connected to the slime one shot that I have. Slime's "courtship" is basically giving a bit of the slime to the partner to show others that their slime companion is taken and now humans aren't slime... at least the reader isn't.

Tumblr media
Trapped in the yokai realm you looked at the sky. Water flowing down from clouds something you thought that you would never see in your life now as you watched the birds a little too big fly around it. Houses far away from here you watched floating out of thin air in small islands you wondered how free they certainly looked.
Standing up from the grass floor, cleaning up your yukata (a disgusting gift from him but it was far better than draping in gold) from the dirt. You stared at the vast field in front of you. So close you thought taking a step towards it away from the house you were trapped in. Raising your hands you tried to reach for the fields till your hand touched an invisible barrier.
You were trapped in his domain.
In his home in the spirit realm, he placed a barrier just for you. Proven and needed by the multiple times you tried to run away from his hold. "You shouldn't run away like that from your dear husband. What if others misunderstand? Though they never did care, busy with their own lives to care about a human being in this realm." You were too naughty, he told you waving his finger right in from of your face at your after your last attempt from running away.
"Oh dear, your lovely hands had been bruised from banging the wall. Really you shouldn't do that after all that wall was made for your safety. I don't understand why you are so determined to go out."
He knew why you wanted to get out. The sly look on his face as he placed your palm on his lips kissing it as you watched your injuries heal.
It was disgusting in your eyes, everything was.
How his long nails dug into your leg when he finally had enough of this when you tried to get away from having a meal with him. As you tried to leave the room only for him to grab your leg and tell you to sit. When it started to get a little boring, he started to grow ever more impatient. It was only so much time when his patience would run out.
The sounds of wind hitting the grass makes you relax a little. It was fake and an illusion made by him as you were taken away from the human world a long time ago. But it was better than staying in a room that looked just like the house you once lived in. What was once lovely now felt suffocating.
You wished you could turn back time. Time long ago before you meet him. Before you fell in love, if you could you will run. Run far away from him but now it seems that it is too late.
Back when you were innocent and naive, when you fell in love first with his beauty you didn't believe that a man like him would fall for you... would notice you. It was every girl's fantasy after all that a kind young man, rich and smart would look at them and they would both fall in love and make a family.
But you also thought somewhere in your heart that him ever loving you was too good to be true.
But he did.
"Hello." You looked up and your heart felt like it had leaped out from your chest the moment you recognized his face. Seeing your flustered reaction, the man can't help but smile.
Taking the time to get to know you and then court you. You were delighted at first but soon you fell in love, crush to love, so in love with his affections and care. So in love with his touch, and his words of adoration.
An innocent love it seems, something so shallow when you accepted his courtship. Your parents were also happy for you delighted of finding such a fine man who could care for you.
Soon you married and found a home with him. The heart in your eyes was still so obvious yet many say that it was your husband who loves you more. You thought you were lucky for it not knowing that in the future it would only become shackles.
There were a few things or habits that made you question him sometimes when you looked at his sometimes sharp nails, thicker than humans but also sharper. Or how he always knew where you were as if he could sniff you out from the crowd or how his eyes were always on you no matter what you were doing, he was always staring. Sometimes you thought his eyes were like that of a canine animal instead of a circular shape, his pupils would look more like slits of a fox with a golden shine. Or how you thought you would see a fox tail on his shadow even though he himself didn't have one. You were never sure because when you tried to look again they were normal again.
As if they were never there in the first place.
You thought that this would last forever. Maybe you would grow up with him old and wrinkled but still in love and that every single tribulation has been or will be overcome with him and by his side.
You shouldn't have woke up that day and just stayed in your bed than maybe you could have stayed in ignorant bliss. Late at night following your husband when he suddenly left to the forest, you should have just closed your eyes till the sun reaches the sky. When you saw his fingers longer and sharper than before.
Looking back to see so much fur, tails that look like a fox. Your heart dropped when you counted 9 all swaying slowly. The long ears on his head flinching made you frightened as you look at them, taking a step back you didn't see the twig that snapped right under your foot notifying him of your presence.
Your heart dropped when you saw his eyes staring at you, first surprised and feral which quickly changed into shock and understanding. His eyes that you used to love to look at now were gold and pupils slit like that of a fox.
You ran. You ran as fast as you could. You have to get away from here, away from him, away from everything. You ignored how your night clothes get caught up in small bushes, ignored the small puddles you splashed while running dirtying your clothes even more. Tears were in your eyes, was it caused by fear, or was it caused by a broken heart you weren't sure. You were still too confused. Confused about everything.
