lol, I didn't have Emm with me for the final Despair Demon fight under Dock Town on my first run so I didn't realize he gets all fiesty. Also, that fight was a BIIITCH for me on my first run on story mode, and now this is my second time with Ashallen but on Underdog - I wouldn't say I completely kicked its ass, but we came to a mutual understanding that it was going to die in a haze of Veil Lightning...after it tossed me around like a rag doll. -_-

I saw someone in the tags asking if anyone had audio of Emmrich when Rook goes down or is injured. Sorry about the ice blasts, this fight sucks. If I run across anymore as I'm cleaning off my videos, or as we continue through harder fights, I'll post them.

If I had a nickel for every time I fell in love with a death-themed silvery-haired man who called me "darling" and made combat a macabre and delightful dance, I'd have two nickels but it's weird it happened twice.

Upon repeated reflection, possibly the most disturbing thing about this is that there are rainbows dancing around it.

"Good morning, just another day in Arlathan! Would you like existential sylvan horror with your breakfast tea? Isn't it gorgeous?"

I think the reason these two get on so well is because there's literally nothing in the Necropolis that could possibly frighten her after Arlathan. Instead it's all rather intriguing and cute. Rooms disappearing and moving? At least they stay in roughly the same scope of time. Walking skeletons? Cool, we have trees that used to be people. It's a pleasure to be understood by you, sir, there's a wonderful horrific beauty outside and we can explore it together.

I call them Yapper and Zapper (veil ranger)

I've been thinking about how Veilguard was billed as "the most romantic Dragon Age game" and people felt let down by this description, and the more I play the more I think this description had nothing to do with the romance scenes and everything to do with understanding the companions and the different permutations of Rook. What does it mean to feel "known," to feel yourself recognized and accepted by another?

They both seem stubborn, I think their arguments are very irritating to everyone around them. Which makes them worse when they're both angry at the same person.
