JOSHIN

Pátronos: Jowangshin, Bari Gongju.

Cor: Vermelho.

Elemento: Fogo.

Mascote: Bulgae (cão ou lobo de Sobaeksan).

Guiados majoritariamente pela Deusa do Fogo, Jowangshin, e pela princesa abandonada do submundo, Bari Gongju, a casa é apelidada carinhosamente de “Joshin”. Muitos podem se deixar levar pela emoção e esse é o forte de muitos Joshins que temos por aqui. Tudo o que envolve a sensibilidade é um grande conforto para os moradores. Alguns podem nem se demonstrar tão “sensíveis” assim, mas no fim, a grande maioria é sangue quente e nervos a flor da pele. Pelo menos, por dentro. São intensos e podem ser considerados até um pouco exagerados. Alguns também podem ter sofrido com algum tipo de abandono durante a vida... Mesmo assim, tal como as escrituras contam sobre a Deusa Jowangshin e seus cinco tabus, aqui também temos os seguintes:

1. Não falar palavrão na lareira.

2. Não sentar na lareira.

3. Não colocar o pé na lareira.

4. Manter a cozinha limpa.

5. Não adorar outras divindades na cozinha.

Embora alguns façam piadas com essas regras, tem quem leve a sério… Eu não quebraria essas regras, nunca se sabe a consequência que pode vir.

MIREUK

Pátronos: Mireuk, Jacheongbi.

Cor: Verde.

Elemento: Terra.

Mascote: Ungnyeo (urso de Ungnyeo).

Normalmente, estudantes de áreas que envolvem diplomacia se encontram na Mireuk, assim como aqueles das exatas, fãs de lógica, ou os 8 e 80. Aqui também se encontra parte do pessoal amante da natureza. Pés no chão, estáveis, tranquilos… Não são impulsivos como os Joshin, pensam muito antes de tomar alguma atitude e sempre optam pelo lado racional das situações. Materialistas e mãos de vaca: esse pessoal também sabe cuidar das finanças como ninguém. Muitos dos riquinhos e playboys também se encontram aqui. Ou melhor, aqueles que acumulam suas fortunas sem muito esbanjar. Normalmente sabem discernir muito bem entre o bem e o mau, o que é certo ou errado. O fato de serem mais racionais, às vezes, os impedem de viver aventuras ou tomar novos rumos que podem ser benéficos.

HABAEK

Pátronos: Habaek, Yeongdeung Halmang.

Cor: Azul.

Elemento: Água.

Mascote: Imoogi (dragão da água).

Poderosos e influentes como a força da água, podem destruir o que vêem pela frente, assim como podem ser vitais para a harmonia entre todos. Sem dúvidas, é a casa com o maior poder aquisitivo, apesar das outras três anteriores também estarem bem nesse quesito. Mas aqui, os moradores gostam de esbanjar mais. Estudantes de famílias ricas, influentes e conhecida como a casa dos "rostinhos mais bonitos" (talvez por conta de tantas cirurgias plásticas e procedimentos estéticos que podem ser pagos), parece que tudo gira ao favor dos Habaek. Podem ser volúveis assim como Habaek se tornou uma ovelha e um veado. Estudantes de cursos mais concorridos costumam estar por aqui, assim como aqueles de cunho artístico ou os famosos "Administradores porque herdaram uma empresa". Embora o mascote seja um dragão, algum movimento já ocorreu para que fosse alterado para o veado, mas até hoje, não houve mudança... Ao contrário da natureza fluida e adaptável dos Habaeks, que se assemelham um pouco aos Mireuk.

🎤 allkpop: B.A.P to hold a CD signing event on February 19th

Rookie group B.A.P will be holding their first CD signing event at Times Square in Yeongdeung-Po.

On February 19th, Hot Tracks will be hosting B.A.P’s CD signing event on the main stage area of Times Square mall. A high turnout is expected, as B.A.P managed to sell over 10,000 copies of their debut album “Warrior” in two days, in addition to topping the Hanteo Charts on the 16th.

The turnout is expected to be so large, in fact, that the management of the mall has organized twice the number of security personnel to be on shift that day in order to ensure a safe event.

Representatives from B.A.P’s agency TS Entertainment stated, “This is the first time since B.A.P’s January 28th showcase in Malaysia that they will be able to meet their fans on a large scale. The members are looking forward to the event.”