But all you knew is that you need to get out right now.
But you were nowhere near fast enough.
He caught up to you too soon, flying into the high trees he grabbed your waist and then your hands when you tried to hit him but failed to. You screamed but you were silenced, tears flowing even more from your face as you begged and begged him not to kill you. You kept your eyes shut scared of the pain and you chanted not to be killed but maybe it was better to die. The sly smile he had as he looked at you was both familiar and not, he was not the man you love. Not anymore.
The purring in his body as his tails warp around you to protect you from the cold. It didn't give any comfort at all.
"My dear, you know I would never kill." He told you as he wiped out your tears. No matter how much you moved, how much you struggled it was no use. He had you in his arms.
That night you had to say goodbye to the human realm as the monster took you away leaving nothing.
"Not when it took so long to finally have you."

Quest: Find a lost boy who ran away from home to the forest.
Character(s): Orc (Oc / Original work) Summary: You headed to the forest in search of the boy and happened to find an orc camp and somewhere on the side saw the boy in the hands of a tall orc. Tags/warnings: Yandere!monster (male monster), fem!reader, kidnapped/trapped, violence (both to the reader and outside), constant fear of being eaten, running away, being treated like a pet Note: Just to make sure while I was writing this I wasn't thinking the dnd style kind of thing but more so the generic common monsters that you find in games that you must kill RPG. (.... just that the orc is very tall and buff...)
{ - JRPG Quest masterlist - }
Tumblr media
Find a boy who ran away from home. The boy had gotten into a fight with his father because he didn't want to help out with work preferring to go out and spend time with his friends. The boy had run away in the morning but didn't come back home even after the sun started to set. His parents were worried and looked everywhere in the village but no sight of the boy.
They found out that someone had seen the boy running to the forest alone. They were in terrified when they heard it and the father wanted to walk straight into the woods and search for his son but was stopped by his friends who tried to calm him down. The man was nothing more than a farmer and it would be dangerous for him to go into the forest like this when there was many monsters lurking within the woods. It was preferable that someone who had the skills to handle it.
That is probably where you come in when you took the quest. Their pay wasn't really luxurious which was understandable for a farmer's family you thought that there could be a chance that their friends also chipped in a bit of money to help out in paying the fee.
But what you found in the search was something different and more severe for it could cost the lives of the whole village.
Ho... you looked at the camp made out of goblins and orcs. This was too dangerous for you to handle alone you thought to yourself as you looked at the armed orcs and the laughing goblins carrying rusty swords.
Goblins in this world are not necessarily the smartest, or most powerful strength or stealth wise as a matter of fact they are known to be weak alone and even beginner hunters can mostly take care of them if given the right training. And while many tend to stick in groups of 30 or less you never really saw this many of them at once.
There were more than 80 goblins from what you can see. Wild monsters that laugh so painfully to your ears as you were sure that there were more. Yet you could not help but gulp when you saw the many orcs around the tribe while not as many as the goblins they were half the many as goblins. Tall green-skinned monsters were taller than the people that you know. Long canine teeth show as they guard the borders of the camp with strong builds, tattoos, and necklaces of skulls both humans and other creatures you knew that these orcs were not for show.
You were supposed to run away and tell the guards of a nearby village that about the camp when you heard a small child screaming voice.
Running to the sound, you found a boy held by his collar by an orc. The boy tried to kick the orc yet it was useless when you compare their builds, the orc was too strong. That child was about to be taken by the orc when you screamed at them with your dagger out ready to hurt. "Realise the kid, unless you want to die." You warned the orc who stared at you. He didn't seem intimated at you, almost as if looking down at you with his bored stare.
He was taller than you, taller than humans. To him, you were nothing but a plant of wood at best or very thin twigs of bones.
Glancing at the child then at you as he moves the child back facing you, closer to you. You wondered if the monster was going to mock you for even trying, when you see his muscles you knew it might as well take three to four knights moving all together to even have a chance to take it down compared to an adventurer like you.
"Trade."
.... What...?
The gruff voice told you, not expecting them to say something like you have to do a double take wondering if you heard that wrong. Yet it seems that you weren't mistaken as he huffed in your silence.
"Trade boy. You stay."
"What..." You could not believe what the orc was talking telling you to trade your life if you wanted the boy to live. You considered it but fear swelled in your heart till you heard the boy's whimper and looked at him. Tears in the boy's eyes, he was terrified.
"You stay... boy let go. You mine." The orc repeated again, looking at you waiting he still held the boy on the neck.
