#yeah the scene on the phone with petes grandma still turns my stomach#which would be one thing if thats what the show was going for and not 'this will be the foundation of a sweeping romance'#but vegas is so unredeemably evil i just dont see how anyone wants this for pete#i dont get it at all#does his backstory make him sympathetic in the sense that it is tragic and makes him a good villain?#yes. but tragic backstory does not inherently equal redeemable#vegas would have to take an ENORMOUS amount of accountability for me to ever get onboard this relationship#let pete be single#he deserves it#pete is still my baby#my overly empathetic to the point it makes him morally grey because he sees everything so nuanced#he cant draw any hard lines or convictions#loveable ruthless dark baby#pete deserves better :(#emilys fandom thoughts