The CD signing will be held exclusively for those who bought copies of “Warrior” at the Yeongdeung-Po Hot Tracks store between February 14th to the 17th. 150 lucky winners will be chosen by lottery on the 18th, and their names will be posted on the Hot Tracks website on the same day.

Korean Mythology

Yuhwa (유화부인) was the goddess of willow trees.

Yeongdeung (영등) is the goddess of wind

Sanshin (산신) a guardian spirit residing in mountains, whose cult has been closely associated with mountain tigers.

Samshin-Halmang (삼신 할머니) is the goddess of life and childbirth.

Seonangshin (서낭신) is the goddess of villages, boundaries, and war.

Sang-je (상제) is Heavenly Emperor, and therefore king of the gods.

Paritegi is the goddess who serves as guide to the underworld, leading the souls of the dead to their resting place.

Minshin (문신) is the god of the door.

Kumiho (구미호) is nine-tailed fox. It can freely transform into a beautiful woman often set out to seduce boys, and eat their liver or heart.

Haemosu (해모수신화) is the god of the sun.

Jowangshin (조왕신) is the goddess of fire and the hearth. She protects the warm center of every household, and sometimes, she's viewed as a friendly goddess who visits with women in the kitchen and even offers advice and gossips with the women.

Jameunjang-agi (가믄장 아기) is the goddess of luck and fate.

Jacheongbi (자청비) is the goddess of earth and agricultural.

Eopsin (업신) is the goddess of wealth. She is one of the Gasin, or deities that protect the house.

Dalnim (달님) is the goddess of the moon. In one version of her myth, she climbed so high into the heavens, she reached the moon, becoming the goddess.

Daebyeol (���별) is the king of the Underworld.

Bugeun (부근신) is the god of sexual relationship

✧･ﾟ"Yeongdeung Halmang is the goddess of the winds and the sea in traditional Korean religion, particularly on Jeju island.

According to legend, the goddess resided in the East, but visited the island once a year, and sowed the foods of the sea, such as fish, seashells and other things which the inhabitants of the island lived of, and rituals were held to ask her to be generous."

DANBI YOON, is a student and just as her friend Hyuk, trained in swordsmanship. She had always preferred kendo since she was a kid and after the murder of her best friend ( who was Hyuk's lover ), she followed the male to Japan in order to train under Masamune, the retired swordsman. While Danbi appears bright and bubbly, she shares the strong resentment of the killer as much as Hyuk does and promises him they find that person together. A little lost in life, she focuses so much on getting stronger, she cannot see the obvious truth of her lineage. The woman of the Yoon family were always blessed with the ( metaphorical ) third eye, a blessing by Yeongdeung Halmang, who has come down to earth, specifically Jeju ( where Danbi was born ) and became a mortal woman to be with her beloved. Together with her friend and their mentor, she will soon learn the truth and what these powers might contain.

VALORANT theorycrafting and lore stuff

In this episode (5.), I will discuss Jett and the symbolism revolving them.

The potential inspiration from Korean mythology

In Korean mythos, there are two figures who could fit in well with Jett: Yeongdeung and  Dalsun.

Yeongdeung (영등) is the god that oversees the wind but the names vary on region, so this particular deity can be seen around as Grandmother Yeondgdeung. Additionally, some places see Yeongdeung as “grandfather” which means that, generally speaking, referring to the god as “him” or “her” is not anything new per se, though in some regions it is believed that Yeongdeung is a woman as, when she arrives, she is sometimes accompanied by her daughters (depends on whether or not the day is rainy or sunny, so Water Yeondgeund or Fire Yeondgeund).

I have also noticed that her blades have a circle on them which could indicate the full moon, which would lead me to the second name, Dalsun (달순), who is the sister of Haesik (해식). Their mother was a poor peasant lady who sold rice cakes for living. It is also hinted that Jett started working early and chopped food in a Korean restaurant. Later, in mythology, the two switched places because Dalsun was afraid of the dark. Their corresponding names in Korean are also Haennim and Dallim.

Knives

I would like to think that her knives are either Bi Su (hidden knife, 비수), very popular among the assassins, or Jang Do (장도), which is very commonly used by women. However, seeing how particular her blades are, I’d say that they’d fall rather under Bi Su. Perhaps they are made of chromium steel alloy and carbon which means that they are very durable and excellent for throwing.