The boy's life was within your hands. The boy whimpered again as the orc's grip tightened on the boy's clothes. He wasn't patient. "Trade!" You screamed at the orc your eyes on the boy.
The orc looked satisfied as he dropped the boy to the ground and as you tried to take the boy away cautious of the orc instead of attacking from a change of mind or taking the boy away saying that was all just him mocking you he instead grabbed you.
"HEY! LET GO OF ME!!" The orc tossed you on his shoulder as if you were nothing but a potato sack. You tried to scream as you beat his back with yours but he didn't seem bothered by your feeble attempts.
You yelled at the boy to get away from here and that you can handle yourself, the boy tried to help yet the moment he tried to grab a strong the orc growled at the flinching boy.
When you could not see the boy, far away that you were sure that he had time to run away if something goes terribly wrong you started to protest demanding that you would let down this instant as your leg and fist hit his muscles you knew he wasn't pained by any of your feeble attacks and what weapon you had was quickly tossed away by him the moment he threw you on his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
You were getting close to the camp...
You gulped as the goblins and orcs all stare at you in the arms of the orc, some goblins staring hungrily at you as if you were a meat buffet and maybe that was what they thought of you when one tried to reach out for your arm.
Only to freeze when the orc glared at the goblin growling as if warning the smaller weaker monsters to watch it. The goblin quickly backed away from you fearful of their own monster ally. You wondered if you were safe for a moment. Just a moment you thought that you would not be eaten at least not by them. You wondered if the orc wanted to eat you all to himself.
Into a camp hut, you were tossed into the stiff bed as you wondered if you would die right at this moment. Ripe limb from limb, you wanted to defend yourself but without a weapon and the orc being too tall, you didn't think you could even win much less escape as you will be mobbed by the monsters outside either way.
You didn't know what to do when he didn't do anything to you leaving you to do whatever you please in the tent, yet he did set boundaries when you tried to step out for a moment to look out or when you went too near to his weapons. He was watching you as sharpened his weapon, growling at you when you did something that you were supposed not to do.
While he let you go about the tent under his watch you could not help but flinch when he planned to head out for a moment, suddenly standing from whatever he was doing, grabbing you, and tossing you again to the bed with your leg tied with a rope to something heavy. After a while, he would come back with berries and fruits for you along with unknown meat (what tasted like a rabbit) and a water bucket.
At night he would join you in the makeshift bed holding you in his arms, you looked away from the monster that held you your heart beating fast as it was too close wondering when it would just bite your head off yet instead of that with his tight hold over you slowly he fell asleep, his breathing can be felt by your hair as you fearfully stayed still.
You thought of running, late at night unable to sleep you thought that this could be your chance to run away when all the other monsters were also asleep but the orc's arm was heavy, hugging your waist you could not help but move a little more than intended. As you tried to get up you checked to see if the orc was still sleeping only for you to stop breathing when you see him staring down at you, warning.
He was awake.
You can't help but wince as you tried to pull away in fear when the rope tied to your ankle stopped you from going any farther. You totally forgot about it... you looked down in instinct as if trying to show that you were small and that you were guilty and sorry. The orc huffed as he pulled you closer to his chest. Your head bumped into his long tusk.
Because of how you have been trying to move you were facing his chest now and pulled closer to him your nose bumped into his chest. You closed your eyes trying to act as if you were asleep sure that he was still watching you, daring to make any sudden movements.
He wasn't much of a talker and without your weapon, you weren't much of a fighter, you were a tiny human that a buffed orc kept like a pet in his own home. All he did was command you with one word, not fluent in human language but knowing just enough to force you to do something. For a moment you thought that the orc was actually nice when you noticed how careful he was around you as if you were fragile like glass.
What a horrible thought.
"Eat." A grape in from of your face but you looked away. It wasn't like you didn't want to but right now you just lost hope as he took you farther and farther away from your home. Tossed like a potato sack as the monster went farther and farther away from the nearest village. Yet when they found a village smaller than the one you save the boy was from, you could not help but feel bile come to your mouth as you heard the screams and fires a little away from you. You could not help them not when you were placed in a cage with other pitiful humans and guarded by more orcs.
As you pushed yourself away from the orc who finally collected you when the fire died down a little and more human slaves both young and old. How his clothes were tattered and burnt from the fire and blood stain his weapon and his hands as he grabbed you again and pulled you out of the cage to take you back. For a moment you thought that there was a reason why that skull necklace was on his neck and that it was something that was decoration.
