“Wake up, baby,” a warm deep voice said. Yemýa could feel the words tapping against her neck, causing her to wake up from her slumber. The goddess looked behind her to see her lover, smiling in her drowsiness. Alphonso’s hand rested on her thigh, gently caressing her supple skin. “Good morning, baby,” she said groggily. Alphonso kissed her cheek and kept his hand on her thigh. “How did you sleep,” he asked, trailing his lips towards her neck. “I slept fine, despite being up all night,” she said with a chuckle. “You know how I get when the mood is right,” he said, gently nibbling on her neck. His hand slid up her thigh, slowing making its way between them. Her breathing started to pick up speed, making her develop a soft pant. “Yeah, I know…don’t get me started. It’s so early,” she said through her breaths. Alphonso was the only man that held the key to Yemýa’s pleasure. She toyed with other men, enticing them to do and give her whatever she wanted. But, she was serious with Alphonso. “I like how you act when you get started,” he said as his hand met her delicate center. Feeling her lover’s hand cupping her flower made her open and lift her leg to him, allowing their lovemaking from the night before continue.

After the lovebirds’ passionate morning concluded, Alphonso had his obligations to get to and had to make an exit not before their combined ecstasy wore off. The goddess found herself in her pool room, her daily bathing session commencing. To her luxury, she had two faithful bathers that waited on her hand and foot. The nude goddess sat in a warm, spacious pool, eyes shut while the two brawny men massaged her body. They’d profess their admiration for her, the usual, “Yemýa, how could we ever repay you.” She remained silent, tilting her head as the man behind her began massaging her neck. The setting was dimly lit, the only source of light coming from the amber lanterns that were sparsely placed on the walls. The second man was underwater, his large hands working the muscles in her thighs. His grip on her supple skin was tight but it didn’t faze her. The way their hands were on her body as if they worshipped the very skin she was in. The feeling of the two men working the kinks out of her body was so therapeutic; so therapeutic it was nearly erotic. Her eyes remained closed until a voice came in, “Miss Sinclair, your father is here to see you.” Her eyes shot open, moving her attention to her assistant who walked into view. “Did he say what he wanted,” Yemýa asked. The goddess wasn’t in the mood for company but it was her father. She loved him but sometimes he could be overbearing and bothersome. Yemýa brought her attention back to her bathers, motioning them to cease their work. One of the bathers exited the pool, fetching her robe while the other assisted her out of the water. “Tell him, I’ll be out once I’m dressed,” she said while throwing on her robe.
The ruler of all rulers. The man everyone answered to. Yemýa’s father. The almighty Zeus. The silver haired god stood in his daughter’s foyer, his regalia showing through his pacing gait. Yemýa finally made her presence known, coming into the foyer dressed in a two piece yellow dress. “My love,” Zeus said with his arms outstretched. Yemýa met her father’s embrace, wrapping her arms snugly around his torso. “What brings you by, father,” she asked while they parted. “Is it a crime to visit my daughter on a beautiful day such as this,” he asked while draping an arm along her shoulders to lead her outside. Yemýa’s mansion resided on the beachside, overlooking the crystal clear waters and a small jungle-like forest.
"Yemya darling, when do you think you're going to settle down," Zeus asked while they strolled along the coastline. Internally, the goddess rolled her eyes but externally she only let out a quick exhale. Her father didn't approve of her free spirited lifestyle and often badgered her with the idea of being more conservative with her time. Even though Zeus didn't approve, he was also a free spirit himself which Yemýa found to be very hypocritical. "The time will come when I choose to settle down," she finally said. "That's life, Yemýa, but this bachelorette lifestyle doesn't suit a daughter of mine," he rebutted. The goddess stopped dead in her tracks, turning her full attention to her father. "I am my father's child because you're not innocent yourself. I can say I was single when I did my running around, can you," she said. This is where her grievance with her father resided. Even though they shared similar traits, they never saw each other eye-to-eye. "All I'm saying is you need to take life seriously and be with a respectable man and let go of that Alphonso character," Zeus said. This time, Yemýa rolled her eyes, folding her arms when he mentioned her lover. “There it is. You have a problem with me being with him. You've never liked him but you've never given him the time of day to talk to him," she said. "If you came here to lecture me about my life as an adult, I will gladly walk back home."
Yemýa didn't have the patience to hear the same thing from her father. She was an adult and no matter how many times her mother came to her aid and defense, every conversation they had always led to the topic of marriage. "Excuse me for not wanting a daughter of mine to carry herself like a loose woman," Zeus fired back. That was final straw. Yemya turned away, walking back to her residence.
A loose woman. Why would he say that?