Additionally, if we go for history, I’d say that these blades must have been inspired by Buyeo Songguk-ri (Songguk-ri is a period that lasted 850-300 BC), and many excavations have been made. During this period, various blades have also emerged and the steel colour ranges from green/turquoise to white/grey. We are dealing with stone daggers. Yoru suggested that her blades might be segreto, which are used in Korean culinary practices for example, and either way, if this is the case, the knives are made of carbon steel and is very wear resistant. In some cases, these knives can outlive their owners.

Name

Jett is literally a name given to a person, but that’s more popular in the West.

What I could like to bring out is the more interesting part about her given name, Joon-Hee. It is a unisex name and seeing how Jett is more or less going off as a tomboy, I dare to suggest that though she is referred to as female, it might be implied that she might be nonbinary or gender neutral.

This is a day late ‘cause I’ve been busy as all hell but a lair review for @putri ! Under the cut, of course

I always start with the first dragon in the lair and damn! Is this dude gorgeous! I love the subtle stain a lot, it gives the colors such a unique feel- just a tad warmer than they would be without it, and it really works! I also love how you highlighted his uncommon eyes (very nice btw) with all of the blue accent apparel-- and the layering on those cobwebs is divine! I also really love Aubade’s bio- it’s short and sweet, and the recolors in it are so perf! I love this boy dang!

I had to go check out Jihoon next of course, cause dang I love me some good gay dragons. I love all the gods you’ve got going on here- having minor dieties is so fun! I’ve got some in my clan as well ahh. Aesthetically you’ve got another super unique look here-- your lair is really unique? All the dragons in it are gorgeous in this way I don’t feel like I see a lot and it’s great! The copper with a little bit of brown apparel, the accent complimenting the wings and silks, the blues of copper being played up in the claw tips, mixing silks and the touch of pastel roses... this is the whole package and I love all of it! I especially love the layering of the veil over the daredevil cover, that’s a look tm. a gorgeous boy!

Anteros caught my eye next! The basic/Basic/Stained look is so simple but? it looks so damn good on them? I totally thought they were a double at first, I didn’t realize hthey were stained at all (some fake purple fan I am) but I love having them be a god of love and decking them out in roses and a dove as well as the crown... they definetly gives off a godly aura, but a sort of “loverboy” vibe, too, and it works really well! You once again prove to be a master of mixing apparel sets, and I love the different seraph jewlery together a ton, plus the smaller pieces of the night sky silks. It’s jsut enough to give them that spacey touch without over powering them! I also really love the dark purple wing border in their bio- that’s such a nice touch :0

Ohhh I love her!! Hyeonjeong is so gorgeous and dang that accent is so perfect for her, since she’s the god of blood and all. I especially love the antlers-- they’re sort of a nonsequiter piece of aparel for this look, but it’s really looking for her. I especially love the playing up the purple tones in blood poison, and surprisingly... smirdge? I normally don’t like smirdge but it’s perfectly subtle on her and I love it. I also love the golden aparel on her, it adds even more to this regal, detached aura she’s got goin on. she’s perfect I’d lay down my life for her.

Since they’re so new I can’t help but notice the fancy eyes, and I’m seeing them all over! Though to be fair, Carnus couldn’t have anything other than plague rare- they were made specifically for him! The green and red tones match him so nicely... And you’re back at it again here with the amazing gen 1s, gorgeous apparel, and fantastic lore. tbh, this is the sort of lair I wish i had :,0 I especially love the faries-- it seems like they’re whispering secrets of the future to this god of seers. Also-- this is a bit rancom, but I really love the flowerfall cohesion you’ve got going on. So many dragons have flower falls and it works so well for a pantheon like your lair!

Ahh I’m so drawn to purble... I love how much basic you have in your lair btw-- I don’t see people appreciate basic enough, but you’ve got such gorgeous, complicated outfits that the basic really lets them shine! And Lyon is no exception-- the gold is so regal and gorgeous, and if you ever decide to give her a tert it’ll tie in even better! I also really love that she’s an evil god of song? I know that’s a bit random, but it’s just so unique and interesting, it makes me wonder what it is about her that’s so evil.... either way, I love her

OKAY i’ve been holding off but I can’t... resist permababs. Chuu is so cute omg... I really love the little distinction of having different gods that represent different kinds of love, that’s really cool! And I love how Chuu discovered her specific god power because she had a little crush on another member of the pantheon... that’s a really cute story, and not the kind I feel like I see a lot! I also really lvoe the unusual eyes on her, they work so well. Man I love permababs, and I love Chuu

Summer, summer, summerrrrrr~ I love just how summery this guy is, and the first thing that stood out to me on him is the accent match, damn! it blends so nicely with the butterfly accent colors, and it’s a damn good list. His lightning eyes are so shocking (hehe) though I be he’d look fantastic with rare eyes, especially :0 More silks, more flower falls, more good looks! You’re really rocking the light aesthetic here, but in a way that works so well and is so unique! layering the flower crown with the veil is A+ and adding in those lil leg roses is even better- plus I love his bracelets, they match the bright orange so well! Your lair is just so aesthetic.