You bite your lip as tears leaked from your eyes when he warningly growled if you were not eating something bad would happen slowly you took the grape to your mouth slowly munching in fear. He huffed again as he took another grape that you were sure was from the village that they raided killing anybody who tried to fight back.
You had to get away. Otherwise, you will really die.
It was a few days after the whole situation as you looked for a chance to run away when the whole place. When the orcs and goblins were moving again that day took a short break near a lake, the orc had left you under a tree to get some water. Maybe he trusted you a little that you would not run away anymore, at least he thought you didn't have the guts to actually run away.
But you did. When nobody was looking, already so used to your presence as the orc's pet you slowly sneaked away and when you were far enough made a mad dash.
You ran and ran even as you felt pain in your ribs you push through the suffering caring about living than a short pain. As you pant tired you still kept running through the forest but you tried your best in fear that this might be your first and last chance you could ever get away from the monsters. You were so desperate even as your legs wobbled you kept on running and didn't see a root of a tree sticking out that your foot caught on and tripped.
"Ow..." You mumbled as you tried to get up but could not help but hiss when you felt the pain in your ankle. You sprained it yet you could not dwell on those thoughts when you heard a loud roar, you knew that he found out that you left.
You need to hide, you need to hide. Looking around you crawled into a hollow log hoping that the orc would not find you. In a few seconds, you hear the sounds of stomps and you knew it was him pulling your legs closed to yourself you prayed that the orc would not look into the log and just give up.
However that hope was only shattered when you saw his face from the hole you crawled in, he was furious you could see in his eyes as he growled that he found you. Before you could crawl deeper into the hollow log away from the monster he grabbed your sprained ankle.
"Mate. Mine." You yelped when he dragged your feet pulling you out of the log with one hand, with how tight he was holding your ankle it hurt so much as he pulled you out upside down. Above the ground, you fearfully looked at the monster as blood rushed to your head. The monster was angry you could see it as he glared at you.
As he looked at your leg, you feared what was going through his head as his hand tightened around your ankle even more as if trying to break it. You screamed in pain as tears flew from your eyes to your forehead and hair. "I AM SORRY!! I AM SORRY!!" You cried out in fear that he would crush your bones to pieces making you unable to walk anymore.
Maybe he understood that you were scared and that you were actually sorry as the strength lessen. Tears still flowed from your eyes as he moved you to his arms now upright as he let go of your leg. You knew that you will not be able to walk for while not when you already sprained your ankle while running away and not when the lingering pain worsened because of the orc hand who was so close to breaking it as punishment for running away.
You are his mate or at least that was what he called you and now you could only doubt that you will ever be able to run away from his grasp. Not when he warned all the other monsters to watch you if you ever escape to catch you, not when he threatened you to dare leave and that he would break your legs if you do. Not when he placed a dog leash on your neck as he held the rope making sure that you will never leave him again.

Note: Okay gotta be honest orcs/goblins are deff not my thing but I had to add either them or goblins one way or another cause it is like one of the most common monsters in RPG games apart from slimes. And since it is like probably impossible for me to think of any goblin scenarios (I tried ;-;) I went for orcs. My mind the whole time was most deff thinking of a buff man than an orc so it may or may not have leaked in my writing. BUT ANYWAY HOPE YOU LIKE IT~!

Quest SideStory: It's two now...
Character(s): Slimes (Original work/Unnamed Char)
Summary: A what-if continuation of A Broken Wife; In a loveless marriage where your husband once didn't care, you can't help but fall for another man. But that was all in the past... well till you saw him again at the market with your husband.
Tags/Warnings: fantasy jrpg like universe, fem!reader, suggestive themes (both non-consensual and dubious kissing, touching, but no outright smut), possession (not reader again), mentions of cheating (husbands part unless you consider a wife constantly looking at another man cheating too), Stockholm syndrome (broken!reader), dubious consent, toxic relationships, imprisonment, emotional manipulation, drabble
Tumblr media
Random brainrot for that yan slime brain husband and wife reader. But like since you have been in a loveless marriage, decided by your parents. What if the reader falls in love with another man, someone who was far kinder towards you in the past, one that doesn't avoid your eyes.
However, you never made a move... After all, you were a married woman. How could you? The world around you that you live in would look down on you. A cheating wife. A disgrace. You thought you were able to bottle everything up. You thought that it was fine... to look from afar.
But that was from the past.
Cut too now. Your husband's brain is filled to the brim with slime and so possessive over you and what you do. Your every step, your energy, your eyes, to him it was all his. Yet maybe it could have stayed this way instead of something far worse. You should have stayed at home instead of asking his permission to go out that day, wanting no more than to stretch your legs and watch people bustle around the market. You really should have stayed back home when you went out on a date only to bump into the man you were so in love with in the past.
He greeted you with a smile, asking how you have been and that it has been a while since he had last seen you. And your feelings once forgotten due to all the things that recently happened came back like a speeding train crash. You were unable to look him in the face, guilt in your heart as you stuttered your answers.
Your face heated up, unknown to you, your husband could see everything as he narrows his eyes. Jealousy overwhelmed him as his hand on your waist tightened, snapping you back to reality as you looked at your husband. He was angry, you were so sure of it. Yet when you tried to stop him, scared that he would do something foolish, he suddenly smiled at the man greeting him as if he was never angry... as if he was never jealous.
Your heart thundered in your chest when you returned home in fear of what was to come. He was still holding your hip, still tight, never once relaxed till you finally got home. Yet as soon as he released your waist, he pulled you into him. His kisses were more aggressive than before, similar to when he was recently changed into a monster. He refused to let you go out for a few days, and if you tried to beg him, he did not let you go out.
It was a repeat of the past.
It took a while, but he finally calmed down as he released you from house arrest. You thought that everything would turn back to how it was and that everything would be alright till you heard a knock on the door. Your husband was at home, as he took a small holiday for himself, unable to concentrate on his work. Your heart dropped when you saw him again.
He greeted you, smiling as he asked you how have you been and that he wanted to visit cause he was worried about you. The two of you didn't have much time to talk last time as your husband cut in and rushed everything so that he could take you away.
You tried to smile at him, tried yet all you could think about was your husband that was in the corner listening. You fear that the man would die when your husband appeared to greet him once again. His smile was too strained in your eyes as he asked the man to come in.
Everything happened too suddenly, when your husband told you to get something for you guys to eat while he escort the guest into the lining room you hurrier to grab everything even knocking the tea box while rushing but it appears that you were too late when you almost immediately heard a crash in the other room. Running, you screamed your husband to stop. Your eyes widen as you watch him stand staring at the man who you once loved on the floor struggling to breathe as black goop covers his face, cutting his air to breathe. No matter how many times he tried to rip and tear the slime off his face, it was no use as it slowly moved to his brain. You tried to stop it, screaming to your husband in tears to stop. Begging to let him go, yet your husband looked down at the man so coldly, then looking with what you thought was understanding in his eyes, clearly you were wrong when he placed his hand on your face asking why you didn't listen to him. "Didn't I ask you to get the tea, dear? Staying here would only hurt you right now."
Grabbing you by your waist as you tried to stop everything that was happening. You tried to get down, push him away, but he held you tightly in his arms, kissing your temple and neck, telling you to calm down and that everything would be okay even if you didn't listen to him you were still by his side.
But you could not calm down, not when the man you once cared about so much was on the floor unmoving. He was dead. Someone died cause of you. In your mind, it was already too late. You knew it was already too late, yet you could not admit it to yourself.
You can't help hope when you saw a twitch of his hand when he started moving little by little but your heart only froze again when you saw his eyes that were looking at you, filled to the brim with an insane love.
You don't know how it came to be, you didn't understand how it came to happen when even the littlest of privacy was now gone in the face of two men, days where both of them suffocate you with their love and obsessions. Usually, when your husband had to go to work, you had a little time to yourself. But it was now taken by the man you once loved. His love was more obsessive than your husband's, who was more possessive over your being, but it didn't change the mania in their eyes, both the same and only for you.
Sometimes, you thought that they were more intuned with each other minds, and how they move always fills the gap by your side when the other has to leave for a moment. It was as if they had one mind. But days when it was you three, there was always this anger within them that they never say, yet their actions show. Your husband becomes more possessive while the other becomes more clinging. There was so much envy, jealousy, and anger towards each other. They fought for your thoughts, your mind, and your heart. Everything.

Title: Golden Mirror
Character(s): Mirror Demon(?) (Unnamed character/original work)
Summary: You were a princess, beautiful and lovely you weren't meant for the bloodshed of the king's seat. Cautious of when a knife would go through your chest you choose to make a deal with a mirror once forgotten in one of the many old storage rooms.
Warnings: Fem!reader, general yandere themes, violence and blood, horror elements
Tumblr media
You hate the mirror on the wall. You hated what it has turned you into.
You should have cast it away when you had the chance. Burn it calling it but a witch's catalyst. Yet you were too naive, too naive to its promises and words.