Yeongdeung is so pretty ahhhh. Your lair is like the opposite of mine-- tons of male posed dragons, while I have lots of female posed ones :p She’s such a pretty gal though, she’d stick out no matter what. Another fantastic stain-- that fade to healther on her legs and around her tail and face is so good looking, damn. Her outfit is simpler than a lot but she’s still super rocking it-- I reallly adore how cohesive your aesthetic is across lots of different pallets! I also really love that peacock recolor in her bio- I just think its really neat

Hooo pastels.... They’re so gorgeous damn. Those pastels with the tert that just pops right off the body is just perfect. I really love the flowers for this flower god, and just how perfectly their runes match their eyes. that silk layering is A+++ and I especially love the wreath on their head, which I don’t feel like I see enough! I also super love how he takes care of the godly gardens! Also, I’ve jsut seen this all over, but the matching wing borders for every dragons are such a nice touch,,,, damn its fantastic.

Το νησί Jindo είναι το τρίτο μεγαλύτερο νησί στην Κορέα, δίπλα στα νησιά Jejudo και Geojedo. Αποτελείται από 250 μικρότερα νησιά, και είναι διάσημο για την εμφάνιση ενός στεγνού δρόμου στη μέση της θάλασσας, κοντά στο τέλος του Φεβρουαρίου και τα μέσα Ιουνίου του σεληνιακού ημερολογίου. Δεδομένου ότι μοιάζει με απόσπασμα της Παλαιάς Διαθήκης στο βιβλίο της Εξόδου, η εκδήλωση ονομάζεται «Το θαύμα του Μωυσή». Όταν αποσύρονται τα νερά δημιουρείται ένας δρόμος περίπου 30-40 μέτρων σε πλάτος και 2,8 χιλιόμετρα σε μήκος, ο οποίο παραμένει για περίπου μία ώρα πριν χαθεί και πάλι κάτω από τα νερά της θάλασσας. Σύμφωνα με το θρύλο, πολύ καιρό πριν, υπήρχαν πολλές τίγρεις στο νησί Jindo. Όταν οι τίγρεις άρχισαν να εμφανίζονται συχνά στο χωριό, οι άνθρωποι αναζήτησαν καταφύγιο στο νησί Modo. Το νησί ουσιαστικά εκκενώθηκε και έμαινε μόνο μια ηλικιωμένη γυναίκα, η Bbyong, η οποία προσευχόταν καθημερινά στο Yongwang, θεό του ωκεανού, να την αφήσει να δει ξανά την οικογένειά της και πάλι. Γύρω από τον Φεβρουάριο, Yongwang εμφανίστηκε στο όνειρό της και της είπε, «θα στείλω ένα ουράνιο τόξο στη θάλασσα αύριο. Βάδισε πάνω σε αυτό και θα διασχίσεις τη θάλασσα». Την επόμενη μέρα η γριά Bbyong βγήκε στη θάλασσα και προσευχήθηκε ξανά, και καθώς το ουράνιο τόξο εμφανίστηκε, το θαλασσινό νερό διαχωρίστηκε και δημιουργήθηκε ο δρόμος. Μέσα από αυτό το δρόμο, η οικογένειά της και οι άλλοι χωρικοί γύρισαν πίσω στο νησί. Από τότε, όταν η θάλασσα υποχωρεί και δημιουργείται ο δρόμος, οι άνθρωποι γιορτάζουν το φαινόμενο, με γιορτή προς τιμήν του θεού Yeongdeung και θυμούνται τη γριά Bbyong. okay i haven’t even started and i’m off topic but i love the locations/lore that oxyderces’ bio contains? very good names for all? a+ job. will need to burrow into whatever lore is available at a later date, please and thank you. all of the gods are very good, i just don’t think my weird Very Mortal children would be friends with them, but we’ll see lmao. 