It gave you everything yet nothing at the same time, your dreams of becoming a queen of a nation it gave, riches, money and fame it gave but as payment, it took away your freedom.
You were a small child when you roamed the halls that were the castle's walls. You were a princess, one of many in the family. Ignored and uncared for your title was mere decoration compared to your older brothers and sisters who wished to be rulers of the kingdom.
You played often in the huge gardens when you didn't have lessons, and you roamed around the library in search of an interesting book to read. Travel along the castle in search of places you have yet seen before. One such place is a small storage room filled with antiques forgotten by everyone.
It was a treasure cove in your eyes, interested in finding a treasure or hidden gems but everything was old and rotten after years of abandonment.
All except one.
It was an elegant mirror once covered by a rug till you took it off, clean and polish the frame was made out of gold roses and rubies so beautiful that you could only gasp at how pretty it was. “Pretty!” you said in enchantment when you heard a voice chuckling and then eyes appearing in the mirror you could only scream in fear as you ran away from it scared of something lurking behind it.
You never went back to that room after that day, too scared to come back when something dangerous hid in it. You choose to forget, choosing to be ignorant of the monster in the storage closet. After all everyone looked at you weirdly when you told them about that room, stating that there was no such room in the first place...
Time passed and you grew up to be a darling princess, bright and happy people would say yet it was far from reality. You were ignorant… Spoiled as a princess wanting love yet unable to understand how to get it.
They looked down on you.
You weren't the only one to grow, your father the king so soon, so suddenly passed away leaving the throne and crown empty.
Many tried to take the throne you were thrown into the chaos as well whether you like it or not. Targetted as a potential threat to a future your sibling wants.
You wanted to run away but most of all you wanted to survive.
It has been too long since you stumbled upon the storage door late at night. Alone you want a place of privacy for you found even your bed hard to sleep in.
The mirror was the first thing you see, the blanket that once covered the mirror was still on the floor moved away by your young self. The gold frame and mirror itself didn't even have a lick of dust despite it.
You didn't run away this time when you heard a voice greeting you in mirth. You asked what they were yet they didn't answer. But they gave you something else instead.
A deal.
They would let you become queen, and they would help you survive in this cruel castle where all your sibling want is your neck.
They will keep you safe all in exchange for your blood.
You were too desperate for all you want is to survive. All you want is to live, to see the next day for you feared death and pain.
On the floor lies a knife stained by blood as you let the blood from the long cut on your palm drench the mirror's reflection.
You didn't understand that you signed your soul to them. Bound by them forever even after death and they would never let go.
A promise it kept drenching the walls of the palace with blood and screams. The pain and anguish as you watch your siblings killed one by one, gore and pain were everywhere your ears ringing by their pain. You wanted everything to stop, you want everything to stop as you begged them to stop.
Yet all they did was coo at you softly taking gently forcing you into a corner talking as if it was obvious that you be scared. Stay here. They were only fulfilling your wish.
You can't see where they were. Their hands and body were invisible to the eyes but there was a way to see them look in the mirror and there you can't help but shiver as you make eye contact. The smile on their face, wicked and delighted still cooing at you as you watched them touch your cheeks keeping your head in place from looking away from the mirror. You didn't remember what they said, pretty little thing so frightened that they could not move.
They told you that they would bring you the throne. That they will place you on the top where no one can touch you but them, that you will be the queen of the kingdom and they would never leave your side.
You didn't want this you didn't want this at all. Yet you can't stop it, no matter how much you beg.
They told you to smile, a whisper that only you could hear for they fulfilled their contract and you are now the queen. The little touches they left in your arms felt like the wind which you let yourself believe as you passed by mirrors that littered the walls. Big and small you choose to ignore the shadow following you, near you.
When you headed to the hall where the king, your husband and the people waited. Hollow things, as death took them long ago leaving nothing but puppets for the monster to use to their amusement. Nothing in this castle truly belonged to you, and nothing in this kingdom belonged to you after all you didn't ask for anything but to save your life.

Note: This is somewhat inspired by the mirror and the evil queen in snow white hope you like it!!

love’s lethal bouquet

anyway, ima try and tackle a commission i owe next so please take care yall<3
Tumblr media
—tw / tags: gn reader, implied drugging intention, implied teratophilia, implied exophilia, general yandere themes, sfw.
—featured character(s): the floral shop boss / plant monster (implied)
Tumblr media
Valentine's Day proves to be one of the busiest days at the floral shop where you work. Breathing in the heady floral scents that permeate the store, you find yourself in continuous motion, assembling bouquets of pink roses, carnations, violets, and every red flower known to man into the van. With your back straining from the constant lifting, you absently listen to the gentle voice of your boss reassuring an irritated customer about their belated delivery—
and you wince.
Although you should be in a rush taking care of the deliveries, you tiptoe inside the back of the shop to avoid interrupting your boss—
But he merely hangs up the phone upon seeing your flustered face.
“S, sorry—” You begin.
He shakes his head with a gentle smile playing on his thinly bearded lips and says, “Don’t worry about it, love.”
The way he addresses you as ‘love’ used to bother you. It always seemed so…formal, old-fashioned, but coming from him—your boss—he somehow makes it work without needing to force the romantic undertone. Perhaps it is because he is on the older side and being a foreigner in this little town of yours.
The town lies deep within the trench of an endless forest, and you wonder how your boss had found his way here.
His arrival several years ago stirred many gossips about him, with him keeping his lips sealed about his past, but everyone slowly warmed up to him. His succulent blooms, never seen before even in the gardening magazines, certainly helped. Now, your boss is a familiar face among the townspeople, with very few not knowing who he is. And, of course, his handsome and charming demeanor won the hearts of many too.
“But I would’ve made the deliveries on time if I didn’t eat brea—” you try.
His piercing green eyes soften as you nervously fixing your rolled sleeves. You halt when he suddenly leans in.
“Boss—?” You rasp at the new weights on your shoulders, trying to pay no mind to the strange dark strains on his thick fingers.
The way he held you was almost…fond—
And he pushes you outside to the doorway. “Go finish the deliveries, won’t you?”
“Really?” You huff, trying to ignore the red tinge to your cheeks and the heavy thumping of your heart.
Your boss smiles that damnable handsome smile of his and pats you on your head, saying, “Get to it. The sooner you finish, the sooner I can give you your little Valentine’s Day bonuses for working so hard.”
While giving his employees gifts during holidays and special events is not new to your boss, you still perk up in eagerness and reward him with the biggest smile you can muster. As you dart away with a confident promise to complete the deliveries, he watches you scurry to the van, inhaling sharply,
“Soon.”
Your boss murmurs, rubbing his knuckle with his other hand—as if to hide the sudden green spot on it. Tiny vines emerge briefly, before he rubs them away and pivots back to his cash register where his impatient customers have started to queue. Flashing them with a dazzling smile to reassure frustrated customers with a wordless apology, your boss absently peers over to his office.
There, on his desk, is the special bouquet he prepared for you and only you.
Imagining you burying your face into the fragrant cluster of your favorite flowers, oblivious to the true intention of its purpose, the toxic drugging qualities meant to lure you into his arms—into his ivies and his binds of vines and creepers—had him biting back a shudder. Restraining himself before the antsy crowd, your boss rings up a customer with an invisible countdown ticking in his head.
A countdown to have you.
The blooms nearby writhe and shudder, with most dismissing it as mere breezes from the air conditioner.
It was not.
—end…?

You were not sure how it happened... but really was already to late by the time you realized.
All you wanted was time for yourself, time away from family and friends, alone and far away from the troubles and pains that plagued you. You found a home far away, old almost antique and dreary. But it was cheap, the reason why you choose to sign the papers as quickly as possible without thinking why it was so cheap thinking that you were nothing but lucky.
It had flaws sure, when you looked at it, many things were in need of repair or just replaced but you knew that you could work with it and bring the house while not new but in a better state than it once was.
So you did. You bought the house that the past owner was suspicious all too delighted to be gone from his hands. You didn't seem to care much, maybe you thought that he was just an eccentric old man and walked into your new home that needed so much renovating.
You were ready.
Ready for a new life, and a new start. That was all you wish after all… but not like this.
It was normal at first sure you thought that you heard some weird sounds occasionally, sounds of something climbing within the walls, or the doors closing by themselves or knocking on the floor. But you thought that was just some random rat or small animal crawling into the hollow grasp of the walls or the wind shutting the door.
You wanted to change the color of the walls, the wallpaper already yellowed from old age had to go. You bought a few paints and wallpaper expecting that you had enough, but it seems that you didn't have enough pain not having expected to paint the walls three times instead of two coats.
You thought you needed to go to the shop again tomorrow finding it too late to go back now.
When you saw paint cans on right by the door the next day, a little old and dusty it did freak you out a bit as you looked around. You were definitely sure you didn't buy this, you looked around the garden but nobody was there maybe this paint was already in the house but the person had forgotten to give them last time and brought them here.