you have many, many beautiful dragons! thank you for sharing. i stuck mostly with those that had lore so as to better match with my own lore dragons

asphalius -- an! amazing! look! i’m such a sucker for jaguar, and stained has given her such a lovely, gentle aesthetic. her accent follows the plan - striking but not overstated, which works really well for her! the silk layering also works really nicely. i think the dragon closest to her, (idk that they’d be friends Neha is very Mortal and kind of a dork) would be Nehalennia! They’re both sea lesbians, and the divine axe/eagle aspects of asphalius/Geun Yeongdeung would mesh well with Neha’s more martial aspects (she’s my two fodder leveler for the Kelp Beds)

thesauros -- i truly love a good brown/green/purple palette and this pulls it off really neatly! stained can really do wonders if carefully applied :0

again, a lovely outfit, with careful attention to colors and aesthetic!! *chefs kiss* I love the idea of a god taking time to define what their aspect is. their closest match would probably be either Erin or Aude. both work with herbs, though Erin’s purpose runs more towards healing and everyday needs and Aude is the one with more of a bent towards mystic/religious uses for plants. their neutral good alignment is probably closer to Erin’s, however.

chalceus -- this is a truly excellent tundra who will one day (by the pic in the bio?) be a truly excellent pearlcatcher. i love the muted shade of the brick prim and the maroon sec with then the bright accent of the amber tertiary. i’ve really come around to capsule as a gene, and Tae Chaewon’s tert is another example of a very pretty application of capsule. I also love the marigold flower fall v. the dried flower garlands v. the gold wing silks? picking up on the dried flower center and complimenting each other. l o v e l y

closest match to chalceus would probably be my Oenone, an earth merchant with a penchant for shiny things and haggling. i’m not sure that chalceus would get along well with her, for if they have a hoard, Oenone would probably try to bargain or trick a few trinkets out of her

In September of last year’s Seoul concert, it became a major player in the emerging musical genres such as Interpark with the overwhelming advance rate and winning the No. 24 ranking in Yes24. The popularity and enthusiasm of the work also continued in local performances such as Seongnam, Andong, Mokpo, Jeonju, Ulsan, Daejeon, Gangneung, Busan and Daegu. It has received great love from all over the country, including 12 cities in the country, 65 performances, and a total of over 52,000 spectators (including 12,000 ROK soldiers). After graduating from the Military Academy in Japan, actors Kim Seong-gyu (1) and Lee Jin-kyu (2) (Lee Byung-jin) will join together in the ‘Chichungcheon’ station.

The actor Lee Tae-eun and Hong Seo-young will be in charge of the “Nabal” station, which is active as a student at the new unaffiliated school. After he grew up in the hands of the grandson, Hye-ran, who helps the independence army in the Shinhung Independent School, plays actors Lim Chang-min and Shin Hye-ji once again. The actor Kim Sung-ki has been cast as an actor Lee Hyeong-young, while actor Kim Tae-Moon has been cast as an actor.

Actor Oh Jin-young takes on the role of Lee Eun-sook, a female independence activist in the West Indies. Actor Jang Sang Hyun, who performed the imperialist policy, and actress Kim Min Ho (Il Byeong), who concluded a treaty on the merger of Japan and Korea, will be with Lee. 3.1 The historical value of the work is noteworthy as it is performed at the time of the movement and before the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea. In February of 2017, the Army held a contest for all soldiers in order to create a musical that anyone could relate to. In the total of 300 applications, the Army was the root of the ROK Army, and the emerging ” I was selected as the last school. The Shinhung Independent School is a school for educating the cadets who set up in 1911 in the name of ‘Emerging Races’ in 1911 in Jilin province in order to avoid the surveillance of Japanese imperialism, after Lee Yong-young, six brothers, Sang Ryong, Kim Dongsam and Dong- Until 1920, Kim Won-bong and Kim Sun-young and more than 2,000 independent military officers and 3,500 graduates were released. They led the battle of Cheongsan-ri, and they set up outstanding performances and honors in the military, the march, and the occupation. In 1919, Dong Nyun was the first prime minister of the Provisional Government of Shanghai, and Sang Ryong was the first Prime Minister of the State. In 1931, Lee established the Anti-Japanese Alliance and led the Japanese consulate and the dismantling of transportation of military supplies such as Amoy and Tianjin. As such, the Shinhung Independent School is a product of the strong and independent spirit of the Korean people and is the cradle of the anti-Japanese armed struggle, and it is regarded as a stepping stone for establishing the interim government of the Republic of Korea.