You ignored the nagging feeling and stapping on your gloves and wearing a mask you started to remove the old wallpaper on the wall planning on starting the wallpaper process.
Sometimes you swore that the house moved as if the walls were breathing… Maybe it was your eyes playing tricks on you, you weren't sure maybe you hallucinating.
Sometimes you felt the room suddenly grow cold sometimes you felt cold wind pass you even when you were inside your room and no windows were opened.
Sometimes it feels like it was going through you, sometimes it grabbed you out of nowhere, it felt like ice grabbed you that often you would yelp in surprise. But as soon as you acknowledge it the cold would disappear as if it was never there to begin with.
You walked out to your porch when the delivery man arrived with your new utensil and kitchen wear that you ordered on the internet. Thanking the man you went back home, you didn't close the door properly having your hands full you were really able to with your foot only but when the door close unexpectedly, you just smiled thinking that you were able to close the door by yourself.
Taking a cutter you cut the tape to open the box, seeing the utensils you headed to the sink to wash them up. Take the knives and spatulas and such out from the box as you washed them. It was after that when you were drying them when you started to wipe the cooking knives you wondered where you put that knife holder that came in a separate mail a few days ago.
Looking around you finally found the knife holder on the top shelf, where you placed it there due to too many things littered on your table at that time. You smiled as you reached to grab it, you were just barely tall enough to reach the holder from the shelf as you dragged it towards you, you might have been a bit excited or in hurry, and not really careful when it tilted and flopped to the side.
Your eyes widen when you saw a knife, a knife that you brought with you from your old home fall off the knife holder, clattering on the shelf, and then falling towards you. You watched as the blade looked straight at you, towards your face.
You should have moved, yet you weren't able to so frozen in place as fear and panic started to choke you.
Time moved too slowly, yet you were able to do anything all but squeeze your eyes shut, waiting for it to stab you most likely in your face. You waited to feel pain spread on your face and however...
Instead of pain, instead of a sharp pain a loud metal crashing sound made you flinch. You hesitantly opened your eyes to see the knife nowhere near you and when you hesitantly looked to your side where the sound came from far away near the fridge was that same knife. Far away as if it was swatted away before it could hit your face and it instead hit the wall right beside the fridge. Unable to stand straight, you slowly fall to the floor taking deep breaths.
Unable to comprehend what happened, only to shiver when something cold touched your face but soon gone almost immediately. Something was here and you can only hope that everything was a dream.
Your eyes shone when you saw your house coming together over the past month or two, cleaning to the wallpaper and flooring, replacing the furniture that can't be fixed, and more decorations to make the place more homely.
There were moments when you found the house creepy but you thought that it was just your mind playing tricks on you. You were happy to call this place home.... maybe...
You don't know when it started probably a little after the knife incident when your blanket became heavier as if trapping you. It may have been comforting at one point but now it was now too heavy and too suffocating as if it wanted to hold you down unable to move, unable to leave.
It wasn't only that either, you wondered why the doors were heavier as if rusty when you already swapped them for band new hinges, how sometimes it was impossible to open the window as if they were locked when they weren't. How it takes longer to get from one room to another as if they were stretched yet you couldn't see the illusion..
It was strange how you could see food in the fridge when you thought that you have already eaten your leftovers and prepared to head out of the market to buy some groceries or how the mailman never rang the doorbell anymore as you would only see your mail later on the side of your door, or maybe he does…
Yet when you opened the door he wasn't there and your package on the floor right in front of you. It was weird yet you didn't know what to do, your mind was frazzled and confused if not a bit suspicious but you didn't have any proof when you took another glance… nothing was out of place.
How the clothes that used to fit you comfortably, started to tighten as if holding you. How you felt someone's hand touching you when you watched tv. How you felt something was hugging you even tho you were alone. How you started to hear louder creeks in the house or voices too static to understand. You never felt you were ever alone that someone was watching you, that they were in the same room as you.
You couldn't see them, yet you felt their eyes were everywhere. All trained on you.
It was too sudden really when everything suddenly moved when you least expected it, the click of the door locking you from the outside. How each room’s window that you let the windows open for air circulation was suddenly shut all at once with a loud bang and locked.
You tied to pry them open, force them open to get out, but nothing budged, not even the chair that you tried to carry or the vase that you wanted to carry as toss to the window would move almost as if anything that was meant to harm the house your so painstakingly repaired was not allowed to happen. As if it would not give you a way to escape this place.
And for the first time, you felt cold arms wrap around you, unlike the last that would disappear soon after these cold hands stayed.
